I grinned. “I like the sound of that.”
“Multitasking,” Sawyer said. “Maybe we should start right now.”
I sat down on his lap and gave him a kiss.
“Hey, you two,” Sawyer’s dad said as he passed by us carrying an end table. “There’s work to do before you start playing. Go grab a box and carry it in.”
“Sounds like we’ll have to save the multitasking for later,” Sawyer teased.
“We’ll have the rest of our lives to multitask,” I promised.
Sawyer smiled. “I like the sound of that.”
“Me, too,” I said as I gave Sawyer another kiss.
Facts about Spinal Cord Injury
Data indicate that 1,275,000 people in the United States are living with spinal cord injuries.
Of those, 61% are males and 39% are females.
Males are nearly twice as likely to incur spinal cord injuries as females.
Of the 8,000 to 11,000 spinal cord injuries that occur every year, most of them involve 18-25 year old males in their prime risk-taking years.
