  SERIES BLURB

With a name like Heartbreak Falls, one didn't expect to find love at the new town I had moved to courtesy of my new stepfamily aka Mom's new husband and his sons.

Something was up with my new rich stepfather, his sons, and what happened to their last stepmother. Something was up with the entire town, which my stepfamily seemed to run. Along with the school where my stepbrothers reigned as cruel princes. All 3 of them were known as The Heartbreakers. Two were twins and my age, and then there was Tristan, the eldest. Gorgeous but god-awful hateful to me. What was up?

I was about to find out...if I lived long enough.

**Heartbreak Falls is a RH Dark Bully Romance and mystery for 18 and up. It is YA/NA and has themes of bullying and rough sex. If that's fine with you, then dig in! Dare Me Not is book 3 of 5 and contains a cliffhanger.

  Author’s Note

Thank you for picking up Dare Me Not, the third book in the Heartbreak Falls Series. This book contains scenes that may be triggers such as bullying and violence.

This is a dark romance and while it takes place in high school, the sexual scenes are between 18+ and above characters.

This is also a Reverse Harem, which means the main female character will have three or more love interests.

Finally, this is a bully romance which means enemy to lover romance. By no means do we promote or advocate bullying of any kind, but seek to prevent it in real life. If anyone is facing bullying in real life, there are resources and help out there.

  Prologue

  Haven

Max asked, “So have you thought about dating me…especially now that your parents are home?”

  “I don’t know yet,” I said.

“Maybe I can persuade you to ask again,” he said, kissing me in front of his car and right in the view of our CCTV at the front gate entrance.

  “Okay,” I said. “I’ll ask.”

“Maybe I can meet your mother?” Max asked. “She’s back, isn’t she? Is she inside?”

I wasn’t sure if I wanted Max to meet my mother now after seeing Megan Bradshaw’s purse in the trunk of his car. When she was killed, her purse was stolen from her, along with her phone.

Megan Bradshaw, as Tristan had shown me evidence of, was not the nice kind friend I thought she was. In fact, she was far from being a friend, but the worst person I could possibly trust.

And she was planning on kidnapping me and selling me into slavery to some person who wanted me because I was a Triton.

“So you want to meet my mother?” I asked.

Max grinned. “I want to ask her for her blessing on dating you, Haven.” He reached for my hand. “I want to do this right, Haven, because I’m going to be the only guy dating you.”

The gate door opened, and I arched my eyebrows at Max. “Looks like someone wants to meet you.”

Max straightened up and fixed his blazer.

“Come on,” I said leading him in through the gate and walking him up to the front door. Before I could take out my key to unlock the door, it opened.

And my new stepfather, Terence Triton, was standing at the door with his arms crossed.

“Oh, Mr. Triton,” Max said, a little surprised.

“Hi Max,” Terrence said, “What are you and Haven doing here?”

“Haven wasn’t feeling very well this morning so I brought her home from school,” Max said.

“How very gentlemanly of you, Max Bradshaw,” Terrence said.

He turned to me and asked, “Haven, Honey, you’re not feeling well?”

“I just need to sleep,” I said.

Terrence turned to Max and said, “Thank you for bringing my daughter home. Now you should probably go back to school.”

“Um, Mr. Triton,” Max said, “I was going to ask Dr. Hillshire something.”

Terrence raised his eyebrows. “Pamela? She’s out on an errand. Is there something I can help you with, Max?”

Max seemed to shuffle his feet. “I would like to ask permission from Haven’s mother to date her.”

Terrence’s serious expression gave way to one of amusement. “You’re asking for permission to date Haven?” He started laughing. “I appreciate your old-fashioned approach, son!” he said, patting Max’s back and bringing him further into the room.

“Well, Mr. Triton,” Max said, “Haven is special to me, and I want to get it right with her. I want to have Dr. Hillshire and now your blessings to go ahead and date Haven.”

Terrence turned to me and asked, “Haven, do you want to date Max?”

“Well, I have to ask my mother first,” I said.

Terrence laughed again, “Wished my own sons were that respectful of me, getting permission from me whenever they wanted to date a girl!”

Suddenly the thought of either Drake, Dillon, or even Tristan dating a girl or having a girlfriend who wasn’t me, made me seeing red.

“Not that they ever asked me for permission to date a girl, nor did they ever seem to have a steady girlfriend that I knew of,” Terrence said, looking at me.

Max glanced over at me then, as if he knew what I was thinking. Was I relieved my new stepbrothers didn’t have girlfriends?

Terence came over to me to feel my cheeks with the back of his hand, “Haven, you’re all flushed red. And you feel warm. You do seem under the weather.”

“Haven’s not feeling well?” a familiar voice asked from the kitchen.

I turned to see Tristan walking in, wearing the Heartbreak Falls Academy’s uniform, his backpack slung on his shoulder, and a pretty cheerleader hanging onto his arm.

I almost dropped my mouth in shock. What was Tristan doing home from school, and why did he have a girl hanging all over him like he was her boyfriend?

Max reached down to hold my hand.

“Yes,” Max said, “I brought her home from school because of it.”

“Good,” Tristan said. “I had to come back home myself with Kimmy here. Tonight’s the Heartbreak Falls Homecoming Dance which I’m taking Kimmy to.” Tristan leaned down to kiss Kimmy on the lips before turning to Terrence. “Dad, you’re needed at the office to sign some papers.”

“I was just about to head over there,” Terrence said to Tristan. He looked at me and said, “Tristan, make sure Haven gets lots of rest. She’s warm.”

“I will,” Tristan said. “I’ll take good care of her.”

“I’ll leave you in good hands, Haven,” Terrence said. “I would have felt bad leaving you when you’re sick, but I have to go sign some imp
ortant documents right now. Tristan helped me raise the twins growing up. He’s a really good older brother and my trustworthy right-hand man.” He grinned, clearly proud of Tristan.

“Okay, Dad,” Tristan smiled, “Better get going.”

Terrence left and as soon as he closed the door, Tristan turned to Kimmy and said, “Kimmy, sorry I have to cancel going to the Homecoming Dance with you. My dad asked me to take care of my stepsister. You heard him. I can’t go.”

“Oh Tristan,” Kimmy said. “Can’t Max take care of her?” She looked at Max.

Max said, “Of course I will.” He wrapped his arm around my waist to pull me close to him. “I’ll take care of Haven all day and all night.” He leaned in to caress my cheeks.

“That won’t be necessary, Bradshaw,” Tristan said.

He pushed Kimmy over to Max and walked to my side to pull me out of Max’s arm. “Time for Haven to go straight to bed, and you to take Kimmy home, Max.”

  “But…” Max started.

“There’s no arguing with Tristan,” Kimmy said. “When he’s set on something…”

  Max said, “I know. But…”

“No, Bradshaw,” Tristan said. “You will not be officially dating my stepsister. Not over my dead body.”

Max looked like he wanted to kill Tristan right on the spot, but he grabbed Kimmy’s hand and stalked out the door.

When the door closed after Max, Tristan pushed me up against the wall, crushing me with his body before devouring my mouth with a hot searing kiss.

His hand reached down to pull my panties down before unzipping his own pants and pushing them down.

“You shouldn’t have brought Max Bradshaw into our house, Haven,” Tristan said.

“I didn’t,” I said. “He insisted on coming in, and then the gate opened, inviting him in.” I moaned as his hand found its way to rub my clit. “Did you open the gate?”

“Of course,” Tristan said. “I have access to the videos from the CCTV camera pointed to the gate. I see everything in front of the gate, including Max kissing you.” He plunged his fingers deep into me, making me buckle with pleasure.

“Why open the gate then?” I panted.

“To let him in so I could punch him, but then I realized my dad was planning on staying home today, and I couldn’t let him know that you and I are together. I couldn’t let our father know I’ve been fucking you ever since you stepped into this house.”

He plunged his pierced and very hard dick into me then, grunting as he filled me fully.

I cried out, “Yes, Tristan. Oh God, yes!” He pumped into me faster and harder.

“I saw the CCTV Video feed of you taking Max’s dick into your mouth, Haven.”

“Since he can’t stick his dick into me where you’re fucking me right now,” I said. “I’m enjoying him sticking it deep into my mouth.

Tristan pulled his dick out and sat me down on the sofa. He opened my mouth before he pushed his warm dick in.

I began sucking his throbbing flesh like it was candy. I couldn’t get enough of him. He groaned, “Seeing your red lips on my dick sucking up and down it is the sexiest sight I’ve ever seen, Haven.”

I wanted to say that I didn’t want Kimmy going down on him, but my mouth was full.

“Fuck…” Tristan shouted, “Fucking good!” He exploded into my mouth.

When he subsided and pulled out, I licked my lips and said, “Now fuck you for bringing another girl into my house, Tristan.”

  Chapter 1

  Max

I knew I should have waited to ask Dr. Hillshire herself for her blessing to date Haven instead of Mr. Triton.

Had I known Tristan was going to be at Haven’s home, I wouldn’t have even stepped foot into her house. Anything to avoid Tristan.

There was once upon a time when Tristan and I were the best of friends. That was when my mother and his mother Rose Triton were the best of friends. His beautiful mother with her black hair and blue eyes and bubbly carefree personality was the perfect contrast to my uptight cool blonde mother Betty Bradshaw.

When Rose Triton was alive, I used to play with Tristan and the Twins like I was the fourth Triton boy. Rose Triton practically raised me since I was over at the Triton’s house more than I was at mine whenever my mother would drop me off to play with them, and she would go to Bradshaw Industries to work.

Seeing how Terrence acted so formally to me just now when I was at the Triton mansion reminded me how distant he had become, ever since Rose’s death. But then again, Terrence had never been warm and fuzzy to me when I played with Tristan and the Twins as a kid. The little interaction I had with him back then always made me nervous…like I had to watch my every move. Like being in a room with some dangerous animal.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Terrence Triton showed the entire world he was a warm and fuzzy family man, doting husband to Rose, and devoted father to Tristan and the Twins. Whenever he was home, he did dote on Rose and was devoted to his sons. But he hated the fact Rose was so close to my mother…that they were practically like sisters.

  Jealousy? Maybe.

Or that my mother hated him and could have been influencing Rose to turn against him?

I didn’t know. All I knew was that something happened between my mother and possibly my father with Terrence that caused that hatred. But they had to put on the appearance that they were good friends and business partners.

After dropping off Kimmy, that perky brunette cheerleader Tristan had hanging on his arm at the Triton mansion back at school, I headed to my own mansion, parked the red Ferrari in the multi-car garage and walked over to open the trunk.

I could have sworn the padded yellow envelope with Megan’s purse in it was in the trunk.

  Damn, where was it?

I looked through everything in the trunk, some gym clothes, sneakers, books… It wasn’t there at all.

  Then I remembered.

Haven had her backpack in the trunk.

Did she see Megan’s purse and take it?

Oh Haven, why? Why couldn’t you just stay out of it?

Megan was a certifiable bitch and big-time criminal who deserved what she got.

But Haven… I’d better get Megan’s purse back from her before they go after her for it and kill her. She wouldn’t even know what hit her before it was too late.

  Chapter 2

  Tristan

Haven climaxed all over my face as I ate her like there was no tomorrow.

I could not get enough of her, especially since I haven’t been with her at the Triton mansion since my father came back with Haven’s mother.

“Don’t you even think of dating Max at all when you have me, Haven,” I growled into her stomach, licking my way up to kiss her savagely.

“We’re not supposed to be together, Tristan,” Haven said matter-of-factly.

“So you think you should be with Max?” I asked, frowning at the idea.

“Max and I already act like a couple at Heartbreak Falls Academy,” Haven said. “You’ve approved the plan just so other guys won’t be hitting on me. Unless you want us to stop, unless you want Max to stop.”

Stop? With Haven, there was no going back once you’ve had a taste of her. “I’ll never let you go, Haven,” I groaned into her ear, kissing the sensitive skin behind it.

“I thought you wanted me gone? Away from Heartbreak Falls, and to take my mother with me?” Haven said.

Gone? I couldn’t even be away from Haven’s body for an hour without getting withdrawals.

“That was before I discovered what Megan had planned to do to you,” I said. “She wouldn’t have targeted you if you weren’t a Triton. It’s too late, you’re one of us now, and because of that, I’ll protect you no matter what it takes.”

I looked deep into her beautiful blue eyes, drowning in them as I realized I really couldn’t let her go any longer. I was so in love with her, letting her go would be like ripping my heart out.

  “Tristan?” Haven was look
ing up at me. “What’s wrong?” She reached up to touch my cheeks. “You have tears…”

I got up and turn away from her, wiping at my cheeks. I did not just shed some tears in front of her like some pussy, did I?

I found my jeans and t-shirt on the ground besides the bed in Haven’s bedroom and pulled them on. “Get some sleep, Haven,” I said, kissing her cheeks. “I need to go check on something.”
