“Also,” she continued. “There are lots of ways you can have babies now. You did well, son. Grandbabies that looked like the both of you would be gorgeous. Wouldn’t they, darling?”
“Oh, yes,” Mr. Walker said. “There are procedures. You can afford them.”
Trevor opened his mouth to protest. Basil smacked him quickly on the leg, so he shut up.
“I don’t know if we plan to have children any time soon, Dad—”
“Nonsense,” Mr. Walker said. He turned to his wife. “Imagine what the Burtons are going to say.”
“We have to get married first,” Basil quietly said. Trevor laughed, but Basil grabbed his hand. Trevor felt dizzy. “That’s why I wanted you to meet him. Mom, Dad, Trevor’s my fiancé. We are engaged.”
Trevor thought he might throw up.
Chapter Nineteen
Basil hadn’t meant to say anything like that. It had just fallen out of his mouth before he could think it through. His parents were hugging both of them, congratulating them, and asking them about the venue. His father was asking Trevor if he had ever been hunting and Trevor looked like he was about to cry. Basil felt a little bad—well, no, he felt a lot bad—he had sprung this on Trevor without even talking to him about it. He felt like he wasn’t holding up his end of the bargain.
It had seemed like the natural thing to do. Of course, a massive public break up would have to follow, but Basil wasn’t sure how long into the future that should be planned. He would speak to Trevor about it when they managed to get somewhere more private, without his parents’ prying eyes. All things considered, except for the unexpected outburst, everything had gone pretty well.
“I’m not feeling very well,” Basil heard Trevor say. His voice was shaky. “It has been so nice to finally get to meet the two of you, but I’m starting to get a cold and I think I need to go lie down.”
“Of course,” Basil’s mom said. “Are you okay? Do you want some water?”
“No,” Trevor said, shaking his head. “No, I just…I need to go lie down.”
He tried to smile at Basil’s mom but it looked strained. Basil grabbed Trevor’s hand and pulled him toward his apartment.
“I think he’s finding all this a little overwhelming,” Basil said.
His parents nodded and Basil managed to drag Trevor away from them and back into the safety of the stairs that led up to his apartment. He expected Trevor to call him out, to say anything, when he closed the door behind him.
Trevor was quiet, however. Basil stared at him for a second, wondering if he should say something about it, and chose not to. It was hard for Basil to see Trevor like this, so quiet and looking so shocked. The moment they had walked through the door, Trevor let go of Basil’s hand, and slumped against the wall, not even bothering to go up the stairs when Basil pulled at him.
Basil wondered what he should do for a few seconds. He could go up the stairs and into his apartment, but it would have felt wrong to leave Trevor there when he seemed to be so upset. Basil cocked his head and was about to speak when Trevor put a finger over Basil’s lip, his gaze meeting Basil’s with an intensity Basil wasn’t sure he had ever seen before.
Basil stared back at him. He wasn’t sure what he could say, he wasn’t sure there was anything to say. He grabbed Trevor’s wrist and without thinking about it, pushed his hand up against the wall, moving his face closer to Trevor’s. Trevor seemed panicked for a second.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” Basil said, suddenly feeling a little guilty Trevor was scared of him. He wondered if Trevor would shake him off or push him away but he just closed his eyes and nodded.
“Yeah,” Trevor replied. “I know.”
Still restraining him, because it felt completely unnatural to stop, Basil kissed him on the lips. It was mind-blowing, electrifying, better than any kiss they ever shared before. There was nothing reserved about this particular kiss, none of the sweet tenderness the way they made out normally started with. This was hungry, they both wanted it, and soon Trevor’s arms were wrapped around Basil’s waist and he was holding him so close they were grinding against each other like a couple of teenagers.
Basil moved his face away and groaned for a second as the sensation almost became too much. He needed more than kissing from Trevor. That much had become exceedingly clear from the way they were touching, from the way his incredibly hard cock was screaming at him. He knew he always got hard making out with Trevor, but that seemed like some sort of indulgence. Basil secretly thought there was something a little amusing about it. There was nothing amusing about this. It was serious, urgent, and it needed to be taken care of right away. He realized that as he kept pushing his body into Trevor’s, his hips convulsing as if they had a mind of their own. Fuck, Trevor was so sexy pinned up against the wall like this.
Basil didn’t care Trevor was a man. It had become the least important thing in the world. All Basil knew was he needed to have Trevor, right then and there, and his gender was completely irrelevant. Trevor grabbed the bottom of Basil’s shirt and Basil shifted back slightly so Trevor could take it off. As Basil lifted his hands up in the air, he looked straight into Trevor’s glimmering green eyes. They gazed into each other’s eyes for a moment, Basil wondering if Trevor would stop him, like he had always stopped him up to then.
He didn’t. The moment Trevor had finally taken off Basil’s shirt and it had fallen on the steps next to them, Trevor kissed him hungrily again, walking forward, this time grabbing Basil’s wrists and shifting so Basil was the one who was pinned up against the wall. Basil didn’t mind being restrained, though he hadn’t always particularly liked it. There was something about it being Trevor who was doing it, that made it so much better. Basil gasped when Trevor moved away from him to catch his breath. He had stopped restraining him, his eyes looked glassy, and his cheeks were rosy colored.
“Please,” Basil said, a tremor in his voice.
Trevor’s gaze shifted between Basil’s lips and his eyes. “What?”
“Don’t stop,” Basil said.
Trevor took a deep breath, one that seemed to make his entire body shudder, and Basil felt a shiver down his spine. There was something so fucking sexy about this, he hardly had time to process it when Trevor kissed him on the lips again as he pinched one of Basil’s nipples playfully.
Basil yelped and Trevor stopped kissing him to smile. “Yes?”
“Yes,” Basil replied shakily. He swallowed, his breathing fast and sharp, as Trevor moved from his mouth to his neck and planted soft kisses on his skin. Basil moaned when he felt Trevor’s soft lips on him. Trevor stroked his chest a bit, and his hand started to move down his stomach until he reached the buttons on Basil’s jeans.
He took a second to pause there, both to catch his breath and to stare at Basil. Basil closed his eyes, thinking he might die if Trevor didn’t keep touching, and Trevor touched Basil’s stomach with his fingertips. He stroked the little line of hair between Basil’s belly-button and the waistband of his jeans, his hand brushing up against the hardened cock his jeans were doing a good job strangling.
“Please,” Basil said again between sharp breaths.
“Please what?” Trevor said, baring his teeth at him.
Basil whimpered. “I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t know. I just need you to touch me, okay? Please touch me.”
“Touch you where, Basil?” Trevor said, his voice even despite his sharp and shallow breathing.
“Please,” Basil heard himself say, though that hadn’t been what he had been intending to say at all.
“Say it,” Trevor hissed.
Basil swallowed. “I need you to touch me everywhere,” Basil said. “I need you to touch me all over my body. I…I need you to touch my dick, okay? You do things to me.”
Trevor jerked away from him, just enough that Basil could see how surprised he was, and he nodded as he wet his lips. “If that’s what you want.”
“It’s what I want,” Basil said. “I don’
t just want it, Trevor, I need it. I need you. I need to feel all of you. Please let me.”
Trevor nodded, and he moved close to Basil as he started to undo his buttons. Basil marveled at how easily Trevor managed to get him out of his jeans. He moved them halfway down his legs, right on top of his knees, and grazed his fingers lightly on the line of pubic hair just showing over the waistline of his black Hermes Woven boxers.
“Fuck,” Trevor said, his voice a whisper. “You’re so fucking hot.”
Basil didn’t say anything. Even if he had managed to form a coherent thought, now Trevor’s hand was going down and he was wrapping his fingers around Basil’s erection. He had been expecting it, but it somehow still surprised him that Trevor was touching him, it felt so good, and he was pretty sure he could cum right then just from Trevor holding his erection without doing anything else.
Not that that was all Trevor was doing. Before Basil could process it, Trevor was down on his knees in front of him. His breath was tickling Basil’s skin and Trevor was grabbing the sides of Basil’s boxers and sliding them down his legs as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
Trevor looked up at Basil’s face when Basil’s erection popped out of his boxers. “Are you sure?”
“Yes,” Basil said. “Yes, I’m sure.”
“Okay,” Trevor said. Just like that, no hesitation, he grabbed Basil’s erection with a firm grip and wrapped his lips around it. There was no kissing, just straight up sucking that started off a little slow but already felt incredibly intense. Basil was very close and Trevor was using his fingers to hold on to the bottom of his cock which intensified every feeling, and his other hand was lightly squeezing his balls, which felt like they were ready to explode.
Trevor was good at doing this and despite Basil being quite big, Trevor seemed to have no problem taking all of him in. He was doing it fast, sloppily and with so much enthusiasm that Basil couldn’t hold back any longer.
“F-fuck,” he mumbled. “Fuck, Trevor, I’m cumming.”
Trevor didn’t move away from him, which Basil expected. There was no negotiation about where Basil was going to cum. When Basil couldn’t find anywhere to hold onto in the smooth wall behind him, he held on to the back of Trevor’s moving head as he came in spurts inside of his mouth, his legs trembling as he did. Once Trevor was done swallowing his load, his eyes closed, he moved away from him, and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
He was still on his knees, quiet, and his breathing was still fast. Basil leaned back against the wall, trying to find somewhere to hold onto. It felt as if his entire world had just been turned upside down, and he wasn’t sure how to even start processing it. He stared at the ceiling for a few seconds as his heart rate slowly went back to normal, as he managed to catch up to his breathing.
He looked down at Trevor, who was getting to his feet. “Do you want me to…”
“No,” Trevor said. Basil moved closer to him and tried to wrap his arms around Trevor, but Trevor jerked away from him before Basil could touch him.
“But I could make you feel so good,” Basil said, his arms still outstretched. Trevor didn’t say anything, he didn’t do anything, and he stayed out of the way of Basil’s touch.
“Trevor…”
He shook his head. “No,” he said. “I should really get going.”
Basil took a deep breath. “We can just hang out, if you want. We don’t have to touch.”
“No,” Trevor replied, his voice shaking.
“Please, Trevor,” Basil said. He was just as upset as Trevor looked, though he wasn’t sure why. “Can we just…can we talk, please?”
“No,” Trevor said. “No, we can’t talk.”
“We don’t have to talk,” Basil said. “We can…we can just hang out around each other.”
“I don’t want to hang out around you,” Trevor said. “I need to go.”
Basil watched as Trevor turned on his heels, walked out, and closed the door loudly behind him.

Trevor’s head was spinning as he closed the door behind him. He wasn’t sure if he was even going to be able to leave the Walker estate, everything was gated and secured, and he was moderately sure he would have to press a button that he would only have access to if he had been in Basil’s car. Not that he was going to ask Basil to give him a lift. The last thing he wanted to do was spend time with Basil in an enclosed space, or really at all. He didn’t want to see Basil. He didn’t even want to think about Basil.
All he wanted to do was go home.
He hadn’t even grabbed his stuff. He thought he had been prepared to meet Basil’s parents but he hadn’t expected this. He hadn’t expected things to go this far, and he certainly hadn’t expected to have sex with Basil when they first walked through the door. If anything, Trevor wanted to punch Basil in the face for what he had done, but Basil had disarmed him with kisses and Trevor’s cock reacted before he could. He wasn’t thinking clearly, he hadn’t been thinking clearly ever since he had started going out with Basil.
He’d been so stupid. He patted the back pocket of his jeans, trying to find his phone or his wallet, but he had left everything behind at Basil’s place because he believed they would go back there. He had believed everything would work out fine; he and Basil would go back to Basil’s place, and have beers with each other while they talked about what had just happened.
Of course Trevor had been stupid as fuck to think that. He shook his head as he quickened his pace, the fence looking way more imposing than Trevor thought it would.
The fences were about twice as tall as he was and as far as he could see, there was no way he could prop himself up on them. He got to the fence, grabbed one with his hands and swore under his breath when he noticed it was still wet. It must have rained. He walked over to the gate—it took him a full ten minutes and every minute he got increasingly annoyed. It was a little shorter and there was a railing across the bottom of the door, so Trevor thought there was a way to spring himself up over the door.
The moment he climbed up on the railing, he heard a beeping noise and the door started to move of its own accord.
A fuzzy noise came from a speaker on the brick post the gate was connected to.
“We’re letting you out,” an unfamiliar female voice said behind the fuzziness of the speaker. Of course the Walkers had servants and people who were watching the gate at all times. As Trevor hopped off from the gate and onto the concrete, he tried to ignore the blush in his cheek.
At least he was thinking about something else for a second. Not about fucking Basil.
Chapter Twenty
“What happened to your fiancé?” Basil’s mom asked.
He gave her a long look, trying to ignore the growing knot in his stomach. He was still confused and worried about what had just happened. He really didn’t want to talk to his mother about Trevor, especially not under false pretenses. He wanted to go to bed and hide. He wanted to pretend this day had never happened. He couldn’t do that, of course, not if he wanted to keep it going.
Basil swallowed. “He felt bad,” he said. “He decided to go home.”
They were sitting in the living room of the Walker mansion, his mother watching television while he thumbed through a new magazine that had been sitting on the coffee table. His father had gone to play squash and while he had invited Basil, he had declined, just like he almost always did. His mother asked him how much of the wedding planning they had done. Of course the answer had been no planning, because the wedding wasn’t real, Basil wasn’t going to get married to Trevor and their relationship was just pretend.
“Oh,” his mom said. “Is he okay?”
“Yeah, Mom,” Basil replied, his mouth dry. “I think so.”
“Okay,” she said. She smiled and her whole face brightened. “It’s so nice to finally meet someone you care about.”
“Yeah,” Basil replied and licked his teeth.
He felt like such a piece of shit for having li
ed to her, but that was not the only reason he felt so terrible. He wished he could talk to Trevor. He had tried to text him and call him, and he had gotten no response. Trevor had bolted so quickly Basil figured he didn’t want to be bothered, but he still couldn’t help but check his phone every few minutes.
He felt a stab in his heart every time he looked at his phone. There was nothing on his screen. Of course there was nothing.
He wanted Trevor to say something, anything. He knew he owed Trevor an apology at the very least. He shouldn’t have done what he had without talking to him. On the other hand, it wasn’t as if Trevor hadn’t wanted to hook up with him, they had both been into it. Trevor didn’t have to suck his cock but he still had. He didn’t have to kiss him back but he still had.
Maybe the sex came at a surcharge. Trevor said there was no sex, but obviously things had changed. They had changed the moment Basil had introduced Trevor to his parents, the moment he decided he was going to tell them they were engaged.
He needed to fix things.
“Mom,” he said. “I think I’m gonna call Sage, then maybe swing by Trev’s place. I want to check on him.”
“Of course, honey,” she replied. “Do you want me to get you the number for this wedding planner I know? She’s wonderful and I think she’s done a bunch of gay weddings. Is Trevor religious?”
Basil swallowed. He didn’t know if Trevor was religious, he didn’t know anything about Trevor’s background at all. Only what he needed to do to prepare for the meeting with his parents.
“I think his parents might be,” Basil said. That sounded reasonable enough.
“Well, if it’s an interfaith wedding, that needs to be arranged,” she said. “You need to go to pre-cana.”
“They do pre-cana for gay couples?”
“Our priest is very liberal and pretty young,” she said. “What kind of congregation would we be if we alienated the LGBTQ community?”
Basil smiled, shaking his head. He got to his feet and kissed his mom on the top of her head. “I love you, Mom.”
