When it was time to open gifts, Lucifer found a chair and pulled me onto his lap. He refused to let me up and everyone got a kick out of my embarrassment. We got a ton more things for the baby including baby baths, a diaper genie, everything you could think of. I was able to take a deep relaxing breath feeling truly prepared for the next few weeks. After we cut the cake it was time for dancing. To my surprise, it didn’t take any coaxing to get Lucifer up. It might have been the drinks he’s had. They brought out the hard liquor a while ago. He grabbed my hand and led me out to the dance floor. When we reached the center and I wrapped my arms around him the music cut off abruptly. I looked at the DJ in confusion and Lucifer took a step back releasing himself from my hold.
“Babe.”
I frowned. “Yes?” I asked nervously. I had no idea what was going on.
“I want to do this with you, you know like all in. With you, with the baby. I want us to do this yea?”
I nodded. “Yes.” I couldn’t understand why we were having this conversation now, especially in front of everyone.
“So you know you’re fucking mine right? And nobody else’s, I won’t ever share you.”
I shook my head. “I know.”
“Let’s make it official babe, marry me.” It wasn’t a question as he produced a ring from his pocket and lifted my left hand and slid it on. The room broke out in applause while I just looked at Lucifer in shock. He stood there patiently waiting for a response.
Naturally the first thing I could think of was something smart. “Was that a question?” I asked in a whisper so low I wasn’t sure if he heard.
He shook his head. “No babe, it wasn’t.”
So what else could I do but nod and let him wrap me up in his arms. I leaned my head back for a kiss and he brushed his lips against mines. “I love you.” He whispered against my lips and I felt tears prick my eyes.
“I love you too.” I admitted and it felt like my world was complete.
Once the dancing started the party kicked off full steam ahead. Once I saw the usually serious and uptight Amanda dancing on a table with a glass of bourbon I knew it was time for my departure. I made my rounds and met Lucifer at the door. He drove us home and for the first time that night we made love.
Chapter 16
One Year Later…
“I am so happy they seem to be done with that construction. It’s torment!” I complained to Lucifer.
“Stop bitching.”
I stomped a foot. “No, I will not. The headaches are insane and they aggravate Jianna too.”
“I still can’t believe I let you give our daughter your fucking fake name.” he grumbled.
I turned around and smiled at Lucifer who was staring at me across the room as I was taking out clean underclothes. “It grew on me and deep down you loved it.”
He rolled his eyes. I walked to the bed and put down the towel to get dressed. I heard Lucifer let out a guttural growl and I looked up in time to see him eat up the floor to get over to me. “What are you doing?” I asked nervously.
“You can’t be prancing around here fucking naked and think I’m not going to fuck you.” He growled as he reached me and wrapped an arm around me so that he could pull me roughly against him.
“How else am I supposed to get dressed? I have to be naked at some point.” I argued.
He nipped my lip and I yelped. “Now that I’ve got you here, there are some things we need to discuss.”
I bit my lip to hide my smile. “What do we need to talk about?” I asked innocently. Of course I knew what it was he wanted to discuss. James and Nettie threw me my bachelorette party last night and we went to a strip club. To say when Lucifer found out last night he was pissed would be a huge understatement. He was livid and I had to turn my phone off when he started blowing up my phone. They dropped me off wasted and I passed out immediately right before he could go on his rant.
“You went to a fucking strip club last night?” he asked.
I nodded. “Yes.”
“Did you look at any of those fuckers?” he asked eyes narrowing.
“Of course, I did! What else would I be doing there?” I asked sarcastically.
He growled and lifted me and tossed me on the bed and he followed me down. He grabbed my wrists and pinned them to the bed. “You want to try that again?” he asked.
I shook my head. “No. Not unless you want me to lie.” I offered.
He leaned down and bit my chin. “You don’t ever fucking lie to me, you hear me?” I nodded too turned on at this point to talk. Having his body on top of mine and his arousal pressing against my stomach had me wet in anticipation.
“Yes.” I answered.
“Now did you touch them? Did they touch you?” he asked.
Truthfully I did look; I mean can you blame me. But did I indulge in lap dances or anything else, no. Why would I when I had him waiting for me at home. Did I admit that to him? No. “Yes I got a bunch of lap dances.”
His clothes were off in seconds and he was in me. “Don’t fucking play with me bitch. This is not a game, I don’t play with you. This body is fucking mine. You are fucking mine. And NOBODY touches. What. The. Fuck. Is. Mine.” He punctuated his words with deep powerful thrusts that had me shifting up the bed. “Tell me. Tell me this pussy is mine.”
“Yes. Yes. I’m yours Lucifer. I belong to you.” I said between breaths.
“Why? Fucking tell me why.” He urged.
It’s become something of a routine with him to coerce these words out of me during sex. “I love you.”
“Say it again.” He pressed.
“I fucking love you. Fuck!”
Lucifer groaned. “I’m cuming baby, cum with me.” I nodded and when he leaned down and kissed me I exploded.
When our breathing became normal, he sat up. “Move your ass, we need to go.”
I scoffed. “That’s what I was trying to do before you jumped me.”
Lucifer chuckled. “Let’s go.”
Jianna had spent the night with Nettie since Lucifer and I needed to run a few errands this morning. We needed to make them quick as the wedding was in two days and after this we would basically be parting ways. We had decided to wait a while after Jianna was born for us to tie the knot officially. Mainly to give me time to plan in between raising a newborn and working. Being a first time mother and working seemed to consume all of my time so I think we made the right choice. But here we were. It was September and the weather was still great outside. I had high hopes that things will work out.
We left the house and I looked at the construction zone next door. There were large fences clouding the area almost as if it were this big secret. They’d been working on the area for a while now and I’ve no idea what the heck they’re building. The amount of time it’s taking I’m sure it’s a mall or store of some type but this seemed like a horribly weird neighborhood to do it in. You see, I know this might be weird but we were still crashing at Nettie’s. There was just so much at once we didn’t want to overwhelm ourselves and possibly create issues we didn’t need to. Plus, we spent this past year getting to know each other and our daughter. I think it’s one of the best choices we’ve made thus far, but once we’re married we will be looking for a home of our own.
When we got back from running errands, Lucifer basically held me hostage in bed. He said it was to make up for the hours we’re going to be spending apart for the time leading up to the wedding. I wasn’t looking forward to that time as not only will I be away from him, but I would be under nonstop pressure and chaos in the final wedding preparations. Bull picked me up that night to take me to his house. He would be crashing at ours with Lucifer while James and I stayed with Nettie. James had called Kelly and accepted a job offer and made the move to Jersey. Having both around full time was a reprieve as they were both absolutely crazy about Jianna. Lucifer has also been spending time at home since we started living together. He would go to the club and handle business but at night when it was part
y time he would be home. If he wasn’t busy at the club he’d stay home and made himself available whenever we needed him.
The day in the hospital room when we had Jianna and he teared up, I’d never seen him so human and vulnerable. He fell in love with her almost instantly. She’s definitely a daddy’s girl, has him wrapped around her little finger. Seeing this massive man bend to her is a sight I tell you. And the other guys from the club treat her like a princess, Bull especially. He’s her godfather and they’re thick as thieves. I’m sure one day he’d make an amazing father.
I sat perfectly still as the woman that James had hired completed my hair and makeup. James was practically shaking in anticipation to get me into my dress. I however was a completely nervous wreck. James and I worked together to design the perfect dress for me.
“All set.” The makeup woman said.
I turned around to face Nettie and James. “You look beautiful!” James gushed. “Dress time.” He said unzipping the bag holding the dress. They both helped me into the dress and once it was on I turned to inspect it.
The entire back of the dress was made of a lace design showcasing my back. The entire front top portion was made of the same material leading into a leather fitted bustier styled dress. The lace outlined the dress from the waist down leading up to the mermaid bottom. It was different and bold and actually looked stunning on me. My hair was pulled back into an elegant curly bun style that I knew nothing about but looked really great. I forwent a veil thinking it was too much for us. I had on a pair of black stilettos.
When my dad came in to get me to walk me down the aisle his hand immediately flew to his mouth. His eyes teared up and in turn so did mine. “You look beautiful princess.”
I smiled. “Thank you daddy.”
He walked over. “I thought you might need a few extra things.”
He handed me a box and I opened it. Inside was a beautiful diamond choker with matching earrings. I looked up at my dad in question; I already had jewelry I’d planned on wearing. “They were your mothers; she wore them on our wedding day… I thought it would be your something old and something borrowed.” The tears brimming on the surface escaped as I traced over the sparkling diamonds with a shaky hand.
“Would you put them on me?” I asked.
My dad nodded and gently secured the jewelry in place. I looked at myself in the mirror and admired the jewelry. “You look just like her you know, it’s like looking at her in the flesh. bellissima principessa.”
“Grazie papà.”
He wiped the tears from his face. “Now you’re something new...” he handed me another box. Inside was a bracelet. It was white gold in a snake design encrusted with more diamonds than necessary. On the inside it was engraved, Forever After Abee. There was a small note underneath it and I lifted it.
This is the first of many new for the future.
Forever after.
L
I smiled and secured it onto my wrist.
“You ready?” my dad asked.
I looked at him and nodded. “Never been more ready.”
James and Nettie exited with Bull and Cutter who was the maid of honors and best men. We didn’t have bridesmaids or groomsmen. The song changed to the wedding march and with my arm wrapped through my father I followed him down the flowered path in the garden we’d chosen for the ceremony. There was a slight breeze but no chill. When I spotted Lucifer standing at the front, my heart stopped. Nettie and James had been hell bent on getting him in a tux. I however, told him that I didn’t care what he wore as long as he was there waiting for me when it was time.
He was wearing all black. His tux made him look absolutely delicious. I loved the man in jeans and a t-shirt, but seeing him like this was something. His hair was cut, but still mussed up in the way I liked and his five o’clock shadow was firmly in place. His black tux fit him like it was tailored made – which it most likely was – with a black shirt and tie. He had on a fitted leather vest, which had to be custom made as it adorned the Hades MC patch small in the upper left corner.
I eagerly made my way to him at the front and he practically snatched me away from my father and kissed me. “You look beautiful babe.” He whispered in a raspy voice and I blushed. The preacher proceeded with the ceremony and we opted for the classic version and not write out our own vowels. Honestly, Lucifer didn’t have a problem with it but he couldn’t promise to keep it clean. So as not to offend the preacher, we decided against it.
When it was all said and done, I’d forced Lucifer to take pictures but he refused to go to the reception. He was ready to get out of there, and since Jianna would be staying with my dad for the next two days he was ready to make a clean get away. Being that I was feeling the same I didn’t fight him when he grabbed my hand and led me out where no one would see us.
“First thing’s first, I get to give you your wedding gift.” I told him.
To his dismay, he handed the car keys over to me when I refused to tell him where we were going. I drove us out to the cemetery where his son was buried. When we got there he looked both pissed and weary. I’m sure from confusion as to why I would bring him back to a place that held so many memories of pain on our wedding day. When we got out of the car he wouldn’t budge.
“What the fuck are we doing here?” he finally asked.
I sighed. “You’ll see.” His face told me that that wasn’t going to fly. “Please? Just trust me.”
He grunted but he let me grab his hand and lead him. We navigated through the cemetery and I could feel Lucifer’s unease emanating off of him in waves. As we got closer to the gravesite, Lucifer’s body became rigid with tension. I stopped when we were mere feet away and turned to Lucifer.
“Listen to me; it’s going to be ok. I’ve got you, you can do this.” I encouraged him.
He shook his head. “I haven’t been here since I buried him. I practically abandoned him and I’m not sure I can fucking deal with this.” He admitted anxiously.
I squeezed his hands. “You can.” I made sure to hold his eyes so he could see my seriousness.
He let out a sigh and gave me a small nod. We closed the distance to the gravesite and I stood silently by his side as I waited. His eyes scanned the grave slowly and when they fell on the headstone he inhaled a sharp breath. He took a few steps forward and dropped to his knee and ran his hand over it.
“Babe.” He whispered.
I walked over to his side and put a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Yea?”
“You did this?” he asked.
I nodded. “I did. He’s as much a part of our family as anyone else.”
I looked at the headstone. I’d had a name engraved on it. Lucifer had confessed to me that he’d never actually named him. Mainly because he didn’t have a name to give him. Once we signed the marriage license I had this done. I’d given him his father’s name, John Bianchi Jr. he loved his son, and in turn I loved him. Although we would never get to know him, at least he could rest in peace knowing he has a family that loves him.
Lucifer stood and wrapped me in his arms. “Thanks Abee. I fucking love you.”
I smiled. “I love you too.”
We stayed at the gravesite for a while talking to John. It was nice seeing Lucifer talk to him, and it was like I could feel a huge weight of guilt lift off of his shoulders. I let him take all the time he needed and when he was satisfied we walked out hand in hand. When we reached the car and I went to get into the passenger side he gripped my arm and pulled me out pinning me to the side of the car.
“Fuck babe…” he said dropping his head and placing a kiss to my neck. “Thank you.”
I rubbed his face. “You don’t have to thank me. We both needed it.”
He nodded. “Now it’s time for me to give you my gift.”
I shook my head. “Can it wait? I just want to be alone with you.” I confessed.
He chuckled. “No.” with that he gave me a chaste kiss and let me get into the car.

bsp; “Can we at least go home?” I asked.
His head cocked to the side in thought and then he looked at me. “Ok.”
The ride home was quiet and thoughtful. When we got home, Lucifer parked in front of the house. He came around to help me out and grabbed my hand. When he walked past the walkway I frowned.
“Where are we going?” I asked confused.
He didn’t respond. Instead he kept walking away from our home and I followed in confusion. When he came to a stop on the sidewalk I looked at him and noticed him looking in front of us. I followed his gaze and I then realized that the fence that was up next door was gone and in front of us stood a huge brick home with bay windows everywhere. There was a porch with a swing and the two wooden front doors looked inviting.
“Wow… so this is what they’ve been doing. I’d say it was almost worth all the noise. It’s beautiful!” I mused.
Lucifer looked at me. “You think so?” he asked.
I nodded. “It’s like a dream home.”
He smiled and he began walking again towards the house. “What are you doing?” I whispered frantically.
He didn’t respond just kept going until we were in front of the house. When he turned the handle I gripped his hand. “You can’t go in there Lucifer!”
He rolled his eyes. “Who the fuck is going to stop me, I know you want to look.”
I sighed. He pushed the door open and as I began to step in behind him he turned and scooped me up lifting me into his arms and carrying me into the house. “Aren’t you romantic?” I asked.
He scoffed and put me down. “You do realize that you’re supposed to carry me through the threshold of our home.” I informed him.
He laughed. “I know.”
“You’re impossible.” I told him as I entered further into the foyer to examine the house.
“You’re dense.”
