Summer of Awakenings Page 13

“Riley?” Seth laughed. Riley was dressed as Shrek.

“Mateo Esposito! What did I say about sneaking up on me in here?!” Riley screeched.

“Aw come on, hun - it’s fun!”

“Mateo?” Jacob smothered the laugh getting ready to spill out.

Mateo looked over at the guys and grinned.

“Hey, I owed him for the way he let me know we’re having twins.”

Seth laughed. Riley had decided to buy two cribs and blue and pink clothing and leave it in the nursery for Mateo to find on his own.

“Um, are you a walking tree?” Jaxon tilted his head, looking at Mateo.

“It’s my ghillie suit. Riley wanted me to dress up for Halloween. Here I am.”

Jacob looked at his watch. “We’d better finish; the kids will be here soon.”

“This is going to be so much fun!” Riley rubbed his hands together in glee before tossing another glare at his husband.

The haunted house was a hit. Screams ricocheted through the warehouse as the kids filed through all the rooms before relaxing in the party area with punch. There were all kinds of Halloween themed cookies, cakes and candy and ice cube eyeballs floated in the punch bowl.

Devin kept his eyes open for the man they’d set a trap for. Kids ran by him as Jacob chased them down the hall. He grinned and pushed ‘talk’ on his mic.

“Do you have a visual, asshole?” Devin snickered.

Mateo’s voice came through his mic with a low chuckle. “You’ll have to be more specific, Lyons. Lots of assholes here.”

  “The Russian asshole,” Devin drawled.

“I am here, Agent Dickwad,” Andrei growled into his mic. “I have not gone far; I am a zombie and dragging one leg behind me.” Andrei spotted their man. “He just walked into the clown room.”

Mateo sighed. “Of course he did. Got that, Seth?”

“Roger that.” Seth turned back the other way and followed another long hallway.

“Try not to trip, Panchenko. I’d be devastated if you got hurt.” Devin snuck around a low wall and took the hallway towards the clown room.

  “Fuck off, Lyons.”

“Who’s got a visual on Will?” Seth whispered.

“I do.” Andrei ducked behind the clown from ‘It.’

“Don’t let this go too far; we just need enough on video to get proof. I swear if he hurts Will—”

“We will hurt him in fun ways, Seth. Do not worry,” Andrei said cheerfully.

Will searched the warehouse for his Batman and found him walking into the clown room. He chuckled and followed him in. The strobe lighting made it hard to see and Will held onto the wall as he followed the skeleton footprints on the floor. Cackling and howling filled the narrow passageway. As he turned the corner, he was swept up into strong arms and lips descended on his. The mouth was insistent and the grip tight. Will tried to push away from crushing lips. This Batman wasn’t his. The fingers tightened in his hair and Will was pushed into the wall.

  “Hiya, baby. Miss me?”

“Gary! Let me go. I mean it.” Will struggled in Gary’s grip.

“That’s the way you greet me? Didn’t you miss me at all?”

“No, I didn’t,” Will growled. “Now let me go!”

“Feisty, aren’t we?” Gary put Will down on the ground and gripped his neck. “What did I say would happen to you if you made me mad?”

“I don’t know.” Seth stood behind Gary. “But it’s nothing compared to what I’m going to do to you,” Seth snarled.

“Who the fuck are you?” Gary backed away from Will.

“I’m Will’s boyfriend, sweet cheeks. Meet my friends.” Seth motioned behind him.

Will looked around Seth and smiled. Jacob, Jaxon, Mateo, Wayne and Riley all stood with their arms crossed. Andrei popped out from behind the clown from ‘It’ and Devin slid into the room, gun drawn.

“That tree over there?” Seth pointed to Mateo, who casually waved a limb. “Really wants to hurt you, but I called first dibs.”

“Look, man, I don’t want any trouble.” Gary backed down the hall slowly.

“Oh, it’s too late for that,” Seth turned to look at Will. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”

Will shook his head. “No. Before you do anything, I need to talk to Gary.” Seth nodded and Will walked to his ex-boyfriend. He stopped in front of him and looked up.

“I let you hurt me for so long that after a while I didn’t know any better. I know better now.” Will pulled his arm back and delivered a punch to Gary’s right cheek.

Seth’s jaw dropped and a glance at the rest of the guys showed theirs in the same position.

“Stay out of my life, Gary. It’s over.”

“You little —” Gary stopped mid-sentence as a loud growl filled the small room. He looked behind Will to see the one who had identified himself as Will’s boyfriend with a look he never wanted to see again. He looked back down at Will.

“You’re not worth it,” Gary sneered.

“Oh, but he is.” Seth pulled Will into his arms and kissed him.

Jacob tsked as Gary tried to make an exit. He waggled his finger at him. “That’s a no-no, Gary. Someone really wants to have a chat with you.”

  “Yeah? Who?”

“The name Nikolai Markov ring any bells?” Jacob almost pissed himself laughing. Even in the darkened room, he could see Gary’s face go pale. “Let’s leave these two alone, shall we?” Jacob motioned to Seth and Will, who were still kissing.

Will wrapped his arms around Seth’s neck. Their tongues tangled and Will moaned.

“Now that’s my Batman,” Will breathed across Seth’s lips.

Seth caressed Will’s face. “Are you okay? As soon as I heard you, I tried to get here as fast I could.”

“I’m fine,” Will smiled. “So, it worked.”

“Yes, but I’m telling you right now I didn’t like this plan to begin with.”

“I know, and you made your opinion known. We had to do it this way. We all knew what he would do as soon as he saw me buy the ‘Robin’ costume. So, Nikolai is taking Gary to James?”

“Yep. Won’t that be fun?” Seth chuckled.

“I was afraid of what you’d do.” Will cupped Seth’s face in his hands.

“As much as I want to rip that man apart, I’d kill him before I could stop myself. I don’t want you to be afraid of me, Will.”

“I couldn’t be, Seth. I love you,” Will whispered.

“You love me?” Seth’s eyes widened.

“That super hearing stuff is true, huh?” Will chuckled nervously.

Seth picked Will up and held him. “I love you, too, Will Cooper.”

Will relaxed in Seth’s arms and for once knew nothing would ever hurt him again.

Kory stood with Jacob and watched all the kids running around in the dark, giggling and screaming. The haunted house was filled to capacity and more kids were showing up. Kory held Jacob’s hand, their fingers threaded together. After everything he’d been through with his parents and finding out his brother was a werewolf, he finally had a stable life. The man who stood next to him had captured his attention from the first night he’d laid eyes on in him at Cuffs and Stuff. Now he couldn’t imagine life without him.

Jacob’s fingers tightened around his and Kory looked up to see Jacob smiling at him. Their lips met in a soft kiss and Kory tunneled his fingers through Jacob’s hair as the kiss grew deeper with need. They broke from the kiss, eyes locked. Jacob had dressed up as Captain America, and the costume was tight. Like, really tight.

“I want to be alone with you,” Kory licked his lips.

“Oh, I want that too,” Jacob chuckled.

  “Hello boys!”

Kory jumped at the voice in his ear. He turned to see Aidan grinning.

“Why do you do that?” Kory sighed in exasperation.

“Because I can?” Aidan smiled wide. “It’s Halloween! I love s
caring people.”

“Aidan, not that I don’t love seeing you, but what’s up?” Jacob asked.

“Conner and I got a mental ‘hello’ from an unknown source. We think it’s either the fates or the gods. Bottom line? Your mates have been allowed the power of telepathy to keep them safe. Seems our creators have a vested interest in keeping the human mates alive. Keeps the army happy I guess.” Aidan shrugged his shoulders.” Besides, they’d already allowed it once before with Sam and Dakota.”

“Well, that was nice of them,” Kory chuckled.

“Yes it was,” Aiden nodded. “With the created line coming back full force, I suppose they felt the need to take care of the humans in Wayne’s pack.”

Jacob raised a brow. “What does that mean?” Jacob narrowed his eyes at Aidan. “You know something!” Jacob growled in frustration as Aidan disappeared. “I hate it when he does that.”

Jaxon sat against a hay bale watching the kids run around. It was cute; they were having a wonderful time. His eyes swept the room and then stopped on one kid. Elijah. He was dressed as a gladiator. The kid had been dressed at the camp. He was seriously lacking clothing now. Elijah seemed to feel eyes on him because in the next moment his own had locked on Jaxon’s. A grin formed on Elijah’s face.

“Aw shit,” Jaxon whispered. Elijah crossed the room slowly and Jaxon turned his eyes away. He’s sixteen, sixteen, sixteen…

  “Hi, Jaxon,” Elijah smiled.

  “Elijah.” Jaxon nodded to him.

Elijah moved closer to Jaxon. The man was so beautiful. His Thor outfit left little to the imagination and he was covered in tattoos. It was hot.

“So, um. Are you having fun?” Elijah asked.

“I am, actually. I’ve always loved Halloween.”

“Me too, I like it better than Christmas,” Elijah enthused.

  “Yeah? How come?”

“Because I can be whoever I want for one night.” Elijah turned to face Jaxon. “It makes me feel free to be who I am.”

  “You’re a gladiator?” Jaxon snickered.

  “Look who’s talking, Thor.”

“Point taken,” Jaxon grinned. He stiffened when Elijah’s hand landed on his thigh. “Look, Elijah—”

“Don’t say it.” Elijah looked into Jaxon’s eyes. “I’ll be eighteen in two years.”

“Yeah, and I’ll be twenty five.” Jaxon stood up and looked down at Elijah. “It was good to see you.”

Elijah’s shoulders slumped as Jaxon walked away. A hand rubbed his shoulder and he looked up to see Skylar smiling at him.

  “He’s older, Elijah.”

“I don’t care. When I get old enough, I’m going after him.”

“Ryder’s waiting on us. It’s midnight and we have school tomorrow.”

Elijah took one last look at Jaxon Salvatore. Their eyes met and Elijah mouthed. “Two years.” He smiled when Jaxon’s eyes went wide. Yeah, he’d get him.

The second Seth closed the bedroom door, Will jumped him. They landed on the bed with a loud grunt and Will stripped Seth out of his costume. The party had ended an hour ago, but as far as Will was concerned, it was just starting in their bedroom. He already knew what it was like to have Seth make love to him; now Seth was going to feel him. They rolled around on the bed, gripping skin, licking sensitive areas. Will straddled Seth’s face as he sucked down a hard and ready Seth. His ass cheeks were spread and Will gasped as Seth flicked his hole. His legs shook and he forgot what he was doing once Seth got going on his ass. Will took a deep breath and resumed sucking and licking, his hands rolling Seth’s balls lightly. A loud moan filled the room and Will got what he wanted when Seth shot down his throat. Will moved backwards until he was staring down into Seth’s eyes. They kissed upside down as Will ran his fingernails softly up Seth’s chest.

“Holy shit,” Seth breathed, as Will’s tongue traced a path around his lips. His fingers sliding up and down Seth’s chest in lazy strokes. “You sure do know how to turn a guy on.”

Will grinned, coaxing Seth onto his hands and knees. “I’m just starting.”

Seth’s claws extended into the mattress. Will was fucking him into the bed. Seth put his hand out, stilling the banging headboard. Will’s fingers gripped his hip as the other hand jacked him off in time to his thrusts. Seth’s eyes rolled back as Will nailed his prostate again and again. Lord, he’d never been fucked so hard - or so thoroughly. Seth came with an animalistic howl, jets of cum splattering the sheets below. Will’s fingers tightened around his cock and sank into his hip as Will succumbed to the pleasure as well. Seth’s arms shook trying to hold himself up; he gently lowered himself to the mattress, Will still buried inside his ass.

“Oh. My. God.” Will breathed on Seth’s moist skin.

Seth chuckled. “Wow, Will. You are just…fuck.”

Will slid out slowly and spread out on the bed. Strong arms pulled him over and he was snuggled into Seth’s broad chest. They kissed slowly, taking precious time to investigate each other. Will pressed closer to Seth’s heat.

  “Seth?”

  “Mmm?”

“Will you make me into a werewolf?”

Seth opened his eyes, searching Will’s. “You don’t have to be one, Will. I’ll love you no matter what.”

“I know that, but someday, I’d like to be changed.”

  “Whenever you want.”

Will closed his eyes and thought about what Riley had said at camp. “It does get better.”

  *Epilogue*

Kory ran through the woods laughing like a little kid. They were playing hide and seek, although it was a bit unfair since Jacob was in wolf form. Will was running across from him, cheeks red from the cold, but still laughing. They had been given a ten minute head start. Sebastian ran right between them in wolf form. He’d agreed to keep them in the loop on where their mates were. Since Halloween, Kory had spent every waking second with Jacob when he could. He went to school, Jacob went to work. They made love — and made plans. Kory wanted to be changed when he turned twenty one. When he’d told Kurt his plans he expected an argument, but Kurt had given his blessing. He still hadn’t heard a peep from his parents and now it seemed insignificant. He had his family.

They’d come to the forest to play. Most of the pack in Seattle made a habit of coming out to run on weekends and Kory always found it fascinating to see them running around in wolf form. Kory chuckled. He and Will were pretty much prey right now. Running in the forest from a pack of werewolves? Any rational person would be screaming, but Kory knew Jacob would die for him. Kory came to a sliding stop when Jacob appeared right in front of him.

“No fair!” Kory pointed at Jacob. Kory grinned as Jacob attempted to smile at him in wolf form. “I’ve told you not to do that. It creeps me out.” Kory laughed when Jacob raised a brow. Kory laughed as Seth jumped on Will, pinning him to the forest floor.

“Seth!” Will chuckled as Seth huffed, sending white steam from his nostrils.

Kory looked around at all the werewolves coming into the clearing. He was getting better at recognizing them. Scott Delange was easy, black fur, black eyes. Tristan Miles was as well. One, he was always with Scott, and two? Well, he just had that assholish look. Kory chuckled when Tristan snorted at him. Kurt was his brother, so that was easy, too. Wesley had the mahogany coat and amber eyes and Tucker’s eyes gave him away. Austin’s black coat and blue eyes also made him easy to pick out.

Kory was nudged and he turned to find Sebastian looking at him. “You suck at surveillance, you know that right?”

“Yeah! What happened to the heads up, Sebastian?” Will put his hands on his hips.

“I distracted him,” Nick said, flipping his tail in Sebastian’s face.

“Traitor!” Kory pointed at Nick with a laugh.

Seth rubbed up against Will and sniffed his crotch.

“Whoa, hey bud,” Will shook his finger at Seth. “Not in wolf form.”

  Kory hear
d the collective laugh from the rest of the werewolves in his mind. He was still getting used to hearing the pack’s thoughts. It was weird to say the least. Wayne confirmed what Aiden had said. The fates and or gods felt the humans of the pack needed at least one way to contact their mates in the event of trouble. Kory wondered what other surprises lay in store for all of them.

Whatever it was, he was ready.

  ~The End~

Sneak Peek: Into the Lyons Den

  ~Chapter One~

Somewhere in the mountains of Asia….

“You’re supposed to being keeping some of them alive, sweetie.”

  Vince chuckled into his headset.

“I am? Did you hear that, Dev? We aren’t supposed to be killing them all.”

“Where’s the fun in that?” Devin replied in not-so-mock horror.

Keegan sighed. He and Jacob were on point in the mountains, while Mateo, Josh, Sam and Troy took positions around the complex below - five stories worth of structure that Vince and Devin were systematically wiping clean of guards.

Keegan had to admit that it was sexy as all hell watching his husband, Vince, rappelling inverted while slashing throats when he met resistance. Who’d have thought that would be a turn on?

Both Vince and Devin had cameras sending footage back not only to him, but to their boss, James Jacobs, as well. They’d been sent to take out a human trafficking ring and, unfortunately for the bad guys, the Skull Blasters were very good at their job. Keegan eyed the thermal imager bouncing back positions of said bad guys.

“Team two, you’ve got four coming your way,” Keegan instructed.

“Just another walk in the park,” Seth whispered into his mic.

  “Jacob—” Keegan started.

“I got it,” Jacob said, squeezing the trigger on his sniper rifle.

The man entering the complex fell and seconds later Locke Renfro was pulling his body inside. Keegan watched the monitor; Vince and Devin were on either side of the room that housed the kidnapped women.
