Under a cloud of gloom, the three of them thanked Willie and his family for everything. Even though they always had intended to move on, it felt as though it was too soon, and they weren't ready to say goodbye yet. Luis found it difficult to tear himself away from Margaret, and even a friendly hug from Grace wasn't enough to soothe the ache in his soul. Although they had plenty of supplies, and had in some ways grown closer together for the experience on the farm, Mack couldn't help but feel as though he had let them down. At least the farm was still standing, though, and everyone was still alive. The group took one last look at the home they were leaving and embarked on their journey in silence, each of them reflecting on the things they had learned about themselves during their stay on the farm.
