Not offended in the slightest Denna made an impulsive movement and next she was sitting on top of me, with one quick movement I was deep inside her. “I have plans for you,” she said with a mischievous grin.

There was nothing like the feeling of planting myself deep inside her. The slight resistance at first, followed by the warm wet welcome of Denna’s fucking lovely pussy; but there was no stopping her this afternoon. Clearly, she had missed me as much as I had missed her. She wrapped her legs around me, and clamped her hands down on my shoulders as she rode me hard and fast, her beautiful breasts bouncing in my face just the way I loved.

Denna moved like a wild woman, kissing me passionately one minute and then throwing her head back as she rode me hard, grinding against my cock. I steadied her hips and held her firmly as she had her wicked way with me. As she thrust toward me, I lifted and met her thrust for thrust.

“Oh Seth, I can't hold on anymore.” She groaned, throwing her head back in complete abandon.

“Denna!” I gasped and before either of us could say any more, we both burst with our climax in unison. Denna cried out incoherently and we held onto each other as if our lives depended on it. Our lovemaking was always so intense and gratifying and I hoped that would never change.

We collapsed back into the shallow surf, lying together in our post coital bliss. I could feel our ragged breaths returning to normal, but I could hear the soft gentle whisper as if it were the loudest shout. “I love you,” she’d said. It wasn’t the first time she’d said it, but it amazed me every time I heard it.

“I love you too,” I replied, wrapping myself around her body. I wanted to protect this woman with my life and I wanted to make her dreams come true. We'd accomplished so much in our short relationship, and it was obvious our feelings were growing and would probably never stop. I kissed her throat, and just as I lifted my head, my eye caught something moving in the tree line just beyond the sand. I thought for one split second that I saw someone standing among the trees. Impulsively I shot up, grabbed my pants and headed towards woods. I had an idea of who it might be and I hoped like hell I was wrong.

“Seth? What is it?” Denna also scrambled for some clothing but I was way ahead of her.

I said nothing, as I didn't want my voice to be heard, especially if there was someone nearby. As I drew close to the woods, I listened carefully. I heard the sound of clumsy feet crashing through the woods. It sounded like a huge deer or boar clambering through the dense foliage, but I knew better. I darted through the woods, careful not to make a sound as I pursued our voyeur. The crashing sounds faded and I lost the trail. I returned to Denna, who was following silently behind me.

“I thought I saw someone in the woods,” I whispered, feeling a sudden surge of dread to tell her of my suspicions.

Denna frowned. “Are you sure? Could it have been your eyes playing tricks on you?”

“No,” I argued, “I’m fairly certain I saw someone and when I ran after them, I heard someone running through the foliage.

Denna shuddered. “Could it have been the owners, afraid to approach us…or embarrassed by what they saw?

It seemed like a plausible explanation, and I hopped like hell she was right. The last thing we needed was more drama. It was time we seriously started trying to get home. We had our future to plan and I had my family to get back to, but I was completely terrified that I’d seen Jack sneering at us as we made love on the beach and I didn’t know how it could even be possible that he could be here. What I did know, was that I could not tell Denna about my suspicions that we were not so alone anymore.

CHAPTER SEVEN – THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT!

We were both completely exhausted as we climbed into bed that night. We’d spent the evening tracking whoever had been watching us. I studied the trail and followed as far as I could until the trail disappeared near the lake in the woods. I hid most of my observations from Denna because I didn’t want to worry her, but when I found a fresh cigarette butt in the brush beside the lake I knew I hadn’t imagined seeing someone watching us. We didn’t talk much about our suspicions and I knew Denna was frightened by the idea that we were not alone. She would panic if I told her I thought it might be Jack and I had no intention of giving her any reason to worry.

Physically and mentally, we were spent, however, I knew that due to our 'unexpected visitor' I wouldn't be able to get a full nights rest. I would have to try to sleep lightly so that if he were to come back, I would be ready. I went around the cabin, securing every lock at every window, pulling the shutters closed tight. I even put a chair in front of the door so if someone did try to break in, then they would struggle to gain access and make a lot of noise doing it. I was confident that we were fairly secure inside our little cabin in the woods, but if Jack were suddenly somehow here on this island, he would need supplies and he would be furious that we had so much.

As exhausted as we were, neither Denna nor I had the strength or inclination for lovemaking that night. We both seemed much more content to be lying together, close in the circle of each other’s arms. For me it didn't take long to drift off to sleep, the last thing I remember was listening to Denna's heart beating against my chest.

I stirred slightly in the middle of the night, and in my dreamy reverie I thought I could still hear her heart beating, it wasn't until I came to my senses a little more that I realized that the rhythmic sound was actually footsteps on the porch. Whether or not it was Jack was beside the point, someone was here with us and my heart clenched in a sudden panic that this would not end well.

As soon as I was aware what was going on, my whole body flinched causing Denna to wake. She was alert and wide-eyed as she realized what she heard. I put my finger to my mouth to indicate she must stay quiet and as we listened, we both heard the heavy footsteps. Whoever it was was looking through our toolbox and I cringed at the thought he might steal some of our more useful things we needed to survive. Luckily, I had locked the axe in the tool shed to keep it dry and free of rust.

I didn’t want to risk making a noise and letting whoever this was know that we knew they were here snooping around. We couldn't discuss anything at the moment as we didn't want to be heard, but we both sat with bated breath as the prowler continued to snoop around the porch.

Listening to the steps it was almost as if he were pacing rather than exploring, he was coming nowhere near the door and there seemed no attempt to break in or try opening the windows. The situation seemed to be getting stranger and stranger and I couldn’t take it anymore, I had to know what was going on. I carefully eased out of bed and motioned for Denna to stay where she was. I could see the panic on her face, and I was afraid tonight would send her back to the Denna I first met and I didn’t want that for her. I crept toward the wall of the cabin and tried to peep through the slats of the window shutters and I couldn't see a thing but I did get a strong, overbearing smell of tobacco, neither Denna nor I were smokers hence why we could smell it so strongly.

I began miming to Denna that I could smell smoke which when she realized what I meant she agreed she could smell it too. The whole episode was crazy and had it been daytime, I would have gone straight out on to the porch and see for myself who this was, but in the dead of the night I wasn't prepared to put either me or Denna in danger. This stranger could be anyone. I knew I had my suspicions that it was Jack, but it could be someone else who had survived the storm or it could be a killer for all I knew, and he could be armed with a deadly weapon to defend himself or claim his next victim. For the moment, we were safe inside our home and with any luck, he would soon realize that there was no sense in trying to break in and scare us.

I was confused and I was nervous and most of all I was tired. If he were to leave then it would, in my opinion be safe to relax and go back to sleep, the fact that he wasn't trying to get inside was a good enough reason for me not to panic too much at this point. I listened carefully as he left the porch and made a perimeter check around the hou
se. I was fairly certain he tried to get inside the smoke house and the root cellar, but we kept everything locked up tight with the keys we had in the house.

Suddenly there was silence. We held our breath and waited, but we didn’t hear any more footsteps that night. Whoever had joined us on our island had disappeared without a trace into the woods. The same thing happened the next night and the next and for nearly a week, we were on edge about our late night stalker.

It was in the very early hours of the morning the following week when I finally drifted off to sleep. I hadn’t slept much at all lately and I was exhausted. A couple of hours later my eyes peeled open. It was early and I had not rested well, but I was alone, Denna had already left the cabin and I panicked. I jumped out of bed and went to find her.

She was standing in the yard sipping her coffee, perusing the fresh tracks in the dirt. She was so damned beautiful and she was wearing one of my button down shirts and nothing else. As soon as she heard me on the porch she turned and smiled in my direction, raking her eyes across my body, I was still naked despite the morning chill.

“You want one?” she asked, tilting her cup at me.

“Hmm yes please,” I replied, “but not before I've had one of these ...”

I grabbed her around the waist nearly causing her to drop the cup, I planted a big kiss on her lips and she murmured contentedly as she kissed me back.

“Good Morning,” she smiled as she reached to wrap her free arm around me and I growled in appreciation to see she hadn’t bothered with the buttons.

“Back to bed missy,” I ordered playfully, “I didn’t have you last night and I mean to make up for lost time this morning.”

She giggled as she ran back in the house and I followed. It caught my eye as I crossed the porch; the single cigarette butt lying on the floor by the woodpile. I stopped to sweep it into the brush with the others I’d found over the last week, and I looked up to scan the tree line. Whoever was stalking us wasn’t here now and I wasn’t going to let this bring fear into our home. Caution yes, I thought as I slid the bolt across the door, locking us in securely.

I turned back toward the bed where Denna waited for me. I had better things to occupy my time right now than some mysterious stalker in the woods. I watched as she slid the shirt from her shoulders, letting it puddle at her feet, and I paused to admire her form. She’d changed in the months since we’d been here. She was healthy and robust but her curves had softened and her full breasts were fuller, and heavier. I grazed my eyes down her body, devouring her profile and noticed the gentle swell of her stomach as it finally clicked in my mind. We’d been here for over three months now. Her birth control had long since stopped being effective. Denna was pregnant. Fuck.

I stalked toward her now and I’m sure the look on my face worried her, but I was so afraid for her and our child. I had to get them out of here. Too many bad things could happen this far removed from proper medical care. She needed vitamins and— all sorts of things I couldn’t even fathom. I stepped behind her and swept my arms protectively around her, letting my hand splay across her stomach in a gentle caress. I know she saw the question in my eyes as well as the fear.

She turned in my arms and searched my face for a clue as to how I was feeling about this revelation. I’m sure she worried that I might be mad, but I was completely flabbergasted by the idea that we were going to be parents. I was thrilled, but terrified. She smiled tentatively as she stroked my face, trying to smooth my frown away. Without a word, I crushed her to me, nestling my face against the smooth column of her neck, breathing in her scent.

  “Say something Seth,” she whispered.

“I love you baby…both of you,” I added softly, finding it difficult to speak as I held her. She was the center of my whole world and I was afraid of what this could do to her if we didn’t get home soon.

“You’re happy about this?” She asked, her hand sweeping across her abdomen.

“Deliriously so…but terrified at the same time.”

“That about sums it up for me too.” She smiled as she reached to kiss me.

We fell into our bed together and I was so afraid of hurting her and the baby that I couldn’t bring myself to enter her. I knew it was ridiculous. Men had been making love to their pregnant wives since the dawn of time. But this was my wife, or she would be as soon as I could get her in front of a minister, and this was our child and I didn’t want to risk anything.

“Fuck me dammit!” She growled. “I’m pregnant, not made of glass!” I threw my head back and laughed at her outrage.

“Yes ma’am.” I chuckled as slid into her, careful not to put my weight on her. She clawed at my back as I moved carefully inside her and she growled in frustration at my slow pace.

Finally, I rolled onto my back and let her have her way. I gripped her hips as she rode me with the wild abandon I’d come to expect from her. I met her thrust for thrust and as my release built quickly, I reached to stroke her clit because I knew she wasn’t quite there yet. I held back, stroking her as I sat up to shower her breasts with attention, sucking a hard nipple into my mouth, wondering for the first time what her breast milk would taste like. She came suddenly, hard and with a guttural cry as I spurt my release into her. How her pregnancy had caught me by surprise showed me just how ignorant I was. I hadn’t had to think about things like birth control in so long it hadn’t occurred to me to take any other precautions. I hadn’t even noticed she’d never had her period in the three months we’d been here.

I chuckled softly as Denna collapsed onto my chest in a sweaty heap and I held her close. “What’s so funny?” she muttered softly.

“I’m just laughing at my own ignorance,” I explained. “I’m very happy about this little accident,” I said carefully as I rolled her onto her back so I could touch her belly where our child grew. “But I am sorry I didn’t think to take other precautions. Why didn’t you say something?”

“I didn’t think about it either.” She shrugged, laying her hand across mine on her belly. “I haven’t thought about birth control in so long, it was just something my doctor provided without question and I haven’t bled in years now. It didn’t occur to me that the shot had run out. Once I realized, it was kinda too late.” She smiled. “But I’m not sorry. It’s a bit sooner than I would have liked, but you will be an amazing father,” she said with her heart in her eyes.

“I haven’t the first clue of how to change a diaper or what to feed her,” I said absently.

“Me either, but what makes you think it’s a girl?”

“I don’t know.” I shrugged. “But I’ve had Will all these years, I guess I’d like to know what it’s like to have a little girl with long brown hair and big brown eyes like her beautiful mother.”

I frowned playfully at her in mock anger. “When exactly were you planning on telling me?” I growled as she giggled.

“I was going to wait to see how long it would take you to realize I was getting fat.”

“Fat?” I narrowed my eyes at her. “You are not fat, baby. You are perfect, but I did notice your body is changing. For instance, these are getting bigger.” I smiled lasciviously at her heavy breasts.

“You noticed much sooner than I thought you would,” she said gently. “I’ve only known for a little over two weeks. I think you might know my body better than I do.” She laughed, our fingers entwined as we lay on our bed talking the afternoon away.

“We need to get out of here Denna,” I said softly. “I would love to stay in our happy bubble for the rest of our lives, but with our stalker in the woods and our little baby girl on the way, we need to get home and it could be another two or three months before our benefactors show up for the fishing season, if at all. You need medical attention and I don’t think I am man enough to deliver our child on my own without anyone to keep me from going to pieces.” I grinned.

“I was thinking we should start some kind of signal fire to see if we can get a plane to pass over us so we can
shoot the flare.” She said softly.

“We’ll have to hike up to the highest point on the island,” I agreed. “I’m not leaving you here alone so we’ll get started tomorrow morning. We’ll pack some supplies tonight and head up to the caves at first light.”

It would take us most of the day to reach the high point, but luckily it wasn’t too hard of a climb. We left a lot unsaid in our decision. We would be abandoning our safe haven to the stalker in the woods who would likely take up residence here and we would be without supplies, but I was confident we could take care of ourselves, living off the land. We could still fish in the freshwater streams and lakes that dotted the island and we would take as much food as we could carry. Denna was a wiz at trapping rabbits and birds so I knew we wouldn’t starve or freeze. The caves would be warm, but we wouldn’t be nearly as comfortable and it would be hard for her in her current condition, despite the fact that I knew she was tough as nails.

After a late lunch, I ventured outside to see if there was anything different or out of place that I hadn’t noticed this morning. I indicated to Denna that I was going to investigate and she insisted on coming with me. We both opened the door, the luminous beams of sunlight forcing their way through the opening and blinding us for a second. It had shaped up to be a glorious day, but we’d spent most of it in bed.
