Mina's Vampire Mate

  He laughed, “Soon I will just let me take you out on a date soon.”

  She blushed, “Sorry I forgot we are connected in every way and that you can read my mind.”

  He nodded, “Yes and I want to show you as well. Just give me time.”

  She smiled at him, “I will and I can’t wait to show you everything, too.”

  And she kissed him. She didn’t want to rush either. She had just gotten out of a bad spot. And once it was taken care of then she couldn’t wait to start something amazing.

  He pulled into the garage of the mansion. It was filled with members' cars and there was even a spot just for him. He turned off the car, and unhooked his seat belt and Mina did the same. Mina had her purse with her and her phone. She even had some spell stuff just in case. She could do combat spells easily with her staff. But she didn’t need to worry since it was a safe zone. She loved both sides of her. Her vampire abilities even made her stronger, faster, it gave her night vision and fast healing. And she would live longer than normal. The place was like home to her. They went inside. It was nice. It was all black as well. And had a huge living room, huge kitchen and dining room.

  Her dad had a huge main room where members gathered and plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. There was a blood supply room and a ritual room which she loved the best. There was even a library. She lived there at one point and made a home there. She knew her bedroom was still there in case she needed it. She had a nice sized bed with a big screen TV and a video game system. She had her book of Vampire Spells there and wondered what she could do now that she was stronger. She had a desk, chair and deskto,p too. She would no longer be able to stay in her place either. She might have to move in with Neo or here - a safe place. The mansion is highly secure since it needed a security card to get in and it had to match the person. She knew the way like he did so they navigated through the halls to her dad's main room. And they stop at a door marked Main Area.

  They entered a huge room with vampires throughout the place on black leather couches. The room was made of stone and had a black ceiling and there were silver candelabras on the walls. They reminded her of a spooky ride at an amusement park, the one with the haunted house. She loved it. Vampires were drinking from glasses with blood and luckily she was safe since they knew her. She might join them one day. Her dad was sitting on a throne and he looked up at her.

  He smiled, “It’s nice to see you here and safe. Neo told me what happened so we will stop Derek from trying to hurt you again. I can’t believe my guys can’t find him yet. And you look better. I know the break up wasn’t the best, in fact he was the worst and he kept you from me because he hated vampires. The stupid witch will get his soon enough. And you look better. You have your abilities back which is good. And you are marked as Neo’s too and he is marked too?” His eye brows rose. “I have never seen that before. It will definitely make people think twice since you belong to him. I am okay with it since I knew he would be yours strangely the way I knew your mom was mine. We are trying to find the people who leaked your location. Someone knew where you were and told him.”

  She sighed, “Yes, unfortunately someone did. I am safe here and with Neo so no danger anymore. I am not alone or by myself either.”

  Dad nodded, “True, and we are doing all we can on our end. There is more going on since the witches are still figuring out a truce with us. They are trying to get used to working with us, too. There is a big threat out there that has everyone worried.”

  He sighed.

  “Well, you have me. And I am not going to let anything happen to me and I will kill my ex if necessary. And there is Neo, too.” She said.

  Dad agreed. "True and maybe they will see soon how well everyone works together especially if we have the same enemy. They might need our help."

  Neo nodded, "Maybe and maybe they will see how well we get along and form and alliance with them to help them in battle. There might be a war coming since there is a good and bad side. Your daughter isn't the only one; there are others. And they might not know about it until it is too late. Her ex was a tracker and she was given a suppressor of which I broke. Who knows how many more of these Vampire Witches are out there." He said.

  Minas was horrified. She didn't know her ex was a tracker so it was news to her. It would explain the cheating since he was trying to recruit more ones like her. He had to be stopped.

  "Those trackers are doing more harm than good and we can also stop them especially since there are others out there," she said.

  "There are and I know the device we can use to track down others. It can even track down trackers so we can stop them," her dad said.

  She was excited and for the first time she was happy to have a purpose other than retail, too. She wasn't going back after this. And now she is given something besides scanning items all day and showing idiots how to use their own cards.

  "How can we get the device?" Neo asked.

  "On Vampire Witch compound grounds. Neo, you know where this is so you can get it and you can start the search to find more. We need a team after all."

  She nodded, "Will do. And we can keep in touch with texting."

  He smiled, "Yes and let me know every step of the way."

  Neo smiled, "We will and I will keep your daughter safe; she will never leave my sight."

  Mina’s heart beat fast at that and she felt the same way, too. She would never leave his side ever.

  Never he said in her head. They were connected in every way.

  And the sexual side soon...like tonight?

  Yes! She said. She needed him to release her tension since she hungered for his touch and only his.

  “Good to hear keep me in the loop.” Her dad said. And they left at that. They went back to his car and on the way there it was silent.

  “We need to move you in asap and get all your stuff to my place. I will help you do that. There is no point in staying there as long as he is out there,” Neo said.

  “I agree since I want to get all my stuff. I hope you don’t mind since I know this is pretty fast,” she said.

  “Yes. I am okay with it and I know it is fast, but it’s under special circumstances so it is necessary for keeping you safe. I have a lot of space since I have a big house built for it. We can make a trip for it. We can go to the compound tomorrow,” he said.

  She was excited to go back and pack up everything. She would be safe with him and have a home finally. She can actually say she was happy and she has a plan of action to help people like her. The first thing they did was unspell the front door. Luckily it wasn’t broken. But something was left there that made her heart stop and blood freeze cold. Fear was like an icy aroma to her. It was in HIS handwriting too:

  Mina,

  This is the last you will hear from me. I love you and your family very much and you have been more than a lover to me - a best friend. Now I know we didn’t end on good terms. This has been something minor taken to the extreme. I am willing to take you back even though you were horrible to me. I just want to talk to you. I didn’t mean to act like I was going to kill you. And you have seemed to heal from it. Derek

  Her hands shook as she read the note. It was him trying to get her all along.

  Neo took the note from her. Read it. He sighed, “Well, at least we have confirmation it was him. And he probably thinks you are still weakened from him. So there is an element of surprise when he realizes how strong you are and you can take him when the time comes he won’t know what hit him.”

  After thinking about it and calming down some she said, “I won’t let him bother me. He has done too much for me to let him get away with it. And that is why I am happy to have you. I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for you being there for me. It was fate. I dreamed about you before I even met you.”

  Neo smiled at her. “Glad I could help and be there since you are mine after all and I will always be by your side. I will never leave you ever. You can’t get rid of me even if you tried. You are
stuck with me since we are bound, and I protect your heart and body.”

  She smiled, “Good and it also means I have someone there for me for the rest of my life.”

  “Exactly, let's pack up and move you out so you can get away from it all. He doesn’t know where I live so we have an advantage over him,” Neo said.

  They spent a lot of the day packing up Mina’s apartment including her shot glasses, and nice glasses, dishes, spell stuff and her high level ritual items. She had a lot of rare artifacts she collected since she loved exploring ruins. She used to play in them as a kid and even practiced her magic of raising the dead. Her spell books, potions and alcohol all went with her. And as big as Neo’s place was, it could definitely hold her stuff. It definitely took most of the day, but she still didn’t have too much since she used it as a getaway more than something permanent. They even used Neo’s truck for the furniture. After they were done they took all her stuff to his place. They dropped off the key with the apartment complex owner and Mina was happy she was one step closer to making something more permanent with Neo.

  Still in the back of her mind she was cautious since Derek was out there somewhere. She knew he would be back. She was more prepared for the next time he made an appearance.

  After they arrived at Neo’s place they focused on taking all her stuff to the proper rooms. And after the truck was unloaded it was in its rightful spot.

  Everything she owned was now here and she was happy to start something good for once.

  All she ever did was work retail after the break up and come home. No spells and nothing fun since she was hiding from him. She was chained to a job she hated to get away from her ex and get some space since she was afraid.

  Derek wrecked her and destroyed her. He made her feel awful and as worthless as the customers that walked through the door. He wasn’t as sexy as Neo either. She couldn’t believe someone as sexy as Neo was hers in the first place and couldn’t believe her luck. He was so sexy and even though she was tired as hell and everything ached from moving she wanted to cuddle with him and be by his side forever.

  She sat down on one of the comfy, black leather couches in his living room. It was now a place to be with him and their world now.

  Neo sat in the chair across from her and drank a glass of blood. Now that she was a vampire even more she can fully explore everything more. This guy in front of her made her heart beat faster and faster with the way he was looking at her. He sipped away at his drink. They sat in silence a few minutes and then he said, “Did you want to go with me to Vlads Blood bar? It’s a good place to go in and try different blood types and they even have blood with alcohol in it, too. I have been there a lot especially after I went through the awful break up. And this is the first time I can be with you on a date. It’s a good way to show you how awesome it is to be a vampire and I can show you things he never could.”

  “I would love that especially with the stuff I went through,” she said.

  She was curious over it now that she had access to her full gifts. She was excited to go to her first vampire bar and she did have a nice party outfit. Some of them were even in the house at her dad's place. Vampires celebrate a lot and they even throw a lot of parties especially for other vampire clans. She loved to dress up and go to them and meet sexy vampire guys, too … until He showed up and made her feel bad for being a half vampire. And accusing her of wanting to go there to cheat on him and pick up guys when she had female vampire friends that she saw there too. And he was horrible to her.

  He smiled, “Good, and you look like you need some form of release. I know life has been stressful for you especially after getting out of a rough relationship. It must not have been easy either to leave either and at least you are smart enough to walk away since you deserve better. It was especially shitty of him to make you feel powerless and worthless. He didn’t deserve someone as special as you.”

  She nodded, “It was the worst and he even went to my job after it ended and harassed me. He kept calling my coworkers and said he needed to speak to me. It was an emergency. I told the managers and at least they were understanding. He kept calling so much it wasn’t funny. He said it was bullshit. I dumped him over it yet he didn’t let me have guy friends and was controlling.” She said. She could feel the tears coming since she remembered how horrible it was.

  Neo put down his glass on a coaster, and sat next to her. He took her in his arms and hugged her, “You will never have to go through that again,” he said.

  He held her tighter in his arms and that made her even happier being with him. He is just the person she is looking for. She loved being in his arms and she even was happy to put her stuff with his. Her ex didn’t know where she was and she had a different number so he couldn’t hurt her again. Being a horrible witch he wouldn’t be caught in vampire places. That is why she avoided witch areas for now. She knew his usual haunts, too. She avoided them like the plague. And she needed to be aware now since he was practically stalking her.

  He will never hurt you and I will be here with you at all times, Neo said in her head.

  “He even tried to get to me through my friends. He said to hurry up and decide if I want to be with him before he moves on. He called me a piece of shit and that I wouldn’t amount to anything and land on the streets. He even went through my phone since it was the only way I could prove to him I wasn’t cheating. He even had the balls to ask one of my friends if they would date him. She said no. He was horrible to me. I want to forget it and move on, but I can’t until he pays for what he did,” she said.

  Neo listened. He was definitely letting her take him out. It’s justified. He wanted to take her out on a date and show her a good time. He needed her to see how much better it is and how it could be to be his plus, he wanted to take away the pain she felt. She needed something to take her mind off things and he can’t follow her.

  “Did you want to get ready so I can take you out on a date?” he asked her.

  She smiled, “Yes, that would be good.”

  She got up and got ready. And she didn’t want to get up out of his arms but she was hungry. She needed something in her system. She got ready and dressed in a nice black top with chains on the sleeves. And she wore nice jeans, too and her nice flats. She even wore make up as a pick me up since she was feeling crappy and emotional. She wanted to look sexy. She wanted to have some fun with her mate now that she finally had him. She finally had someone who will treat her right she hoped. She didn’t want to give up on relationships because of one asshole.

  And as soon as she was done she left the bathroom and went into the living room to see Neo so they could leave.

  The moment Neo saw her his mouth dropped open, “Wow, you are sexy in that outfit. And to think you are all mine? It makes me the happiest guy in the world.”

  She smiled, “Thanks, and you make me the happiest girl and I finally have someone who will treat me right.”

  “You have to stay close to me definitely. I don’t want anyone to try to steal you away from me,” he said.

  “You are the only one I want and mine. You never have to worry since no one will ever take me away from you,” she said.

  He looked sexy as well. He was in leather pants and a nice silk shirt. He even wore nice dress shoes. It would be a good night to explore with him, kick back and relax without having to look over her shoulder - or at least she hoped. She was excited, too since it has been a while since she went on a date.

  He smiled, “Good, so let’s go and have fun while we can. It’s needed after what you have been through. Shall we?”

  “Yes, let’s go.” And she even took his hand as they walked out through the door.

  Chapter 4

  Neo opened the door for Mina and she went inside the car. He took his nice car since it was a nice, fun place. He was excited since it had been a while since he took someone out on a date. The last time he took a girl somewhere it was his maker. He hoped no one saw him there and asked. He didn’t
want a fight either since he knew how vengeful his ex is. But if it came to it he could still take her if she tried. Things ended badly since he caught her going to another behind his back. He didn’t condone cheating. He never needed to worry about Mina given what she has been through.

  “Sorry she is so horrible,” Mina said.

  He smiled at her, “I keep forgetting how connected we are since you are in my head, too. It will take getting used to for both of us.”

  “I like this since it means I can fully trust you and be close to you in every way,” she said.

  “You can and we can do more than just biting tonight. I can make you scream my name after this and please you,” he said.

  He loved the thought of her on top of him. And it made his groin swell. He wanted to be hers in every way possible. He needed her. She made his life bearable and worthwhile. Something he needed desperately in his life. It was boring before her and now it was actually exciting. The drive didn’t take long and before they knew it he pulled into the parking lot of the vampire bar. It was a nice place busy with activity. It was a huge place. All black, too and Vlad’s Blood bar was at the front in neon red and fancy text. It was a nice place for vampires to hang out.

  They pulled into an available parking spot and it was nice to walk into a place she would feel a little welcome. There were vampires coming and going all over the place. There wasn’t a line at the front either.

  Neo opened the door for Mina and he went in.

  They went to the hostess.

  “How many?” she asked and gave Mina a curious look.

  “Two,” Neo said.

  The interior was huge, too. It also had flat screens all over the place and a shitload of booths, too. There was only one row of tables and vampires were already drinking out of nice glasses. The waitresses even sported a few holes on their necks and were dressed with miniskirts and halters. It was all black and red decor. Vinyl booths and pretty busy since it was a weekend after all. The hostess got a few menus and took them to a booth.
