“Is it Khan?” he asked, not bothering with preliminaries. As soon as he heard about the container he had suspected his father’s hand at work. When he discovered Cutter Levi was inside, he was certain.

Tate couldn’t help a small smile appearing on his face. “He played right into our hands. He set one of his men up as a decoy, living it up on Moonta, while he planned to disappear to a new system, with all the credits. We snatched him right out of his escape ship, none of his men know he’s even missing.”

Mike couldn’t help an answering smile, even as he shook his head. His father was still doing things his own way, running rough shod over the authorities. He supposed he should be grateful his father hadn’t delivered a corpse.

“They’ve always been rivals, but he crossed the line with Tod’s death,” Tate continued, his eyes scanning the room as he spoke. “There’s enough info on those wristcoms to convict Khan of murder, if the ‘lice do their job.”

“I better be off.” He stood up, but instead of leaving, Tate shuffled uncomfortably for a second, then glanced at Mike. “Sorry if I landed you in the shit. It just slipped out.”

He was gone before Mike could say anything.

Well that explained how Spier found out Chang was his father, thought Mike, glad to have it finally settled. He got up and paid his bill, then headed back to the spaceport where Dane was waiting with the Rover, his mind busy making plans.

When he got back to Asra, he was going to talk to Dane and Callan, tell them the whole story, explain how he had misunderstood. Then he’d tell them straight out that he knew he had made a big mistake ending their relationship and that he wanted to be their lover for as long as they wanted him to. He knew it wasn’t going to be easy, gods knew it was hard enough maintaining a relationship with one man, let alone two, but he was going to ask them both to give it their best shot.

Then maybe they’d go out for a nice meal somewhere, have a couple of drinks together to celebrate, and come back and spend the rest of the night in Callan’s bed. Or maybe Dane’s. Or his.

He smiled to himself as he walked even faster. He could hardly wait.

  About the Author

After thirty years of working with the unemployed, coping with threats, tears and broken lives (and these were only from fellow staff), LV Lloyd decided it was time to make her escape. And what better place to go than the world of m/m romance? She started writing Dangerous Tension, her first ebook in the Aurigan Space Saga, years ago, but put it aside due to work and family commitments.

In 2012, she dusted off the foolscap pages stored under her bed, finished the story and turned it into a book. Since then, she has written six more ebooks in the Aurigan Space Saga series, and numerous short stories. Her recent work, Gothic Romance is a venture into a new genre, Historical Romance.

LV Lloyd lives in Adelaide, Australia, with her family and two cats. In her spare time she enjoys fishing and visiting the many local wineries.
