Captivating Nights (Boston Nights Book 1) Page 10

At first she thought it would be a cinch. How hard could it be to hold three balls inside herself? That answer became apparent less than a half hour later. Cali’s steps became more difficult as the metal orbs rolled around inside her. Each time the balls bumped against that one spot, her knees would weaken. The two bastards got quite the chuckle out of her discomfort and the sight of their matching smirks would be ingrained into her memory forever.

“Sadists,” she muttered to herself as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. Cali almost didn’t even recognize the woman staring back at her. Had she possibly changed that much? On the outside, no, but the inside? She sighed as the voice in her head shouted, Yes!

Cali‘s sex life had never been a very active one, even though she’d had a few one-night stands over the years. In addition to being dominant, Zane and Xavier were also insatiable. She’d be so exhausted, her body left limp and boneless. When they finally did allow her to go to sleep, she was practically unconscious. Most women would kill to have even one man bring them to multiple orgasms and somehow she had landed herself two.

That’s just my damn luck, she thought to herself.

Tomorrow was New Year’s Eve, which also happened to be her birthday. They told her the night before they had big plans for her. Calista was nervous and excited all rolled up together. Wherever their ultimate destination ended up being, it was somewhere that required her to dress up. She’d not brought anything fancy with her, not that she would’ve had a large selection to choose from, even if in Boston.

She sighed deeply. Zane and Xavier planned on taking her shopping to find something suitable for the occasion and venue, the latter still a mystery to her. She’d learned to trust the two men over the last couple of days, even though it was completely out of character for her to so easily do so.

Glancing in the mirror, she looked at her worn out appearance. Cali knew she needed some time away from Zane and Xavier. She’d been granted permission to change before she met them upstairs for breakfast. Glancing at the alarm clock beside the bed, she realized they’d come and get her soon if she didn’t arrive on time. An age-old debate between right and wrong waged war in her head. Finally, she listened to what she hoped was the right voice and grabbed her room key.

While they ate breakfast, she intended to walk down to the beach. She’d get some time for herself and then meet them for lunch. If they still wanted to go shopping afterward, she’d gladly go. Calista made sure to take the path that wouldn’t go anywhere near where the two men were currently. If she saw them, she’d end up exactly where she didn’t want to be.

How could they possibly know what I need or want? That question was one she found herself asking a lot recently. Most of the time, she didn’t even know, so she’d found it hard to accept that they did. Out of sight didn’t mean out of mind. As she continued down the sandy trail toward the private beach, her thoughts stayed on the two men.

Finally, she made it to the clearing and looked out at the Atlantic Ocean in all its glory. She’d have to make a more concerted effort to take time like this for herself even when she returned to her mundane life in Boston. She soon found a spot to lay her towel down when something in the distance caught her attention. There were three hammocks hanging between a group of shady palm trees. That’d be an even better spot to relax because she wouldn’t have to worry about burning her skin.

There was no telling what those two men had planned for her, but since they were Dominants, there were all sorts of things they could use on her, and if sunburned, it would be most unpleasant. Choosing the center hammock, she climbed into it and sighed contentedly.

“This is the life,” she said aloud before closing her eyes. The breeze was gentle and the sounds and smells so familiar. It wasn’t long before she’d fallen asleep.

Later, she heard people nearby and opened her eyes. She had no idea what time it was and when she looked down at her phone, Calista groaned. It was after one in the afternoon. She’d not only missed breakfast, but lunch too. A sense of dread filled her as she dared to pull up her notifications, realizing Xavier and Zane had called her a dozen times since nine that morning. The last call was well over an hour ago.

She hadn’t heard the phone or even felt the vibration from a single one. Was she really that out of it? She pulled up the settings and knew why. Her phone had been put on silent. She quickly grabbed her things and made her way back to the resort. She’d simply explain what had happened and everything would be fine. After all, they were reasonable men, right?

She ignored the knot in the pit of her stomach as she fumbled around in the small clutch purse until she found her room key. Slipping it into the metal lock, she waited for the small light to turn green and turned the knob.

The sight that greeted her made Cali gasp. Zane was seated on the edge of her freshly made bed, while Xavier stood in the corner of the room. Both men had their arms crossed and the expression on each other’s face could only be described as furious. She swallowed hard. While she expected them to be annoyed, she had completely underestimated what would happen after standing them up.

Nervously, she crossed the room, her hands shaking as she set her things on the dresser. Cali never expected to feel like a child breaking curfew. She opened her mouth to explain, quickly clamping it shut as two pairs of eyes darkened in anger.

“Did you have a nice time out there today, angel?” Zane sounded like he was grinding his teeth together to keep from yelling at her.

“I…ummm…” She started to reply, then changed her mind. The clipped tone of his voice didn’t even try to mask his irritation.

“We waited for you, belleza. All morning, in fact.” Xavier’s tone was no less comforting and the extent of the damage quickly sank in.

At this point, she doubted her honesty would score any points. Zane’s next words confirmed that.

“Remove your bottoms and come lie across my knee.”

Her eyes widened at the sight of the belt lying beside Zane. Why didn’t I notice that earlier? Without even realizing it, Cali had taken two steps back as she shook her head.

  “Now! Calista!”

Xavier issued the order in a clipped voice. She wanted to argue with them, possibly throw herself at their feet and grovel, but the end result would be the same. They’d given her a direct order, which she deliberately disobeyed. Now they were giving another and she had no means of escape. She could use one of the safe words, knowing they would honor it, but the bigger question now was whether they would stay. The consequences of her actions set in, scaring her more than the spanking they intended to give her.

She looked between the two men, taking in the arch of their raised brows. They were confident that she’d do as commanded. Her hands moved to her cover-up and within seconds, she had removed it along with her bikini bottom. She wasn’t sure whether they wanted her top gone too, but Cali decided to err on the side of caution and removed it anyway. Now completely naked, she crossed the few steps to the bed, a sense of vulnerability she’d never felt with them before invading her. Taking a deep breath, she lowered herself onto Zane’s lap, stretching out across it.

Her breasts and head hung off one side of him while her legs dangled off the other. Her belly was pressed against his strong thighs and her ass in the perfect range for him to spank it.

Cali knew this was her punishment, but deep down she could already feel the stirrings of arousal as she anticipated their touch.

“We want you to think about what you did to earn this punishment, angel.”

She yelped at the searing pain that spread across her ass as Zane delivered the first blow. Why did I think he’d build up to the harder ones? Not only that, but he didn’t allow any time to even acclimate to the first one before laying another blistering stripe across her ass.

Swinging the heavy belt, Zane landed blow after blow across her flesh. Each lash with the heavy strap caused her cheeks to burn even more. Welts formed on the surface of her skin, each one
stinging more than the last. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she could do nothing more than hang her head, partially in shame. These men had told her more than once that as long as she was their submissive, they had a responsibility to her. Being so irresponsible was very much out of character for her. As she turned the morning’s events over in her mind, Cali came to the inevitable conclusion that she was the one in the wrong. She’d been inconsiderate to their feelings and this was the punishment they deemed to fit her crime.

Once that realization finally registered, her tears began to dry up. Zane finished swatting her ass and she heard a loud thunk as the belt hit the floor. Large hands caressed her welted cheeks and the unbearable burn from a few minutes earlier morphed into heated warmth. Just like that, her body hummed with desire and she briefly regretted that he’d already gotten rid of the belt. As Zane’s calloused palms continued to roam over her skin, she became even more turned on. What kind of depraved freak am I? How could I get pleasure from such pain?

“The answer is simple, belleza. Your body craves it.”

She’d not even realized that she had asked the question out loud until Xavier answered her. A few moments later, his strong arms lifted her easily off Zane’s lap and she felt the cool comforter beneath her back. She moaned at the contrast in temperatures between her heated ass cheeks and the blanket. It was the equivalent of a cool compress on feverish skin.

Afterward, she was flanked by both males, two sets of hands roaming over her body.

“Why did you disappear this morning, Calista?”

Cali closed her eyes for a moment before opening them. These two men deserved the truth.

“I just needed a little space. I-I…” she stammered, not quite sure how to explain that she was overwhelmed. “Everything was moving so fast. I just needed to be alone to think.”

“And now that you’ve had time to think?” Xavier asked, brushing one of his hands over an aching breast. Her nipple hardened instantly at his touch and she tried her hardest to hold back a moan.

“I was wrong to not let you both know first.” She knew that now and made a silent vow to never be so irresponsible again.

“Good girl, belleza. We’re not so unreasonable that we wouldn’t allow you time to catch your breath. We’re not so blinded to the fact that this type of arrangement is completely new to you. We do understand that. We gave you two words that first night and they still hold just as much power today as they did then.”

“I know and I…I just don’t know what came over me. I’ve never done anything like that before. I’m so sorry,” she apologized, hoping they’d hear the sincerity in it.

“Without communication, there’s no relationship. Without trust, there’s no reason to continue. Are you going to trust us with your mind, body, and soul, angel? Or is this the end?”

When Zane put it like that, Cali realized exactly how deeply she must have hurt the men. Tears welled up in her eyes and she forced herself to swallow the large lump in her throat before responding. “I will trust you both.”

“Good girl,” Xavier said before pressing his lips to her forehead. “Let’s put off shopping until tomorrow.”

“Are you sure?” she asked, guilt suffusing her that the only known plans for the day had now been cancelled.

Zane brushed his thumb over her quivering bottom lip. “The stores will be there tomorrow. We’ll wake up early, find something at a boutique, and be at our destination by the afternoon.”

Neither man sounded that upset about the change in plans, and they’d know better than her, since she still hadn’t a single clue where they’d planned to take her anyway. Smiling brightly at the men, she’d follow their lead from that point on.

  Chapter 20

THE NEXT MORNING, THE three flew on a private jet to a destination unknown to her at the time. Calista has been very excited once she found out their plans for the day included seeing another island. All she could think about was how beautiful the mystery location looked as the plane touched down at the local airstrip. When they had stepped foot in the airport, she found out where they had taken her. Their stay at the airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, wasn’t long, though, because she was immediately led to a waiting vehicle.

Then, Zane and Xavier took her on a mini shopping spree. The men were secretive, as usual, about the remainder of their plans, but she truly enjoyed the Mall of San Juan and the luxury boutiques she would’ve never dreamed of shopping in before. “It’s your birthday, belleza,” Xavier had told her.

She ended up leaving the mall with two pairs of heels from Jimmy Choo and a gorgeous halter gown from Nordstrom’s that made her feel like a princess when she’d tried it on. Calista had hoped to see one of the beaches, but the men had other ideas for their time here.

“A work issue has arisen that I need to take care of, angel, but Xavier is going to take you somewhere this afternoon,” Zane told her before someone had picked him up from the mall area.

Cali had to admit she was more than a little upset that Zane couldn’t join them, but she wouldn’t let her own hurt put a damper on the time she had with Xavier. He’d told her that he was going to test his luck out at a local casino and the entire trip there he held her hand firmly in the grasp of his own. The heat radiating off his skin was both reassuring and arousing. Their proximity and her body’s reaction to his continued touch had her entire frame tingling in anticipation.

As he tried to give her a history lesson of the area, her attention drifted. All she could focus on was the earlier promise the two men had made. Before meeting the two of them, she’d never experienced a ménage, nor had she even entertained the thought of doing so, and knowing that tonight she’d have both inside of her was all she could think about. She should’ve been taking in the surroundings and soaking up the history of the city like a sponge, but it was impossible. She hadn’t even taken any pictures. Xavier noticed her distracted state because he leaned in a couple of times on the ride over to ask if she was okay.

“A penny for your thoughts?” he asked for what had to be the third time. All Cali would give him was a shake of her head. There was no need to let him know exactly how much he affected her. Occasionally, though, a knowing smirk crossed his face, all but confirming he knew exactly what his presence alone did to her. The man was more than pleased with himself.

The vehicle slowed to a stop and her eyes widened at the large building before them. It looked more like a castle than a casino, spectacular and outshining the extravagance that even Las Vegas had to offer. It screamed wealth and privilege, two things that she didn’t possess, though Xavier obviously did. He seemed unaffected, even jaded. It was obvious that he was accustomed to such grandeur because he was at ease and not the slightest bit awed by anything around them.

“Stay right there, Calista,” he told her as he stepped out of the car, appearing at her door a few seconds later to help her exit the vehicle. Not only was he drop-dead gorgeous, charming, wealthy, and sexually magnificent, the man was also chivalrous.

As the small heel of her sandals hit the pavement, Xavier pulled her into his arms, brushing his lips over hers. A small moan escaped and he chose that moment to thrust his tongue inside, overwhelming her with each second that passed. Cali found herself having to cling to his broad shoulders because her knees could no longer support her weight as all the air seemed to leave her lungs while he kissed her. Finally, he pulled back, those hazel eyes making her melt.

“This is Casa de Suerte, belleza, which essentially means, house of luck. What do you think of it so far?”

Thankful for the question, she loosened her grip on his shoulders and forced herself to look around. The few couples arriving and leaving were all dressed to the nines in formal wear. She’d heard about different fundraisers throughout the years in Boston, but she’d never attended any of them because they just weren’t her scene. Feelings of inadequacy crept into her mind now as she continued to assess the women and how they looked. While she considered herself t
o be dressed up, watching the others in designer gowns exiting luxury cars made Cali realize how underdressed she really was. Already she felt out of place and she had yet to step inside. Maybe she should’ve worn the gown they’d bought earlier now instead. At least then she wouldn’t have to deal with the same fears and insecurities she faced daily back home.

“Stop fidgeting, Calista. You look gorgeous. Every man in the entire place will be envious because you are here with me. Sucks to be them.”

She nearly snorted at the comment, but the look on his face told her he was sincere. There was vehemence to it, a passion that she didn’t quite understand and could not resist. Forcing herself to smile, she took a deep breath. “I’m sorry, Sir. Are you ready?”

Xavier seemed pleased enough with her apology, and she didn’t miss the flare of something indescribable in his eyes when she addressed him as Sir. Flashing his set of pearly white teeth, he smiled at her the way he had at the bar that first night. Her cheeks became heated and she was close to begging him to go inside, hoping the building was air conditioned. She had the hots…literally…for this man, and seeing him looking so dapper in his suit didn’t help her cause. Xavier looked like he’d stepped out of a Giorgio Armani advertisement, and she wouldn’t allow her mind to even put into words what she considered herself to look like.

“Let’s go make our entrance.” Squeezing her hand, he led her through the double doors that opened into an Atrium.

Immediately, her eyes widened at the sight that greeted her. Walls comprised of floor-to-ceiling marble, grand columns made out of onyx and pearl led into an even more impressive atrium. Xavier told her that many events took place here, and she could see why, as this room was even more awe-inspiring than the previous one. The walls were covered in artwork and there were numerous statues that must have cost a fortune, prominently displayed. The palatial structure was grand in every sense of the word. The last thing she noticed before leaving the atrium was the prevalence of orange and gold colors. This place was most certainly fit for a king.
