“You’re pregnant,” he said. When Natalie’s smile grew wider, he reached for her and pulled her into his lap and wrapped his arms around her. “We’re going to be parents!”
She nodded, and he took her face in his hands and brought his mouth down to hers. He kissed her softly but passionately, pouring all of his love into her with the touch of his lips. Natalie moved her body around so that she was straddling his lap, and then she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him tighter against his body.
“I love you, Kyle. You’re going to be the best father.”
Kyle growled low under his breath. His love for her was nearly overwhelming, but he would never want it any other way. Kyle wrapped his arms around Natalie’s waist and stood. Without separating their mouths, he carried her back out of the bathroom to their bed. Kyle laid Natalie down on the bed and stood back up, raking his eyes over her beautiful body. The silk gown she had slept in the night before left little to the imagination. It clung to her curves, and the way the fabric peaked around her taught nipples only made him grow harder. Natalie’s scent flared, and when Kyle inhaled her scent, he ripped off his boxers and took his heavy length in his hand with a firm grip to hold off his release. The sight of her, combined with her intoxicating smell of arousal and knowing that she had made him a father, nearly pushed him over the edge before they could get started.
He watched Natalie’s eyes roam down his body to where he held his thick shaft in his hand. When she stared at him and bit her lip, he felt himself pulsing in his hand. The beast inside of him was urging him to stake his claim, hard and fast, but Kyle wanted to take his time and make love to his mate. Natalie placed her hands on her open thighs, then she began slowly moving them upward. When her hands met the bottom of her gown, she kept moving them up, and the gown moved up with them. When she had the gown moved up high enough to reveal she wasn’t wearing any panties, Kyle’s hips thrust forward automatically, causing his length to move through his hand. A jolt of pleasure sparked at the base of his spine. He pumped himself slowly while Natalie continued moving her hands up until her gown was pushed up over her breasts, and she cupped each of her breasts in her own hands.
Kyle had to get his hands on her. He crawled up the bed and ran his hands up each one of Natalie’s thighs until he reached her sex. He held himself up with one hand on the mattress, then he ran his other hand up, allowing his fingertips to lightly run over Natalie’s sex, circling her sensitive nub just above the opening of her sex, which made her squirm. Natalie moaned and began rocking her hips so that she was rubbing herself against his fingers. Kyle placed his lips just above Natalie’s hipbone and dragged his mouth up her body using the tip of his tongue to bring goosebumps to her flesh. When he reached her breasts, he removed his hand from her sex and cupped her breast, then he brought his mouth down and sucked in her nipple, using his tongue to caress her nipple. Natalie thrust her body upward, pushing her breast more firmly into his mouth, and drove her fingers into his hair, holding his face to her breast.
“Mmm, Kyle,” she moaned.
Hearing his name on her lips had him moving his hips without thinking, seeking contact with her. Kyle released her breast and moved up farther. He grabbed her gown where she had left it pushed up above her breasts, yanked with both hands, and ripped it off of her body. He pressed his mouth to the side of her neck just behind her ear and kissed before nipping lightly at the exposed skin there. Then he moved around to capture her mouth in a searing kiss. With his lips still sealed around Natalie’s, Kyle wrapped his hands behind her knees and pulled her legs up and around his waist. He rotated his hips a few times, allowing his engorged length to rub over Natalie’s hot, wet flesh.
“Kyle,” Natalie groaned.
He heard the desperation in her voice, and he was right there with her. He pulled back and slowly slid inside of her warm heat, gritting his teeth to keep from losing it and climaxing the moment he felt her amazing body envelop him.
“Natalie, grr.”
Natalie dug her nails in his back when he started moving inside of her. Kyle moved slowly at first, but when he felt her nails scrape against his skin, he lost control and slammed into her over and over again. Natalie threw her head back into the pillows and clamped her legs around him when he thrust himself deep inside of her. He was lost in her body and in the look of sheer ecstasy that had taken over her face. When he felt her body tighten around him, he moved faster, making them both cry out with their release growing closer.
“Kyle, oh God, I love you.”
When he heard those words escape Natalie’s lips while her body began to spasm around him, that was all it took. Kyle’s climax ripped through him, the tingling in his spine exploding as his release exploded with Natalie’s.
“I love you, Natalie.”
Kyle moved inside of Natalie a few more times until they had both rode out their pleasure through every spasm and were both completely spent.
He pulled her in so that their bodies were nearly inseparable. Natalie looked up at him and smiled, and when she did, Kyle bent his head and placed a soft kiss to her lips.
“I love you so much. I can’t wait to be a father to our children, and I know you’re going to be an amazing mother.”
A tear ran down Natalie’s smiling face, and Kyle wiped it away with his thumb.
“I love you, too, and you’re going to be an amazing father, too. I can’t wait to meet our little one.”
Kyle closed his eyes and held her tight. Natalie laid her head on his chest, and he was sure that when he fell back to sleep, there was a big smile on his face.

Kyle stood and waited for everyone to look his way. Natalie had insisted on helping their new cook, Alice, make the meal, and everyone was focused on the amazing smells coming from the center of the table and enjoying each other’s company. For the first time, they had gathered just to be together and celebrate with nothing bad happening to put a dampening on the mood. They had waited until everyone they cared about could attend dinner to share their wonderful news, and Kyle was about to burst at the seams with joy and pride, waiting to tell everyone. Both of their parents were present, Craig came back from the Anastas pride with Dave and Joseph sitting on either side of him, Mr. Collins was there, and, of course, Glenn and Alice, who had become some of their closest friends, joined them. Basically, everyone they called family sat around the table.
He took Natalie’s hand and pulled out her chair so that they were both standing at the head of the table together. He held her hand and just stared into her eyes with a big smile on his face until he realized that all of the chatter around the table had stopped. They both turned to face their guests at the table at the same time, and Kyle wasn’t surprised to see everyone’s eyes on them.
“We have some exciting news that we have been wanting to share with all of you,” Kyle said.
He looked at Natalie, and she smiled up at him, then she nodded like she knew exactly what he wanted without him having to say it. Considering they were able to listen to each other’s thoughts, that didn’t surprise him. Kyle turned back to the people who were sitting around the table with their eyes focused on him, and Natalie patiently waited for one of them to elaborate. Kyle turned so that his body was facing Natalie’s and placed his hands on either side of her belly, then he looked back at their family. He saw that a couple of the guys were just looking at him like they had no clue what was going on, but all of the women seemed to have caught on right away. He watched both his and Natalie’s mom blink away their tears as bright smiles spread across their faces.
“Oh, honey. Are you serious?” his mother asked. Her voice was shaky, and he knew she was about two seconds away from letting her emotions take over.
“Yes, Mom.”
Natalie’s mother faced her father, and her voice was a high-pitched squeak when she threw her arms around his neck. “We’re going to be grandparents!”
When Patricia said that, all of the males around the table
finally clued in. Kyle saw a few of their eyes bug out for a minute like they weren’t sure what to take away from the news, but when his brother’s eyes locked with his and saw the happiness that was there, Craig beamed right back up at him and Natalie.
“Hell, yeah! I’m going to be the best uncle any little lion could hope for, but don’t worry, brother, I’ll try not to make you look too lame to the little one.” Craig winked at Kyle, and everyone at the table busted out laughing.
Kyle bent down and placed a kiss over Natalie’s belly. Only a couple of months ago, he had thought that he would have to spend the rest of his life alone, watching the woman he loved with a man she hated. Instead, they were together and soul mates. They were the leaders of two of the best lion prides in existence, surrounded by people who loved them, and they were about to start their very own family. They might have had to fight like hell to get this happy life, but Kyle would do it all over again if it meant he would wind up right where he was. He had never believed in fairy tales, but being mated with Natalie was damn close.
