Ollie’s stomach twisted with a pleasant heat, and he licked the inside of Luis’s palm before burying his face in its salty heat. He meowed and looked up at Luis with a smile. He was delighted to see true warmth in Luis’s eyes for the first time in days. Maybe Luis had some other problems that made him less open to Ollie’s needs? He surely wouldn’t just be neglectful.

Cin’s meow made Ollie whine and push against Luis. He wanted to be alone with Luis, and his frustration was beginning to get the best of him. Why couldn’t he be Luis’s only kitty? Why couldn’t he be Luis’s boyfriend? Live with him in the main house and greet Luis with conversation when he came home from work. This was not how their relationship started, and it seemed they were growing apart instead of closer.

Luis got up and tsked at Cin. “What’s up with you two lately, huh? Are you wondering if the dream from your letter will be coming true?” He walked down the corridor, and both Ollie and Cin followed him toward the patio door.

Ollie rushed forward and purred, rubbing his head against the back of Luis’s knee. He glanced at Cin. Was this about the cat tree?

But when they reached the door, Luis leaned down and grabbed Cin under the arms, tugging him outside. “Stay there, baby, okay?” He stroked Cin’s hair but then closed the door, making Ollie’s heart beat faster. He’d be alone with Luis! His eyes grew wider, and he whined softly, tingling with anticipation.

  “What’s—”

Luis shook his head at him. “It’s cat time, sweetie. Come on, come with me. I’ve got something special for you.” He made his way toward the kitchen and took his shirt off on the way, exposing all the muscle Ollie could lick for hours.

He meowed, following him with an eagerness that came straight from the depths of his chest. He’d been chastised for trying to have a human interaction with Luis yet again. When they first met, all their interactions had been in human time, but as months went on, it seemed that Ollie really stopped being a man in Luis’s eyes.

Luis took a bowl from one of the cupboards, placed it on the floor, and then kneeled next to it. “Come here, Ollie.” He smiled and unbuckled his belt.

Ollie sucked in his lip, his eyes focused on the slowly opening zipper as he crawled closer. Oh, God, he knew what was coming his way, and his mouth was already salivating. As far as he knew, Luis only did this with him, and seeing the master get so aroused and excited about their little secret ritual made Ollie’s skin tingle.

“Yes? You missed this too, baby?” Luis ran his fingers through Ollie’s hair and sat back on his heels.

Ollie purred and lowered the front of his body, wiggling his ass as if he really had a tail. He slipped out his tongue and lapped at the rim of the clean bowl, already awaiting his treat.

“Oh yes, who’s my prettiest kitty?” Luis smiled and pushed his pants down just enough to release his half-hard cock.

Ollie whimpered and leaned forward, nuzzling the smooth cockhead.

Luis’s breath sped up, and he started stroking his cock, lubricating it with a bit of saliva. “You like that, Ollie? Like my cock and my cum? I bet you can’t wait, baby.”

Ollie swirled his tongue along Luis’s hand and sucked in the skin of Luis’s sack, moaning softly at the musky, masculine taste. Moments like this made him feel special, as if there were really affections Luis only had for him. That maybe there was hope for some kind of future together once Luis satisfied his craving for novelty. He was sure that at one point or another, the moment would come for Luis to need a partner, not a pet.

“You’re the cutest little thing, Ollie,” Luis whispered, jerking off quicker, his thick cock already rock hard in the tight hole of his closed palm.

Ollie opened his mouth and sucked in the head, shivering each time Luis’s hand bumped against his lips. He wanted to be the cutest. He wanted to be pleasing, a gem much brighter than handsome Smokey could ever be. A fitting name for Goran too. It stood for smoke that would soon disperse.

Luis moved his fingers over his cock even faster, petting Ollie’s hair with his other hand. “You want this, kitty, don’t you? Hungry to lick it all up, that’s what you are.” Luis’s scent was so intense and arousing it went all the way to Ollie’s balls.

He sucked on Luis’s balls loudly, kissing the smooth skin and blowing hot air all over the damp flesh. He looked up, past the cock, all the way to the handsome flushed face that he wanted to lick all over. His stomach was clenching and relaxing with anticipation.

Luis pushed him away gently, as he would a real cat, and frantically jerked off above the bowl. “All yours, baby. All for you.” He gasped, barely catching air, and some of the cum dripped to the floor.

Ollie moaned and leaned over to rub his face against the throbbing dick. The smudge of wetness that was left on his skin made him shudder, but he couldn’t wait and leaned down to lick the few droplets of salty sperm off the tiles. Sucking it off the smooth ceramics, he rubbed his chin against the surface too. The bowl was waiting for him, and he greedily lapped through the seed, scooping it with his tongue, not to lose a single drop.

Luis petted his nape, still panting after his orgasm. “Yes, lick it all up.” His hand moved down Ollie’s spine and all the way to Ollie’s ass. He rubbed his fingertips between Ollie’s buttocks, and the burning hot sensation spreading all over Ollie’s loins pressed a deep moan out of him.

Oh, yes. Maybe Luis would fuck him again later tonight. For now, Ollie would take what was given and slurped all the fresh cum before trailing kisses up the slowly softening cock. He crawled closer and scratched his paws all over Luis’s chest, trying to get into his arms. Their eyes met.

“Yes, come here, Ollie. You always know how to cheer me up.” Luis smiled and fell back to the tiles, pulling Ollie with him. When Ollie’s hard cock pressed into Luis’s stomach, a moan escaped his lips from the delicious pressure.

He nuzzled Luis’s face and moaned, grinding his erection against his master, hard and soft at the same time. Pleasure streamed all over his body from the friction, but just being in those strong, warm arms was relief to an extent he didn’t expect.

“So sweet and pretty,” Luis whispered and bit on Ollie’s ear as his hand slipped between their bodies and squeezed Ollie’s cock.

Ollie gasped, nipping at the scruffy chin and smelling the fresh cologne Luis always used. He loved how the skin on Luis’s face scratched him whenever he was allowed to touch it. He almost told Luis about it, but he bit his tongue so he wouldn’t aggravate his master. Orgasm overtook his senses, and he was shaking, moaning, and coming all over Luis’s chest.

“Nice. Sticky, sweet, and my prettiest kitty,” Luis whispered and held Ollie tightly in his arms.

Ollie whimpered and looked at Luis long and tenderly, hoping it could somehow communicate the depth of his feelings. Did Luis even know? Should Ollie tell him? It paralyzed him that no matter what, his affection could be unwanted.

“I like this time we have to ourselves. I should pamper you next week. Give you a massage. Would you like that, baby?” Luis kissed the side of Ollie’s head.

Ollie’s heart thumped, and he kissed Luis’s soft, smooth lips, then licked him, and cuddled up to him, hoping this was a good sign for the future.

“Yes, that’s what I thought.” Luis laughed, and he hugged Ollie tighter. “I’m so lucky to have all of you. Even if we’re together just for a while, I will never ever forget any of you.”

Ollie forced his lips to remain in the same position, but a cold fog spread through his chest. Disappointment always followed each of Ollie’s successes. He kissed Luis, opening his lips and teasing his master’s mouth gently, like no cat ever would.

Luis slid his hands to Ollie’s ass and closed his eyes as they kissed—the intimacy so pleasant in comparison to the communal living arrangements in the cattery. Yet something was missing. Without being able to talk much to Luis, Ollie only got the scraps of information Luis wanted to give him and wasn’t able to communicate any of his own feelings and in
securities. And those were growing like weeds in the cattery’s garden since Goran became a part of their life.

Ollie glided his fingertips down Luis’s cheek, smiling when it scratched him. The connection between them was there, and he needed to make his move now that they were alone. “Wouldn’t it be nice if we maybe had dinner together sometime?”

Luis gasped, his eyes grew wider, and he began stuttering. “I-I-I…” He had to swallow and take another deep breath. “It’s cat time,” he choked out and gently pushed Ollie off.

Ollie’s lips pressed together, but as he fell down to his knees, he still said, “It’s always cat time.”

Luis zipped up his pants and wouldn’t meet Ollie’s gaze. “That’s a strike, Ollie.”

Ollie sat cross-legged and swallowed the lingering taste of sperm. As much as he hated Goran’s comments, at the moment, he did not feel like Luis’s friend. Out of all the cats, he was the only one to have actually known Luis before this whole cattery thing, so it was a sour pill to swallow. Luis didn’t even look back at him as he rushed out of the kitchen, forgetting his T-shirt.

Ollie slowly got to his feet, keeping his hand on the counter and taking deep, slow breaths. He needed to be with the others, keep himself occupied, or he’d just break down again. He couldn't believe he let himself act out like that and actually got a strike.

His feet carried him through the spacious modern house, which seemed like the epitome of a luxurious bachelor pad, but it was the music and voices that drew him in. He couldn’t just stay alone and constantly worry. He needed to be positive, but that was the last thing he could force himself to be when he saw Luis by the pool with Cin in his lap. The ginger traitor had his head on the master’s shoulder, and his eyes closed, so he looked like an angel he most definitely wasn’t.

This was what Luis really wanted. What he didn’t want was Oliver. And for Cin, this much attention was enough.

Ollie slowly walked down the stairs and shed his cat ears, tossing them into the bushes. The breeze caressed his skin, taking away the surface of all the worries that wouldn’t let Ollie sleep at night.

Even Goran was in the water, showing Bounce some kind of movement, or breathing technique, or whatever, not caring that nothing was right in the picture-perfect scenery around him. No one could see the pain inside of Ollie’s heart. Worst of all though, Luis, the one person who must have noticed something was wrong.

Even in this pleasure house full of handsome men, Ollie was as lonely as he’d always been.

  Chapter 8

Ollie had been acting off in the last few days. Even now, when everyone else was bursting with excitement about the surprise Luis had promised, he kept to himself, curled up in the corner with yet another thick book. Whenever someone approached him, he seemed dismissive, or just not in the mood to talk, and eventually everyone left him alone. Goran would have assumed it was just Ollie being a diva if it weren’t for the fact that it’d been a week since he’d seen him play or happily sunbathe at the pool island.

On one hand, Goran didn’t really care about the egomaniac’s attitudes, but on the other, being locked up with a piece of candy he couldn’t have, no Internet to distract himself, no access to new guys, or even without the ability to escape the presence of the others for more than a few hours, made Goran watch everyone around him more carefully. No matter how mean, Ollie was still nice to look at, so despite not talking to him at all, Goran was becoming weirdly attached to following Ollie’s routine and stealing glances at him.

“Maybe he’s gonna give us new beds, more like the one Ollie has,” said Bounce, who’d been especially fidgety since they’d been all locked up in one of the rooms inside the house.

“It would be nice to go to that private island again,” said Clove, who was busy making a loose braid out of his hair.

As much as Goran was on silence strike, that pushed him over the edge of curiosity. “He took you to a private island?”

All the guys looked back at him.

“Yes, about two months ago,” said Cin in the end. “We were sleeping in those amazing straw shacks and had bonfires every night for a week.”

“And we remained people for most of the day,” added Clove.

Ollie didn’t even seem to have heard them and only pushed deeper inside the egg-shaped chair he was seated in.

Bounce smiled and crossed his legs. “I’ll never forget that week.” He looked around the room. “I’ll miss you guys when I leave. I think the lack of Internet and not being around so many people made me actually feel everything more intensely. Gave me time to reflect.” He’d never sounded so serious before, and it piqued Goran’s curiosity.

Cin sniggered. “Soft as a cheesecake,” he said and poked Bounce’s ribs, immediately crumbling the somber atmosphere.

“You wonder if Ollie ever misses the guys who came here before us?” asked Clove, suddenly speaking in a much lower voice.

Goran looked to Ollie with a frown. What did that mean? How long had Ollie actually been living here? Was his time also close to being up? “Do you?” slipped out of his mouth, even though he swore he wouldn’t speak to Ollie again.

Ollie’s eyes darted toward them from above the book. “Do I what?”

Clove sighed and discreetly slapped Goran’s arm. “I was wondering if you ever miss the guys who left since you came to live in the cattery.”

Ollie’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and for a moment, it seemed that his eyes lost focus. “I’m not sure. I suppose I enjoy the time we have, and then everyone moves on.”

But me seemed to be somewhere in that sentence, and Goran’s frown deepened. Did Ollie love the cat role-play so much that he wanted to live it forever? He didn’t seem to, as most of the time when Luis wasn’t here, Ollie spent time as himself. It only made Goran realize how little he actually knew about Ollie.

Bounce let out a deep sigh. “I always find goodbyes really hard.”

“There’s no reason why we couldn’t hang out outside. We’ll just have to exchange contact information,” said Clove, and Cin just shrugged, not seeming as keen as the other two.

Bounce didn’t notice though and nodded eagerly. The chime of the cat bell had all of them straightening up, and Goran scolded himself for following the reactions of the herd, but he was just as curious about what the surprise was as everyone else.

“Where are my kitties?” Luis said from afar, the smile present even in his voice.

Soft cotton brushed against Goran’s bare forearm as Ollie joined him at the front of the group. He meowed softly but didn’t follow Cin to the master’s knees. Goran bumped into him and pushed him to the side, eager to get a reaction out of the pretty ice prince, but Ollie just ignored the teasing and settled on kneeling close to Luis’s feet and looking up at him. This kind of passivity wasn’t like him at all. Since Goran came to the cattery, Ollie had been always eager to hoard all of Luis’s attention. Goran had no idea what made him act so apathetic recently, but the change was sharp and impossible to miss.

Luis smiled at them and gave Clove a piece of chocolate. “Are you ready for the surprise? You have Cinnamon to thank for it.”

Cin meowed loudly and pounced on Luis’s calf with a wide smile. Bounce followed his example and pulled on Luis’s shorts with his teeth, trying to already drag him outside. Luis laughed and ruffled his hair, but instead of walking out of the room, he held the door until all the guys crawled into the corridor first.

“I know, I know, you must be so eager. I think you missed your calling, Bounce. You should have been a puppy.”

Bounce whined and pulled away. Goran could see it on his face--he was re-evaluating his cat role-play skills. The distressed look was too funny but made Goran think about his own cat persona even more. He always tried to give his walk a more elegant vibe but wasn’t sure how he was doing. Ollie was the master of effortless grace, and watching him made Goran feel like a clumsy little kitten next to an award-winning pedigree cat.

  Goran’s lip
s parted on their own when he looked out into the garden. Cin squealed at the sight of what could only be a human-sized interpretation of a cat tree, just nearby the pool.

The structure was so huge it looked like yet another house, with numerous tunnels to walk between spherical or cubical rooms. The whole thing was almost as tall as the cattery and consisted of three levels held up by sturdy metal scaffolds. Cin whined and pushed his slim body between Luis’s legs, brushing himself against their master over and over. Clove licked his hand before slowly crawling toward one of the circular entrances. He smelled the wooden wall that made up one of the spaces and slowly pushed inside.

To differentiate himself from the others, Goran gave Luis a playful bite on the calf before rushing to another entrance on all fours. He was as excited as when he’d gone to a waterpark for the first time as a kid. He rather wanted to sneer at the whole idea of creating an adult-sized play area, tell everyone that it was only an outrageous fancy of a man with money to burn, but he couldn’t resist the pull of the little brat that still lived deep inside him. The cat tree reminded him of the happy days he had spent playing on the huge playground in his hometown. Together with a group of friends, he used to re-imagine the elevated castle-like structure in the middle as a fortress, which they would defend from another ‘gang’ of kids. This seemed like a similar form of make-believe, yet now he was a cat, free from any responsibilities and expected to play with the huge and incredibly expensive toy.

With no one watching him, he didn’t have to worry about anyone seeing his face-splitting smile, and he began exploring the space, climbing ladders, peeking out of holes, looking out of windows, and sliding down slides as he listened to the meows and laughter of the other guys, who seemed to be having just as much fun as he did. He made it a game to try and run away from them, and any time he’d hear one of them approaching, he’d rush down yet another tunnel. Some were made of fiberglass, some had plush walls, and some darker corridors even lit up with little lights once he entered them.
