Goran groaned. The sound of Cin giving sloppy head was driving him wild with lust. He held on tightly to Ollie, and another thrust finally hit the spot, pushing his cockhead through Ollie’s sphincter. He didn’t even wait. He was a cat in heat, and mating was the only point on his agenda. He pushed his cock farther into Ollie’s slippery hole and wouldn’t stop until his hips touched Ollie’s ass.

Ollie raised the front of his body, shuddering and pulling away slightly, but Goran pressed his mitten-covered hands into the slight curve of Ollie’s hips and kept him in place, burying himself deep inside Ollie’s molten-hot ass. He groaned when his balls slapped against flesh.

“You look so cute together,” gasped Luis, who lay on the mattress with Bounce kissing his neck and Cin nuzzling his exposed dick. It was odd to be watched like this with Ollie of all people. Their sex had been semi-private so far, but those guys were their friends, and their presence only boosted adrenaline levels in Goran. Most importantly, as long as no one interfered, he was fine with them watching.

Ollie was all his and they would somehow make it through so they could fuck like this every night and then talk until morning at the beach.

Goran made slow, rounded movements with his hips, teasing them both—Ollie with his dick and himself with the plug, which rolled inside with each stir of Goran’s hips. Sex toys had never been on his radar, yet now he totally knew what was so hot about them, and he’d definitely work them into his sex life in the future.

Ollie groaned and pushed back, arching his hips against Goran’s while giving him the dirtiest of looks, teeth firmly sunken in the plump lower lip. The rocking motion sent Goran’s mind sky-high, and he pressed the front of his body tighter to Ollie’s back, hugging him. The scent of Ollie’s hair baited his senses into squeezing the fragrant body even harder, and despite the presence of other people, the sex still felt intimate. Their friends could see their bodies rocking together but they didn’t know a thing of the emotions involved. Those were only Goran and Ollie’s.

He bit on Ollie’s ear, wishing he could whisper some dirty words while he was at it, but cat time had its rules. Every time he’d talked to Ollie about all the lewd things he’d do, Ollie would squeeze his ass around Goran’s cock harder, as if he wanted to milk the cock inside of him. His sweaty, beautiful, horny boyfriend was so eager for cum.

Goran picked up his pace and fucked Ollie harder, his hips slapping against the pert ass. Ollie was so far gone he actually uttered Goran’s name in the heat of passion, but Luis must have not noticed, too busy kissing Bounce, who in turn was getting his cock sucked by Clove.

Goran kissed Ollie’s neck and grazed his teeth over it, as a real tomcat would. Ollie let out a broken moan, and he reached his plush-covered hand between his legs. Goran was so close to losing himself that his vision was becoming hazy, but when he saw the glimpse of red hair, Cin trying to crawl under Ollie, likely to suck him off, Goran hissed and smacked the fucker. Not too hard, especially with the paw mitten on, but enough to get the message across.

Cin blinked, rolling away in a dramatic display of shock. He whimpered loudly, but Ollie was already coming, squeezing tight around Goran’s cock. He didn’t need Cin’s dirty mouth when Goran was there to service him in any way he could.

Goran held on to his lover, his gorgeous kitten, and his wet dream all at once. He let loose, slamming his cock into the throbbing hole until he came with a grunt of satisfaction, and he closed his eyes, trying to ground all the emotions and sensations in his body. The way the butt plug shifted inside of him gave him one of the most intense orgasms of his life, and the aftershocks were still shaking him.

Ollie meowed, raising himself and pushing at Goran from the bottom, as if he wanted to hold him up. He turned his head around and pressed his heated lips to Goran’s, causing yet another tornado to roam all over Goran’s brain, leaving behind a complete mess. He moaned into the kiss, not willing to pull his cock out just yet. He liked to imagine that they connected better fucking bareback. That he was leaving a part of himself in Ollie, and Ollie would never be able to reject him after that.

He stiffened in surprise when large, warm hands roamed up and down his back, gently massaging his skin.

“Good kitty. I’m so proud of you. You made my Ollie feel so good, Smokey,” said Luis, leaning over to brush his lips next to Goran’s ear.

Luis was handsome, hot, nice… so why did Goran cringe away from his touch? Ollie’s lips left his, and when Goran looked at him, he was devastated to not see the usual haziness but worry. Listening to his own heartbeat, Goran let Luis pull him back just enough for his cock to leave Ollie’s ass.

“That was quite an experience,” whispered Luis, massaging Goran’s chest. “I hope you’ll give another show for Bounce before he leaves. You two look so good together.”

Goran whimpered, trying to play along with the cat role, and he extended his arms as if to reach for Ollie, but Luis pushed him forward, to rest the front of his body on Ollie’s back. Goran had no idea where this was going until Luis swirled his fingers over Goran’s ass and tugged on the tail.

Every muscle in his body went rigid, and he tried to think quickly. He should be excited. Luis had a nice big dick, muscular arms, and a handsome face. But all Goran wanted was blond curls, blue eyes, and slim fingers. He meowed in protest, hoping he could slide out of all this while retaining the roleplaying.

Luis smiled gently but pulled Goran’s hips up, touching the inside of his thigh. “There, there. Be a good kitty, Smokey, and stay still,” he whispered, pulling on the plug. Goran yelped, shocked when it popped out of him.

Goran’s heart pounded, and all the lines they’d set up with Ollie were becoming a blur. He knew that if he wanted something, all he needed was to speak up, but the words weren’t coming. He promised Ollie they’d be exclusive.

Goran meowed desperately, torn between resigning to his fate and standing up for what he wanted. Too bad what he wanted would mean receiving a final strike. He should have seen that coming.

Ollie stared back at him, breathing so quickly he was getting close to hyperventilating, but he said nothing either, even though his eyes betrayed distress all too well. Oblivious, Luis brushed his thumb down Goran’s sensitive hole, and the slippery head of his dick poked Goran in the back of the thigh.

“No,” Goran choked out and turned around, facing Luis’s confusion. “I…”

Ollie gasped, slumping to the floor, and Goran’s heart sank. Behind Luis, he could see the serious expressions on the faces of his friends. The playroom went from playful to somber within such a brief moment that the newly thickened atmosphere was already choking him.

Luis blinked and slowly moved his hips away from Goran, flushing furiously. “Is everything fine? Does it hurt to be fucked after you’ve come?”

Goran could lie. He could say he was hurting after having the plug inside. He could say he was itching. Claim nausea or a fever. But it dawned on him that he could never keep up these charades for another three months. He swallowed and didn’t avoid Luis’s gaze anymore. He’d always said what was on his mind, and it got him in trouble so many times he should have learned better, but who would he be if he didn’t stand up for what he believed in?

“No, I’m sorry.” He looked between Luis and Ollie. “It’s me. I can’t be with anyone other than Oliver.” The confession felt so heavy around his neck he was finding it hard to breathe. “I mean… I can, but I don’t want to.” He couldn’t just say him and Ollie were exclusive, because he needed to give Ollie a way out if Ollie wanted one. After all, he too had two strikes on his tab. Deep down though, Goran hoped Ollie would follow his lead in this.

Ollie stared at them in stunned silence, his hands, still in the silly paw mittens, pressed against his chest. He swallowed, blinked, and shifted like a nervous puppy.

“It’s true, Master. They’ve been keeping to themselves lately,” said Cin, and Bounce seemed to want to say something, but Clove put a hand over his
mouth and shook his head.

Luis stared at Goran and Ollie, clenching his hands in silence for several seconds. It was difficult to watch the hurt in his eyes, but some things needed to be said. “Ollie, is that true?”

Ollie gave a strange sound reminiscent of a sob. “This is... unexpected,” he said in the end, glancing at Goran briefly, and underneath his tan, he was getting grey. “Luis, Goran is such a good cat. We all have so much fun in the cattery.”

Goran sighed, his shoulders slumping, and he couldn’t look back at Ollie without tears pushing at his eyes. “It’s fine, Oliver. It’s not your fault. And I’m sorry, Luis. I thought I could go on as usual, but I can’t.” All the emotions coming so soon after his recent orgasm were making him tired.

Luis bit his lip with a deep frown. “You do know what this means, right? I don’t have a choice here, Goran. It would be unfair to bend the rules for you.”

Ollie took a shuddery breath and crawled closer, moving stiffly like a mannequin. “But maybe we could come to some sort of agreement? Please, Luis?” he asked, looking deep into Luis’s eyes, but he winced when Cin pushed between the two of them.

“I thought we were all equal here.”

Luis rubbed his face. “It’s true. My hands are tied, Ollie.”

Goran’s heart was sinking by the second. Ollie wanted him here, sure, but he didn’t care enough for Goran to leave with him. He never had. Goran would give up a fortune for Ollie, but Ollie didn’t even want to give them a shot.

Goran wouldn’t take his words back either way. He’d earn the money somehow. His integrity was worth more than a hundred thousand bucks, but he still cringed at the thought of losing out on this chance. At least he wouldn’t let down his parents because they didn’t know about this gig anyway.

“I understand,” Goran said. “It’s late. Will you mind me staying until tomorrow?”

Luis shook his head quickly. “No, not at all. We’ll arrange the details. I… I’ll be going too for today,” he mumbled and got up, quickly grabbing his pants. “I’m sorry, Bounce.”

Bounce blinked several times, visibly deflated, and Goran felt like the worst person ever for spoiling his party. Bounce didn’t deserve this. The only person who deserved getting his party spoiled was Cin, and he didn’t seem that upset.

Ollie pressed his mouth shut and stared at the floor, kneading his hands at a rapid pace. It was as if the whole room had turned into a funeral parlor. Goran took off the cat ears and dropped them on the bed before walking out. His eyes stung so hard he couldn’t bear looking at anyone. He didn’t want to pressure Ollie for commitment, yet he still felt betrayed.

The tears started falling before he even got to the cat tree.

  Chapter 19

Acid burned Ollie’s throat as he grasped the toilet seat and puked until his body shook, unable to give anything more. His knees trembled, and with the spinning in his head, Ollie leaned against the wall as soon as he flushed the toilet. Gravity pulled him down to the wooden floor, and he just sat the way he slumped, resigned to the pain pulsing in his chest.

He’d never thought it would come to this. Maybe they shouldn’t have chosen exclusivity. This way, Goran could have stayed with Ollie a little longer. The rift between them was tangible, and with the way Goran had walked out of the playroom, Ollie already knew his presence wouldn’t be welcome anymore. He’d fucked up so bad. Goran sacrificed his payout because he didn’t want to betray Ollie, and Ollie just sat there, too paralyzed by fear to take a stand. He was pathetic. But yes, he was afraid. As long as he stayed at the cattery, life would go on as it always did, but there was no guarantee that his relationship with Goran could survive outside. They’d only known one another for two months, and as much as Ollie’s heart yearned for Goran, he knew that leaving with him would mean the end of Luis’s protection. In the cattery, Ollie was captured in a stable world that wouldn’t hurt him. Like a caterpillar, safe in a cocoon it would never need to leave.

A knock on the bathroom door made him stiffen. Goran?

“Ollie? Are you okay?” No, it was Clove.

Ollie shuddered and rubbed his face, unsure whether he wanted to see anyone. He almost wished it were all over. That all the cats left the cattery, and there would be no one to know what he did in the playroom. “I’m alive,” he said in the end, sawing his sore throat by talking.

“Can I come in?” Clove asked with a deep sigh.

Ollie swallowed hard and nodded. It took him half a second to realize Clove couldn’t see him, and he called out to him. “Yes.”

Clove slipped inside and closed the door behind him. The frown made him look concerned, a change from his usual disinterest. “What’s up? Did Goran say something to you?”

Ollie shook his head, and just thinking about Goran’s tense face had Ollie’s eyes burning with tears. “No... he left. I don’t think he wants to see me.”

Clove sighed and slid down the wall to sit next to Ollie. “I mean… You’ve made your choice.”

Ollie shrugged and put his face in his hands, not wanting Clove to see his face red and with pink freckle-like dots that always appeared on Ollie’s skin when he was sick. “It wasn’t supposed to happen. I don’t want him to leave.”

“You can only adjust your own actions, not other people’s. Goran has made his choice too.” Despite the frank words, Clove put his arm over Ollie’s shoulders.

“But if he leaves, I won’t see him again,” whimpered Ollie, more miserable by the second.

“Ollie… why are you still even here? Hasn’t it been over two years? Cin told me. What could have been so horrible about your life outside that you don’t want to leave here?”

Ollie gasped, choking on air. This was something he only shared with Goran. It was private. “I don’t want to talk about it. But there’s a reason why I’m here, okay?”

Clove took a deep breath and went silent, but his sole presence was soothing. It took a while before he spoke again. “I got tangled up in… I mean, let’s be honest, I did porn for a while. I felt more and more out of control. Started doing drugs every now and then. I wouldn’t say I was addicted, but the whole environment I was in was messing me up. So when I found this opportunity at the cattery, I went in headfirst. I disappeared. Detox, clean slate, and with money at the end. Win-win.” He rubbed his thumb over Ollie’s trembling shoulder. “What I want to say is that whatever you left behind in the outside world, that was two years ago. I know that when I finish my time here, I will be a new person, and the circumstances will be different. Goran gave up all that money to stay true to a promise. I think it counts for him wanting to build something with you outside.”

Ollie shuddered, and guilt ate at him with a blazing force. He was physically hurting at the thought of making Goran so miserable. The connection they forged had formed so quickly and yet felt more raw and real than anything else Ollie ever shared. With anyone.

He swallowed hard, catching Clove’s gaze again. “It’s not easy to trust people. Everyone out there wants to get you.”

“What do you get from being here though? Peace and quiet? Is this what you want out of life? Because if it is, I’m wasting my breath.”

Ollie sniffled and slowly touched Clove’s hand. His heart was working so quickly he was getting lightheaded. He was missing Goran already, even though they hadn’t really parted yet. His thoughts returned to the night when they went out into town together. His intentions had been far from clean, but he ended up enjoying the freedom of walking around among people. Goran made him feel safe.

“Are you not afraid that your former friends are gonna pull you into the stuff that you ran away from?” he asked in the end.

Clove shook his head. “I cut those ties by coming here. If you left today, would you go back to the life you lived, or would you start something new, no matter how hard and intimidating that would be?” It sounded like a rhetorical question, yet the answer didn’t seem as straightforward.

  Ollie looked at him an
d shrugged. “I would go with Goran,” he whispered.

Clove’s lips curved into a warm smile, a rarity on his face. “There you go.”

Ollie slumped against the wall and stared at the tiles across from them. The ice that had been already forming clumps in his veins was now rapidly melting. “Where is he?”

Clove gave Ollie a kiss on the cheek. “In the cat tree.”

  Chapter 20

Ollie ran through the garden, air and the menthol aroma of toothpaste burning his lungs as he approached the huge form of the cat tree with its numerous rooms and walkways. His first instinct was to call out Goran’s name, but his lips sealed when he thought that Goran might as well try to avoid him and pretend he wasn’t there at all.

In the bright light of the stars above, Ollie approached one of the entrances and crawled inside. His knees sunk into the padded floor, but he was only interested in finding Goran. Although certain Goran would be hiding somewhere on the top floor, he still crawled through one of the corridors to look for any signs of Goran.

Having found none, Ollie climbed the ladder, then a soft tunnel, carefully avoiding the room with the plastic balls where he would make too much noise. But as he was approaching the top of the cat tree, his whole body froze.

High-pitched sobs reached his ears, and even though he didn’t want to believe it, his heart already knew it was Goran. He looked up at the see-through bottom of the room above. His stomach turned into a series of knots when he thought of what Goran could be thinking right now. From Goran’s perspective, he’d sacrificed this opportunity for a guy who bailed on him. Even knowing the truth, Ollie sensed a bitter taste in his mouth. Guilt was eating him up, but he needed to act. This wasn’t time for freezing like a terrified rabbit and waiting for the fox to get them both.
