Sunlight streamed into the back of the vehicle and Hawk tried to stretch out. He’d been cramped for most of the night and truth be told, slept very little. But each time he woke, Roxanne's scent rolled over him and comforted him in such bliss that he reminded himself of all they had together and dozed back to sleep listening to her even breathing.
But now, damn, now he needed to get out and stretch his legs. As gently as he could, he sat up and reached to the back of the SUV for the handle to the hatch. Roxanne's arms rose above her, then her back arched as she stretched and the sight of her bountiful breasts straining toward him captured his attention. Leaning down he nipped her right breast through her clothing, and she giggled. Her arms wrapped around his head holding him close to her. Inhaling her scent once more, he lifted his head and kissed his wife good morning. Something he relished each day. Especially since he’d never dared let himself dream that he'd have a wife again. Before Roxanne, after Sarah had been killed, life had been his work. Life had been running from mission to mission and not looking back. Shooting guns, working out, especially after he'd been shot, and getting back out there.
Then he and Wyatt walked into Roxanne's parents’ home on a mission and there she was. At first, she was terrified but defiant, nonetheless. Sassy, sultry, sad and impatient. But, she never stopped believing her parents deserved having their killer brought to justice. She wasn't willing to sit back and let the authorities find their killer. She refused to let GHOST handle it alone. She pushed until GHOST let her be part of the investigation. She was going to be part of it all the way. And she was until her parents’ killer was taken down. She was also perfect for him.
"How did you sleep?" she whispered in his ear.
"Not great but enough." He kissed his way along her jaw and to her ear, circling his tongue around the shell of her ear as she sighed, and her hands roamed over his body. He relished this, too. She craved him as much as he craved her.
He moved his body over hers as best he could in the cramped space. His body forgot feeling cramped as Roxanne's body wiggled against him. Now the only thing that was uncomfortable was his cock, stuck inside his jeans and getting harder by the second.
Roxanne scooted toward the front, so her head rested between the bucket seats allowing him more room. Without a word, she unzipped her jeans and shimmied them down and he was a willing participant to the strip show. Her narrow waist and hips wriggled as she pushed her jeans down, puling first her right leg from her jeans, then her left. His eyes were glued to the soft curly white hairs between her legs as they came into view and his cock throbbed painfully wanting to be there. Right there.
She scooted her jeans and panties aside then rolled up on her elbows and began thankfully unfastening his jeans, which felt absolutely heavenly. As the zipper slid down and the pressure relaxed against him, he thought of the miracle of denim in its ability to hold together against that pressure. He shifted to shove his jeans down his hips with Roxanne's eager hands touching him, massaging him and handling him which rendered him weak. In her hands he was in her control.
He lifted himself over her and she eagerly slid her right leg under him, so he now rested between her silky, long legs. His legs were bent at the knee, his feet up, but right now, he didn't care, he'd suffer.
Sliding into her easily, his eyes practically rolled back in his head as her warmth surrounded him and fisted him tightly. Her soft moans of pleasure were a song he never wanted to forget, her hands caressing his back and then griping his ass as he pushed himself into her were simply perfection.
He plunged into her again and again, urged on by her sounds of pleasure and the pure ecstasy on her face. Her gorgeous blue eyes opened to stare into his and her lips parted in the softest of smiles and he was unable to hold back any longer.
"You need to come, Roxanne, I can't go much..."
Her hips rose and lowered faster as she increased her speed and he struggled to keep himself from letting go to give her pleasure, but holy fuck, it was the hardest thing he'd do today, without doubt.
She cried out in his ear and he let go, jerking and shaking as his seed filled her, their pleasure immeasurable.
Roxanne sighed in his ear and her arms circled around his waist and squeezed him to her. Unable to move much, he managed to squeeze his arms to her sides and hold her close to him while he caught his breath and breathed her in.
Clapping outside of the vehicle startled them, and he jerked his head to look out the side window to see two men standing outside the vehicle looking in at them.

Roxanne's head jerked up as she stared out the window at the two men clapping and laughing in at them.
"Oh, my God. Oh, my gawd." She froze unsure what to do now. There was very little they could do to get themselves righted while these jerks were watching them.
Hawk reached over to his left and pulled the blanket up over them to cover their bodies and Roxanne struggled to find her jeans and panties.
"Hey..." He waited for her to stop panicking and she stopped thrashing around to look into his eyes.
"It's okay. We're married and not doing anything wrong and, frankly, it's rude of them to watch, then clap."
"I know, but how embarrassing just the same."
"They should be embarrassed and if they saw you naked, I'm going to kill them. Other than that, You. Have. Nothing. Too. Be. Embarrassed. About. You're perfection."
She lay back a minute to bask in the glow of Hawk's praise. Praise that she didn't need but loved just the same. His green eyes were such a beautiful contrast to his olive skin and dark hair. His strength and power were certainly an attractive quality for a man, but his soul shone through his eyes and he had a beautiful soul.
She whispered, "Thank you."
His lips touched hers once again, softly, then he smiled at her. "Get yourself righted as much as you can, then I'm opening the door and sliding out of here and having two assholes for breakfast."
She laughed. "God, I hope not."
He chuckled. "I'm going to certainly chew on them some though. Then, I'm going to ask them how they got here, and then they can give us a jump start and we'll be on our way."
"Oh, yes. For sure." Her hopes lifted at the thought of being able to check into a hotel and shower. As great as last night was, they hadn't slept well, especially Hawk. She heard him trying to get comfortable while not waking her, and she felt bad. Maybe today they'd just find a place with a pool and chill after she saw where he lived when he was a little boy.
She reached down into her go bag, and pulled out the baby wipes, handed the wipes to Hawk and they both cleaned up and dressed as much as they could laying down. Hawk opened the hatch and stepped out first. The two guys had begun to walk down to the water, fishing poles on their shoulders and tackle box in their free hands.
Hawk yelled "Hey."
They stopped and turned to him while Roxanne scooted out of the Explorer and tucked in her shirt and zipped up her jeans. She remained at the back of the SUV while Hawk walked toward them. She did manage to look around the vehicle to see the fear in their eyes as they took in all of Hawk's badass self. Muscles on top of muscles, tattoos up his arms, the stern look he could plaster on his face when needed and she knew without a doubt, they'd be on the road in no time.
She listened as he told them to go get the truck they came in and bring it closer, then snickered slightly when the shorter of the two men jogged past her toward where the truck was parked.
She folded the blanket, cleaned up the items strewn about from her hasty digging for the baby wipes, then prepared to get back on the road. Checking the area around their fire she made sure they hadn't left any garbage laying around and checked the fire.
She stood staring at the lone log in the middle of the fire ring checking to see if it was indeed out. Hands clamped onto her shoulders from behind and a pair of soft lips brushed close to her ears.
"There's a tiny ember of heat in there, watch this."
Hawk leaned down and threw a couple of dried leaves on the log, gently blew a couple of times and damned if they didn't smolder then slowly burn.
The shorter man drove up in the truck, and parked next to her SUV; the other man then quickly came over to the vehicle with the jumper cables he’d pulled from the backseat of the truck and started to set them up in front.
Hawk kissed her ear, then walked to the SUV and lifted the hood. She watched the muscles in his back bunch and stretch as he hooked up the cables to the battery in the SUV and smiled. She was lucky.
Popping and cracking sounds caught her attention and she looked down at the fire she stood next to and damn it if it hadn't come roaring to life. She was going to have to serve Hawk breakfast in bed naked.

The battery jump worked, and he watched the two men closely as they packed up their battery cables and scurried down to the river to commence their fishing for the day. He'd been irritated that they'd spoiled the mood this morning, but then the thought of help came to him and he leapt at the chance of getting these guys to jump start the battery.
When he'd called to them as they walked down to the river, a couple things hit him at once. They were young and so likely enjoyed watching them have sex. When they saw how much bigger he was than both of them, the fear that showed on their faces was comical. And if he were honest, when he was younger, he likely would have done the same thing. Boys!
Roxanne had the SUV packed up and ready to go by the time the cables were put away by the peeping Toms. She'd moved around to the back of the SUV once the cables were attached and stayed there, embarrassed as she was, which was cute. When he'd jumped in the vehicle, turned the key and it started, he looked in the rearview mirror and saw the smile on her face as she stood at the back then closed the hatch.
He knew she was pseudo hiding back there as she quickly hopped into the passenger seat. He chuckled, waved the guys off and they made their great escape. He turned the vehicle, and as he backed up, his eyes caught the fire burning in the ring. He put the vehicle in park, got out and grabbed the remaining water they had, doused the fire, then dropped the plastic container, as well as their water bottles, in the backseat floor before climbing back in to take off.
It was quiet as they drove down the dirt road until the road became paved once again. His phone chimed a text, then a flurry of them came through. Roxanne's, too. They finally had cell service again. Civilization.
Roxanne began answering some of her texts but was interrupted when he started laughing just before they neared the highway.
"What are you laughing at?"
"I won."
"No, you didn't. The fire went out."
"No, it didn't. It didn't burn as bright, but it didn't go out. Luna, you're going to be serving me breakfast in bed in the buff and I can't wait."
Her brows furrowed just a bit and she went back to her phone. He turned onto the highway, a bit sad that their alone time was now in the past and they were back in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the world. The more he thought about a farm with some animals and being out in the country the more he felt himself settle.
They neared the county line and Roxanne said, "You know, northern Kentucky has beautiful little farms. That isn't too far from the GHOST compound - maybe less than two hours. We could look for a small farm in a location we love, spend our off time there fixing it up and making it what we want it to be and once you are ready to live there permanently, we can then add the animals."
He glanced at her phone and she had a real estate site up, looking at farms in the northern Kentucky area. Looking toward the road then back once again at Roxanne what he saw in her eyes was love.
"You sure you'd like that?"
"I'm absolutely sure of it. You painted a lovely picture last night of spending our time on a farm. Raising animals and living an easier life. Every time I woke up last night I thought of it. There are a couple for sale now that we could take a look at."
He swallowed and then tapped his right turn signal to exit the highway at the off ramp. Reaching the gas station at the bottom of the exit ramp, he pulled to the side of the parking lot and looked over at Roxanne's phone as she showed him a couple of the properties for sale.
"Are you saying you don't want to continue to Florida but instead head back toward home and look at a couple of these properties?"
"Let’s go see where you grew up, then, yes, let's do that. All we'll do is lay around in Florida on the beach and wish we were doing something for ourselves. Not that relaxing isn't for ourselves, but, Hawk, this would be for us. For our future. And you don't have to leave GHOST until you're absolutely ready, but in the meantime, when we can be together, we'll take the time to stay at our place. One we own."
His eyes actually teared up. His. Eyes. Teared. Up. What the hell? His heart beat faster, and he swallowed the lump in this throat.
"Luna..." He had to halt and gather his feelings together.
She twisted in her seat, so she faced him head on. "You’re in your forties and I turn 40 in a few months. We have to look toward the future and what we want. Honestly, I love living at the compound and our friends there. I do. But, you're right, we can't live there forever. Actually, none of us can. And Jax and Dodge, Ford and Megan, Lincoln and Skye live off site now. As the babies come the place is going to fill up and things are going to change. Wyatt and Yvette are building next door to the compound, and if you want to find something closer so work is easier and we’re nearer to our friends, I'm great with that, too! What matters though is that we do have a place for just us. Friends and family will visit, and we'll want them to, but then when they all leave, it's our place."
“Running a farm is a lot different from practicing law are you sure you’d want to make such a change?”
“Well, moving from the Washington, D. C. area to Lynyrd Station and practicing law there so I could be with you was quite a change. And I certainly don’t have any regrets.”
He leaned in and kissed his gorgeous, thoughtful, smart wife. "Make some appointments, Luna, you're in the driver's seat."
Epilogue
One Year Later
Location: Southern Indiana close to the Kentucky border one and a half hours from Lynyrd Station at the little farm they'd named "Hawk's Haven.”
Roxanne woke up and sighed. Glancing at her sleeping giant of a husband, she smiled as she watched him. He could look so scary and menacing when he wanted to, but in slumber, he had a boyish handsome face.
As gently as she could, she slipped from their bed and grabbed her silk robe from the chair by the door. Quietly she slipped from the room and went down the hall to the kitchen. She'd had a breakfast bake made and had put it in the refrigerator last night. So, she preheated the oven as she made the coffee. Once the oven had preheated, she slid their breakfast inside, set the timer and set about making them some fresh squeezed orange juice. She'd managed to find this old-fashioned juicer at a resale shop a few weeks ago, much to Hawk's amusement, but it reminded her of the one her grandmother had had when she was a child. She'd brought it home, cleaned it up and it had found its home on one of the wooden shelves since that day.
As she sliced the oranges in half, and squeezed the juice and pulp into glasses, the timer went off for their breakfast bake. The aromas in the kitchen were delightful and the smile on her face was one of bliss. That was the only word that came to mind right now. Bliss.
She pulled plates from the cupboard and arranged a healthy portion of breakfast bake on Hawk's plate, less for hers, then she placed sliced strawberries, and some orange and apple slices on each of their plates. She filled their cups with coffee and a dash of creamer and poured their orange juices, then got the silverware and napkins. Loading this all on a tray, she walked to the bedroom eager to see Hawk's face. He'd been surprised to learn she could cook. He'd been surprised to learn she could decorate. He'd been surprised to see her restore, furniture pieces into stunning remakes. Today would be the biggest
surprise of all, that was a fact. They’d been working on their little farmhouse over weekends when they could for the past year and one of these days, they’d live here permanently, but for now, it was their part-time haven.
Stopping at the door to the bedroom, she set the tray on a bench in the hall took her robe off and lay it on the bench to the side, picked up the tray and entered the bedroom.
The sun had come up and streamed in through the windows. They'd left the blinds open last night because he loved waking up to the sunshine when they didn't have to work. The room was painted a soft sage green and all the furniture was white. Two comfortable chairs were arranged across from the bed between the two windows in the room. They often sat in these chairs in the morning drinking their coffee, checking email or reading the paper. They'd enjoyed fixing up this little place.
Hawk sat up and the white and green striped sheets pooled around his waist, but his impressive chest was bare and beautiful. His eyes followed her across the room as she carried their breakfast to the bed. Setting the tray in the middle of the bed, she then carefully climbed back in bed and reached forward to hand Hawk his plate.
He smiled at her, which was such a beautiful sight to see. Hawk rested and happy was a glorious sight. He took a bite of his food and smiled.
"Delicious."
"Thank you. Fresh squeezed orange juice."
He twisted so he was looking at her. His eyes wandered down her torso and landed on her breasts and just the way he looked at her made her nipples pebble. He noticed as well, because he leaned over and sucked one of her nipples into his mouth and she squeaked a bit.
