"Sure." She replies handing it to me in the back seat. I dial Marta's number and she picks up after the second ring.

  "Hello?"

"Hey, it's me. I just met the man of your dreams. He's a doctor with dark blonde hair and blue eyes."

  "Where?"

"At the doctors I broke my wrist."

"Again? You're such a klutz." She laughs.

I let her laughter wash over me. "I miss you." I say.

"Miss you too. When are you coming back?"

  "Couple days."

"How's your real family?" She asks and I can hear her crying softly.

"You'd love them, especially Jessica. Next time you need to come with me." I hear her hiccup. "Marta it’s fine. Don't cry it's not your fault." Trying to think of a way to cheer her up I tell her, "I had to distract Lennox from attacking another alpha."

She stops crying and giggles, "What'd you do?"

"I put my shirt over his head, while I was still wearing it." I grumble.

She laughs. "I would've killed to see that!"

Loving that she's happy again I add, "There's more."

  "No way." She says, amused.

"It was in front of my dad." I wince remembering.

"You can never leave home without me ever again!"

I chuckle. "Agreed." I see that we're pulling up to the house. "I love you, sis."

  "Love you too."

"I'll call you tomorrow." I assure her.

  "Okay, bye."

"Bye." I hang up and give the phone back to my mom as the car stops. I move to open the door, but Lennox opens it for me.

  "That took entirely too long."

"Did you find anything?" I ask, almost afraid to know the answer.

"Nothing yet." He picks up my wrist. "I'll kill whoever did this."

"I'm pretty sure I already did." Andrew says from behind Lennox. "We're ready to get started on the next interrogation."

"Don't leave the house." Lennox tells me.

"I won't. I'm tired I'll probably go lay down." He walks us inside and kisses my head before I walk up the staircase to our room.

I close the door to our bedroom behind me. Grabbing a change of clothes I take a bath, I'm careful of my cast and neck. Relaxing against the back of the tub, I can feel myself getting sleepy so I get out and dry off. I dress quickly and drag myself to bed, snuggling under the covers I fall asleep.

I wake up when the sun is just starting to rise. I slept through all day yesterday. I look to Lennox side and notice it’s untouched. I use the toilet, thanking God I only have three day periods. I walk downstairs quietly, I know if Lennox didn't come to bed he's still with my dad and Andrew. I knock on the office door already knowing they're behind it. "Come in." I hear dad’s tired voice. I open the door and smell the stale coffee.

"Have you been up all night?" I ask, worried. Going to the couch where Lennox and Andrew are sitting.

"Yeah." Dad answers. "We don't have any real leads."

"That's bullshit. Talk to Rachel. She was seen with two of the four wolves we killed." Andrew states, irritated.

"I told you Rachel wouldn't do this!" Dad roars, standing up.

"Then talk to her! Get her story!" Andrew shouts back, still managing to look relaxed.

Lennox pulls me into his lap holding me tightly. I can see my father's anger. I hate to side with Andrew, but he's right. I don't think it’s Rachel, but it wouldn't hurt to talk to her. She might have heard something and doesn't even realize it.

"We're talking to her." Lennox states looking straight at dad. Finally, dad nods in understanding.

"I'll get her." Dad replies, heavy hearted and leaves the room.

"Why does he look so sad? Rachel wouldn't be a part of this." I say.

"She did it. He knows it too." Andrew responds.

I look at him. "You can't possibly know that."

He raises an eyebrow at me. "You're entirely too sweet and innocent." He replies, smirking.

I look at Lennox who looks distracted. "Do you think she did it?" I ask him.

  "She did it." He nods.

  "Why? I whisper, shocked.

He doesn't reply but looks to the door questionably. Dad comes back in. "She's gone." He says, holding a piece of paper.

"Of course she is." Andrew says, holding out his hand for the paper. Dad gives it to him and I watch as he reads it. "Ouch, she's harsh." Andrew hands the paper to Lennox.

Lennox holds it front of us and we both read.

Dad, yes, it was me. I tried to have them both killed. I enjoyed every day that bitch you call a wife suffered from losing her previous baby. Now, she's back and I can't have that. You only have yourself to blame. Did you once think of my mother before you moved on to that whore?

I want you to suffer I want the whole family to suffer. It will happen, I'll have my way very soon.

She wants my mom and dad to suffer for betraying her mom? "I thought your first mate passed away?"

"She did. She died giving birth to Rachel, Jenna is the only mother she's ever known." Dad answers, looking completely worn out.

"You need rest. All of you need rest."

"We're meeting Rhys in a couple hours." Dad responds, yawning.

"Do you want me to make you breakfast?" I question, instead of arguing with them.

"No, I'm fine." Dad responds still looking lost.

Lennox stands up and carries me out of the room. "What are you doing?"

  "Going to bed."

"That's a good idea, but I just got up." I say, hoping he puts me down.

He smirks. "Me too." I gasp at him. We can't have sex in my parents’ house! The woods sure, but not the house!

He opens the door with me still in his arms. "Can't you wait until we're back at home?" I ask, whispering.

"No, I can't wait." He replies, sounding so truthful I can't help but smile. He lays down on his back leaving me sitting up and straddling his waist. His fingers run up my thighs under my shorts. "You teased me in the woods."

  I blush. "I did."

"Take off your clothes." He orders. "Slowly."

I hesitate only a second before I start lifting the hem of my shirt. I go slowly, letting it caress my skin before pulling it off completely. I watch his eyes darken and shift to climb off of him to get rid of the rest of my clothes. I feel his eyes on me as I lower my shorts and underwear, stepping out of them. I hear him move taking off his shirt and sliding down his pants. He grabs me by the waist and brings me back over him, pulling me down to kiss him. His soft lips and warm mouth dominate mine, making me want him desperately. He sits up and I have no choice but to follow still kissing him. His hands lift me by my butt and lowers me slowly on his hardness. I break the kiss moaning loudly, nearly coming apart when his mouth finds his mark on the good side of my neck.

I rock back and forth and he lays back down. He watches me above him and helps move my hips in time with his own thrusts. When his fingers find my pleasure point I scream his name. By the time we're done I start to hear movement in the house and everyone waking up. I collapse on his chest and he carries me into the shower. I stand with my arm out of the spray, preserving my cast as he washes my body.

  Could You Be Any Louder?

Lennox changes the bandage on my neck and it’s around nine o'clock when we leave our room. We start walking to the stairs when both Jessica and Andrew come out of their rooms.

"Really, sis?" Jessica asks, eyebrow raised and smiling widely.

  "What?" I ask, confused.

"He can't be that good?" Andrew states joining the conversation. I feel my cheeks burn. Are they talking about what I think they're talking about?

"I don't think she could have been any louder." Jessica laughs at my discomfort.

  "I-didn't, um..."

"You're wrong you should hear her in the shower." Lennox says, grabbing my hand and moving us forward.

  Jessica
laughs even harder and Andrew remarks, "I think she was faking it."

"Obviously, you're not used to hearing a woman's pleasure. Does it sound like she was in control of herself?" Lennox growls, turning toward Andrew. Not again, I roll my eyes turn to Jessica who finally looks serious.

Andrew steps up to Lennox, getting in his face. Instinctively, I grab Lennox's arm and try to push Andrew away. "Knock it off. Why do you always have to mess with him?" I question, exasperated. Lennox gently moves me away.

"I think it's about time we end this." Lennox threatens.

  "Let's go." Andrew nods.

"Don't you two have to go meet Rhys in like twenty minutes?" Jessica asks, nervously.

Lennox and Andrew start to walk down the stairs. I look at Jessica for some help. "So, he's good? What's your favorite position?" She asks, calmly smiling triumphantly when Lennox stops on the second step.

"We haven't tried them all, but is the wall a position?" I inquire catching on and smirking back.

"We'll count it. What do you really what to try?"

"I've always wanted to be tied up, but Marta says that doggy sty-" I feel Lennox wrap his arms around me. I ignore him and continue my conversation.

"I don't know about being tied up. I think I'd want to do the tying." Jessica winks.

"Either would be nice. Lennox has this indent on his stomach, I swear I could lick it for hours." I almost laugh when I hear his loud groan. I watch as Andrew storms down the steps and turn to Lennox. "No, fighting." I say, looking up at him.

"You won't always be around to distract me." He warns.

"Lennox, let's go! I can't take any more of that conversation! This morning was enough!" Dad yells from the kitchen. I hear Josh and Jason laughing. Mortified I cover my face.

"Why can't I be quiet?" I grumble. I try to fight Lennox about going down, but he just laughs and picks me up. At the bottom of the stairs he sets me down, keeping my head down we walk into the kitchen. The table is full and there are men standing around, I guess dad is taking a lot of men with him. I just hope they haven't been here long. Mom is busy at the stove, so I go to offer help.

"What can I do?" I ask.

"Can you butter the toast? But wash your hands. We know where they've been." She teases, the room erupting in laughter.

I bite my lip and wash my one good hand. Brenda is already at the toaster. "How's the hand?" She questions as I stand beside her.

  "Its fine, thanks."

"I'm sorry about Rachael. You know it's not your fault." She says, sympathetically.

"She seems confused and lost. How could she resent my mom so much?"

Brenda glances at my mom and back to me. Mom steps over to us. She looks almost guilty about something.

"Let's move. I want to be there as soon as the bastard lands." Dads voice booms across the room, stoping anything mom was going to say.

We stand there watching them leave. Lennox turns to me and I blow him a kiss. He smiles and walks out the door.

When the last man leaves mom clears her throat. "It's my fault. Rachel was a very demanding child. Who could blame her? For a year it was just her, Travis and T. When I came into the picture I took them away from her. She was loving at first, then I had you and lost you. I wasn't the mother I should have been and Travis was the same. We were devastated, we mourned. Essentially, we ignored Rachel and wallowed in our grief. Then I got pregnant with the twins and they became my focus, then Jessica." I nod getting the picture.

"So, she didn't feel loved and ended to resenting the whole family?"

"Yes, it's not that I didn't see it. I knew she was disappointed in me as a mother and Travis as a father. But I wouldn't expect this of her. However, it doesn't surprise me either. I've seen her nastiness and I tried to talk to Travis about it. He never listened, he'd give her whatever she asked for, trying to make it better. I told him, it's not like she was neglected, but he insisted on making up for our behavior towards her. Nothing ever changed, she would be sweet one minute and spitting nails the next."

I feel sorry for her yet she's trying to hurt my family. It's hard to be that sympathetic. She's a grownup she should be able to see that her father and "mother" love her. Even if they weren't what she expected them to be as parents, she's old enough to know they were hurting and trying their best.

"You shouldn't look so guilty. She's old enough to see what she's doing is wrong. That you tried your best and that you love her." I say, giving her a hug.

She hugs me back. "It still hurts that she thinks so badly of us. I know Travis is taking it hard and I don't know how to help him." She cries.

"Oh, Jenna. Just being there for him is all he needs. He'll cope with it in time. It's just a shock, T is the same way." Brenda replies.

"How long do you think this will take?" I question, watching the entry way.

"Who knows? I don't know what his plans are for Chris Rhys." mom answers, wiping her tears. Jessica comes dancing into the room. "Where did you go?"

"To watch Adrian leave." She answers, sighing.

I laugh. "Your crush, I take it?"

  "Nope, I love him."

"He's too old for you." Brenda scoffs.

"He is not he's perfect." She replies defensively.

Brenda rolls her eyes and looks at me smiling. "He's the biggest man-whore in the pack."

I try not to laugh at Jessica's appalled face. "If you weren't pregnant with my niece I'd clobber you."

"Ohhh, I'm so scared." Brenda responds mockingly.

Mom ignores them and sits down to eat. I join her. "Aren't you nervous?" I ask, worried about Lennox.

"Your father is the second scariest man I've ever met. He knows what he's doing. He even has two alphas behind him, he'll be fine." She smiles.

I can't stop thinking about it. I don't want anyone getting hurt. "Who's the scariest man you've ever met?" I question, trying to think about something else.

  "Alpha Lennox Hall." She states.

"He's not that scary." I reply, surprised she thinks he's scary.

She looks at me like I'm crazy. "Trust me, that man can be terrifying. It took me a while to get used to him."

"Andrew doesn't seem to think so. He's constantly challenging him." I say, frustrated.

"Andrew is a strong alpha, he doesn't like not getting and what he wants. All alphas are like that. It's the chase, it’s the fact that they can't have it all that drives them crazy. He's jealous of your relationship with Lennox. Lennox would win in a fight, but it would be a good fight. Not like Lennox's usual fights. Andrew can hold his own, that's why it's best if they don't fight. If they're allies it's beneficial to all three packs.

"He's not as scary as he used to be. You've changed him, he looks more relaxed." Jessica adds, coming to the table. "He even smiles and laughs."

  Alpha Lennox Hall

I don't want to leave Jocelyn, but I know she's safe. Rachel isn't anywhere near us, she went where Travis and I don't have any influence. Rachel might not be completely stable, but she's not stupid. She'd pick a pack we’re not allies with and ask for protection.

We get to the air strip just in time to see a small plane a lot like mine land. I know we don't need all the men we brought with us, but Travis likes to look very intimidating and menacing. Word of this meeting will make its way through the packs and image is everything.

The doors open and three men get out shoving a tall skinny man in front of them. Chris Rhys doesn't look scared or angry about his son’s betrayal, merely resigned to the fact he's going to die today.

Travis, Andrew and I walk towards the four men, meeting them half way. "It's been a long time Chris." Travis says, almost politely.

He nods. "How have you been? How's Jenna?"

"She's happy to have our daughter back." He replies, for the first time I hear his barely contained rage.

"But you lost another I heard." Chris says smugly.

"I guess we know where Rachael went." Andrew states amused.

"Tell me what you know and I'll kill you quickly." Travis offers.

"She's in Canada. From what I heard she said she was making her way into the Red Wolf Pack." Rhys replies.

"She's smart, I'll give her that." I say. The Red Wolf Pack is as large as mine. They stick to themselves and refuse outsiders on their land. They've never been in a feud with another pack, simply because an attack on their lands would be a disaster. The land is rugged, it would be like attacking in the dark, not knowing where or what to expect.

"I just hope she stays there." Travis replies, tiredly. "That's all you know?"

"She came to Brett for help. She wanted to mate with him and discuss attacking your pack. She is convinced she knows where your pack is weak and could take you out. She even talked to other packs and tried to make allies for a possible strike."

"What were the results?" I ask.

"She didn't get anyone to bite." He answers.

"I didn't get any phone calls." Travis replies seriously.

"No one wants to get involved in your family problems. She sounded like a spoiled brat talking to Brett. Just like the rest of the alphas, Brett told her no and to get off his land. When she left she said she didn't care, that the Red Wolves were going to help her. No one is taking her seriously and I doubt the red wolf pack will either."

"How did she even get on their land? They're not known for their hospitality." Andrew asks.

Rhys shrugs and we all share a look. He doesn't know anything else. I know what's coming, so when Travis ends the conversation I'm not surprised.

"Let's go." Travis says, motioning for Chris to walk ahead of us. As soon as we take two steps Travis grabs Chris head from behind and twists it to the side snapping his neck it seconds. His body fails and Travis orders the three men that brought him here to take him back home.

We stand by the cars discussing options regarding Rachel's revenge plot. Our only real course of action is to call Alpha Renoir of the Red Wolf Pack. "Do you think he was telling the truth?" Travis asks.
