Thank you ALL for supporting this amazing series with these characters I love. When I was working with a partner on figuring out the plotline, it became obvious that I could only take the series so far. I had to stop it before it ran on too long.

Well, I have some bad news —and some good news.
This is the end of Brownstone…and yet, NOT the end.
I’m planning on something loosely (very loosely) based on the buddy films of a long time ago, where Brownstone goes on the road to find BBQ and stuff happens. Stuff that requires him to use a sufficient amount of force to save a locality…and BBQ.
These stories will arrive about every three months, so please be on the lookout!
Just a note—I hope we are about…eighteen days?? Or so (I am going to need to look at a calendar) from Bethany Anne coming out. Just saying, it should be in the next few weeks.

I would like to introduce LMBPN reading fan RVingPsychic, who wrote these notes while in Jacksonville, Florida (If I have comments, they are at the end of their responses.)
M: About how many books do you read a year, or total in your lifetime?
R: 300-500 a year (Mike: Ok, kicks my ass completely. That’s like 25 to 40+ a month. Not in my best month did I read that many.)
M: Name your favorite LMBPN Series or Character(s) and what you like about them.
R: Bethany Anne the original series, and Federation Witch is also high up on the list. (Mike: Awesome! I’m happy that I was able to create a series where I didn’t kill off the parents and yet fans got into the character.)
M: If you made up an LMBPN Character, what three attributes would you use? (For Example, Bethany Anne is about Justice, Family (including friends), and Coca Cola. Brownstone is Keeping it Simple, Respect, and BBQ)
R: Strength, Justice, and love of animals (Mike – I might have to handle the animals thing a bit different than how I started Brownstone – Although he does love his dog(s).)
M: Tell us a few short sentences about yourself and your reading hobby (When did you start reading, why, how much do you read, and preferred genre's, etc. (as ideas)):
R: I started when I was about 4 and have never stopped. I actually love fantasy, SciFi, and Paranormal, but I will read anything that grabs my attention, including non-fiction.
I love falling into a story and being a part of it.
M: You can have my
R: Anything! Reading is super important. (Mike: Yeah, I feel you, but I might have a couple of things someone can’t have before reading. Not that any come to mind at the moment.)
M: Place you have loved to read the most in your life —best memory(s) (mine was as a teenager at my grandparents’ house under the feather bed on cold days.)
R: Laying on a blanket on a warm day under a tree. (Mike: I’ve done this one time at my house in Katy – It had the PERFECT ring for my head to rest… I fell asleep.)
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS
One of the interesting (at least to me) aspects of my life is the ability to work from anywhere and at any time. In the future, I hope to re-read my own Author Notes and remember my life as a diary entry.
WHERE AM I?

So, I’m at my desk typing this for tomorrow’s release, having just had a full day of conference calls (some for stories, some for business operations) and having read the beats for the new Animus book Joshua is writing and a scene from Elaine Bateman’s upcoming book.
Tomorrow, I get to sit in on a consulting meeting where an individual from San Diego is going to suggest ways to do better selling paperbacks. I’m looking forward to the discussions, and I hope they have some new info we can use!
Selling paperbacks is a tough business, and (so far) there has been very little money in it for us.
