Dimensions of Genesis Page 18

by Q. Lee, Danielle

  “Gabe!”

Lily jumped onto the bed and since she couldn't really touch him, she just pretended to cuddle with him. Snuggling into his back, she whispered out loud, “I miss you.”

Gabe moved restlessly, and then replied in his unconscious state. “I miss you so much Lily.”

Ecstatic that she'd learned a way to communicate with her loved ones, she sat up and smiled. Relief swept through her as she realized she no longer had to be alone anymore. Even though it was a diminished existence compared to what she'd had while alive, she was thrilled at this point to have contact with anyone!

Gabe moaned lightly in his sleep as he shifted positions. Moving from his left side to his back, he moved his right arm up over his head. As he did, someone else moved on the far side of the bed.

Long curly hair cascaded over the pillow. Tendrils of light-colored tresses streamed elegantly from her head.

In shock, tears began to run down Lily's face, “That's just like my hair...and the only other person that I know with hair like mine is...Quinn.”

  Field Trip

  “This way David.” Michael called.

Acres of lush green grass surrounded them as they walked to the center of a meadow. The air embraced David, hugging him close to Heaven's atmosphere. A rosy haze of condensation hung in the air making the sky appear as though it were blushing.

“Where are we going?” David asked as they strolled through the field. It would've been too dangerous for Michael to transport David at his usual angelic pace, so they chose to take the slow, scenic route.

“Here.” Michael grinned as he stopped and looked back at David, who'd been trailing behind the tall angel.

“Oh.” David responded with a smile, his blue eyes shining as he looked around, wondering what could be so special about this exact spot.

Michael gave David a funny look, like he should know where they were. David returned a confused look.

“Field trip...you know...field.” Michael laughed heartily, his deep voice booming through the sky like thunder.

David, finally getting the joke, shook his head and laughed with the chuckling angel.

“Okay,” Michael said as he wiped away an imaginary tear, “ready to go?”

“Where?” David asked as he glanced around at the empty field, perplexed.

  “Earth.”

The enormous angel then cupped his hands together as if receiving an imaginary stream of water. As David continued to watch, transfixed on the angel's hands, he saw a small sparkle of light emerging. The little light danced and swirled in Michael's large palms, doubling in size with every pulse. Faster and faster, the twinkle grew until it soon became the size of a basketball. The illuminated nexus suddenly spun itself out of the confines of the angel's fingers and into the air.

It grew exponentially larger with every pulsation. Spinning faster, the resonating white nexus suddenly exploded open, giving birth to a churning vortex. A rainbow of colors spun together in a whirlpool of light.

The newly formed doorway extended itself backwards, forming a long tunnel behind it. Twisting and writhing, the tunnel shot far in the distance, into a long silver rope. The silvery chord, who's end could not been seen, swayed in the breeze.

A large threshold now stood before them, taller than even the Archangel himself. Though it was similar to the light tunnel which greeted David at the moment of his death, this one was much bigger.

“Ready?” The dark-haired angel asked as he offered the entrance to David.

“Um...you first.” David responded with a nervous glance.

Laughing, Michael obliged and entered the hurricane. Looking back at David, his body illuminated, he nodded for him to follow.

Taking a brave breath, David stepped over the threshold and disappeared into the tunnel after Michael.

  ~

Akin to an ocean breeze, a cool wind blew upon David's face. A tingling and exhilaration embraced him as the wind ran its invisible fingers through his hair. Coral, emerald and lavender shades waltzed past his vision as he floated down the tunnel of light.

Physically and spiritually, David felt all of these things and more as he and Michael descended through the wormhole. The further they moved through the tunnel, the stranger David's ethereal body felt. At first, he felt light and feathery, as he'd felt the entire time in the fifth dimension, but as they moved downward, he began to feel heavy and dense.

A depression overwhelmed him. Sensing David was uneasy, Michael stopped to allow him to rest and assimilate to his changing density.

Dizzy, David asked, “What's wrong with me?”

“As we move down through the dimensions, your vibration adjusts. The lower the dimension you travel to, the lower your frequency will become.” Michael explained gently. “You will become more accustomed to the vibration in time, but that's also where you have to be careful.” The large angel warned.

“Careful...why?” wondered David as his head began to feel better, more focused.

“If you stay too long in the lower vibrations...while trying to help the lost souls...you may become a lost soul.” Michael said seriously. “You good to go?”

  David nodded.

Slower now, they continued their movement down the tunnel. The tunnel itself, David noticed, was dimmer. While still a dazzling brilliance, it had diminished since they'd left Heaven. It had also become more transparent. David could see people, places, shadows and shapes outside the walls.

On Earth, the visual world was horizontal, whereas these worlds were vertical. Driving in a car, the towns and rolling hills streamed past, parallel with the car. In the tunnel, however, David watched worlds shimmer past his sight as though he were moving down in a glass elevator.

The lower they went, the dimmer the lands became. The glorious colors of the higher levels had now faded to a mundane and dull shade. On the other side of the tunnel lie dark cities of souls, worlds of the dead, dwelling within the layers of creation.

“All these people...are they lost?” David asked, a sad tone seeping into his voice, something he'd not experienced in the fifth dimension. Only now, that he was descending in frequency was he experiencing more unpleasant emotions.

“Some are lost, some are trapped and some are simply punishing themselves. These people are trapped in the fourth dimension, limbo.” the angel replied, a sad look upon his face as he scanned the barren landscape of the lost. “Others are stuck within Earth's atmosphere. There are many layers to both Heaven and Hell.” Michael added.

“Hell?” Inquired David, a bit shocked. He hadn't really thought about the alternative to Heaven since he'd arrived.

“Yes, but it's not how they depict it on Earth. There's no horned creature, no Satan...per say.” the large angel explained. “Heaven and Hell are a choice, a state of mind, chosen by the soul.”

  David looked confused.

“When Zophial came to you after your physical death, she asked you whether or not you wanted to go home. Correct?” Michael asked, his silver eyes looking at David.

  “Yes.”

“You obviously chose to go with her into the light or you would not be here. Some choose to go home...others do not.” The angel elaborated, a look of despair crossing his chiseled face.

“Why would they choose not to go to such a wonderful place?” It simply didn't make sense to David why a soul would chose to suffer in a lower frequency, than go to a place of pure ecstasy.

Sighing, Michael stared out at the souls stuck within the abyss of dark dreams and replied. “They simply do not believe they’re worthy of coming home. The dark energies succeeded in making these beautiful beings believe they were worthless, guilty of sin or worse...” Michael's deep voice trailed off as he watched one of the wandering spirits lay upon the ground and wail. “Free will David, that's what the universe is all about. A soul only grows if it chooses to. It only gets nourishment if it drinks the water. It will only go home if it truly believes it is worthy. You must help them David, help
them see what they really are, help them know what glorious beings they truly are...”

Michael then spoke cryptically, his face stony. “Only you can do this David...there aren't many souls like you left.”

David wondered, as he had from the beginning of this journey, why he'd been chosen for this mission.

He now avoided glancing outside the transparent walls. It was too disturbing to see the darkness that pervaded the souls of the lost. He couldn't watch the pain and suffering any longer.

Following Michael, David felt his body getting heavier and heavier. It was very uncomfortable. Depression settled into his aura, his inner light felt dimmer. He didn't like it one bit.

Looking up, he could now see the end of the tunnel emerging. The end was completely black as they approached. A vaguely familiar feeling crept into his senses as they progressed—anxiety.

Upon reaching the dark threshold, David was suddenly disorientated. The pitch blackness that had engulfed him was so foreign compared to the fifth dimension's blanket of illumination.

Michael steadied David mentally, sending him a wave of positive energy. David focused his energy for a moment, and then looked around.

David gasped as his senses took it all in.

The tunnel had ended many millions of miles from the Earth. Now floating deep in the fathoms of space, David observed the Earth in all its magnificence, from a cosmic perspective.

The Earth, surrounded by an enormous aura, was teaming with energy. Flowing in and out like an ocean. Lavender, blue and luminescent white danced around the planet like a wave of Northern Lights.

Millions of white tunnels, like the one David and Michael had arrived in, extended from the Earth into the far reaches of space. Tiny sources of light, souls could be seen traveling within the wormholes, some ascending and some descending.

The entire scene reminded David of one of those static balls he'd played with in science class. The probing sparks of miniature purple and white lightning extending from a central orb. Tapping the glass from the outside, the static electricity would be magnetically drawn to his finger, sending a painless charge through him and making his hair stand on end.

The energy, spirit and magnetism the Earth radiated was so immense, it brought tears to David's eyes. Had he known while he was alive, what a beautiful, glorious being this creature was, he never would've allowed it to be treated the way it was.

It was alive. It emanated an ancient wisdom. Being in its very presence filled you with a sense of awe and respect. David could feel the millenniums it had lived.

“Pretty cool, huh?” Michael said his voice reverent with respect for the blue planet.

David nodded, unable to fathom any description worthy of this ancient entity.

“She is Gaia.” Michael explained quietly, “Think of her as...God's wife.” He chuckled as he ushered David forward.

“She's...beautiful.” David finally said as they approached her.

“Yes, but...she's dying.” Michael said his silver eyes sad.

  “Dying?!” David suddenly felt panicked.

“Yes. The dark energies of the Earth are succeeding. She is directly affected by the energy imbalance.” The large angel explained his voice thick with building contempt for the evil energies that were harming Gaia. “She can only fend them off for so long, she is tired.”

David felt an immense sadness sweep through his body as he gazed at the planet.

“Can she be...healed?” David inquired, a spark of hope building in his chest.

“Yes.” Michael answered, a smile forming on his handsome lips. “She needs to give birth.”

“Birth? How the heck does a planet give birth?” David asked, puzzled.

Pausing at the outskirts of the atmosphere, Michael explained.

“The universe is always growing, expanding outwards.” he said, waving his large arms open in the air. “It's like a giant rubber band, stretching in all directions.” He looked at David to see if he was following.

Satisfied, he continued. “For the Earth to continue living in a growing universe, it must evolve. Now, think of the rubber band stretching and stretching, it's eventually going to get a little thin, right?” He paused for moment, knowing this was deep information.

“At the peak of the expansion, two things can happen...one, the universe could keep stretching until the elastic band snaps. This means a dimension has collapsed...” Michael said solemnly. “Or, the universe can add another elastic band, or dimension, strengthening it and allowing it to continue growing. Does that make sense?”

“I think so...” David paused, trying to imagine an enormous elastic band expanding as far as the universe could reach. “How does this relate to the energies? How can the negative energy prevent the birth of a new dimension?”

Michael stared off into the distance as he compiled his thoughts.

“All evolution is based on raising the vibration of matter. Raising the vibration creates light. In a matter of speaking, lightening. It's all based on physics, quantum theories, and string theories...you name it, gets pretty complicated after a while.” Michael looked at David with a lighthearted roll of his eyes. “But basically, when the negative energies are dominant, like they are now, the state of the universe is denser, volatile and out of balance. When the universe is balanced, it’s lighter and flows better.”

  David nodded in understanding.

“Now,” Michael continued, “when the elastic band has reached its maximum, the universe sends an energy wave through space, signaling that it's ready to grow. The wave washes over galaxies, planets, moons, stars...everything.”

“Where does the wave begin?” David wondered as he pictured a huge tidal wave of energy rippling through space.

“Where the wave begins is a mystery...even to me. It is the essence of creation, the Source itself.” Michael said with respect in his voice.

David was shocked there were things even Michael, the Archangel Michael, didn't know about the universe.

Michael continued. “The wave will wash over everything, spreading the seed of genesis. Earth, is like a mother preparing herself for gestation. When the wave arrives, her energies must be balanced or she may perish in the wake of the tides.”

“So, how exactly does the Earth...give birth?” David asked, sincerely curious.

“Ah, but that is where the miracle of creation comes in! Faith, David, we can't know everything all of the time.” Michael commented with a grin.

“What will happen to the humans if the Earth gives birth?”

“Their vibration will increase, just as yours did when you ascended.” he explained, “The most incredible part is—they’ll be reunited with the dead!” Excitement twinkled in the angel's silver eyes.

  “What?” David exclaimed in disbelief.

“Yah, as the Earth creates a new dimension, every living being on the planet will simply...fall asleep. When they wake up,” Michael added, giddy, “the veil that kept the living from seeing the dead, will evaporate. They'll literally wake up to their deceased loved ones!”

David contemplated this deeply. At first, it seemed, well, creepy. He imagined how freaked out he'd be to wake up to his dead mother or grandparents. Could be startling, to say the least.

“So...the dead...they're not going to be all...gross or anything, will they?” David asked, thinking about stories he'd heard of ghosts, like Anne Boleyn, walking around with their heads cut off or something.

Michael laughed, he laughed really hard.

“No! They'll have ascended as well, so they'll look just like you, a fifth dimensional citizen.”

  “Oh!” he comprehended.

“Don't worry so much David! Have faith! Let's get going! I'm excited to show you the surface!” Michael took off and soared ahead of David, his vast wings extending to their fullest as he swooped downwards, spiraling and spinning as he descended.

“Show off.” David muttered with a smile as he followed the impetuous angel.

With tears streaming down her translucent face, Lily ran from her childhood room and down the stairs to the living room. Sitting in her father's armchair, she wept as she struggled to understand.

She felt so betrayed. How could they? How could they live with themselves? Why were her parents condoning this?!

  None of it made sense.

What am I going to do? Lily thought as her soul ached. I can't stay here and watch Gabe and my sister live out the life that was meant for me.

Tormented, she stared at a family photo for what felt like hours. Examining Quinn's face, Lily wondered how her own sister could do this. It was no secret Quinn had always harbored a crush on Gabe, but that gave her no right to act on her feelings. And Gabe! That shocked her even more. He'd never shown any romantic interest for Quinn.

Finally, Lily decided it must have been the only way Gabe could bear to be away from Lily. Maybe he needed Quinn to fill that gap in his heart. She did resemble Lily.

But it was Quinn who baffled her. How could she? What was her excuse? It was just plain—rude.

In that moment, Lily laughed out loud and decided she was going to haunt the hell out of her sister.

Yah! That's what she needs! A good, old-fashioned haunting. I'll scare the crap out of her! Lily thought maniacally. Smiling with self-satisfaction, she started thinking of all the ways she could antagonize Quinn.

That's when she heard a car pull up outside.

Curious, Lily walked to the porch to look out the front door. Peeking through the window, she was shocked to see a couple making out in a car at the end of the driveway. The man groped the woman as she kissed his neck. The windows even steamed up as they fraternized.

Squinting, she was unable to see exactly who was in the car. She finally resolved to pass through the door and investigate. Careful to watch for any shadow snakes, Lily made her way across the driveway. Approaching the car, she peered through the passenger side window.

Lily didn't recognize the woman; her hair was jet black and cut into a short, blunt bob. The clothes the woman wore were surprising, to say the least. An extremely low-cut tank top and a skirt so short, it was surely illegal somewhere. She tried to recall anyone with that description, but couldn't think of anyone.
