“I love you, too.” Fingernails digging into the material of his suit jacket, I ride him with wild abandonment.

Our coupling is fast and unrestrained. It doesn’t take long before we’re both thrown over the edge into blissful orgasm.

Panting, shaking, Mars buries his face between my breasts as he comes to a shuddering climax inside me.

“I hope you haven’t ruined my dress,” I tease.

His chuckle vibrates through my chest. “I’ll buy you another one. A thousand dresses if you want.”

“This one’s special, and if it's crumpled, everyone will know what we’ve been up to when we return to the reception.”

Lifting his head, Mars’ expression is smug with male arrogance. “Oh, have no doubt, everyone will know what we’ve been doing by the pink flush you’ll be wearing along with your look of feminine satisfaction.”

  EVA

The warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea lap at my feet while I lie in a tiny red bikini on the shores of the island of Sicily, close to Masala. In the distance, I can see the hazy lands of Tunisia. It’s a place I swim to often for the exotic spices and jewelry it has to offer. That’s definitely one perk to being the daughter of the God of the Sea, an ability to swim for miles like a fish. To dip your head under the water and not resurface until you reach your destination is bliss. There’s so much beauty in the shores off the coast of Italy not just in the colorful array of wildlife, but sunken wrecks teeming with fish of all different colors. Many a trinket or fortune can be found amongst the wooden structures, waiting for man to discover. I touch at the necklace I’ve worn since my tenth birthday, fifteen years ago. Well, in human years. In god years, I’m probably approaching fifty million years old give or take a few thousand years. Not a wrinkle line in sight, though!

My skin prickles as if someone’s watching me, but when I look around, I see no one. Strange. Maybe it’s time I was getting back home. Ever since my best friend, Fontus, disappeared, I’ve been on edge. It’s so unlike him to not leave word if he’s going somewhere for a while. He’s been known to vanish for days on end, lost in his explorations of wrecks, but he always tells me before he goes gallivanting. This time, I had no word. He just didn’t show up one day. I’ve told my father, and he’s looking into it, but I think Neptune believes I’m worrying over nothing. He has the same philosophy a lot of the male gods have, which is that some time away and buried deep inside a woman of choice is needed. Well, I can tell you now if Fontus is doing that, then it’ll be the last time he is able to use his dick for those sorts of activities!

I snort an annoyed puff of air and jump to my feet. Bending over, I lift up my teal colored towel, wrap it into a small ball, and tuck it into my rucksack. The sky darkens, a single black cloud in a bright blue sky. It’s eerie, not normal. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I need to get home, now. But it’s too late. My body’s frozen in place. I try to take a step, but my legs won’t obey my brain.

“She’s pretty, Boss.” The deep masculine voice comes from behind me, but I can’t turn my head to see the face of the person speaking.

“Indeed, she is.” Another voice comes just from the left of me. I have movement in my eyes, and they’re able to flick to the side to see a big brute of a man looming over me. A menacing grin full of lust crosses his face. “Very pretty. Neptune should keep her better guarded. I turn my attention to the sea and will it to save me. A shot of water bursts out of the ocean and heads to the man next to me, but he holds a hand out, and the water stops and veers off to his side.

“Feisty as well. Just how Pluto likes them.”

My ears prick up at the mention of that feared name. I’ve been taught to stay away from any mention of it since birth.

“What do you want?” My voice trembles.

“Well, apart from your virtue, you’re going to make a perfect addition to my camp.”

I swallow deeply, my whole body wanting to do nothing more than run away.

“But a demi-goddess? She’s no Venus,” the voice questions from behind me.

“No, she’s better because nobody’ll miss her, especially with us holding her part-time lover hostage as well.” The man to the left of me evilly chuckles.

“Fontus!” I cry, but my words are lost on the wind as we disappear into nothing.

  About Anna Edwards

I am a British author, from the depths of the rural countryside near London. In a previous life, I was an accountant from the age of twenty-one. I still do that on occasions, but most of my life is now spent intermingling writing while looking after my husband, two children, and two cats (probably in the inverse order to the one listed!). When I have some spare time, I can also be found writing poetry, baking cakes (and eating them), or behind a camera snapping like a mad paparazzi.

I'm an avid reader who turned to writing to combat my depression and anxiety. I have a love of travelling and like to bring this to my stories to give them the air of reality.

I like my heroes hot and hunky with a dirty mouth, my heroines demure but with spunk, and my books full of dramatic suspense.
