“They’re not going to say anything,” Jasmine said. “And besides, no body, no crime, right?”

“I’ll take your word for it,” Frost said.

Cassia pulled out an empty enchanted back and began sucking the pile of body parts into it and immediately afterward funneled in all of the blood.

“All clean,” Cassia said as she rubbed a little bit of blood on the pouch to mark it. “We’ll save this for when we’re fishing sometime. It actually makes great leviathan bait!”

“Be sure to write down all those spells,” Frost said sternly as he glanced up at the demihumans watching them through the windows. He noticed Miss Nine in her shop window, staring as if she was unsure of what she just witnessed.

“Fine, I’ll write down the death runes,” Cassia said while pinching his cheek. “But only because you’re so cute.”

  CHAPTER 35

The next day the menagerie was crawling with soldiers looking for missing people but failed to find even a drop of blood in the cobblestone streets. They questioned the demihumans wandering through the district but the demihumans were all miraculously tight-lipped about everything.

A few of the children told soldiers that a terrifying monster lady and a shirtless man with a flaming sword were running around slicing people to bits as blood splashed everywhere, but the stories sounded so ridiculous that the guards ignored them.

Frost and the others loaded up their carriage in front of The Ivory Lounge as the maids looked on. They would have stayed longer but the ship they chartered was leaving that evening and the next one wouldn’t leave for a week. He’d already been away from his territory for too long without adding an extra week to the trip. They also still had to pick up Amaya at the castle.

“Lord Sebastian,” a guard captain approached him as the other guards questioned the demihumans cleaning up the damaged stalls and shops. “You seem to be at the center of quite a few disturbances.”

“There are so many disturbances in this city that I’d be at the center no matter where I was staying,” Frost said. “Tell me, what exactly is your job?”

“To keep the peace,” the guard said while glaring at him. “We can’t all be executioners.”

“Don’t know what you’re talking about,” Frost said.

“Of course,” the captain said. “I’m sure you wouldn’t know anything about the monsters the children are talking about either.”

“Did they call them monsters?” Cassia asked as she walked out of The Ivory Lounge with a sack. She tossed the sack onto the carriage and smiled at the captain. “The story I heard was it was an amazing beautiful vengeful spirit punishing the humans for years of mistreatment.”

“Right,” the captain scoffed as he turned to walk away.

“Captain,” Frost said sternly. “If there were monsters, the people in this city should keep in mind that monsters have a tendency to come back.”

“Especially when they have business interests in the city,” the captain grumbled as he walked toward his men.

Frost and the others finished loading up their carriage and wished the people of the menagerie farewell before heading to the castle. Jasmine and the others were wearing short sensible skirts and thin breathable tops for the ride this time and they were much more comfortable.

When they arrived at the castle Frost had one final meeting with Herald Luciana to discuss his business dealings as well as go over the events of the previous night. Fortunately, the herald had no interest in a bunch of merchants being murdered as long as they weren’t friends of hers. And based on what she told him, she had very few friends so that wouldn’t be a problem.

“But I want to stay here!” Amaya whined as one of the maids brought her down. “I get to eat all the pudding I want and there are pretty people coming and going all the time!”

“There are plenty of pretty people in Pluma as well Amaya,” Iris said. “Also there are lots of children your age, remember? You were excited about being able to go to school and play with them!”

“Really?” Frost said as he stared at the grinning herald. “You had to spoil her?”

“Spoil her?” Luciana laughed. “Please. It’s not as though I had dozens of half-naked men fanning her and feeding her fruit as she sunbathed. That would have been spoiling her.”

“She’s twelve!” Frost said while pointing at the girl.

“Which is why I locked her in a room with my servants feeding her sugar-coated fruits and pudding,” Luciana said. “Don’t look at me like that. I have no idea how to raise a child. The only reason she was here was because of you.”

“Don’t worry,” Jasmine said enthusiastically. “Once she sees a few shows at my theater she’ll realize how boring this place was!”

“You own a theater?” Luciana said in disbelief. “Really?”

“Yup!” Jasmine said proudly. “If you visit Pluma I’ll give you a front-row seat at my next big performance!”

“I’ll be sure to stop by if I’m ever in the area,” Luciana said. “But I find it rather doubtful. Why travel when I can have everything brought to me?”

“You know,” Frost said while staring at the woman. “I would still be interested to find out exactly how you resurrect yourself. Is it something like a soul gem?”

“Soul gem?” Luciana scoffed. “Those things are pointless. Why would you want to trap your soul in a gemstone? Anybody could just come along and devour it! The trick I use is much simpler but you’ll never figure it out. All you need to know is that even if you kill me ninety-nine times, the hundredth is mine. So don’t make me your enemy.”

“Fair enough,” Frost chuckled as the woman wandered off.

“Now, I’m going to go get my everything rubbed,” Luciana said. “Safe journeys Herald Frost.”

“Enjoy your rub down, Herald Luciana,” Frost chuckled

They packed up Amaya and headed to the pier where they found a massive ship waiting for them. Unlike the ship they arrived on, this one had several sleeping quarters. Since Frost was going to be transporting slaves on the ship back to Pluma he wanted to make sure there was enough space.

“Okay everybody,” Frost said to the group of well-fed slaves lining up on the dock. “I’m going to be trying to make good time so if you get seasick, prepare to get very sea sick.”

“Where are we going master?” an elf asked while raising her hand.

“Yeah, you haven’t told us,” a Florenne said.

“We’ll be going to Pluma Village,” Frost answered as the demihumans whispered to each other. “Any more questions?”

“A-are you sure we’ll be allowed there?” a busty Bosa woman asked. The black-haired woman was similar to a Durra in appearance except her chest was even larger. Also, her ears were much smaller than a Durra’s and she had two small horns protruding from her head. “Isn’t it really far away.”

“It is,” Frost said. “And I’m sure you’ll be allowed there. Don’t worry. I’m sure everybody will welcome you with open arms. You two especially,” Frost said while winking at the two Bosa women. “Now, everybody climb aboard. Madam Gardenia will take care of assigning you to cabins.”

“And I’ll take care of assigning names!” Jasmine said excitedly.

“No,” Frost said while poking Jasmine’s nose. “No naming.”

“But Periwinkle loves her name!” Jasmine said.

“My name is Erena,” Erena said, grinning as she poked Jasmine’s petite chest. “And Lord Sebastian loves me.”

“Lord Sebastian loves anybody with a wet pussy and a tight asshole,” Zinnia said as she walked past them.

“You really need to stop hanging out with all those werewolves Zin,” Iris said as she followed the Durra. “You’re picking up their bad habits.”

“She’s not wrong,” Frost chuckled as everybody boarded the ship.

As soon as they were all onboard Frost waited until the ship set sail to watch the city vanish in the distance. He started thinking about flying again and
how much faster it would be. If he could figure out how to use magic to create something that could fly faster than a normal ship, he could visit the beautiful city every weekend.

“I shouldn’t have slept through physics,” Frost sighed as he watched the city vanish.

  CHAPTER 36

The journey back to Pluma felt like it took an eternity despite the swift ship they hired for the voyage. The voyage itself was quiet, everywhere except for Frost’s quarters where moaning could be heard all hours of the day.

Once they arrived back in Kald, they disembarked and Frost used the communication orbs to send a message to Pluma to inform them of his arrival but rather than wait for them to send wagons, he decided to take some of the wagons and animals stabled in Kald. Hansel was more than happy to give them to him since it got him out of the town faster. Although Jasmine, Zinnia, and Iris were all disappointed that they didn’t get to stay and look around.

It took a full day of riding but they eventually arrived in Pluma.

The demihumans arriving with him were in awe as they looked around the vibrant village full of smiling people. While Goldsail might have been a massive city, Pluma Village had its own appeal and it was certainly much nicer than Goldsail’s demihuman districts.

Frost decided not to make the slaves he purchased work off their debt. Instead, he planned on handing them off to Brynn and Desdemona for processing and afterward get them situated just like he would any other villager. He hoped that in the long run they would be productive enough for the village to benefit but in the meantime, he didn’t feel comfortable making them reimburse him for their freedom.

He was also fairly certain that Lysandra would have been furious with him if she found out about it.

Erena immediately fell in love with the village. The lovely white-tailed Kina looked around excitedly as they rode through. She was eager to hop out and start her new life.

“So, am I going to be staying with Herald Frost or will I have my own home?” Erena asked as she looked around.

“You’re getting ahead of yourself Periwinkle,” Jasmine said while tugging on one of the Kina’s ears. “You still belong to Madam Gardenia.”

“What?” Erena pouted as she stared at Madam Gardenia, her cobalt blue eyes filling with tears. “You’re not going to let me stay here?”

“I will once Herald Frost builds my manor,” Madam Gardenia said while crossing her arms. “Once it’s built, I’ll free you and you can live wherever you want.”

“Haru,” Frost smiled at the fox-eared woman. “Come on now.”

“I suppose she can work at one of my establishments here until you build my house,” Madam Gardenia said. “But she absolutely cannot have a home before I do.”

“I thought you wanted a great big estate,” Frost said. “If you’re fine with a home I can probably find you one today.”

“I want a nice home,” Madam Gardenia said. “With a nice porch with lots of shade, a wine cellar, a large dining area for entertaining guests, and at least eight bedrooms.”

“Why do you need eight bedrooms?” Frost asked. “I only have one bedroom and I do just fine.”

“You have every bedroom in the village,” Madam Gardenia replied.

“My love!” Frost narrowly dodged Ka as she swooped down and landed beside him. The large white-feathered harpy wrapped her wings around him and started showing him with kisses. “You will never guess what happened while you were gone!”

Ka immediately began regaling him with everything that had transpired along with an alarming amount of gossip about the villagers. Within five minutes he not only knew everything that happened in the village but virtually everybody’s relationship status and several mildly amusing anecdotes.

“My darling Renna!” Cassia shouted as she hopped out of the wagon and rushed over to Renna. The white-haired elf wrapped her arms around the petite woman and squeezed her as hard as she could.

“You’re squeezing too hard! Too hard! Ruby! Ruby!” Renna said as she tried pushing Cassia off.

“Hey Cassia,” Jasmine shouted. “Don’t forget to tell her all the things you did with us!”

“What?” Renna glared at Cassia. “You are going to get severely punished!”

“Herald Frost made me my love,” Cassia said defensively as she released the elf. “He told me that…”

“Stop! You’re going to tell me every detail later while on your knees apologizing,” Renna interrupted while aggressively squeezing one of Cassia’s large breasts. “More importantly. I have big news!”

  “What is it?” Cassia asked.

“I turned level thirty-five and have all of the endorsements I need!” Renna said while hopping excitedly. “I meet all of the requirements to marry Herald Frost!”

“Oh,” Cassia blushed and looked away.

“Don’t look all sad,” Renna said. “I’m not going to abandon you! I’m going to do horrible stuff with you and Herald Frost in front of your daughter!”

“Even if you’re approved to marry him, that doesn’t mean you’re allowed in my room,” Lysandra said defensively as she walked out to greet Frost. “There isn’t enough room in my bedroom for all of us.”

“If being with Cassia has taught me anything it’s that you can always fit another,” Renna said.

“Another what?” Amaya asked as Iris helped the pink Florenne out of the wagon.

“Don’t answer that,” Frost said as Renna started to open her mouth. “She’s already been exposed to far too much.”

“He forgot that she was in the cabin next to ours on the ship,” Iris said while rubbing the girl’s fluffy pink hair.

“Is this Amaya,” Lysandra asked while crouching down in front of the girl. “You are just the cutest!”

“Hm,” Amaya pointed her finger at Lysandra and then at Cassia. “Twins!”

“Absolutely not!” Lysandra said defensively as Cassia hopped up and down excitedly.

  “That’s right!” Cassia said.

“Come along Amaya,” Iris said while taking the young prophet’s hand. “You’re going to be staying with me until…”

“I thought I was staying in the temple with Herald Frost,” Amaya said.

“Oh, no, no, no,” Iris said while shaking her head. “You see, the rooms in the temple are really close together and…”

“Is it because Herald Frost is going to stick his cock in somebody’s ass again?” Amaya asked loudly.

“Yeah, she heard way too much,” Frost groaned while shaking his head. “I really didn’t think about it honestly. I didn’t even think about it until she started asking uncomfortable questions.”

“I’m sure it’s fine,” Lysandra said. “There are far worse things she could have heard than that.”

“She heard those too,” Jasmine said playfully as she helped people out of the wagons. “We were doing a lot of really awful things with Cassia. I can’t believe she didn’t use her safe word! Your mother can really take some punishment Lysandra!”

“I don’t need to hear about it,” Lysandra said.

“It’s not an insult,” Zinnia said cheerfully. “If you can take half of the punishment that your mother can take that’d be really impressive! She will do literally anything you tell her to when she’s wearing that collar. She even…”

“Darling!” Lysandra said loudly as she wrapped her arms around Frost’s neck. “You must be tired from your long trip and I’ve missed you. Maybe we should retire to the bedroom. I have a surprise waiting for you.”

“A surprise?” Frost asked. “Really? What kind of surprise?”

“Your favorite kind of surprise,” Lysandra said. “Wouldn’t you like to go see?”

“Can it wait?” Frost asked as he stared at the group of demihumans in the wagon. “There’s a lot…”

“I assure you that it absolutely can’t wait,” Lysandra said while pressing her chest against him. “I certainly can’t wait.”

“Alright,” Frost said as he turned toward the
group. “I’m going to go take care of some things if you all can handle things out here.”

“I’m on it!” Desdemona said enthusiastically as she rushed toward the group with a ledger. “Sister Ka, would you like to help today?”

“Sister?” Frost chuckled. “What’s that about?”

“It’s just something the Arachne told the harpies,” Lysandra said as she ran her hands up and down his chest. “We can talk about it later, right now I need you.”

“Have the Arachne and harpies been talking a lot?” Frost asked. “That could actually lead to a potential problem depending on what they say.”

“The harpies talk about a lot of things with a lot of people,” Lysandra said. “That’s not important. What is important is getting you out of these clothes. Unless you’re not interested in your surprise.”

“Oh, I’m very interested in my surprise,” Frost said as Lysandra dragged him toward the temple.

  CHAPTER 37

Lysandra covered Frost’s eyes as she let him into the bedroom. Seconds after he stepped inside, he heard the door slam behind him. The elf slowly led him toward the foot of the bed.

“Surprise,” Lysandra said as she removed her hands from his eyes.

Brynn was laying on the bed in black thigh-high stockings and a black transparent thong that was so small it cut into the pink lips of her glistening pussy. For a top she wore a tight transparent black camisole and on her arms were a pair of opera gloves that appeared to be made from the same material as her stockings. The beautiful petite bard playfully covered her nipples as she smiled at him.

  “Surprise,” Brynn said cheerfully.

“S-s-surprise,” Olivia managed to say as she trembled next to Brynn.

Olivia was wearing a black lace thong and a simple bralette that barely held her breasts. The way Brynn curled beside her made her look even taller and her body more curvaceous and he could see every curve. In particular, he found himself looking at her sexy hips and long elegant legs. He just wanted to start at her feet and lick his way up the beautiful noblewoman’s body.
