“When we get home, I am going to make love to you for hours. No more quickies. I can’t take this.” They knew they had to get up soon, but this was their moment to relax and enjoy the bliss of their love making.
There was a knock on the door.
“Who is it?” Heidi asked.
“It’s Elyse. Mr. Tom is at the door and would like to talk to Mr. Rob.”
“Okay, tell Tom he’ll be there in a minute.”
Robert hung his head. “So much for relaxing.” He gave her a peck on the cheek and got out of bed. He pulled on his pants and hurried to the door.
“We’ll be leaving in thirty minutes, McCormick.”
“Yes sir. We’ll be ready.” He turned around and looked at the sleeping twins. “Time to rise and shine. Wake up, boys. Time to get dressed.”
“Can’t we stay here and sleep while you’re driving?” Colin asked.
“Nope. I want the two of you out of bed and dressed.”
“Yes sir.” Simon mumbled in his pillow. “Come on, Colin.” Both boys climbed down out of the overhead and ran to the bathroom.
“When you’re done in there, Heidi has your clothes in the bedroom.”
“Okay.” They both called out.
It wasn’t long before everyone was dress and the vehicles were pulling out and on their way to Deer Lodge. The crew chief would check with the State police to see if there was any information on the poachers that killed the Olson’s.
Robert drove the Olson’s motorhome and they all planned to meet up for breakfast. Robert finally had a chance to call his brother.
“Charlie, it’s Robert.”
“Robert, we were worried sick. Heidi disappeared when you left. Becky finally admitted that she was with you.”
“Yeah. She snuck into the truck and hid on the floor. We didn’t realize she was there until we got to our check point. By then, there was no way to call you.”
“Is she alright?” Charles asked.
“She’s fine. She’s better than fine.”
“I gather you’ve ironed out your differences.”
“We have. Everything is great. We can’t wait to get home. Charlie, we’re bringing three cubs home with us. Poachers killed their parents. They were the campers we went searching for. We’re going to be their foster parents for a while. Is that okay? I hope you don’t mind.”
“If they don’t bother Jackie, I guess it’s okay.
“Charlie, I want Mack and Peg to meet them, what do you think?”
“We’ll talk about it when you get here. How are they handling the loss of their parents?”
“Really well. The family did a lot of camping and their parents prepared them, just in case something like this happened. They’re great kids. Simon and Colin are twins, they’re four years old and their sister, Elyse, is six.”
“You said they’re cubs?”
“Grizzly cubs, Charlie. Stanton said they’d be split up in foster care because they didn’t have anyone that could take all three. Heidi wouldn’t stand for it.”
“Alright. We’ll figure out something. What time will you be here?”
“Right now, we’re meeting Tom and the crew for breakfast and then we should be home later this afternoon. We need to stop and get Heidi some proper clothing. I’m driving the motorhome that the parents owned, it belongs to the kids now. Thanks Charlie.”
“No problem. Tell Heidi I’m going to take her over my knee for scaring the hell out of us.”
“I’ll do that. See you in a couple hours.” Robert hung up and went to find his new family and the rest of the crew.
*****
They arrived home later than planned. It was starting to get dark. Charles watched as three children accompanied Robert and Heidi up the steps.
“Well, who do we have here?” Charles asked.
“Are you Mr. Chawee?” Colin asked as he tilted his head back to look up. Charles got down on one knee.
“I am. And who might you be?”
“My name is Colin.” He stuck his hand out. “Simon is my twin brother, but he’s older.”
“Is that right. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Colin.” He shook his hand. “That must mean that Simon is the head of the family.”
“Yes sir.” Simon stepped up to meet Charles and shook his hand. “I kept my brother and sister, safe.”
“Good man.” Just then, Jackie appeared.
“Why in the world are you all standing on the porch. Charles, let them come in.” Jackie went to Heidi and gave her a hug. “We were so worried about you. Is everything alright?”
Heidi gave her a big smile. “It is now.”
“Come inside children, it’s cold out there. You can call me Aunt Jackie”. Each one of the children told her their name.
“I have your rooms all ready for you.” She gave them a big smile. “Looks like they could all use a bath.” She looked to Heidi. “Do they have pajamas?”
“Yes, they do. I’ll have to get their things out of the motorhome.”
“I’ll go get their things.” Robert told her. “Charlie, come with me while I get their pajamas.”
“Heidi, why don’t you and I get the children ready for their bath.” Jackie led the kids to their rooms. “Then we can all relax and have a nice dinner. The children will be all set for bed when they get tired.”
“Thank you, Jackie. I don’t want you to stress over these kids. I can take care of them.”
“I’m fine. Why don’t I help Elyse, I’ll let you take care of the twins.”
Heidi laughed. “To be honest, I was going to let Robert take care of the twins.”
“That sounds like a great idea.”
*****
“Robert, what are you thinking taking on three kids.” Charles asked as they walked to the motorhome.
“I only plan on keeping them until Christmas. Charlie, do you think Mack and Peg might be interested in adopting these kids?”
“Geez, I don’t know, Robert. Were you planning on asking them in advance or just springing it on them.”
“I was going to suggest they be foster parents. I know they’ll fall in love with these kids, we did.”
“Do they know they might not be staying with you?”
“Yeah, we told them. We talked about it after I called you. They didn’t seem to mind when I told them Mack was our brother.” Robert gathered up the pajamas for the kids. Heidi could come and get her new things and the rest of their clothes later.
“I think we should give Mack a call and see what he has to say. If he agrees, it will give him and Peg time to prepare for them. Remember, it’ll be Christmas. These kids are going to need gifts from Santa Bear.” He gave Robert a big grin as he looked around. “Ya know, this motorhome is just what we need. It’s perfect. Jackie would have no problem travelling in this. How long do you get to keep it?”
“It belongs to the kids.”
Charles let out a long whistle. “Think they’ll let us borrow it?”
Robert laughed. “Yeah, I think that can be arranged. The kids want to take one last camping trip in it in the spring to remember their parents. After that, we told them we’d sell it and put the money in a trust for them.”
“Robert, I have an idea. Why don’t we buy it?”
“Really!” Robert scratched his head. “I didn’t even think of doing that.”
“If they stay with Mack and Peg, the kids could come back in the summer to visit and go camping.”
“That’s a great idea. We’ll have to wait and see what Mack and Peg decided to do and go from there.” Charles and Robert did a high-five.
“Let’s get inside and get those kids cleaned up. You’re going love them, Charlie.”
*****
The kids were finished with their baths and dressed in their pajamas. Jackie helped Elyse, while Robert and Charlie helped the twins. Heidi had vanished. They found her in the kitchen fixing dinner.
“What’s for dinner?” Robert asked as he hugged her. Charles a
nd Jackie followed Robert into the kitchen with three smiling faces in tow.
“Where did these children come from?” Heidi questioned. “What happened to my three dirty little bears. Did you happen to see them?”
“It’s me, Miss Heidi.” Colin climbed up on the stool next to her. “Don’t you know me?”
“No, you couldn’t possibly be Colin. My goodness, is it really you?”
Colin nodded his head and gave her a big grin. “It’s really me, Miss Heidi.”
She gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “You clean up pretty nice.” She looked at Simon and Elyse. “Look at you two. If wasn’t for the pajamas, I’d never have recognized you. The three of you go sit at the kitchen table.”
Heidi had fixed macaroni and cheese for the kids. She gave each one of them a buttered slice of bread and a glass of punch. She fixed chicken chow mien and rice for the rest of them.
“I’m sorry about the rice, all you had was minute rice. It will do for now. I’ll have to find someplace to buy real rice.”
Charles laughed. “You better add it to the list for Mack. You won’t find many Chinese markets in Montana.”
“That’s alright, is there a Costco? Sometimes I can get it there.”
“We’ll be going there next week.” Robert replied. “We’ll get whatever you need.”
“Can’t I come with you?” Heidi asked.
“And who will watch the kids?” Charles asked, not wanting to leave the kids with Jackie.
“Charlie, we could all go in the motorhome.” Robert looked at Jackie. “Jackie must have a major case of cabin fever by now.”
Jackie rolled her eyes. “You have no idea.”
They all agreed it was a great idea and they would all go to town during the week. The kids were finally kissed goodnight and tucked into bed.
Chapter 18
After the kids were in bed, Robert and Charles called Mack.
“Hey, Mack. How was Thanksgiving?” Robert asked.
“It was great, what about yours?”
“I had to work. I also found my mate, Mack. Her name is Heidi.”
“Is she there?” Mack asked. “Can she hear me?”
“She sure is and yes she can.”
“Welcome to the family, Heidi. Peg and I can’t wait to meet you.” They were on speaker phone. Heidi could hear Peg in the background.
“Thank you. Robert and Charles have told me so much about both of you.”
“Robert, do I hear an accent?” Peg asked.
“Yes, Peg. Heidi is from China. I got myself a China doll and she’s beautiful.”
“That’s great Robert, we can’t wait to meet her. You are coming for Christmas, right?”
“Yup. We’re all coming. Jackie has been released from restriction.” Charles spoke up.
“That’s great, Chuck.” Peg was the only one that could get away with calling Charles, “Chuck”.
“Mack, I have a question for you and Peg. The rescue I was just on involved shifters. Both parents were killed by poachers. What would you think about being foster parents to three grizzly cubs until we can find someone that is willing to adopt all three of them together? Heidi refused to let them be split up. They’re staying with us right now. We’ll be bringing them with us.”
“I don’t know. How old are they?” Mack asked.
“The girl, Elyse, is six. The twins, Simon and Colin are four. They are really great kids, Mack. They are well behaved and polite. Their parents prepared them for something like this.”
“Wow. I don’t know, Robert. Peg and I will have to talk about it. Do you have any pictures?”
“Yup. I just sent them to you on the computer.” Robert replied.
“Hang on, let me pull them up.” Mack pulled the first picture up on his lap top. There staring back at him were three of the cutest kids he’d ever seen hugging a panda bear. The second picture was of the twins with a beautiful Chinese woman and the third picture was Elyse and Robert.
“Oh Robert, they’re beautiful.” Peg said in the background. “Is that Heidi?”
“Yes, it is. Isn’t she beautiful.”
“Yes, she is.” Peg looked at a couple more pictures of the kids and was falling in love.
“Alright, Robert. Peg and I will kick it around and let you know. Hey bro, congratulations.”
“Thanks Mack. Good night Peg.” Robert hung up.
“That went well.” Robert remarked. “What do you think, Charlie?”
“I think you’re right. I wouldn’t be at all surprised they’ve already been adopted.”
Robert gave Heidi a hug and realized she was crying. “Heidi, what’s wrong?”
“I’m going to miss the children.” She sniffled.
“Ah, honey. They’re not going anywhere for a month. You can completely spoil them in that time.”
Heidi laughed. “No, I’m not going to do that. You will do that.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right.” He gave her a kiss.
*****
Heidi and Robert finally said good night. Robert had brought in all their belongings from the motorhome after the kids had eaten dinner. Finally, alone in their bedroom, Robert flopped on his bed.
“Jeez, it feels good to be home.” He stuck his hand out to Heidi for her to join him. She climbed onto the bed next to him.
“I can’t believe this is really going to be my home. That you are really my mate.” She cuddled up closer. “You introduced me to that doctor as your fiancé.”
“I did, didn’t I. That’s because I want to marry you.”
“You want to marry me. Really!”
“Yes, really. I’d be more than happy to prove it to you.” He rolled toward her and kissed her neck. He nibbled his mark on her shoulder and made her shiver from head to toe. “Heidi Chow, will you marry me.” He whispered and held an engagement ring up in front of her. It was his mother’s. The brothers had agreed since Mack bought a ring for Peg, and Charles hadn’t proposed to Jackie, the next one to get engaged could use their mother’s engagement ring.
“I love you, Heidi Chow. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, not only as mates, but as husband and wife.”
She looked at Robert and at the ring. Tears glistened in her eyes as she said “yes”.
Robert carefully slipped the ring on to her finger. “We might have to have it resized. Your hands and fingers are much smaller than my mother’s.”
“This was your mother’s ring?”
“Yes, sweetheart. Is that okay? It isn’t bad luck in your culture, is it?”
“No, it is not bad luck. It is a great honor.” She looked at the ring on her finger. “I never thought I would ever wear a ring on that hand because I was no longer pure.”
“But you were. I took your virginity.” He kissed her forehead. “You have to stop thinking about the past. You have a whole new future with me.” Heidi dropped her eyes so he couldn’t look at the hurt they held. “Heidi, what is it, tell me.”
She threw her arms around his neck and sobbed. “My family will never forget. They will never forgive. I can’t even share my joy with them.”
Robert was at a loss for words. All he could do was comfort her. He thought about her situation with her family. He didn’t care what Charlie said about Chinese customs. If he could fix this, he was going to try. He’d give Agent Adams a call in the morning and see if he had any connections, or maybe his brother, Mack.
Robert kissed her forehead, then her eyes, her nose. His mouth found her sensuous lips and he claimed the sweetness of her mouth with his.
Heidi groaned as she let him in to explore the depths of her mouth with his tongue. He released his kiss and followed the curve of her neck to her satin smooth shoulders. “I love you, Heidi,” he whispered. He slowly undressed her. He found her breast and suckled her nipple. Heidi arched her back to give him more, as he licked and nipped her breast.
“I want more.” She moaned as she abandoned her inhibitions.
He
ran his hand down her belly and further until he felt the velvety softness between her legs. “I need to taste you.”
He moved down between her thighs. He carefully lifted each leg over his shoulders and blew softly on her velvety folds and felt her shiver. Her ran his tongue from the bottom of her velvety softness to her throbbing nub.
Heidi let out a ragged gasp.
‘I won’t hurt you.” Robert whispered. “Relax and let the feelings take over.” He ran his tongue around her clit as he placed a finger between the folds. He curved his finger to find the spot that would drive her to the heights of ecstasy.
Heidi started to moan and cry out as she raised her hips. She dug her heels into his back. His talented fingers continued tease and tantalize her until she could no longer hold back. He felt her stiffen and then buck, her muscles clamping on his fingers.
“That’s it, Heidi. Let it go. Enjoy it.” She experienced feelings she never knew existed. She finally started to come down from the best feeling she had ever had and started to relax.
Robert chuckled softly as he lowered her legs. “Are you ready for more?”
“Mm-hmm.” She gave a shaky reply as she caught her breath. Her body glistened with sweat.
Robert quickly removed his clothes and returned to her. He slowly worked his way up her body. He kissed her belly, her hips. He worked his way to her small, firm breasts. He stopped as his erection rubbed against the soft fur of her mound. He sat back on his heels and gazed at the beautiful woman beneath him. He took his cock in hand and guided it into her depths. One thrust went as far as he could go. He pulled her tight against him and held her hips. He bent forward to claim her mouth with a passionate eagerness and started to move. He reached an arm underneath her to pull her tight as he thrust harder.
Heidi’s body welcomed his hard cock, she hungered for it. She wrapped her arms around his neck and held on. She started to pant, and moan. Her body started to tingle all over.
