“That’s the thing, Sky, I don’t want to be with anyone else” he says, his tone taking a somewhat scary cadence.
“Why Wes? You have cheated on me multiple times. I just don’t understand why you’re pushing so hard for us to be together when it’s beyond apparent I mean nothing to you?”
“I love you, okay? Isn’t that a good enough reason?” He asks.
I shake my head, dumbfounded. Weston has hardly ever shown any care or concern for me. The only time he remotely acted like he had any feelings at all were the times I had his cock in my mouth.
“If you love me so much then why were you banging Stephy?!” I shriek, exasperated. It’s not like I actually care that he cheated on me. I’m just so fucking confused as to why he is pushing for us to stay together when his interests in me were superficial at best.
“I have needs, dammit. I’m a fucking teenage guy!” He yells back, He throws the car in park in a parking space in front of a grocery store.
“Then, for fucks sake, keep fulfilling those needs with STEPHY!” I yell back.
“My parents would never accept her, you know that” he seethes, leaning forward and grabbing my face between his hands. “My only option is you.”
Gee, that’s comforting. ‘I only want you because my parents won’t let me date the girl I really want’
I try a different approach, softening my tone since obviously yelling at him isn’t working. “Wes, you shouldn’t be fighting for me because I’m a last resort or the only option your parents would accept.”
He staring at me, his thumbs brushing down my cheeks. “I love you, Sky, you’re not a last resort I just want more from us. I want everything for us, between us” he crashes his mouth to mine, his hands keeping me pulled to him as I try and pull back. He tries to deepen the kiss but I keep my lips clamped shut. He pulls back and looks at me, his eyes sad.
“But I don’t love you, Weston” I whisper, closing my eyes so I don’t have to see whatever emotion is on his face.
If you would have asked me if Weston Montgomery loved me 2 weeks ago, I would have laughed hysterically. I would have told you the only thing Weston loved about me was the amazing way I give a blowjob and how good my ass looked in a tight dress.
I was arm candy for Weston… or so I thought.
“Please, Sky” he says again, causing me to open my eyes. I can’t decipher what I see in his, and I don’t want to. Our relationship didn’t end Friday night when I caught him in bed with another girl. No, our relationship ended years ago and its time he comes to accept that.
“Can you take me to school, please? I have a test in second I don’t need to miss” I say.
Weston releases my cheeks, turning back around in his seat. He presses his eyes with the heels of his hands before starting the car and doing as I asked.
By the time we get to the academy, first period is halfway over. I leave Weston sitting in his car without another word and make my way to the library, texting Barron on the way in.
Skylar: Sorry. We took a little detour to talk. I’ll see you at lunch.
Barron: Are you here now?
Skylar: Yeah, I’m going to the library to study for my test next period.
Chapter 21
Barron
I find her sitting in the same spot where she found me last week after my cafeteria meltdown. She’s curled into the chair with her book balancing on her lap, her shoes kicked off onto the floor in front of her. She looks up at me as I come around the chair to stand in front of her.
“How did you get out of class?” She asks, putting the book aside and standing up in front of me. I wrap my arms around her and pull her to me, burying my face in her hair. The scent of her shampoo calming the raging anger I have been carrying since she told me the asshole showed up at her house to pick her up for school.
During our phone conversation the night before I had offered to swing by and get her but she told me that she actually had a car, she just didn’t drive often and she would be driving herself to school from now on.
“I told him I needed to go to the nurse” I tell her, pulling back to look at her gorgeous face.
She gives me a sad smile, reaching up and brushing her fingers across my lips. “I’m sorry about this morning… I didn’t plan on…”
“I know, that wasn’t your fault” I say to her quietly.
“How was it?” I ask her, sitting in the chair she had just vacated and pulling her onto my lap. She curls into me like a cat curling into their owner and sighs.
“It sucked ass. He just kept saying over and over we needed to be together and he loved me. He even kissed me.”
My whole body tenses, the anger slamming back into me that had just vanished a minute before. I can tell she senses it and she puts her finger under my chin and lifts my face to hers. “I pushed him away. I told him we weren’t getting back together and I told him I didn’t love him.”
She leans down and presses her lips to mine “Besides, I don’t know if you’re aware but I’m kinda interested in someone else….” She trails off.
“Who is he? Ill beat his fucking ass” I smirk at her which makes her chuckle.
“Seriously B, nothing would make me go back to Weston. Please trust me when I say that.”
I pull her tighter to me and kiss her again, this time running my tongue along the seam of her lips so she opens for me. Her breathy moan makes my cock instantly hard beneath her as her tongue explores mine. I slide my hand up her bare leg, squeezing the outside of her thigh under the skirt of her uniform. I suppress the groan in my throat as her hips roll, pushing against my hardened length. A book falling to the floor a few aisles over startles us both, causing us to calm ourselves quickly.
“Ugh, fuck” I say, reaching between us and adjusting my cock that is straining against the front of my pants. Sky looks down, smirking as she runs the tip of her finger over the bulge. I wrap my fingers around her wrist and lean close to her ear “Unless you want me to bend you over and fuck you against the almanacs I would suggest you keep those sexy little fingers of yours to yourself.”
Her face flames as her eyebrows shoot up.
Fuck, she’s even sexy when she’s blushing.
“Where’s your tongue ring?” She asks, biting that bottom lip of hers.
“I usually take it out for school” I reply.
“You shouldn’t, I really like it” she says, reminding me of our night together.
Skylar stands, grabbing her book and moving to the chair across from me. I take out my AirPods and turn on a punk playlist, letting her finish studying while I watch her.

By the time lunch rolls around, I am already itching to see Skylar again.
This girl has me hooked.
I get to the table our group has claimed in the corner of the cafeteria and I see Skylar is already sitting there, talking to Bash about the test they both took in their shared second period class.
Last night on the phone, Sky asked that we keep our PDA down for a while. She knew that even though Weston had cheated on her, if she were to show interest in someone so soon after they split the rumors about her would be vicious. Protecting her was the only reason I agreed to go along with it.
Sitting down next to her I opened my water and listened to her and Bash talk about the test. I had the same class just in a different period so I was trying to gauge how difficult my afternoon was going to be.
Sky’s phone lit up on the table but she was looking at Bash didn’t seem to notice so I handed it to her, seeing Maisie was sending her a text. She opened it and looked across the room, rolling her eyes before furiously typing away on the phone. I followed her gaze to where she had just been looking and see Weston at her former table, with my cousin perched on his lap. I could also see most of the kids in the cafeteria whispering and staring at the sight before them.
“What’s wrong?” I ask her when she sets the phone down, her easy-going mood from a few minutes ago dissipating.r />
“He’s over there telling everyone he dumped me” she says.
“What does it matter?” I ask her, confused.
“It matters because most of the kids who go here, their parents are friends with mine. Weston and my breakup will be our parents gossip before the day is over.”
“But you were going to tell them anyway so what does it matter if they find out now or in a few days?” I ask, rubbing her leg under the table to try and help calm her down a little.
She lets out an exasperated growl. Which, I’ll admit, is cute as fuck coming from her.
“You’re right” she says, sounding resigned.
I will never understand her fear of telling her parents about the breakup. The fact she is so scared to tell them has me feeling both pissed off that she won’t tell them for our sake, and pissed off that she’s that afraid of them.
“Just tell them Sky, it will honestly make it all so much easier on you” I say.
She shrugs and picks at her lunch on her plate while Bash starts in on a story about some teacher and student that apparently were caught again sleeping with each other after getting caught earlier in the summer.

Football practice has been filled with tension since coach told Wes and I we had to work for the chance to start this season. Not from me, I couldn’t really give a rip, but from Wes.
Skylar told me the other night that his father pushes him hard, and failing in any aspect wouldn’t go over well in the Montgomery house.
Thankfully my dad has always supported Breanne and I in whatever we did, never pushing us to be perfect but always pushing us to strive to be our best for ourselves.
The girls are not out on the field today, sadly. They’re holding their tryouts in the gym.
“Hey Weston, what’s up with you and Stephy?” I overhear Jamison, one of the defensive tackles ask.
“Nothing serious, just a little side piece” he answers as he throws the ball, picking up another one from the bin between us and working his fingers between the laces.
I grit my teeth, grabbing a ball and hurling towards the assistant QB coach who is standing 20 yards up catching my passes. I shouldn’t feel bad for Stephy, I tried to tell her that Weston was a Grade A dickweed and she still persisted in chasing him even though she knew he had a girlfriend. But still, she is my cousin even if I don’t like her actions from the last few weeks.
“Well, if you’re done with Sky… you mind? Fuck that girl is hot” he asks. Both Weston and I turn to look at him. It takes every fiber of self-control I possess not to launch myself at him and beat his face in.
“Fuck off, Jamison” Weston growls, his words laced with pure malice.
Jamison backs away, his hands up “It’s cool man, bro code. I get it.”
“Fucking douche” he mumbles under his breath.
“He’s not the only one” I murmur. I throw another pass, a perfect spiral, to the coach.
“What did you say, Tucker?” Weston turns to me, his jaw ticking.
“I said, Montgomery, that he isn’t the only one. Just to make myself crystal clear, I meant he’s not the only douche.” I don’t even look at him as I say it, I pass another ball to coach.
It’s only a second before he’s on top of me, throwing me to the ground. He lands a punch to the right side of my face, the stinging pain splintering through my jaw. I throw a punch and hit him in the mouth, his lip splitting instantly.
Using my weight advantage I roll him off of me, pinning him down before I throw another punch to his jaw.
He swings out, hitting my right eye just before I am pulled off of him by two of the players.
“You’re bleeding, Montgomery” I smirk, wiping his blood from my hand onto my shorts.
“LOCKER ROOM, YOU TWO, NOW” coach bellows and I feel myself being pulled by Jamison and Samuel off the field.
Coach has Weston by the back of his shirt, guiding him in front of him. He slams him down in the seat next to me where the two players had just deposited me.
“You two assholes…” he points at Wes, then me “are supposed to be the leaders of this team. Even though I haven’t named QB1 yet, you both should still be exhibiting leadership.” He growls.
“He called me…” Wes starts but coach cuts him off.
“What is this, fifth grade? I don’t give a shit what he called you. We do not throw punches on my field. You know the rule. Both of you shower and dress, and don’t come back the rest of the week. You’ll be lucky if I decide to put either of you assholes in for the first game. Hell, I may put Carsen in!” He yells.
“Carsen’s the kicker…” Wes says, confused.
“Exactly my point, I would rather him out there than you two fools” he says, walking to the door.
“Now, like I said, get your asses changed and get the hell out of my locker room.” He slams the door, the glass rattling as he does.
Wes leaves the office, grabbing his bag and walking out of the locker room. I grab a towel and shower, changing back into my uniform.
Instead of heading home, I take the door that leads out into the gymnasium. I spot Skylar sitting at a table with Maisie and some other girls I recognize but don’t know their names.
She looks up from her clipboard and sees me, a small smile playing on her lips before she looks at her phone and back to me. Her eyebrows furrow and she cocks her head, silently asking why I am already out of practice.
I take a seat on the bleachers and take my phone out, tapping out a text.
Barron: I may or may not have gotten into a fight with Weston, coach sent us both home and we’re not allowed at practice for the rest of the week.
I see her look down, and her eyes shoot to mine when she reads it.
Skylar: You can tell me the details after this but most importantly, are you ok?
I smile, this girl never ceases to amaze me.
Barron: I’m sure I will have a good bruise tomorrow but I’m good.
Skylar: I’ll kiss it and make it better <
Barron: my dick.
I hear her laugh across the room and smile.
Skylar: Well I can definitely be your nurse…
Barron: If there is a costume involved in this I am so down.
Skylar: You’re impossible. Drive me home?
Barron: You know it.
She goes back to watching the girls who are trying out for cheer. I pull out my Calculus book and start in on my homework, my earbuds blaring the latest New Found Glory album. I plan to take Sky home with me, and the less distractions like homework, the better.
A little while later an earbud is pulled from my ear as Breanne takes the spot next to me on the empty bleachers.
“What’s going on with you and Skylar?” She asks, staring across the gym at a girl who is fumbling through a routine of some sort.
“Hello to you too, Sis” I reply.
“Hi. Now, what’s going on with you and Skylar?”
“Why do you think something is going on with us?” I ask her, even though I know the answer. Because she is so quiet, she is also perceptive as hell, something that apparently runs in the Tucker family.
She just looks over at me, a deadpan expression on her face.
“I don’t know the answer to that, honestly. I dig her, and I think she likes me but there is some baggage there…” I answer her question.
She nods before she speaks “Don’t hurt her, B. I love you but I also know you haven’t ever had a serious relationship in your life.”
“Don’t worry little sister, I won’t hurt your precious cheer captain” I wink at her.
“That’s not why and you know it, you pompous asshole. I like her, she is a good person and she has been really sweet to me over the last week. I saw you two the other night at the party, and I saw the way you were looking at her. She isn’t like Jillian and the other girls.”
I know that. I am well aware that Skylar is different, hell she makes me
different. I want to be what she needs, what she hasn’t ever had.
“No worries, B. I promise to be a good boy.”
She rolls her eyes, shoving me in the shoulder. “I don’t even know how we’re related.”
She hops off the bleachers and runs back across the gym, waiting for her tryout time. I go back to my calculus book, but not before stealing a secret smile from my girl across the way.
Chapter 22
Skylar
Even though I asked Barron to take me home he persuaded me to come to his house to study and have dinner.
So here I am, sitting on Barron’s bed and working on my Calculus homework.
“I wish you’d just copy my paper so you could be finished” Barron says, toying with the hem of my tank top. I had already taken off my blazer and my button up, leaving me in my tank top and skirt.
“Then I wouldn’t learn anything” I reply, writing an answer on the paper.
“I can teach you lots, you just have to put the books away and let me get you naked” he says, leaning forward and nipping my shoulder before taking a deep breath.
I chuckle, looking over at him as he rests his chin on my shoulder. His green eyes sparkling.
“Just let me finish then you can have me for a few hours, I need to make sure I am free of distractions for when I go home to talk to Bitchy McBitcherson about my breakup with Wes.”
To say that my evening plans are giving me anxiety is a huge understatement. My mother is going to fly off the handle when I tell her about Weston.
“Do you want me to come with you?” He asks.
I shake my head no “That would make it worse. ‘Hey Mother, I dumped Wes but I want you to meet my new…” I trail off, busying myself with my Calculus and praying he didn’t hear that.
“You were going to say boyfriend” he teases me, causing my face to flush.
