by J. S. Marlo

“I love you with all my heart, Shamrock.” His hand trapped hers against his heart, and he stroked the bare finger that had worn a golden ring most of her adult life. “Would it be too soon to ask you to become my wife?”

The tip of her tongue wet her lips as she gazed at him with mesmerizing green eyes. “Are you asking if it’s too soon to ask…or are you proposing?”

Good question. “What if I say both?”

A smile stretched across her face. “You want me to tell Ro you proposed in a car parked at the corner of…” She craned her neck toward the window. “Dead End Street and Lonesome Road?”

Laughter erupted from deep inside his chest and echoed through the car as he wrapped her in his arms. “Not very romantic, is it?”

“Nope, but if you were to take me to a cozy Italian bistro and propose over dessert…” Her lips brushed his lobe as she murmured in his ear. “I’ll give you the answer you want to hear.”

Only one restaurant was worthy of such a special event. He eased away and looked into her eyes. “Would you like to have dinner with me at Casa Grigia tonight?”

  “I would love it.”

  Biography

Born and raised in a small French Canadian town, J.S. Marlo spent her childhood reading and daydreaming stories, but after high school, she set aside pen and paper to earn a business degree.

Military wife and mother of three spirited children, J.S. faced many challenges as her young family moved back and forth across the country. The “memorable” adventures she experienced fueled her imagination and rekindled her passion for writing.

J.S. Marlo is now settled down with her husband in northern Alberta from where she enjoys writing and visiting her grown children…and her little granddoggie.

Unscripted is her second novel, and the first book in the Duty Bound Series.
