Triangle Page 32

by Sara L Daigle

With the deterioration of her mother’s health, Tamara doesn’t know where to turn for answers or solace. What has her family been hiding? Why does she feel inexplicably drawn to the Azellians? What will happen if she unleashes her long-suppressed passion? Will she survive or even recognize herself afterwards? Wanting answers, yet being afraid of what she might find, Tamara wonders if it would be better to remain asleep.

  Acknowledgments

Every author lives in a complicated web of relationships that contribute to the creation of a story, but there are some very special people I’d like to acknowledge as having contributed intimately to Triangle. First, my editor. All authors are very grateful to their editors (or should be!), but I have a very special thanks to extend to Donna Mazzitelli. Without you, Donna, this book would be very, very different—especially as the editing process turned into a total rewriting project. You deserve awards for your editorial skill and kudos for the editorial magic you weave. I am honored to be a part of your cast of authors!

I’d also like to thank my family and friends. Your words of encouragement and excitement about the first book and your desire for more helped encourage me to persist, even despite the sometimes frustrating moments when I faced the certain knowledge that this story had to be rewritten. Persistence is the mark of any successful author, sometimes in the face of intense self-criticism and doubt about whether one’s story will work out. It has—and the very special people who support and care about me are a very large part of this outcome.

A very special thanks goes out to my endlessly supportive and patient husband, Troy. It’s not easy to live with someone whose head is in the clouds most of the time, and yet you remain as excited about all of this as I am and let me ramble on and on about some new plot twist or backstory that has come up.

Most of all, thank you, blessed, wonderful readers, for sharing the world I am building and the very real people who live in it. Thank you for reading and falling in love with these characters who continue to show me more dimensions of who they are. I hope you enjoy the continuing adventures of Tamara, Merran, Alarin, and the entire crew!

  About the Author

Sara L. Daigle has been creating stories since she first forayed into the world of writing at the age of eight. As an avid reader, growing up in a small town without much access to a library, and before the birth of the Internet, Sara devoured her mother’s extensive stack of science fiction and romance novels to keep her literary thirst quenched. Soon afterwards, she began writing her own stories and entertaining her friends by composing plays for them to act out.

A passionate interest in astronomy, anthropology, and linguistics, coupled with this early background in science fiction and romance, led Sara to merge the two fields and create a series of interlinked stories built around a fictional planet’s culture and its interaction with ours. Her first book, Alawahea: Book One of the Azellian Affairs, has won numerous awards, bringing to life her message of tolerance and the journey to acceptance and self-love.

Sara currently lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband and three very loving and energetic dogs.
