Power Forward Page 14

by Sylvain Hotte

Eyes closed, I could sense the crowd around me, players and spectators, who had witnessed the appalling spectacle. And when I collapsed in my turn, I heard the howling of wolves bearing down on me from every direction, ripping me apart with their sharp teeth and feeding on my carcass.

Tommy, my friend, my dear friend… What happened to us? I’ve looked everywhere, reaching out in every direction, but I can’t find any answers. I can’t feel anything at all. Everything’s dark.

The autopsy revealed an unbelievably high level of anabolic steroids in his body. That was why his weakened heart could not withstand the impact.

  Vincent Fradette was arrested.

And as for me, I’ll never play hockey ever again.
