  Acknowledgments

I’ve written several of these and yet I never quite know where to start. I think for this book, I’ll start with Amanda, who gave me the encouragement I needed to write this series and in this genre in the first place, and then say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, to all the readers. Because of your enthusiasm for Getting Lucky Number Seven, I got to dig back into the world of hot hockey players and hang out with Lyla and Beck some more.

Thanks to Alycia Tornetta for being such an awesome editor, and to the rest of the Entangled team for all of your support for my career and my books; Liz Pelletier, Stacy Abrams, Heather Riccio, Jessica Turner, Candace Havens, Debbie Suzuki, and the rest of the team for the Embrace line.

Big thanks to my text-a-friend hockey lifelines, Janette Derucki and Sophia “Wenphia” Henry for all the hockey assists, and answering my texts, even when they’re rambling nonsense. HUGS! While I’m thanking those girls, I might as well give more hugs and thanks to my TZWNDU Book Club gals!

Thanks to Gina Maxwell for pushing me through writing and editing sprints, and for being one of the coolest people I know in general. Xoxo!

I’m not sure how I wrote books before I knew Rachel Harris and Melissa West, but I’m certainly glad that I don’t have to do it without them anymore. Thank you, girls, for the endless emails and messages, and for being awesome cheerleaders in both my writing and life in general. So glad I have you girls in my corner.

Thanks to the Colorado Indie Authors for the fabulous, informative and supportive lunches, and to Evangeline Denmark, Brandy Vallance, and Carla Laureano for all the funny messages that keep me going and laughing—you girls make writing “alone” at home so much more fun!

Many thanks to Ben Coon for answering all my questions about college athletics—it helped a ton. Also, thanks for being an awesome uncle to my kiddos.

Finally, thanks as always, to my family. To Kylie, who plays mom half the time so I can get in more writing. And to my other two little cuties, from the hand-written notes, to asking about my day. I’m so lucky I have such sweet kiddos. Big thanks to Michael, who endures crazy writer brain and answers endless questions and just lets me talk, even if I never take your suggestions—sometimes I do, though, I swear! I love you for telling me to go for it when I decided I wanted to be an author.

Big thanks to everyone who picks up this book or any of my others! I super appreciate each and every one of you!

  About the Author

Cindi Madsen is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting, revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a pretty new pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music and dancing and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely not all year long) with her husband and three children.
