Glazov's Legacy (Born Bratva Book 2) Page 15

by Steele, Suzanne

“Who are you bringing in for your VP?” I ask him.

He looks at Novak and jokingly replies, “Well, since you won’t let me have him, I’m bringing in Roderick.”

I laugh at the irony of bringing another crazy man in. Seriously, we’re talking about a man who cut off his girlfriend’s finger!

“He’s crazy too. He sliced off a woman’s finger, and then he kept her as his ole lady.”

“Yeah, yeah, he did,” Tiny replies, nodding his head before he continues in a more serious tone. “But that was just following a mandate from the governor.”

“Well, it will be good for you to have some political ties.”

  “That’s what we’re thinking. Roderick’s ruthless, but he’s levelheaded.”

I leave the meeting feeling confident that, by this time tomorrow, I will have avenged Ivan’s nephew and, hopefully, saved the boy’s relationship with his woman.

  Chapter Thirty Seven

  Glazov

I lean back in my office chair and dial my wife’s number.

  “Yes, Glazov.”

“That’s what I want to hear, always yes from you.”

“Well, of course, love. Your wish is my command.”

“Damn straight it is. Speaking of wishes, we’ll be having a private dinner later—just you and me, dinner and a movie.”

“Alright, Glazov, I’m going to ask you what you always ask me; what are you up to?”

“Can’t a guy want to have dinner and a movie with his wife without being up to something?”

  “I guess so.”

I can hear the suspicion in her voice, but that’s fine with me because I’ve spent twenty years purposely putting it there. I don’t want her, or anyone else I deal with, to ever be able to read me. It’s just who I am, and this is just another way of maintaining control. A man in my position has to not only have, but also keep, the upper hand. In no way do I ever underestimate my little firecracker of a wife. She’s always up to something, and I’m always watching my little Ptichka.

  Kathleen

I can’t help but feel like my husband is planning something. I push down the fear in my chest that he knows I broke into his office. Glazov has mastered the art of keeping anyone he deals with guessing. It’s a form of control for him, and I hate that it’s working on me.

I start going over in my mind how he would react if he does know. The problem with trying to predict different scenarios is that nothing is set in stone when it comes to his masterful mind fucks.

The biggest challenge I have now is getting through the day without stressing about it. I won’t know until he reveals his hand because that is just how he operates. Everything my husband does is with precision and purposeful intent.

I’m debating going back to his office and making certain I didn’t leave anything out of order. I counted my LED strips, and they were all accounted for, but now I’m scared I moved a pen or accidently put a piece of paper in upside down in the filing cabinet. I’m going to have to get a grip. My thoughts are running amok, and I’ll be a nervous wreck by the time he gets home if I don’t calm down.

  Chapter Thirty Eight

  Glazov

I push my way through the bedroom door with a cart carrying our dinner entrees, champagne, strawberries, and anything else we might want during our time alone. I don’t want any interruptions, and I’ve already notified my staff that we are not to be disturbed.

My wife eyes me with suspicion as I pull the cart up next to the bed, dressed in nothing but a pair of drawstring pants. She looks sexy in her little boy shorts and matching cotton camisole. It’s one of my favorite looks on her. The fact that it’s white, and I can see her tits through it isn’t hurting either.

“Are you ready for dinner and a movie with your husband?” I ask, ignoring her look of wariness.

“We have staff to do that, you know.”

“I don’t want any interruptions, and I asked you a question.”

“Yes, as a matter of fact I think it’s a very romantic gesture. I am ready for a quiet evening with the man of my dreams.”

“The man of your dreams, huh? Don’t you mean the man of your nightmares? And as far as the romance aspect is concerned, you know me; I’m the picture of ruthless romance.”

  “A very fitting term indeed.”

I pour a flute of Dom Perignon for her and a shot of chilled U’luvka Vodka for me. She cautiously takes it from my hand.

“A toast, Ptichka, to twenty more years with the only woman who has ever been able to keep me on my toes.”

For a brief second, a flash of fear crosses over her visage, and my cock jumps.

“To twenty more years of being with the only man I’ve ever loved.”

She downs the champagne after a clink of our glasses solidifies the toast, and I restrain a chuckle.

  Yeah, she’s scared.

I toss the shot of vodka back and pour another drink for the both of us.

“Okay, that works for me,” I tell her.

She knows I’m addressing the fact that she downed the flute of champagne awfully quick, and once again, I toss a chilled shot of vodka back, enjoying the feeling of warmth it produces in my chest. This time, she drinks about half of her champagne and then sets the flute down off to the side. I pick up a strawberry and watch as she takes a bite, juice running down her chin. When she attempts to wipe it away with her hand, I seize her wrist and prevent her.

I bend down, licking it off and relishing in the trembling of her body in response to my actions. Even after twenty years, our sex life is off the charts. I tear off a strip of lobster from its shell and dip it in butter, purposely allowing it to drip on her camisole when she opens her mouth to take it.

  “Take off the top, Ptichka.”

When I sense her hesitation, my voice drops an octave and comes out in a more commanding tone.

“Take the fucking top off, or I’m cutting it off.”

She reaches down, grabs the shirt’s hem, and pulls it over her head. I set the lobster down and gently reach for her, running my fingers beneath her breast and strumming my thumb back and forth over her nipple.

“Fuck, Glazov,” she groans, looking at me with helpless yearning in her eyes.

Oh, I do love that look of need she gives me when I play her body like an instrument. Still standing next to the bed looking down on her, I feed her lobster. In between bites and shots, because she’s now joined me in drinking the chilled U’luvka, my fingers intermittently touch, rub, and stroke various parts of her skin. When we’re finished eating, I reach down and wiggle the boy shorts from her body.

“I thought we were watching a movie,” I love the distress I hear in her voice right now.

I grab the remote and pull her sideways across the bed, commanding her to watch the TV as I bury my face between her legs.

She immediately panics when the snow filled screen disappears and she views the recording of her breaking into my office. She starts trying to escape my grasp and is successful… to a point. She’s scooting backwards, trying to scurry away. I know my wife, and if I release her, she’ll take off in a full speed run with no thought to the fact that she’s butt ass naked. I jump up from where I’m kneeling by the bed and jerk her back by her ankles to subdue her. She’s kicking, wiggling, and fighting to try and get away from me. I grab at the skin on her inner thigh and viciously pinch, twisting at the same time. She immediately stops.

  “Don’t fuck with me, Ptichka!”

She nods her head in acquiescence, and I stare down at her while removing my drawstring pants. I roughly toss one of her legs over my shoulder and, in one swift stroke, thrust deeply inside her. When my cock is buried to the hilt, I stop, glaring down at her like I hate her because that’s exactly how I’m going to fuck her.

  “Turn it off, Glazov, please.”

My only answer is to pull my cock out and forcefully thrust it back into her. I watch her back arch as she fists the sheets, clenching her hands like it wil
l relieve the pleasure/pain I’m inflicting on her. I know she has submitted to my treatment of her when her eyes roll back in her head.

“I especially like this part,” I say, forcing her to face the TV screen. “Picking the lock to get in, and then using infrared strips on your face to blind the camera. It’s fucking genius, girl. When are you going to get it though? I’m always one step ahead of you.”

I grab her hips, fucking her hard until I get right to the point of coming, and then I pull myself back.

“What are you looking for, you nosy little girl.”

I smack her hand away when she tries to rub her clit so she can come.

She screams a response, angry because I won’t let her orgasm until I get the information I want.

“Logan was doing an exposé on Bratva, and I had to know if you had plans to kill her. Our son loves her.”

“You’re always underestimating me; I already know that.”

I can’t hold off any longer; I have to fuck this woman who still drives me crazy after all these years.

“Go ahead and play with that clit of yours, Ptichka, because I’m fucking that need you have to try and control me right out of you.”

  Kathleen

My body is on fire. I’m so turned on right now that my libido is overriding any fear regarding Glazov knowing about the exposé.

My husband has this way of mixing a mind fuck with a physical fuck, and it’s such a turn-on that I feel like I’m going to scream.

How the hell he managed to get a tape of me breaking into his office is beyond me, but right now, I really don’t care. His cock is filling me up, yet he’s not allowing me satisfaction, and it’s making me crazy.

  “I’ll do anything, Glazov. I’ll beg, I’ll plead… Please, please, please…”

His only answer is to resume violently thrusting in and out of me while he studies the expression on my face. My head explodes and my body lurches off the bed when I’m finally allowed to come. My body is a limp puddle of satisfaction after the orgasm, now pliant and unresisting to his hate fuck.

Tomorrow is soon enough to determine how he accomplished recording the break-in and what he knows about the exposé. Some part of my psyche needs to ascertain what I missed, probably because I know this won’t be my last my attempt to outwit him. Right now, though, there is only Glazov and submitting to all the things he subjects my body to.

  Chapter Thirty Nine

  Kathleen

Coming out of the shower the next morning, I see my husband rummaging around in my office, openly going through every piece of paper on my desk. After rubbing the water from my hair, I toss the towel to the side and secure the belt on my robe.

“What is this, Glazov? Tit for tat? I went through your office, so now you have to go through mine.”

It sounds odd admitting to a transgression so high up on his ‘forbidden things to do’ list.

He turns and eyes me coldly. Despite the icy reception he’s giving me, I can admit he’s looking damn handsome today. He’s dressed in a tailored, navy blue suit with a baby blue and white pinstriped shirt, cufflinks, and a patterned tie with a tie clip. His shoulder-length hair is tied back in a ponytail, showing off his large diamond stud earring.

Honestly, he’s so good looking that it’s distracting. He stalks his way over to me, wearing the look of a predator, and he instantly ignites my body’s instinct to go into fight or flight mode. It’s an involuntary response and one I’ve become quite acquainted with whenever he is in my presence.

He toys with the belt on my robe, and the sneer on his face clearly conveys just how pissed he is.

  “Full disclosure, right Ptichka?”

I close my eyes and bite my upper lip.

“Are you going to kill her?” I ask, wishing I could control the tremble in my voice.

“What do you think I am, a cold-blooded monster? She’s in the dungeon.”

He says it like it’s no big deal, just an everyday occurrence. I guess in our world, it kind of is.

My knees threaten to buckle beneath me, and he grabs hold of me as if he senses it.

“Don’t worry, she’ll be fine. Kodiak is with her—outside her cell, of course.”

“Oh my God, I’m going to be sick.”

Tearing away from him, I make it to the toilet just in time, right as the acrid taste of bile starts to burn the back of my throat.

His laughter rings through the air right before he speaks.

  “You’re not pregnant, are you?”

The bastard knows I’m not pregnant; he’s being his normal asshole self.

After he finally leaves, I rush back out to my office to get my cell phone, hoping he hasn’t taken it just to be a dick. Katrina is the one and only person I can talk to about this. I don’t even care if Glazov watches the surveillance later and hears me talking to her. There’s only one thing on my mind right now—saving Logan.

  Glazov

Novak skeptically eyes me from across the desk in my office at the gambling house.

“So, how did you deal with your curious little kitten?”

“You and I both know your curious little kitten probably knew all about Kathleen’s little breaking and entering stunt, and she didn’t say a damn word about it.”

“Innocent until proven guilty, cuz. If my wife would have been the one on that tape, I would have dealt with her.”

“I hear you, but it still doesn’t change the fact that our women are partners in crime.”

“I think it’s funny that they get in so much trouble together. Besides, it gives me a reason to discipline her. What did you do to her? I’m dying of curiosity now.”

“You’re as kinky as I am, you sick fuck. I told her we were having a date night. I brought in the whole spread—you know, dinner and a movie.”

“You are a grade-A bastard, Glazov.”

“Guilty as charged. You should have seen the look on her face when the movie started.”

  “What did she do?”

“She tried to run away, and let’s just say that I didn’t allow her to get far!”

We’re both laughing when my cell phone rings, interrupting our conversation. The screen’s display tells me it’s Tiny, so I hold up a finger to Novak, signifying that I have to take the call. I set the phone down on the desk between us so Novak can be a part of the imminent discussion.

“You’re on speaker, Tiny, and Novak is here in the office with me.”

  “Just Novak?”

  “Yes,” I answer him.

“We finished working on your bike last night… It’s ready to be picked up whenever you want it.”

“Great! I’ll be glad to have it back. Any problems with the engine?”

He knows exactly what I am asking. He is letting me know they bombed the skinheads’ house, giving me back my territory, and I’m asking him if there were any problems during the plan’s execution. A lot can go wrong when dealing with explosives. That’s the reason I picked the best in the business to get the job done.

“None at all, Glazov. My mechanics know what they’re doing. We were able to take out all the problem pistons, rebuild the engine, and it’s running like new.”

That’s his way of letting me know all the key gang members were inside the house when it exploded.

“Very good. Thanks so much, and I’ll be talking to you soon. Call me when your friend Roderick gets to town, and we’ll all have a drink together.”

“Will do, man. Talk to you soon.”

After hanging up the phone, I smile at my cousin.

“Things are going very well. Now, we only have the issue of Logan left to contend with.”

  Kathleen

After reaching for my cell phone that, thankfully, is still sitting on my desk, I change my mind and grab one of my hidden burners instead. Feeling relieved he didn’t rifle through my desk drawers and find them, I collapse down into my plush leather office chair, still dressed in my robe. I love the fact that my bedroom is designed lik
e an apartment. It’s so convenient to have my office and my dressing room adjoining the master bedroom. They’re still separate rooms, yet they were constructed in such a way that they’re set apart from the rest of the mansion, affording more privacy which I love. This is one of those mornings that I definitely don’t want to face anyone. My first priority is to make sure Logan stays safe and unharmed. Hell, I’ll settle for alive at this point.

My hands are noticeably shaking as I dial Katrina’s number. I feel so grateful that she and Novak moved here, especially at times like this. Not only did I get a new friend, but she is also a trustworthy partner in crime when I need help conspiring.

As soon as she answers, I begin speaking. I’m really upset about Logan, so there’s no doubt she’ll be able to hear the anxiety in my voice.

“Are you somewhere you can talk?” I ask, hoping Novak isn’t with her.

“Yes, I’m at home alone. What’s up?”

“Glazov has kidnapped Logan. She’s down in the dungeon, locked in the cell.”

“Oh my God! They must have done this last night. I was just working with her yesterday, and everything was fine.”

“You know how they are. They’re like wild animals, waiting until just the right moment to strike. I’m scared he’s going to kill her, Katrina.”

“Do you honestly think he’d do that, even with Kodiak being in love with her and all?”

“I don’t know what he’ll do; he’s fucking crazy. Last night he set up a date night for us, telling me we were going to have dinner and a movie at home. When he started the movie, it was a surveillance tape of me breaking into his office.”

“How in the hell did he find out about that? I thought you were careful to cover your tracks. You did all that research! You know what, Kathleen? He must have more than one camera in that office. They do the same thing with the safes. They have a dummy one set up that looks like the mansion safe, and then they have another hidden one that’s real. These Bratva boys think about every little detail of every little thing they do.”
