Maelstrom of Treason Page 40

Where do we go from here?

Right now, I am a little past editing chapter 11 for Opus X Book 07. I probably have a week to finish another 100,000 words of editing and then off to the beta readers (for story), professional editors (because you and I both know I shouldn’t be allowed to edit for grammar.)

My schoolteachers in high school and college can attest to that fact, trust me.

Then, it goes to the JIT post-edit group to catch any final mistakes, and we put it up for distribution to all of the lovely stores which sell this series.

Meanwhile, the next book is in production.

  MORE ANIMATION ON THE WAY

(Make sure you stick around after the “very end” for the last little bit.)

Judith and I held a meeting with Gene, Sasha, and Cody (Gene Mollica Studios) last week related to the we need to build in 3D same as the car (Taxútnta).

And by we, I believe I mean Cody.

Nevertheless, we need to build this for ANOTHER AWESOME VIDEO for OPUS X!

This video is going to tell a small story about Erik and Jia getting out of trouble…fast. Nothing like explosions going on behind you to encourage a person to put their feet up and down double-time and a little pedal-to-the-metal.

Well, if the Taxútnta had anything like pedals. Does it have pedals? I’ll have to ask the guys to let me see inside the 3D model. The models are created for the covers first (meaning, we need them to use on the covers) as well as incidental artwork and video production work. They aren’t cheap, but they are worth the effort to get the looks I’m going for.

ANOTHER DAY IS JUST ANOTHER DAY INSIDE

So, excluding a run to the grocery store this morning, I’ve been inside our condo, and it is driving me nucking futs. I took my first two days of vacation last Thursday and Friday, and even my stay-cation was inside this condo.

I’m so glad I never got a boat so I could try out tiny-house living. I now realize I am wholly unprepared both mentally and emotionally to handle a tiny house. I need/want/desire a bit more square footage. While I would like to claim it is the vast amount of space creativity needs, I really believe it has less to do with that and more that I’m antsy being stuck inside.

I hope you and your family are well during this time of isolation for the world.

APPARENTLY – DARK PEANUTS SHOULD NOT BE EATEN

So, I’m typing these notes, and I have a can of Planters Lightly Salted Cocktail Peanuts. First, let me tell you I bought two (2) cans of those things and really wish I hadn’t. Not because the peanuts are bad (they aren’t), but I now realize that some things in abundance…like salt on peanuts… should always be in abundance.

Lightly salted is just wrong. I need more salt on my peanuts.

Second, those peanuts that I have been dodging (dark-covered peanuts) actually should not be eaten. They might just have the inner lining on them, or they might be deadly. I’m not sure. To me, they taste atrocious and only through great willpower (and not wishing to mess up my monitor) did I not spit it back out.

Score (1) point for self-control—but it was close.

Ready for a story in your mind? If you haven’t listened to these books on audio with Greg Tremblay narrating, I think you will enjoy the experience. If you like audio, do try them out.

See you at the end of Opus X Book 07!

  Ad Aeternitatem,
