Trevor positioned himself on top of her and pushed his cock inside her, thrusting into her with a power that was so hungry and dominating; it turned her on even more, if that was possible. Jules moaned as he held her against the bed, pinning her down but pleasuring her with each thrust of his massive dick.
She writhed on the bed beneath him, lifting her hips with each swing of his, allowing him to go as deep as possible inside her pussy.
“Fuck,” she moaned, digging her nails into his back, “that feels so good, Trevor.”
Trevor growled in response, shoving his cock deep into her roughly, making her breasts bounce with each thrust.
“Come for me! Come for me!” he breathed as he continued to fill her with his cock. She didn’t need the encouragement. As her orgasm overtook her, she cried out in ecstasy until it subsided, and her screams faded to whimpers.
Wave after wave of mind-numbing sensations washed over her, leaving her speechless in the moment. She dragged her nails down his back, causing him to thrust into her even deeper than before.
“Fuck,” he grunted, and before she knew it, he took her roughly by the waist, flipped her over onto her knees, and shoved his cock into her from behind.
Jules gasped in surprise and pleasure as she gripped the headboard. He slammed his cock into her, keeping on hand gripped on her waist and the other on her breast.
Jules couldn’t remember the last time she had sex this good, and she never wanted the moment to end. She was so wrapped up in the passion of being with him, she wished this would last a lifetime.
But she could feel in his body he wasn’t going to last much longer than she had; once she came, it was clear he was going to also. He flipped her back around, so he could see her face as he got close to his orgasm.
Jules watched his face as he thrust into her haphazardly, and she saw the exact moment when his expression flickered into one of ecstasy, and he came, filling her with his massive load.
She smiled with satisfaction as he remained inside her for a moment longer, breathing hard from exertion. She wiggled her hips, causing him to twitch from the sensations of still being inside her post-orgasm. Neither of them said anything, and he simply pulled himself out of her, leaving her with a feeling that she was now missing something.
He rolled over on the bed, and Jules crawled up, laying her head on his chest and snuggling into him as he put his arm around her.
She didn’t know what any of this meant. And, at the moment, she didn’t care. All that mattered was what they were doing right then. And no matter what Trevor was after, at that moment, she was the one in his arms.
And at the back of her mind, she believed she could stay there if she so chose.
If she decided this is what she wanted, she would make it happen.
And that was all there was to it.
Chapter Twelve
Trevor drummed his fingers on his desk as he gazed idly out the window. He was thinking about the night before and how much fun it had been. It was rare for him to ever think about a woman after he fucked her, save for the fact he would tell her that it was a one-time thing.
Often, he would simply move on with his life and hope they would get the message to not contact him, but it was different with all of them. There were the women he never heard from again, and then there were those who basically planned their wedding after one night of sex.
With Jules, things were different. He was thinking about her, but he was thinking about her in the sense that he wanted to have her again. He didn’t want to think about the possibility of her not wanting him either.
Trevor didn’t know what she wanted out of the relationship, and for all he knew she could have just been having fun with him that night, rather than wanting to start something more, but in the back of his mind, he hoped he would get to have her again.
As he stared out the window, he thought about how she had gotten up much earlier than he had that morning. He had told her she could shower if she wanted to, but he had been too groggy to remember what she said. To his knowledge, she had just gathered her things and left, but he didn’t remember for sure.
All he could remember clearly was that his bed felt very large and very empty without her. He felt an actual yearning for her to be in his bed with him, but she was gone. It was almost as if she had taken the warmth with her too.
Once she had gotten up, he had found that it was impossible for him to get comfortable again, or to even drift back into a restful sleep. He tossed and turned for a while before giving up and getting out of bed.
As he sipped his coffee before heading to the office himself, he had tried to think of the last time he had felt that way about anyone. It was rare for him to bring any woman home. Once they knew where he lived, there was the chance they would come back and stalk him when things didn’t go as they had dreamed they would.
As a result, he made sure to take them to hotels or have them host at their place whenever he was in the mood to hook up with someone. Of course, the occasional broom closet was thrown into the mix every now and then, just to keep things as exciting.
But with Jules, he had wanted to take her home from the first time they had grabbed a drink together. He had no trouble taking her back to his house—showing her the way, in fact. He hadn’t even had to usher her out the door as soon as morning hit.
There was a connection Trevor felt with her that he hadn’t felt with anyone before, and he wanted to see what would happen if he were to pursue it.
His mind was just starting to drift into the what ifs, when he was suddenly brought back to the present by Theresa.
“There are some men here to see you,” Theresa’s voice spoke into his intercom.
He frowned. He wasn’t expecting anyone, so it was either the men from the other day, or it was some pissed off client who was going to demand his attention right then and there. Neither one seemed like a good option, but he knew he had to see them regardless.
“Send them in,” he said, pushing the button to the intercom. He intertwined his fingers and waited, silently hoping that it wasn’t the men from a few days prior.
But it was.
“Mr. Strome! So good of you to not keep us waiting this time!” Sucre said when he walked into the room. He held out his hands in an open gesture, and Trevor smiled with a nod, though he made no effort to welcome them into the office.
“What brings you gents my way?” he asked, ignoring the greeting.
“Well, you see, something’s happened, and we thought it might be a good idea to talk to you about it before things got out of hand,” Sucre said pleasantly as he sat down at the desk. The other two men stood near the door, and they stared at Trevor with the cold gaze they often used.
“Oh? And what’s that?” Trevor asked, turning his attention back to Sucre.
“Well, you see, I’ve gotten a call from one of the bosses the other day, and he’s not happy.” He waited, and Trevor raised one of his eyebrows.
“What does that have to do with me?” he asked.
“Well, I thought you might say that. The reason you are going to care about this is because, once the old bosses are gone, things are going to change around here. I don’t need to tell you that many of them are on their last legs as it is, and the man in particular we are talking about is worse off than most.” Sucre drummed his fingers on the desk before leaning forward on his elbows.
“Why are you coming here to tell me this now? Did something happen that you think I need to know about? I’m a busy man, Sucre, you should know better than to waste my time.” Trevor let the annoyance show in his voice, and Sucre laughed.
“Do you realize when things change, they are going to change for everyone? The old rules are going out with the old bosses. You might be able to hide behind your club and their name for now, but once they’re gone, we are going to come down, Strome, and we are going to come down hard. And you will be the first!” He pointed at Trevor from across the desk, and Trevor did what he could to hid
e the tension he felt rising in his chest.
He hated it when these men threatened him, and he knew that was what this was. He was about to say something when his phone buzzed. He glanced down. It was a text from Jules.
Hey, hot stuff. I had a lot of fun working out last night, but I think there are a few more things I might have to learn. Care to show me the ropes tonight?
Though he wanted to smile at her message, he kept his face expressionless. With Sucre and his men on the other side of the room, he wasn’t about to show them he had any kind of emotional connection to anything he was doing on his phone.
The less they knew about his personal life, the better.
“Well, I think we should worry about that kind of stuff when the time comes,” Trevor said as he rose from his chair. He motioned toward the door, indicating Sucre should rise as well. Sucre paused for a moment, giving Trevor a look that told him he was going to rise on his terms, and he wasn’t going to do it even a second sooner.
At last, they gave up on their stand-off and Sucre finally rose, motioning for the other men to exit the room. However, right before he exited, Sucre turned back to Trevor with a sly smile.
“You know, you can keep this little game going as long as you want, but it’s not going to help your case. Once we have the all-clear to get the ball rolling on our terms, we are going to do it. I only hope I get to be the one who waves the gun in your face when your time comes.” He spoke in a low voice so only Trevor could hear them, and though Trevor maintained his cocky attitude, he felt his blood run cold.
If they were to come down on him like that and he was involved with someone, there was no doubt in his mind they would catch anyone they could in the crossfire. It didn’t make any difference to them who got hurt by their actions.
In fact, there was a part of him that was convinced they thrived on causing pain to others, especially those who were innocent.
He said nothing as the man walked out of the room, and closed his door without so much as a word. He saw Theresa look at him with a worried expression in her eyes, but he refused to get her involved.
She already knew too much as far as those men were concerned, and he knew if something were to happen to one of the bosses, it wasn’t going to be long before they came after him—and she would be nothing more than an inconvenience along the way.
He sat back down in his chair, ignoring his phone when it reminded him of the text he hadn’t answered. For the first time in his life, he wished he could tell the girl on the other end of the line he looked forward to seeing her again that night, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
Yet, he couldn’t find it in himself to ignore her. Perhaps he could see her one more time. Just once more and he’d leave her alone, out of harm’s way. He swore to himself after this, he would cut all ties. Taking a deep breath, he texted her back.
Chapter Thirteen
Jules practically jumped when her phone buzzed for this first time in hours. She had been subconsciously checking it every two minutes, but had been zoning out for the past ten. Still in her office, Jules rubbed her eyes and glanced at the clock. It was already past eight. Time flew by when she was waiting for a man to respond to a thirsty text.
Jules had sent the text after contemplating for over an hour if she should even contact him or not. Shouldn’t she wait for him to call first? Was she acting too desperate? Finally, before she could go even crazier, she pressed “Send” and tried to ignore her phone to no avail.
She had obsessively checked her texts throughout the day, almost missing a meeting because she was so preoccupied. She was starting to lose hope by five, but found herself still checking her phone obsessively.
God, what was it about him that made her act this way? He was just so mesmerizing, so sexy, so magnetic. She groaned. She was royally fucked.
Remembering the buzz she heard earlier, she jolted up in her seat and took a deep breath before checking it. With a wave of excitement, she saw that it was Trevor.
How about another time? Care to join me for dinner instead?
Jules bit her lip, trying not to smile, and responded, Sounds wonderful. Where should I meet you?
Immediately, she got a text back.
I’ll pick you up.
After she sent him her work address, she rushed into the bathroom to freshen up. She was still in her work clothes—a sheer chiffon blouse tucked into high-waisted skinny dress pants and modest nude pumps. She clawed her fingers through her hair, smoothing it down with some water. She touched up her makeup, put on some more perfume, and tested out her smile with wide eyes. She looked like a creepy psycho.
She sighed and left the bathroom, shaking her head at her ridiculous giddiness at the thought of this man. What was it about him that was so special? She couldn’t remember the last time she felt this way about someone. Oh, yeah. Richard.
But this was different. She was different. She was no longer afraid at the idea of loving someone, of diving in head-first, not knowing where it would lead.
As Jules grabbed her purse and headed outside to wait for Trevor, she realized this was the first time she felt like actually wanting to try. To make an effort at building something real, and she realized she wanted it bad.
She was jerked out of her thoughts when she saw headlights flashing in the parking lot. Trevor pulled up in front of her and parked. Before she could step forward, he was out of the car and walking over to the passenger side to open the door for her.
“Hi, Jules,” he said with a charming smile. “Hop in.”
“Hi,” she said, suddenly feeling a bit shy. “Thanks for picking me up.”
Once they were in the car, Jules turned to him. “What, no gym today?”
Trevor glanced at her as he turned into the main road, his eyes twinkling. “I was thinking we do something a little different tonight. Just sit back and relax—the ride’s a little long, hope you don’t mind.”
“I don’t mind at all,” she said honestly with a smile. In a daring move, she slipped her hand over his on the gear shift, and felt a shock of warmth when he smoothed his thumb over hers.
Not ones for small talk, neither of them wanted to talk about the weather or their work. Jules found herself laughing at his anecdotes on growing up and surprised herself by sharing more than she ever had with anyone else about her struggles with finding herself in her twenties.
All too soon, Trevor turned into an empty lot near the water. Jules raised her eyebrows. What was he up to? They both got out of the car and walked together near the dock, which was full of boats in all shapes and sizes.
Trevor turned to her as they walked. “I probably should’ve asked you this before, but you don’t get seasick, do you?”
Jules smiled nervously. “No, but I’m not exactly the best swimmer.”
“That’s okay,” he said with a grin, “the sharks will let you ride on their backs.”
Jules’ eyes widened. “Sharks?”
Trevor laughed, his head thrown back and shoulders shaking. “I was just kidding,” he said between chuckles. “There aren’t any sharks around here.”
Jules smacked his shoulder hard and rolled her eyes. “What’s going on, anyway? What are we doing here? Are you going to whisk me away in your canoe?” She grinned, pointing at a comically miniscule canoe abandoned on the dock that was right next to a glistening, medium-sized yacht.
Trevor smiled at her. “Actually,” he said, taking her still-pointed hand and moving it to the yacht, “I’ll be whisking you away on that.”
Jules stared in surprise, her arm dropping to her side. “What?” she sputtered. “That’s yours? You’re kidding!”
Trevor laughed at her reaction and said bashfully, “I got it when I was younger and wanted to impress the world, but it ended up being a good investment.”
Jules shook her head as he led her to the yacht. “This cannot be real life.”
Trevor leapt onto the edge of the yacht, grabbing the rope attached to it, and held
out a hand. She nervously took it and yelped as he pulled her on. Once undocking the boat and starting it up, he asked, “Where would you like to go, madam?” The yacht slowly moved against the current, the engine rumbling only slightly.
“Anywhere!” Jules said, looking around in wonderment. “I still can’t believe this is real!”
“We’ve got a fully stocked fridge downstairs. Just grab whatever you’d like and we can eat it out on the deck,” Trevor told her.
After about ten minutes of steering, Trevor stopped the yacht in the middle of the ocean. The Seattle cityscape twinkled in the horizon and everything else was dark and endless. They settled down on the deck, sitting on a blanket and eating cheese, crackers, prosciutto, and grapes. Jules nestled her glass of wine between her hands, looking up at the sky.
“So, do you take all your dates here?” she joked. “I can’t believe they’d let this baby go.”
“You’re referring to me when you say ‘baby,’ right?” Trevor grinned.
“Of course,” Jules said with a roll of her eyes. She noticed that he evaded her question, but found herself not caring as much as she thought she would. The important thing was that he was here now, with her.
Trevor leaned back, breathing in the cool, salty air. “To be honest, I haven’t had time to take her out in a while. This is the first time this year, actually.” He turned to look at her. “Thanks for giving me a reason to come out here again.”
Jules’ heart jumped and she looked down, trying to hide her blush. She felt his fingers tip her chin up and found herself melting in his kiss.
As they lay down, she thought she could stay like this forever.
Chapter Fourteen
She was so sweet, so innocent. And this would be the last night he would have with her. Trevor felt his stomach clench with guilt as he wrapped his arms around her tighter. He kissed her hair, breathing in the scent of vanilla and salty air.
“This is wonderful,” she murmured into his chest. “Thank you for bringing me here.”
