“Yeah, I bet she'll be happy,” I agreed.

“Now about the question of kids,” Kylie said, frowning. “I guess there are still some things that we need to talk about.”

I groaned. “Do we have to talk about them right now?”

“I think we can solve everything in five minutes,” Kylie said. “After all, we've been best friends for ages now. I think we know one another pretty well. And we both want to make this work, so we'll be willing to compromise.” She paused and cocked her head to the side. “I'd like to have one or two kids.”

  “Okay,” I agreed.

Like she'd said, we knew one another pretty well. I realized I already knew that she wanted one or two kids. That didn't worry me.

“And we're going to move into my house because even though your apartment is nicer, mine has more space and has my art studio attached to it,” Kylie continued.

“But I'm going to pay to spruce the place up a bit,” I said.

  “Deal,” Kylie said.

“I guess the main question that leaves, then, is where we're going to have the wedding and where we're going to have our honeymoon.”

“It'll be a destination wedding,” Kylie said. “Since your parents live on one end of the country and mine live on the other. It wouldn't be fair for only some of them to have to travel.”

“And where will the destination be?” I asked.

“I'll have to think about that,” Kylie said. “I've always liked the idea of doing some sort of mountain ranch theme in the Midwest. But I can't picture you in cowboy boots.”

I laughed. “You're not getting me in cowboy boots,” I told her firmly. “I'm a California boy. Always have been and always will be.”

“So, we're looking for some sort of a beachy, surf-inspired wedding, I guess,” Kylie said, looking thoughtful. “Maybe white linen shirts and khakis for all the guys, and then my bridesmaids could be in pale blue? With dark blue accents.”

“That sounds nice,” I said, moving us back up to one of the lounge chairs, still holding her close.

“I'll do some research on where,” Kylie said. “Once we're back home.”

“Figure out where you'd like to go on the honeymoon, too,” I said. “Anywhere you want to go. Even space, if you change your mind.”

Kylie laughed. “I don't think I'm ready for outer space yet,” she said. “But I'll think about it.”

“Let's save Italy, too,” I told her. “If you want to do a year in Italy, we'll do a year in Italy. But I don't want that to be our honeymoon. I want that to be a chapter in our lives.”

“A chapter in our lives,” Kylie echoed, sounding awed. “I guess that's what all of this is from now on, isn't it? Just more chapters in our lives.”

I kissed her cheek. “I'm so glad to be writing the story of my life with you.”

“You're starting to sound sappier and sappier,” Kylie teased. Then, she frowned. “It doesn't really matter where we go on our honeymoon, though, does it? I know if you have your way, we're going to spend the whole time in bed, not seeing anything.”

I raised an eyebrow at her. “You say that like it's a bad thing.”

Kylie laughed. “I don't mean to. Trust me, I'm excited by the possibility of staying in bed with you for two weeks, or however long you'll agree to take off work.”

“Let's do three months of a honeymoon,” I told her. “That should be enough time for us to get the best of everything. We'll have time to stay in bed, time to explore, time for you to work on some art projects, and for me to keep up with my work projects. But mostly, we'll just stay in bed and forget about all our commitments except the one we made to each other. How does that sound?”

“Do you really think you can do that?” Kylie asked.

“For you?” I asked. “I'm willing to try.”

Kylie grinned brilliantly and kissed me again.

  Epilogue

  Kylie

I looked around the building as we put our bags down. It was a lot more spartan than the usual places that Josh booked us into, but I supposed he hadn't had much choice on accommodation here. Antarctica was starting to become more or a tourist destination, but it didn't have quite the infrastructure of the other places that we'd been to in the past.

“It's warmer in here than I'd imagined it would be,” Josh said, his eyes laughing. “I guess in my head, I'd pictured us staying in tents or something really remote. I thought I was going to have to cozy up to you to stay warm, sharing body heat.”

“We can still do that, I'm sure,” I said, smiling back at him. I shook my head. “I still can't believe we're here.”

“You said you wanted to be here,” Josh said, looking suddenly worried, like he thought I might have changed my mind.

“Of course I want to be here!” I hurriedly assured him. “I was serious when I said that I wanted to visit every continent. We've been traveling for a few years now, and this was the only one that we hadn't made it to.” I looked around the room, smiling to myself. “Antarctica.”

“Antarctica,” Josh agreed, coming over and pulling me into his arms. “Of all the crazy places you've taken me, I never thought I'd be here, either.”

“Of all the crazy places I've taken you?” I asked incredulously. “You're the one that wants to go to outer space!”

  Josh laughed. “Touché.”

“So, what's on our agenda?” I asked him.

Josh pulled out the pamphlet that we'd been given upon arrival. “Today is mostly a free day,” he said. “To relax after the long trip down here. We'll have a group dinner tonight, and then we'll start exploring tomorrow.” He frowned. “This is another first for us, too: having a schedule.”

“I'm not sure what we'd have gotten up to if we came down to Antarctica on our own, rather than on a packaged tour,” I said, shrugging.

“I know,” Josh said. “It's just strange. After all, we've done everywhere from Mexico to Morocco to Mongolia, figuring out all the details on our own.” He kissed me. “I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It's just different.”

“You're just upset because it means you can't take me to bed whenever you want to.”

Josh grinned wickedly at me. “Well, after all, the number of people who can say that they've had sex in Antarctica is an even smaller number of people than those who have joined the Mile-High Club.”

I grinned at him. “Is that the real reason that you were so willing to come to Antarctica with me?” I asked. “All because you wanted to have a story about the strangest place that you've ever had sex?”

  “Maybe,” Josh joked.

I snorted, shaking my head. “We'll have to up the ante,” I told him. “Maybe we'll become the couple who has the most sex in Antarctica, ever. After all, we have a full week here.”

No matter how many times the two of us had sex over the years since our marriage, we never seemed to be able to get enough of one another. Josh had a way of always managing to change things up and leave me wanting more.

“I guess we'd better get started, if we're going to have the most sex that any couple has ever had,” he said.

  “I guess so,” I agreed.

Josh tumbled me back onto one of the cots, slowing my fall so that I landed gently. The thing squeaked abominably, and I giggled.

“The whole research facility is going to be able to hear us,” I said. “As well as everyone else on the tour.”

“Does that bother you?” Josh asked, but he was already sliding his hands up under my shirt, clearly knowing the answer to that question.

“I need you,” I told him. “That was a really long flight, and you kept giving me those looks.”

Josh grinned and kissed me firmly, his tongue plunging into my mouth without a moment's hesitation. He found his way to all the spots that would make me melt. All the while, his hands played down my skin, cupping my breasts and then slipping along my sides, making me shiver with desire.

I whimpered as he pulled away, and he chuckled. “We're wearing
too many layers. I want to feel you.”

It was true; we were wearing a lot of layers. It was warm in the building, but it had been chilly outside as we hurried from the boat to our home for the next week. We'd taken off our coats, but I still had on two layers of thermal shirts and a sweater, plus two layers of thermals underneath my jeans.

I slipped back out of bed, wriggling out of my layers as quickly as I could, discarding them in a pile on the floor. Even though I knew, after all these years, that Josh was going to take the time to fold each one of his layers separately, making sure that the sleeves weren't inside out and that everything was piled neatly together.

I waited impatiently on the bed for him, watching as his eyes raked over me. He was taking his sweet time, teasing me, even. I couldn't help trailing my hand down, in between my legs. I stroked lightly over my clit, feeling the dampness around my entrance. I eyed his thick cock, which was standing proudly in front of him, and I mewled as my nerves sung with a combination of lust caused by imagining what he would do to me and the continued stroking of my own fingertips across my sweet spot.

Josh growled and climbed on top of me, catching my wrists and pinning me to the bed. I widened my eyes innocently. “If you're not going to touch me, I guess I'll just have to do it myself,” I said.

“You never have any patience,” he said, rolling his eyes.

I squirmed, needing more. “Please,” I begged.

Josh paused for a beat longer, until I thought I might sob with how badly I needed to come, right then and there. Finally, he shifted my wrists so that they were being pinned by one of his strong hands. His other hand trailed down my body and took up the same slow movements that my own fingers had been tracing.

He didn't stop with that, though. Instead, his lips moved along my skin, his teeth nipping me every so often, sending shooting bolts of lust through me until I was quaking beneath him, an absolute mess.

You'd think that we hadn't made love in months, from the way my body was reacting to him, but it was this way every time.

When his fingers finally plunged inside me, it only took a couple rough thrusts before I was coming desperately, my walls clenching around his digits and my eyes squeezed shut.

“Oh, baby,” Josh murmured as I came back down. His hand cupped my cheek, and he kissed me tenderly. “I never get sick of watching you come undone.”

I bit my lip as I looked up at him, feeling suddenly shy, even though this was far from the first time that we'd done this. Something about the location, though. It was as though we'd go to the ends of the earth for one another.

  “I love you,” I whispered.

Josh paused for a moment, staring down at me. “I love you, too,” he said slowly. “Are you okay?”

I nodded. “I need you,” I whispered, putting my legs around his hips and trying to draw him forward.

He slowly released his grip on my wrists and braced himself against the bed. I brought my hands down and gripped his hips, pulling him toward me.

He slid easily inside me, and I made a soft noise of contentedness as he settled there. The bed creaked noisily as he started to move, drawing his hips back and then pressing into me again. And again. And again. It was a staccato rhythm of thrusts, with the background noise of the bed, and I fell slack against the bed, letting him use me, feeling him hit deep inside of me with each thrust.

He leaned down on his forearms, his body close to mine, and I could feel the heat that we were giving off. It was below zero outside, but in here, we were both covered with a thin sheen of sweat. Our bodies glided against one another's, no friction to be had.

My pussy was practically dripping with need, and he played his cock in and out easily, his movements picking up speed. I couldn't help crying out his name. It didn't matter if we were overheard. The bed had already given away our game, I figured.

My whole body started to draw tight, muscles clenching and toes curling against the sheets. I gasped for breath, my whole world narrowing to Josh's ministrations.

But then again, Josh had been my whole world for a while now, so this was nothing new.

“That's it, baby,” Josh whispered harshly, his own breathing quickened just as much as mine. “That's it, come for me.”

I sobbed as my second orgasm ripped through me, fizzing out my senses, making me keenly aware of his touch and nothing else. All I could feel was the smooth drag of his heavy cock inside of my slick walls and the way his fingers clutched at my hips. I may have passed out for a moment or two, that's how overwhelming the sensations were.

Josh came as well, his hips snapping forward one last time before he stilled, a ragged groan falling from his lips as he spilled his seed inside of my folds.

I slowly came back into awareness as he started to pull away from me.

“Wait,” I said, catching him, pulling his weight against me. I needed to feel him there, his weight grounding me, keeping me in the moment. It was tricky to catch my breath like that, but I didn't want him to pull away just yet.

Finally, I let him go, and he rolled onto his side. He didn't go far, though. Instead, he kept an arm draped across my stomach. He kicked at the blankets and managed to pull them up over us as well.

“Nap time?” I asked, feeling exhilarated, more so by the continued greatness of our lovemaking, but also by the fact that we were in Antarctica, of all places.

“It's a free day,” Josh pointed out. “All we have to do tonight is dinner. We deserve a nap after all that, anyway.”

I hummed in agreement and curled toward him, putting my head down on his chest. “I love you,” I said. “If I haven't said that enough. I love you.”

“I love you, too,” Josh said, his voice a rumble beneath my ear. “I love you enough to go all the way to Antarctica with you.”

I giggled. “You wanted to come here, too, admit it,” I said.

“I want to go anywhere that you want to go,” Josh said, and I was reminded of the talk that we'd had when he'd proposed to me. That had been a few years ago now, but I still remembered every detail of that conversation.

He and I still traveled together regularly, taking at least a month out of each year to travel. We'd been to dozens of countries together. And it never got old. I was starting to really believe that it would never get old, either. I supposed that was the benefit of marrying your best friend.

“What are you thinking?” Josh asked quietly.

I smiled up at him. “Just that I want to go anywhere that you want to go, too,” I told him. “Even if you want me to get on a spaceship some day and go off beyond the stars.”

“We'll keep working up to that,” Josh said, kissing my hair. “Hey, we've already made it to Antarctica. The final frontier isn't too far off now.”

I giggled, twisting my fingers together with his. “I love you,” I repeated. I didn't know why I felt the need to say it so much that day. Josh already knew that I loved him, without my needing to say it out loud.

But Josh just squeezed his arms around me. “I love you, too,” he murmured.

Slowly, we drifted off to sleep.

  BILLIONAIRE IN REHAB PART I

  Chapter One

  Cassidy

“This is our dining area. You should come out here for all your meals,
Ronald March was saying as he brought the new guy around the facility.

I had seen enough tours of our swanky Aspen drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that I could probably have given the tour myself if I had to. Mr. March was dressed in a custom-tailored suit and looked more like a celebrity stylist than the manager of a drug rehab center. But then again, our drug rehab center wasn’t exactly like the ones you would see on television.

My heart flipped as I looked at the man Mr. March was giving a tour to. My initial thought was that he must be famous. His deeply-tanned skin was covered with a scruffy beard, and he was wearing a winter beanie hat that probably cost more than I earned in a week.

A guy like that showing up at our treatment center wasn’t all that unusual. We were a high-end facility that cost a lot of money. But what caught me about this guy was his general level of casualness. He seemed comfortable in our facility, more like he was on a tour of a candy factory than a drug and alcohol treatment facility. I had to wonder if he was even the patient or perhaps instead he was the agent to someone famous. That wouldn’t be unusual.

But no, Mr. March had said “you” when he talked about where to eat, so the man must be a new patient. Secretly, I was happy to have such a handsome guy around; it was fun to have a little eye candy when we were busy working such long shifts.

The whole room paused and watched as the two men made their way through the dining area. It was an open area with several tables, each seating two or four people. Most of the patients were already out of the rooms and waiting for their meals; watching a new patient get his orientation was something to keep them busy with while they waited.

People paid thousands of dollars to hide away at Paradise Peak. Many of our clients were famous actors, musicians, and children of the rich. So, I wasn’t exactly surprised at my physical reaction to seeing the man. Hot guys were just as susceptible to addition as ugly guys were.

But there was something different about this one, something in his eyes that seemed genuinely lost. At Paradise Peak, people had the opportunity to work on mental health issues, drug issues, and alcohol issues – and many people had them all. Some celebrities even came to spend a week and just get away from all the people trying to control their lives.
