“Yes, I am seeing that.” Murmured after to leave her secure on the seat.

“The last night I dreamed of my love.” She suspired as looking up at the ceiling of her room. “He looked so attractive, friend.”

My forehead curved at her. “Your love?” asked her, as I imagined her love could be Eros.

“Yes, my love, my vampire prince.”

“Vampire prince?” at this moment, I got tormented.

  Who was that vampire prince?

After hearing my question, Valeska’s eyes got larger and she tried to sit up with more posture. Her voice soon gave me a guarantee of someone strange in my life and in fact, I didn’t know him.

“Have I really told vampire prince?” she asked back.

“Yes, you have exactly seconds ago.”

Her head shook at all. “Ah, I am a little dizzy and must be saying some gaffe.”

Even before her affirmatives, I insisted on the topic. The words vampire prince made me very interested to continue talking about that. That looked like I was linked to them as much as in my past and my future. Since then, I ended up sitting on the bed and remained to gaze at Valeska’s movements, while she continued saying.

“Oh, Valkyrie, I am going to say you who really he is, okay?” her face cleared a short smile. “But please, don’t say anyone about him, okay friend?”

My head shook after that, and my voice asserted with pure truth. “Okay friend, I promise you that.”

Another smile at my direction and Valeska felt at easy to start to narrate her story with the vampire prince. I began to pay attention to that with great enthusiasm as I imagined to see her happy at his him. Valeska deserved to be very happy in love as well.

“He was a young man that I knew on the planet Earth.” Her eyes closed for some instants as she sounded to think of him while her narration continued. “He was so handsome and I was so dreamed of a love that I imagined that he was my vampire prince.”

“But at this occasion, were you really a vampire? Just when you met him for the first time?”

Her head shook delicately. “No, No, I was not.” made a pause. “Like I have told, I was very dreamed in my life and even not knowing that I would become a vampire one day, I pictured that I could be in love with a vampire prince. An attractive vampire prince.”

“What happened to him?” my voice persisted.

But she gave me a shake of shoulders. “I don’t know really. But I believe he had an adorable wife, cute children and then died after he had got old. Normally these are the natural orders of the things to the humans. ”

“Yes, you are really right.” I declared after hearing all. “Why didn’t you look for him after everything?”

“I did. I swear I did, but nothing worked.” She had a short gasp. “He vanished from my life as smoke.”

Subsequent to her pronouncement, we remained silent. But I was incredibly remorseful for Valeska. I felt a great will to help her. Nevertheless, I could not do it, because that the human young man was a defunct, and even he was not, but he was ancient.

  CHAPTER 10

That was evening. I was having a peaceful walk in the castle, on my own. Since I had nothing to do, I decided to dedicate my time to it.

Walking gradually in the palace corridor, I ended up listening to an extraordinary song. It was a little away. Since then, I made a decision to follow it and see someplace it was coming from. That was right; my rapid steps took me to there. Not thinking, I arrived at the balcony and there was a shadow holding a black violin. That adorable song was coming from a violin.

Approaching more, I saw that this same shadow was the vampire Eros. He kept his back to me and his front was facing the balcony parapet. He looked to be very concentrated in his perfect song, as his right hand moved softly the bow on the violin bow. His attractive face was almost touching it as well. Soon I imagined in silence that this was a wonderful scene.

For the first time, I envisioned Eros looked like a romantic sentimental vampire.

“I didn’t know you like playing a violin.” My voice declared on his back.

Eros ended up looking over his left shoulder and his gray eyes saw me there, standing behind him.

His hand descended the bow and the violin as well, that way, the song ended.

“I think that this was nothing necessary for you to know.” He made a pause. “I like playing violin alone.”

“I am sorry.” I offered him my apologies. “I think I must leave you alone. After all, I brought to an end your adorable song.”

His lips almost broke into a modest smile and his voice insisted on civilization.

“That is not needed.” Looked at me again. “Please, stay.”

Hearing that from him, my lips approximately released a locked smile, I felt a little happy with his words. Eros really wished me there so close to him.

“Thank you.” My voice thanked him, and my steps were in front as I stopped walking beside him. Our bodies got facing the parapet.

“When did you learn to play the violin?”

“I learned after I turned into a vampire.” declared then. “I think that makes me less miserable and solitary.”

“You play it very well.” gave him a smile. “I am fascinated by your song.”

Eros looked at me from the corner of an eye. “Tell me what from me does not fascinate you?”

Before I could respond his answer, he insisted with his mocking voice.

“I think that everything in me captivates you.”

  I was against his assenting.

“No, not all in you captivate me.” made a break in my voice. “Your irony is something that I hate in you.”

His eyebrow rose a little on his face. “Finally something in me does not please you.”

We were into a long silence. But after some seconds, I decided to break it up.

“I think that sounds to be very hard to play a violin.”

“Don’t you want to risk a trial?” His voice tried to impulse me.

My head shook from side to side gradually.

“No, No. I think I had no inclination to do that.”

“Do a trial first and you will have this confirmation.”

Now his charming voice influenced me in fact. I ended up agreeing. “Okay, I am going to do it because you are insisting about it so much.”

He offered me the bow first. I touched it with my right hand and said him during that, “But if I play badly the violin, please don’t make fun of me after that, right?”

“Right.” Eros presented me a smile.

Soon I held the bow with more determination. I felt Eros walked slowly to a side and stopped behind me. His body almost touched my back. That was an outstanding sensation. I almost closed my eyes to feel everything better. But Eros’s hands brought the violin in front of my chest and his voice advised with calm.

“Hold it firmly over your left shoulder.”

His hands helped me do it with no error. I was really secure that I could do it with his help.

“What must I do now?” asked him.

“Now you touch the bow on the string and a sound will come out of it. But remember this sound must be controlled by you.”

“Okay, I got it my tutor.”

Subsequent to that, I had done everything that Eros had told me. So I started to play the violin with his help. An incredible song came over there and I smiled at all.

“See it! You are capable to play the violin better than me.” Eros confessed with humor.

“But your song is really more attractive.”

“These are your ears that utter this.”

“No, Eros, it is a great truth.”

After my words, I continued playing the violin and due to my soft song, lots of bats began to fly in the direction of the balcony. They looked to dance with my song. Eros and I saw that beautiful spectacle before our supernatural eyes. Our lips molded modest smiles.

“Until the bats look happy at your song.”

&
nbsp; I smiled at his eulogy.

  “Maybe these bats are deaf.”

Eros smiled as well and so he said. “Valkyrie, are you making fun of yourself? I really cannot believe it!”

“I have an excellent teacher at my back now. He is perfect for that kind of thing.”

“That is a truth. I am very good at these two things.”

  He consented.

“But now, we need to finish our lesson.” His hands removed the violin and the bow from my hands and I looked back at his picture.

“Why, cannot we continue it a little more?”

“I have to talk with your father now.”

“Ah, yes. My father wishes to talk with you. I hope that this can be something fine.”

“Me too.” The vampire Eros said back and started to leave the balcony with his evolving steps. I felt a great will to go after him and know what my father desired to talk to him.

But as an alternative, I remained there on the balcony and perceived that the bats had gone away after my song had ended. Eros had left there as well, but his charisma was really there together with me, mainly after he had helped me to play his black violin.

That adorable scene I would never erase from my vast mind.

  CHAPTER 11

Vincent ordered Eros to his bedroom. The same came to the site immediately. He walked, afraid, toward his master. Eros knew something had happened after my father had claimed his presence at that moment.

He noticed my father’s rude attitude. Eros’s face got serious.

Then Eros stood before him and kept his silence for some time as he gazed down at his own black clothes. His breath had been oppressed by his apprehension.

“I'm here,” he let him know, after his firm posture before his master.

Vincent stared at him from head to foot for some instants and his stare fixed on Eros’s serious face. His good temper looked to be away from him after Eros entered his bedroom.

“You were almost perfect in your mission,” Finally Vincent alleged and his voice could reach Eros’s ears with great derision and influence. Something had not happened as Vincent had planned during Eros’s operation.

“What are you talking about?” He wrinkled rigidly his face at his master as he looked worried about his comment. His expression showed a confused look.

“It was not in our plan for Valkyrie to fall in love with you.” His voice sounded heavy as he imagined Eros could have caused damage to me. My father didn’t tolerate that thought. He didn’t order Eros after me to make that type of thing.

“It was not in our plan that I manipulate her heart,” Eros said back and his voice looked really hard. He thought of his own defense since there was no one to do it for him, except himself.

They faced each other in seriousness for some instants. Their words were choked in their throats. They exchanged gazes in fury. That room was witnessing a verbal wrangle between two vampires.

Eros glanced to the left and held his right hand toward his lips. “I also have no power to do that,” he justified, looking back in the direction of Vincent and after that, his hand went down and touched his leg.

“But it could have been avoided!” My father said irritably and turned his back to him, avoiding looking at his servant at that moment. Vincent looked to be furious. His voice won altitude every time he talked to his vampire servant.

“Tell me! How?” Eros also became revolted at his master. His pale face became red with anger and his voice could be higher than my father’s tone. The vampire Eros had left to a side all his submission to his master.

“I trusted you!” He turned back and stared at Eros. His voice sounded filled with remorse. His throat made a strange noise. Maybe Vincent wanted to throw down that castle with his indignation. Eros had awakened that feeling in him. So my father didn’t know to work with it.

“There is no reason for you not to trust me any longer.” He faced him too. His eyes narrowed. “I have not laid a finger on your daughter.”

“The worst thing you did, you molested her heart,” Vincent said aloud. His heart looked to be very hurt by it.

The room walls nearly shook during his tone of voice.

“If it weren't for that damned love she feels for me, she would not be here,” Eros confessed with an arrogant tone of voice, walked rapidly to the open window and looked at the silent stones on the ground covered by snow. The inactive stones didn’t hear his rude words. "Or do you think she would just come here to meet a father who was never present in her life?”

“You did everything premeditated. You made her fall in love with you in order to bring her here,” Vincent said even more upset at him. His supernatural gray eyes looked to shine as fire.

“Wrong!” He went away from the window and walked to the middle of the bedroom and opened his arms. “I never wanted this love, but since it exists ... I took the opportunity to complete my journey,” he confessed, sighed and descended his arms, looking to be dissatisfied with that discussion.

“My daughter does not deserve it,” he grumbled and gazed down, looking to be defeated by his own despair. In that occasion, I was the thing my father took care of. So he saw Eros like a risk in my life. Vincent didn’t see his servant was even loyal to him.

“You also would do the same or worse.” Eros assumed that way, staring at him over again. At this moment my father raised his pale face full of authority and stared hard in the direction of Eros with a big conviction of his hard order.

“Get out!” Vincent ordered him with no sympathy, annoyed and his forefinger rose toward Eros during that.

His servant’s eyes contracted in misery.

Facing that scene, Eros walked toward the bedroom door without looking to the sides, keeping his posture straight. Vincent had not convinced him he had taken the wrong attitude. Eros was safe with his idea. He didn’t fear his master’s fury.

Basically, Vincent knew he was right about everything, but to have been his daughter in such a situation made him angry a lot.

The master of the vampires had kept his gaze on his room door, as it was closed by his servant, isolating him in his quiet bedroom. Eros walked back through the long corridor, keeping his head bent. For some instants, he thought of him going away from that castle and me. After all, I had been the motive of his discussion with his master. At that moment Eros saw me like a girl that was there to disorder his life. He always lived in that place with harmony. But now everything looked to have fallen on his head.

He was feeling like a vampire good-for-nothing.

Eros wished to devastate all at his front. Nothing could make him feel better. Not even knowing that he had won my heart and made him as enticing bait in my life.

  CHAPTER 12

Valeska buttoned slowly my dress from the bottom up, with her questioning eyes upon me. In her unconscious there was a desire to be in my place, to be the legitimate daughter of the most powerful vampire in the universe. She had always dreamed of it. But in real life, she was just a loyal servant of Vincent and nothing else besides that.

The red-haired vampire noticed I did not have this conception of my existence. I always envisioned being born and breathing my last breath like a poor human.

Ambition had never visited my heart.

Everything I was living at that time was not to my liking; living in that dark, deserted and cold place, I being a blood slave and victims lost their lives.

“You are quiet!” she whispered suavely at by back and continued touching my dark clothing.

“I am in fear of what I've become,” I admitted with my soft face down. What I saw in front of me were only my pale feet in contact with the cold ground. My thoughts were miserable and unhappy at all. I really didn’t look like being any princess, daughter of a vampire king, the master of Neptune and all his vampires.

That gigantic palace symbolized nothing in my life. But I was glad I had met my father in fact. I imagined that was the best part of my journey there. Even after everything, I loved my f
ather.

“You have yet not realized how much all this is good!” Valeska said in high spirits as her nails slid by my shoulder. I remained frozen for some time.

“If I knew it would end up like this ... I would not have come to this castle,” my head descended unhurriedly as I confessed her. I should face that life like mine. I had decided to be there to meet my father and that really happened.

“Why are you here?” soon she looked at my face with concentration to know more things. Her big gray eyes came across mine. But I couldn’t look at them for a large time, for the reason that I sounded confused at her question. Valeska had done that inquiry if truth be told, knowing my answer. “It's because of Eros?”

“I am here because of my father.” My voice sounded powerless as I gazed to the side another time. My words showed my real design. But I perceived Valeska looked not persuaded by my vocabulary. So she insisted like a bosom friend. Her cold hand touched one side of my shoulder.

“You know you can confess everything to me,” her voice was polite and calm. Valeska wanted to see me talking to her without fear. “There's nobody here to hear you besides me.”

She glanced aside and saw a lot of soundless gray walls. At that moment I kept my eyes bent. I couldn’t face things before me. My thoughts were chunked by that horrible idea. Eros should not be in my heart, shouldn’t.

“I do not want to talk about it,” resolute, I said as I looked up at the wall. An illuminated torch attracted my attention for a short time.

“Eros is your torment! I see it!” she affirmed, forcing my confession. I stared back at her face and remained quiet. My heart ran quickly within me just as I paid attention to her words. It was as if Eros could be before us and have the sense of hearing our converse.

“Does he know it?” she asked then, in hope of hearing my reply.

  “No.”

“Why don’t you tell him how you feel?” Valeska insisted. Her gaze shone toward me. She looked to love talking about that. Valeska quickly discovered my weak point. That was a big discovery in favor of her.
