“Alright, let me finish up a couple of things; and we can go,” Jennifer said.
The two friends went to a local diner together; and ordered shakes and burgers. Jennifer felt anxious; and was willing to get off of her usual healthy diet as a means of releasing stress.
“So what’s eating you, babe? I mean you should be on top of the world- you just got a promotion, just met the man of your dreams..” she said.
“Well that’s just it,” Jennifer said, hesitating for a moment. She still didn’t want to reveal Kenneth’s secret; but she found herself coming out with it. After all, she and Sandy had always told each other everything.
“Kenneth is, well, not what he seems,” Jennifer said. “Please you cannot tell anyone- this cannot leave this diner,” she said.
“Sure thing, babe. I won’t tell a soul,” Sandy said. “What’s wrong with Kenneth?”
“Well last night, things were going really well at my place, if you know what I mean. Then, all of a sudden that creep Holden shows up drunk and acting obnoxious at my front door!” she said.
“No way!” Sandy said in disbelief.
“Yes- anyway, Holden pushed me aside and then tried to pick a fight with Kenneth. Just when he tried to lay a hand on him, Kenneth transformed before my eyes, into a wolf! I sweat to god!” she said.
“What? You’re kidding? How is that possible?” Sandy said with a look of complete surprise.
“I don't know; but I saw it happen, I swear to you. I hadn’t had anything to drink or anything. He’s some kind of shape shifter or something I’m telling you,” she said.
“Well that has to go down as the craziest thing I’ve ever heard; but I believe you girlfriend. You are probably the most level-headed person I know; and you have never been one to make up outrageous stories for attention. Well, my goodness, what do you intend to do about it?” she said.
“That’s just it, I don’t know what to do. I mean, I still care about him- in fact, Sandy, I think I love him,” Jennifer said.
“Oh no, that certainly complicates things,” Sandy said. “Well, if that’s the only ting that’s different or off about him, maybe you can live with it,” she said.
“I don’t know, I mean, that probably means we aren’t even the same species,” Jennifer says.
“Well he is still a man of sorts, isn’t he?” Sandy said.
“I guess so,” Jennifer said, shaking her head. Jennifer noticed another of her co-worker, Julie Gaithers, walk by just then. She wondered if Julie had overheard any of their conversation.
“Oh no, Julie just walked by. If she heard us, she will surely tell everyone in the office. Damnit, I shouldn’t have told anyone,” Jennifer said.
“Honey, you needed to get it off your chest. Don’t worry about that blabbermouth. She probably didn’t hear what we were talking about anyway,” Sandy said, trying to make her friend feel better.
Jennifer continued to think about Kenneth. She tried to call him again; but he wouldn’t answer. She texted him too; but he did not respond.
“Please call me,” she texted.
The next day, Walter called Jennifer into his office and shut the door.
“Jennifer, sit down,” he said. At that point, she felt a nervous lump forming in her throat. He obviously had something serious to talk to her about.
“A rumor has come to my ears; but I wanted it to be confirmed by you. Some of the story seems too far-fetched to be real; but some of it does not. Are you involved with Kenneth Chevalier?” he asked.
“Yes, it’s true,” Jennifer said.
“Well because of the things that people are saying, I have decided to cancel our contract with his advertising firm. I also wanted to issue you a warning that if I ever find out that you are involved with one of our affiliated companies that could be grounds for termination. Am I clear?” he said.
“Yes sir. It won’t happen again. I am sorry; but is it really necessary to terminate our contract with him?” she asked.
“I’m afraid so, the rumors are really causing disruption; and I cannot allow that to continue. That is all, Jennifer,” he said with a half-smile.
“Sorry, I won’t disappoint you again,” she said as she got up from her desk.
That night after a series of phone calls and texts that went unanswered, she decided to drive by the luxury condo that Kenneth had rented downtown to try and meet him face to face. She was pleased to see that his black Mercedes was indeed parked out in front. She half expected for him to ignore her presence; but she knocked on his door in an urgent manner, anxious to make everything alright somehow.
To her surprise, he opened the door for her right away; but then turned his back and walked back into the foyer of the condo.
“Do come in, Jennifer,” he said.
“Look, I just want to say that I’m sorry,” she said as she stepped inside of the room. He still would not look at her. He went and sat by himself on the couch and looked out of the window.
“I never should have said anything to anyone about what I saw, even though I still don’t really know what I saw and how to come to grips with it,” she said.
“I know I owe you an explanation,” he said.
“The truth is, I was being selfish. I was feeling really confused and needed to tell a friend what was happening; but I shouldn’t have told her about your transformation. It was a betrayal of your confidence and safety, I’m sure. I need to grow up and realize that it’s not always about me. ‘It’s always best to consider other people’s feelings before you say anything you regret,’ my aunt used to say. Boy was she right,” she said as she hung her head.
He got up and walked over to her, putting his hand on hers. His lips curved into a smile of empathy.
“You are not a selfish person, Jennifer You are big hearted and beautiful both inside and out,” he said. “You were scared and needed to talk about a confusing situation with a good friend. All of that is understandable,” he said.
She looked up at him and smiled as a single tear rolled down her cheek.
“I am so sorry that I told someone about you; and I’m sorry that the travel agency is no longer one of your accounts. That’s all my fault; and I will never betray your confidence again,” she said as she kissed his hand.
Chapter 5
“So let me tell you about our kind so that you understand who I am and what we are,” he said. Jennifer leaned in close, anxious to hear about the strange transformation she had witnessed.
“Our kind originated thousands of years ago alongside your kind. We are humans; but we are also animal. It’s hard to explain this; but basically we are two species at once. If you were to examine our DNA you would see both the strands of animal and the human intertwined together. We have always lived in secret with your kind because of persecutions that took place our kind in ancient times; genocides if you will. In recent years our kind has gone back underground; and our kind are believed to be just a part of myth by most of your kind. You have probably met shape shifters of various species that never revealed their true identity to you, for most never do. On rare occasions such as our own, a shape shifter will fall in love with a human; and reveal their identity to them,” he said.
“So how do shape shifters feel about it when their kind fall for humans?” she asked.
“There is often great jealousy; but not all of our kind are opposed to it. It’s kind of like gay marriage- it’s considered taboo by some people; but society as a whole is coming around to the idea. It is, however still against the shape shifter code to marry a human,” he said.
“How strict if this code you have?” she asked, becoming increasingly fascinated instead of fearful or worried.
“Well it’s kind of like a law. If the council finds out about it, they can punish you through exile, imprisonment or in some extreme cases, death,” he said.
“Where does that leave us?” she asked him.
“It leaves us wherever we want to be,” he said. She smiled at him and kiss
ed him softly.
“I want to be with you. I don’t care if you are a werewolf. You don’t go attacking people and dining on them each night do you?” she said with a laugh.
He laughed as well; but then he got serious again as he got up and moved back towards the window again.
“Jennifer, I will have to be leaving soon. Now that I no longer have an account to attend to in this city, I will have to return to New York. You will have to make a tough decision soon. I want us to be together forever- bonded to each other in a lifelong commitment like we wolves are want to do. However, to do this you must leave your life here behind and the career you have started. You can continue your career in another city; but in order to truly be together, we cannot live in separate cities,” he said.
“I know,” she said.
“There is something else,” he said.
“Oh?” she asked.
“Yes, we wolf shape shifters have a ritual of sorts that we go through when we choose a mate,” he said.
“Go on…” she said.
“Well, when we choose a mate we are expected to share her with a member of our pack as a gesture of the bond between the members and the induction of a new member, that being you,” he said. “The packs consist of members of friends who have alliances through the associations of different families,” he said. “It’s a little different from packs of plain wolves,” he said.
She looked at him with an heir of uncertainty; but then, she slowly walked across the room to Kenneth, who was still looking out of the window.
“Give me a couple of days to think about it; and I’ll give you the answer in two days,” she said.
The rest of the week, she tossed and turned; and tried to come to a decision. Then, in the middle of the night, she woke up and made up her mind. She had thought of nothing but Kenneth for the last thirty-odd hours; and she was ready to commit to him. She knew that she would be able to find another job in her field; and she knew that she was ready to leave Charlotte once and for all; and take a chance in the big apple. The next morning she put in her notice, receiving a very astonished look from Walter. He couldn’t believe she was leaving after just getting a promotion. After she explained that it was a family matter; he took on a more understanding tone. She felt sure she could still get a good recommendation from him.
The next day, she showed up Kenneth’s condo unannounced. She wanted to take him completely by surprise. Underneath her short skirt and revealing top was a red negligee. She noticed that another car was in the driveway, a white BMW. Kenneth answered the door; and was surprised and delighted to see Jennifer in his doorway. His eyes swam up and down her unabashedly.
“Wow, you are a picture of sexiness,” he said in obvious admiration.
“Thank you,” she said, throwing her arms around him. “I have made up my mind. Want to guess what my answer is?” she said, kissing him long and deep; and then smiling at him as she locked eyes with Kenneth. She looked over Kenneth’s shoulder at a handsome man that was standing behind Kenneth. He was almost as handsome as Kenneth; but had blonde, curly hair and blue eyes. Jennifer couldn’t help but feel a bit attracted to him as she glanced over at him.
“Oh, this is my close friend, Carl Herrod,” he said. “Carl, this is Jennifer,” Kenneth said with a smile.
“Very nice to meet you,” Carl said in a deep voice as she kissed Jennifer’s hand. A chill ran up her spine. She looked at Kenneth; and then at Carl.
“Is he your fellow pack member?” she asked.
“Yes, in fact he is,” Kenneth said.
“And you said that in order for us to be together, I would need to…” the two guys looked at each other and then at her.
“Eh, yes, that’s true; but if you don’t want…” Kenneth began.
“No, I do,” she said.
“Alright then, if you are certain you are ok with this,” Kenneth said.
“I am certain,” she said as she came over and gave Kenneth a deep passionate kiss. Then, she turned to Carl and gave him a kiss as well, although not as long as the one she had given Kenneth. She got down on her knees and began to fondle first Kenneth’s crotch; and then Carl’s. Both of the men grew with anticipation, until finally, Jennifer pulled her dress down off of her breasts to reveal them to he men. She unzipped Kenneth and began to take his manhood in and out of her mouth quickly, staring him in the eyes. Then, she moved over to Carl, taking his cock in her mouth, looking at both him and Kenneth as slurped on his head.
They soon moved over to the bed; and Kenneth began to plow her as he grabbed both of her legs. She motioned for Carl to come around to her front where she continued to suck on his eager throbbing member. They traded places a few minutes later, Carl thrusting aggressively into her pussy while Kenneth practically gagged her with his rock hard cock. Soon, was having her first orgasm. Then, she got on her hands and knees and spoke in a sultry, whispery voice to the two men.
“I want you to take turns fucking me form behind,” she said.
The two men did what they were told. Carl took her on at first, starting out slowly moving just the tip in and out of her; but eventually giving her everything he had. He was unable to last for than a few minutes; and he pulled out just in time to let her have his load all over her now pink ass.
Then, it was Kenneth’s turn; and he fucked her long and slowly as she stared back at him. He placed a finger in her mouth; and she proceeded to suck on it. Kenneth began to pump her fast and furiously as she sucked tightly on his finger.
“Give it to me baby, I know you want to come,” She said in a sexy voice while giving him the sexiest, wide-eyed gaze she’s ever given him.
“OOOH YEEAH!” he screamed as he shot all over her back and ass. Now she was dripping with their come.
Kenneth and Jennifer collapsed in each other’s arms; and Carl got up and got in the shower.
“So, does that mean I’m in the pack now?” she said.
“Sure does. I mean, we still have to get married, so to speak although we call it getting mated,” he said.
“I can’t wait, Kenneth. I can’t wait for us to start the next chapter of our lives together!” she said as she kissed him.

Chapter 1
Andrew Phillips brushed back his long, brown hair, looked out the window and paced around the kitchen. His girlfriend, Vanessa was due to come home from her night out with her friends and she still wasn’t home yet. His suspicions were growing by the day because Vanessa had increased the amount of time that she had been spending away from home claiming that her job as a travel writer was to blame. Every time she’d come home with a fresh excuse that would lead to an argument. Then, the couple would end up having passionate make up sex and all would be forgiven for the time being.
When Andrew felt this way, he would sometimes drive out to the woods and transform to his wolf form and go on a hunt to forget his trouble. It would at least temporarily take his mind off of things. He did the same thing on this night. He drove out to Barker’s Creek Wildlife Management Area and parked his car. Then, he got out, looked around to make certain that there was no one around; and transformed into a mighty, grey wolf. He bounded around in the woods and gave chase to a herd of deer; although he stopped short of making a kill; he just wasn’t feeling it on that particular night. It was as if his declining will to hunt was reflective of his overall mood. He was tired of fighting to keep his relationship with Vanessa alive; but he hung on because he still cared about her and he loved her enough to try and make things work.
Once Vanessa got home, Andrew was already in bed. He pretended to be asleep when she began to undress in front of the mirror in the be
droom; but he noticed that her clothes looked a bit more wrinkled than they were when she left. Her hair seemed to be somewhat of a tangled mess. Also, she smelled faintly of cologne- men’s cologne. She got into her nightgown and lay down beside Andrew. He lay there and debated with himself as to whether or not he should confront Vanessa about her appearance. Finally, he couldn’t help himself, he just came out with his suspicions.
“You’re looking a little disheveled for someone who was just going to a bridge game with her friends,” he said, turning to face her.
“Oh come on, Andrew, knock it off. We got bored with the game so we decided to go out dancing as the night wore on, that’s all,” she said.
“So how do you explain the scent of cologne?” he said.
Vanessa rolled her eyes and got angry, “I just danced with one guy who asked me, that’s all. Nothing happened,” she said, rolling over.
Andrew didn’t know whether to believe her or not; but he was still very angry. He thought about rolling over and going to sleep; but instead he just blurted out the thoughts that had been brewing in his mind.
“You are having an affair, aren’t you Vanessa?” he said.
“What? Are you crazy? Why would I want to do such a thing? I already have everything I want right here with you. I have a muscular, handsome boyfriend and a huge house; and we have all of the money and security we need,” she said.
“So then, why are you spending so much time away from home? I know you travel for a living; but you never used to be gone this much when we first started dating. Jesus, Vanessa, ever since we moved in together I feel like I’m struggling to find time to spend with you,” he said.
“Let me reassure you that things will get better once I’m finished with the book I’m working on. Just a few more weeks and I will home a lot more often. Let me put your mind at ease,” she said as she reached down beneath the covers and put her hand on Andrew’s manhood.
