Jasmine (Kings of Guardian Book 6) Page 23

“I was going to ask you tonight.”

“Oh… okay… the answer is yes.”

  “Good… go to sleep.”

  “Mmm…”

Chad took a deep breath and held her scent deep in his lungs before he released it slowly and drifted to sleep.

  Chapter Twenty-Six

Jasmine leaned against the window frame looking out at the moonlit bed of fresh snow. The view from Joseph and Ember’s home was breathtaking. She and Chad had jumped at the chance to house-sit for the couple when they flew to Aruba for a two-week vacation.

The blue and silver tones of the full moon shimmered across the pastures, draping everything in a crystalline beauty. She toyed with the ring Chad had given her while they were both still in the hospital. The four-carat, marquis-cut diamond mounted above a bed of channel set diamonds on her left ring finger reminded her it wasn’t a dream.

“The stars are beautiful tonight.” The deep, sexy timber of Chad’s voice washed over her. She froze at the words that would forever be etched in her mind. Chad pulled her back into him. His large hand spread over her silk robe and pressed gently. Her body clenched, already anticipating Chad’s attention. She released the breath caught in her lungs.

“Are they?” She shivered when he moved the hair from the base of her neck and his lips ghosted against her skin.

“Yes.” He led her to the bed. The lights in the room were off. Only the moonlight illuminated their path. Chad turned and unfastened the tie of her robe. His hands fed through the material and slid the silk off her shoulders, leaving her naked to his touch. “So beautiful.”

His lips trailed her collarbone as his fingers danced over her back with feather-light touches. “Do you trust me?” His mouth brushed over his shoulder.

“Yes.” She panted her immediate response.

“Lay down on the center of the bed.”

Jasmine watched as he moved around the bed and flicked the silk ties he’d attached to the four posts of the bedframe onto the mattress. Her body heated at the memory of what this man could do to her.

Chad tied her to the bed. The fabric was cool and soft, the restraints not uncomfortably tight, but restrictive enough that she couldn’t move from the vulnerable position he placed her in. He lifted a black cloth from his nightstand and ran it through his hands. The movement and sound drew her eyes to his beautiful, talented hands. Hands that could play her as well as any instrument he’d ever mastered. Jasmine licked her dry lips. In the darkened room she couldn’t see his eyes, but she could feel them. He lowered himself to the bed and moved next to her.

“I’m going to blindfold you. When we start, you will not be allowed to speak unless you need to stop. Any word you speak stops everything. Do you understand the rules?”

  “Stops everything?”

“Yes.” The black silk brushed her shoulder. She shivered again.

“So responsive. Do you understand the rules, Jasmine?”

  “Yes.”

“I’m going to walk out of the room to get a few items. We haven’t started yet. Will you be alright?”

Jasmine drew a deep breath. She trusted Chad, but the idea of being tied, naked, blindfolded and left alone… She felt her anxiety kick in. No, it was fear. Fear of what? Jasmine closed her eyes and tried to concentrate. He didn’t move or demand an answer, almost as if he knew she was working through her feelings.

“I’m afraid.” The admission tore from her but came out as a mere whisper of sound.

  “I know.”

Somehow those two words comforted her. He knew. He loved her, and he knew what he was asking her to do frightened her. “I’ll be alright.”

Chad leaned down and kissed her softly, just his lips pressed against hers, nothing else. “I know that, too.”

He covered her eyes with the silk, tying it behind her head. He moved the knot to the side so she wasn’t lying on it. “We are starting now. Any word stops the scene. I’ll free you immediately.”

Jasmine nodded. She felt him get off the bed and cocked her head as she heard him walk across the room and open, then close the door. She took several deep breaths. She could do this. Her skin tightened, leaving gooseflesh. The house creaked. She jumped. Damn it, she knew that sound. It was a normal nighttime sound. She shouldn’t be hyperventilating like a teen at her first Freddie Kruger film. Jasmine drew a deep breath and let it out. Her world shrank as she listened intently. The central heating turned on. A wave of cool air pushed across her skin before the warm air from the system filtered through the room. She could smell the heated air. She heard the small pings of the metal in the air duct heating. Her breath steadied as she relaxed and let herself drift.

  “Beautiful.”

Chad’s voice floated toward her. His calloused fingertip traced the length of her arm. Jasmine moaned. She focused on his touch. The touch disappeared, and she waited. The sensations were random—a caress on the arch of her foot before he swept his fingertips over her breasts. His light touch up the sensitive skin of her inner thigh ended before he reached her sex. She arched up, begging silently for more.

A harsh, sharp sensation on her right nipple lasted only a few seconds. Her cry of surprise echoed in the room. She felt water run down her breast. Ice. God, he’d used ice. Jasmine waited, acutely aware of any sound, but not able to determine where he was. She jumped at a soft brush of something against her armpit. It trailed down her side. A feather. Jasmine laid her head down on the bed.

“Stop trying to anticipate my touch. Just feel.”

His tone hadn’t changed, but she could sense he wanted more from her. Jasmine drew another deep breath and concentrated on relaxing her muscles.

  “Good, sweetheart. So good.”

Jasmine concentrated on the touches, sensations and soft words of praise. Slowly, his caresses became more sexual, drawing instead of teasing. His mouth, tongue, teeth, fingers, the feather, and ice all melded into a stream of moments. Her universe centered on his touch, not enough and yet too much. Time suspended. Nothing but Chad’s touch and his voice existed. A mystic, wonderful sensation built inside her like a wave headed toward the shore. She heard his words, felt his touch, yet could feel herself drifting on that growing momentum. Jasmine felt her lover lift over and enter her. His body began pushing her the last few feet to the crest of whatever she was riding. It was there that her world floated in and around them. Chad’s lips and fingers demanded responses as his shaft filled her. Jasmine somehow tethered onto his words, understanding tones rather than meaning. His thrusts quickened. Her body shook with pleasure, and her world exploded into a million pieces of brilliant lights.

His soft caresses and whiskey smooth voice enticed her mind and body into a coherent, albeit exhausted, sense of peace.

“I love you.” His whispered words completed her.

They surrounded her in safety. She snuggled closer and echoed the words of love he shared, her voice a mere whisper. She floated on the knowledge that Chad was her safety, her rock. A touchstone in the storm of her life. He’d risked everything for her. Jasmine sighed and smiled. She’d given him all of herself in return, trusting him to keep her and her heart safe.

Chad watched his stubborn, determined woman melt, then fly at his touch. He’d edged her for over an hour. When he finally gave in and pushed her over into the orgasm he’d been denying her, she shattered. His own release had threatened to consume him. Fucking perfect. He pulled out of her and untied her immediately. Her arms and legs wrapped around him and he pulled her into him. He took off the blindfold and covered them with a warm blanket, comforting her with reassuring words and touches. He’d seen subs fly before, and based on their previous lovemaking, Jasmine was capable if she ever let herself be vulnerable enough to trust him completely. She’d honored him with the gift of her total submission tonight. A thing of unmatchable beauty.

Chad held her long after she’d fallen asleep. Snow fell outside. The huge white flakes floating by the wind
ow across the room were hypnotic. He considered them and his life as he threaded his fingers through Jasmine’s thick black hair. His world had been flipped upside down when she’d barged into his life and sent him flying back into the stack of chairs on the Georgia Dome stage.

He glanced at the dresser and the Entertainer of the Year award that had been delivered to the ranch several days ago. The wonderful things he’d achieved, the money he’d earned, and the lifestyle he led all paled in comparison to the love he held in his arms. They had a future together—one that included his music, but wasn’t driven by it. He had finally found what he had been searching for all these years: a woman he loved more than life itself, and perhaps, one day, a family. They had a future with true friends and unlimited possibilities. A melody drifted across his thoughts. Words formed and wrapped around the melody. He smiled and reached for a pen and paper.
