She pulls her hand from mine to cup my cheek at that, seeing the emotion on my face. “There’s no man more deserving than you, Z.” She sniffles.
I shake my head with a smile, my nose prickling. “The first decade of my life, my parents made me believe I was the least deserving person on the planet. I was lucky, so fucking lucky, to then be adopted by two of the most loving people in this world, but I can’t help but fear it’s still in me somewhere that I’ll turn out like my biological mom and dad. How strong is nature? Is it in my blood? Am I going to be a horrible father and husband?” I finally voice my fears.
She shakes her head frantically, her tears showering my face, cleansing me of my doubts. “No, no way. Because you know what? Louisa is your blood too, and like you said, she is one of the most loving, kind, generous, and nurturing people I’ve ever met. I have no doubt it’s your nature to take after her and Mateo. You are too good to me, too protective and over-the-top loving to make me have even a shadow of a doubt. This baby is going to be the luckiest kid in the world to have you as their daddy. And I’ll hit the jackpot… if you ever get around to actually proposing. Isn’t your knee starting to hurt by now, kneeling on that gravel, babe?” She tilts her head, and I can’t help the bark of laughter that erupts from my chest.
This woman. This crazy, beautiful, perfect woman.
“Kayan, my kitten. Would you make me the luckiest bastard in the world and be my wife?” I ask.
She juts out a sassy hip and puts her right hand on it, scolding me, “How many times do I gotta tell you to watch your language in front of our baby?” But then she grins wide as she threads her left ring finger through the ring before wrapping her arms around my neck, kissing me on top of my head the way Mom does to Dad. But unlike the Amazon my mom is, Kayan is so small that she’s barely taller than me while I’m on my knee.
Which, now that she mentioned it, is starting to ache a little.
So I stand with her still wrapped around me, pulling her off her feet as I circle my arms around her waist, feeing her little bump fit against my chest as her legs come to lock around me. She laughs up at the sky as I spin her around, and then her lips come down on mine, kissing me like I’m the very air she needs to breathe.
When she finally pulls back, she says, “That’s a yes, by the way,” and I smile.
“Oh, good. Now, let’s get you home so I can consummate our engagement,” I tease, turning to set her perfect ass on the back of my bike.
“I don’t think that’s a thing. But…” She rubs her belly, her little tongue poking out the side of her mouth as she thinks. “I do wonder what it’d be like to suck orange juice off your cock. You think it’d be as hot as the chocolate syrup we tried at Club Alias?”
I go rock-hard instantly inside my jeans, adjusting myself as I lift my leg to get on the bike. “Kitten, I think you sucking anything off my cock would be hot.”
And I chuckle as she adds right before my pipes roar to life, “Bo-Berry Biscuit frosting. Oh my Goooood, yes.”

Note From the Author
I hope you enjoyed Kayan and Z’s happily ever after! If you’d like to learn more about my Club Alias Series, book 1 is the Confession Duet, which is Z’s friend Corbin’s story with his Vi. You can read it as a complete boxed set (Confession Duet) for a special price, or as two separate books (Before the Lie and Truth Revealed). But trust me, you won’t want to read BTL without having TR handy to start right after you finish. That cliffy is BRUTAL (hehe!).
For those of you who have not read Aurora Rose Reynold’s Until July, Z and Kayan are the hero and heroine’s best friends. I definitely recommend this funny, hot, and exciting tale of the feisty vet and her yummy biker. Plus, if you fell in love with Z and Kayan, you’ll get to see where they originated, and why I chose to write their love story.

About the Author
KD Robichaux wanted to be a romance author since the first time she picked up her mom's Sandra Brown books at the ripe old age of twelve. She went to college to become a writer, but then married and had babies. Putting her dream job on hold to raise her family as a stay at home mom, who read entirely too much, she created a blog where she could keep her family and friends up-to-date on all the hottest reads. From there, by word of mouth, her blog took off and she began using her hard-earned degree as a Senior Editor for Hot Tree Editing. When her kids started school, and with the encouragement from her many author friends, she finally sat down and started working on her first series, The Blogger Diaries, her very own real life romance.
