The Dirty Dozen: MC Edition Page 56

by Kay Maree

  “Someone’s in trouble,” Tank sang.

“Looks like the golden boy finally fucked up,” Roach laughed.

“Both of you can fuck off,” I grinned. “Here,” I said handing my pool cue to Drake to take over my game. “The boss needs me fellas.”

“She saw your impressive ball handling skills and wants some pointers,” Roach called out.

“Maybe you should ask her for some pointers on how to handle pussy, that way you might actually get some,” Drake retorted, and the men laughed.

I left the boys and snagged a couple of beers and made my way back to Dangers office, to the sounds of them jeering and ribbing each other.

“Why does Roach keep making back handed lesbian comments about you?” I asked kicking the door shut and locking it behind me. Whenever I had a chance to be alone with Danger, I always locked the door. I didn’t want to risk someone walking in on us, especially if we were discussing the findings of my investigations or other things.

“When he first joined, he hit on me, repeatedly. I rejected him, repeatedly. Then he saw me hanging out with a few of the club bunnies. Me knocking him back and hanging out with some of the girls automatically made me a lesbian.”

“Obviously,” I said sarcastically shaking my head.

“I am not gay, and you damn well know it. But if I was,” she stepped up to me tugging the edge of my cut, running her hand down my chest. “I’d make an exception for you.”

“Babe, I think you like what I’m working with. My A-game got you into bed the other night and I didn’t hear you complaining. The complete opposite actually.”

“It was a moment of weakness Lamb my boy.” She grinned lightly slapping my cheek.

“Do you have any idea how much I hate that fucking name.”

“What name is that? Lamb? You don’t like Lamb, my little lamby lamb?” She batted her eyes at me pinching my cheeks like my nanna used to do.

“I know you think you're funny, but you’re not.” I kissed her; I couldn’t help it. There was no denying there has been a connection between us, the attraction there from the day we met. It’s only intensified the more time we spend together. I’ve tried as much as possible to keep plenty of distance between us. To remain professional, to stay focused on the assignment. But then we slept together, and I was done pretending. It’s getting harder not to touch her, not to pull her into my arms, and let everyone know she’s mine. “You’re cute, but you’re not funny.” I informed her, placing my bottle of beer on the desk resting my hands on her hips.

“Leo.” She said my name like a warning.

“Willow,” I replied fluttering my eyes at her, sliding my hands over her tight ass. We were alone in a locked room and I could no longer resist the urge to touch her. The scowl was back on her adorable face. “What?” I smirked. “You started it.”

“How exactly did I start anything?” She asked, her hands running over my biceps.

“I’m convinced you get up in the morning and pour yourself into the worlds tightest jeans, so your ass looks spectacular. Then you spray paint a shirt over your amazing tits all to mess with my concentration.”

“Are you actually doing any investigating or are you just spending your time being a dirty perv?” She asked.

“If I’m honest, it’s ten percent investigating, ninety percent dirty perv.”

  “Shut up,” she giggled.

“Like I said, it's your fault. I can still taste you,” I growled watching her eyes dilate, her lust getting the better of her.

Pushing out of my arms. She shook herself, walked around her desk taking her seat, cleared her throat getting back to business. “Give me your update.”

  “I have some good news.”

“I could do with some good.”

“Wolf and Tank are clear,” I announced getting straight to the point.

“Oh, thank god,” she breathed out a sigh of relief. “I’m sorry. I know I’m the President and should be tough and stoic and everything. I’m sorry to be girly and all, it’s just I’m so relieved Leo. Wolf has been my best friend my whole life and Tank is, well Tank.” A tear slid down her cheek. “I get that I sound like a tween at a slumber party, but you really have no idea how much this means to me that they’ve been cleared. Ugh!” She dropped her head to her desk. “Can you... can you please pretend like this never happened? Just go back to when you thought I was sexy and teasing you.”

“Like I said, cute,” I muttered.

  This damn woman.

Normally when I met a client, I was all business. There was absolutely no booze. There was no getting emotionally involved. There was no touching. There was definitely no sex.

I got up and walked around her desk. I ran my hand up her spine, watching as she arched her back like a cat stretching in the sun. Willow kept her head resting on the desk as I walked my fingers up and down her spine.

I couldn’t stop this overwhelming need to protect her, to ease her worry.

Someone stabbed her, shot at her, scarred her pretty face. I haven’t been able to find any trace of the bastard and that had me wanting to beat the shit out of someone. But the thing that tore at my battered heart the most was the devastation in her eyes thinking someone she trusted, who was supposed to be loyal to her, had betrayed her.

My last assignment had been hell. The investigation was tedious, painstaking, never-ending. Finally, I got my man. There had been so much good accomplished, but there had also been death. I don’t enjoy taking a life, but I will not lose sleep over the lives taken to complete my mission.

This, here with her felt good.

I wanted to keep feeling - the good - for a little while longer.

“Oh my God Leo,” she moaned my name. The soft whimpering sounds she made as I worked out a knot, was a sound I felt all the way to my soul, and it made my dick twitch. “You know if this whole fixer thing doesn’t work out, I may just keep you round just so you can keep your hands on me.”

“Anytime you would like my hands-on you Babe, you just have to ask.”

“Leo you have no idea how good that feels,” she breathed sitting up, leaning back into my hands.

I let my thumbs work the spot where her neck met her shoulders, my fingers flaring down over her collar bones, brushing the swell of her breasts. She shifted slightly, causing my fingertip to slip under the lace of her bra. I spun her chair around, taking in the shocked look in her eye as I planted my hands on the arms of her chair caging her in, bringing her face close to hers.

  “Leo, what…”

My lips crashed into hers demanding more than I had the right to. I went to pull back, to break the kiss but she wouldn’t let me. Her hands locked on to the hair at my temples holding me tight. I growled nipping at her bottom lip, my tongue skimming the seam of her lips demanding entry. Our tongues duelled as Willow raised out of the chair forcing me back until I was sitting on her desk allowing her to manoeuvre between my legs, pressing her body against mine. My hands slid down her body finding the pert globes of her ass, dragging her body to me.

Willow kissed me with hunger, determination, desperation. She kissed me like she knew this was her one and only chance to do so. I kissed her back because I wanted to, because it had been so long since I kissed anyone. But mostly because I had never kissed anyone like Willow, I had never been kissed like this before.

  “Babe… Baby…” I said in between kisses.

“Leo, oh my god,” she moaned against my lips. “Where did you learn to kiss like that?”

“I was going to ask you the same thing,” kissing her again. “Shit, Babe, I need to ask you something.”

  “I’m sure it can wait.”

“Danger,” I growled. I needed to know if she was kept up to date.

“Did Roach tell you what I found?”

  “When?” She asked, confused.

“I’d only had about three hours sleep after I got back from the last run. I hadn’t ev
en begun to relax fully before Roach woke me up.”

Wolf, Bullet, Tank and I had been on a delivery run with two of the prospects. Five of us was overkill for a run like this but Demetri had reduced his order sighting reduced consumer confidence. We wanted to make sure things went smoothly. Restore faith. With everything going on, Wolf decided it was to be a up and back run. Get in, get business done and get out.

“What the hell did he wake you for? I told everyone once you were back, the five of you were to be left alone for at least eight hours. With everything going on I can’t afford to have the five of you running on fumes; especially you, Tank and Wolf.” She was pissed her orders weren’t followed but there was also concern in her voice.

“He said you wanted me to check the radiator and intake on Maggie’s truck,” I wrapped my arms around her pulling her close kissing her temple. “Roach said Maggie had a big supply run to go on and the truck had to be up and running ASAP.”

“Maggie’s not going for supplies until Thursday. She hasn’t said there was anything wrong with the truck.”

“I know, that’s what she said when I questioned her about what issues she was having. I practically rebuilt the fucking engine checking to make sure nothing had been messed with.”

  “Had it?”

“Nothing mechanical, but I did find a tracking device. If I hadn’t been looking for something, I wouldn’t have found it. It was expertly hidden.”

“What the fuck? Where did it come from?”

“I’m not sure but it’s a sophisticated device. I’ve sent it to Aries to analyse and see if at the least, the feed can be back traced to the source.”

“Thank you. I don’t know where Roach got the order from but I’m glad he gave it to you and thank you for looking into things.

Willow lifted her soft lips kissing the side of my neck. She kissed along my jaw until her lips met mine. She kissed me with passion and desire.

“I want you so much Babe, but I don’t think your office is a good idea, what if someone finds out?”

“If you don’t want to you could just say,” she huffed shoving against my chest embarrassment blooming across her cheeks.

“Hey, don’t do that,” I begged. She shoved at me again. I kept my hands on her hips walking her backwards until her back hit the wall pinning her with my body. “I said don’t do that. Willow don’t for a second think I’m feeding you a line. Don’t think I am pushing you away. If you really want to keep going, I will make sure you’re satisfied but I won’t fuck you. I’m serious Babe, I don’t think your office is a good idea. I’ll come by your place tonight and make it up to you.”

“I don’t need your pity Leo,” she grumbled refusing to look me in the eye.

“I said don’t do that.” I pounded the wall above her head with my fist, letting my frustration out. “I said I want you. After last night I don’t want to spend a second out of your bed. You’re a good judge of character Babe. Look in my eyes and tell me I’m lying.”

She took her time studying my face. “You’re a little bossy, you know that, right?”

“Yeah but you love it,” I grinned when she raised an eyebrow at me. “You need someone with a firm hand,” I added tilting my hips forward letting her know just how much I wanted her, my lips capturing hers.

“Oh Huni, you’ve got it all wrong. I think it’s you who likes a firm hand,” she retorted grabbing my ass.

“Willow, as much as I love sneaking around like this and having you all to myself, I wish we could be out in the open. I want everyone to see how much you mean to me. I want to do able to touch you, hold you, kiss you whenever I want. I want them to see how much you mean to me. I want everyone to know that you’re mine.”

  “Is that true,” she whispered.

  “Is what true?”

“What you just said, you want me to be yours? We could always rethink the fake boyfriend plan?”

“Every word of what I said is true. I’m a hundred percent sure I don’t want to be your fake anything Babe,” I couldn’t help dropping a kiss on the top of her head. “But I do like the sound of being your boyfriend.”

  CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

  Danger

“I like the sound of it too,” I whispered. “Leo this is crazy.”

Before I met Leo, I didn’t believe in all that love at first sight crap. I was never the romantic type, but for some reason with Leo I am. I want all the sappy romantic junk you see in movies that would normally make me gag, but Leo makes me want it. There is a connection with Leo, and it’s strong. Sure, when I first saw him, I thought he was hot as hell but then he kissed me, and I felt something slide, then click into place. It was like he was the missing piece of me; a piece I didn’t know was lost, had been found.

“I know you think this is crazy, it is, but Babe there’s something here, right? I mean you feel it, too, don’t you? It’s something more than just sexual attraction or am I just really fucking tired?”

“Yes, Baby you are really fucking tired,” I giggled. “But you’re also right, there is something more here than just sexual attraction. And boy is there some sexual attraction,” I muttered. “Ugh, why did this have to happen now?” I whined snuggling into his chest letting his warmth and spicy scent wash over me.

“Because the universe hates us, or thinks we can handle a challenge,” he replied, kissing the top of my head, his fingers trailing up and down my arm.

“Maybe our timing is just off.”

“Hand me your mobile.” I slid my phone out of my pocket and within a few seconds it beeped with a message and his number was saved to my phone. “I should have done this month’s ago. My number is now in your phone. It’s my private number. Not the one the boys have, not Lambs number; mine. It’s encrypted. If anyone tries to edit the encrypted number, unlock or decrypt the number it will fry the phone. I have also sent a backup of your phone to Aries private server, so if it does happen, you’ll still have your contacts – everyone except mine,” he said handing it back to me.

  “Why not?”

“Because, I’m a ghost. I will disappear until no one remembers who I am.”

“Please don’t. Don’t disappear on me,” I murmured placing a kiss under his jaw. “Ok Leo? Don’t disappear.”

Leo wrapped his arms around me pulling me closer. I wished we were lying in bed together cuddled up in each other’s arms, not lying uncomfortably on the couch.

“Tell me Babe, how did you become President of Knights Fury?”

  “It’s a long story.

  “I’ve got time.”

“Daddy please don’t do this,” I begged, just like I have been doing for months. Time was running out, but I needed to get him to listen to me. I needed to get him to change his mind.

“It’s done,” he replied with finality.

“Then undo it!” I insisted. My head hurt and I felt dizzy with going around and around in circles.

“Don’t argue with me on this,” he sighed, shifting, attempting to get more comfortable.

“Please Daddy. Please don’t do this. You know how I feel about it.”

I was begging, pleading. I’d get down on my knees if it would make a difference. Anything I could do to put a stop to this disaster waiting to happen.

“As my heir, it is your duty to step up and accept your role.”

“You do know I’m a girl, right? Besides, this is real life Dad, not a bloody mafia movie.”

“Boy, girl, it doesn’t matter. You could be a purple glitter covered fairy for all I-fucking-care. You are my only child, it’s your birthright,” he wheezed. “You’re not some lowly probie, you’re on the bloody executive.”

“That’s not how this is supposed to work, and you damn well know it.” I huffed flopping down in what had to be the most uncomfortable chair in the history of chairs. I crossed my arms and legs, turning slightly away from him.

  “Do
n’t let the boys see you acting like this,” Dad chuckled.

“Like what?” I grouched, flouncing in my chair making a show of how pissed I was.

  “Like a big sooky la-la.”

  “Daaaaad.”

“Wiiillllloooooowww.” He grinned and my huffy open-mouthed incredulous look. “Pumpkin you know that whiny Daddy thing hasn’t worked for a while.”

“Please, I have you wrapped around my little finger and you know it.” I crossed my arms again but this time I turned my chair to face my dad.

“Oh, please, you’re a Daddy’s girl and you know it. And because you’re such a good girl who loves her Daddy very much and wants to see him happy, especially in his fragile condition…” He looked at me pouting but with mischief in his eyes. “You’ll do this for your Daddy and stop fighting me on it.”

“Daddy please,” I pleaded leaning forward taking his hand. “There is a tone of other people more qualified than me to take over. I’m not ready, I know you think I am, but I don’t think I will ever be ready. If I’m being honest, the whole thing scares the shit out of me. I’m just going to fuck it up.”

“Darlin’ I don’t think it’s possible to fuck things up any more than they already are.”

  “Daddy…”

“A member of our family has been at the head of the table for the last forty years. You’re the last remaining member of our family. You must do this. I don’t want anyone else in the seat.”

“You’re going to be great Sweetheart; I promise. You have been at my knee since the day I took over; before that even. You know everything there is to know about this business. Please Sweetheart, please, I need you to do this for…” cough, “for…” cough, “for me.”

I reached for the oxygen mask settling it in place as a coughing fit took hold. Worry ran through me like a freight train while I waited to see if the fit would settle or if this was going to be the one. The time his lungs finally gave out and the sickness finally took him

Slowly the coughing subsided, and dad’s breathing returned to normal. I handed him a bottle of water, holding the straw for him.

“You have to take it easy. You heard the doctor; you need to rest.” I fussed over him fluffing his pillows, adding an extra blanket to his bed, making sure he was warm enough.
