We stop on the twentieth floor bell. I strut my stuff in front of him to taunt him. There’s a large surge of lust coursing through my veins. He remains a perfect gentleman, by holding the door open for me. I take my spot next to Paul, but he stares at me with disgust in his eyes. The laptops plug into the sockets. The meeting seems to last forever tonight.
“I can’t believe you’re one of them! No man will ever want you now!” Paul whispers to me. The vampires in the room are overwhelming. That was not the proper thing to say to me.
My attention turns to him, and I smile wickedly at him. I make it a point to show my teeth. He twists his face at me. “You’re fucking gross, and you have fangs!”
He instantly pisses Christian off.
“You might want to watch, what you say to me,” I warn him.
“That is the second time, you told me that. I should have known that you’re one of them. Do you drink blood also?” he boldly whispers back.
I try to ignore him, but he laughs at me. “The only kids you will make are freak shows!”
Christian heard enough, and with two swift movements, he slams Paul against the table. Christian places his hand over his chin, to make sure he faces me. “I believe you need to watch what you fucking say to her!”
Paul winces in pain. “She’s a fucking freak show! You have to put a fucking paper bag over her head just to fuck her!”
Shelly walks over, and she punches Paul in the stomach. “You’re a fucking moron! I don’t like her, but she deserves better from her own kind than what you’re willing to give!”
Paul groans as Christian slams his head on the table for a second time. Paul fires back. “I told the fucking truth! She will never make it in my world! No man is stupid enough, to make it past those hideous fangs of hers!”
I’ve heard enough, and I move my laptop to the side. Christian makes sure he looks at my face. I grab Paul’s face. “I should kill you for saying that. I’ve been feeling extra hungry lately. I would love to rip out your precious throat. Idiots like you, make me very hungry. You might even help my fangs come out to play. Thanks for being such an asshole! I will gladly take a vampire, over a pathetic excuse of a human being you are. There’s nothing remotely human about you. You’re more of a monster, than the rest of us will ever be. Please, don’t worry about me; I have no intentions on fucking your kind. You’re just another disgusting pig.”
Christian slams him against the wall then he escorts Paul off his property. In five minutes, Tracy hired a vampire assistant. “I will never go against my own kind ever again. I thought Paul was different. I was obviously wrong.”
Christian takes his seat, and he madly types away on his computer. Suddenly, my messenger blinks. I view his message, to find a sweet one from him.
Hottwin2: You may call me stupid. I find you sexy, and I had no idea what you went through. Nobody will ever insult, my Princess ever again!
The sentiment is endearing, and so I quickly type him back.
Vampprincess1: I never dated anyone. I had to deal with Paul's type all my life, and I’m used to it now. I appreciate the chivalry.
I click send and a small chuckle escapes Christian. He types me, after he receives my message.
Hottwin2: Would you like me, to take you out tonight?
I have no idea how to answer his question. I watch another person give a presentation about his current hotels. I found the courage and typed him.
Vampprincess1: I will go out with you as long as you pay.
A small giggle left my throat, after I press send. Christian stares at me with his perfect ultramarine eyes, and they are sparkling at me.
Hottwin2: I know you are joking, but I always pay anyway. What will you do for me in return?
Vampprincess1: I charge by the hour. What do you want me to do to you?
Hottwin2: I thought I would hike up your dress. Moreover, massage what is between your thighs. I may even use my tongue a few times too. You can also return the favor if you like. I would love to end that beautiful virgin mouth of yours.
He causes me to blush with his sexual innuendos. My hair isn’t the only thing that’s red.
Vampprincess1: Oh, you’re a naughty man! I only play with boyfriends though.
Hottwin2: I already thought that I was your boyfriend. Did you change your mind?
This is the first time he ever considered us an item. I blush again and type another response to him.
Vampprincess1: You never officially asked me, and you’re assuming that we are an item.
Christian gives his presentation to the board, as he stares at me. He finishes his presentation, and returns to his seat. I wait for him, to type another response. I pull his spreadsheets together, and my messenger flashes again.
Hottwin2: Pardon me for assuming. Do you want to be my girlfriend? Check yes or no at the box. I am patiently waiting for your answer.
Shelly turns around to Christian, and drops him a little note. She makes her move. “We can discuss things in private, Chris,” she seductively whispers to him.
Christian gazes over at me. “I will have to let you know later. I am trying to figure out, if the woman I have interest in, will give me a response back,” he whispers back.
I’m not happy, and I surely don’t want another night like the one from over the weekend to happen again. I quickly type a response to him.
Vampprincess1: I want you Christian. The jealousy move is tacky. I give you a big hell yes to that check mark!
Christian clears his throat to Shelly. “I am sure you are a wonderful vampire, but I promised my girlfriend, I would take her out this evening.”
I grin at my new boyfriend. The meeting talks about their new acquisition in Greece. I watch Christian beam with pride as he discusses it. The two-hour meeting adjourns for the evening. Shelly waits for Christian, to finish his conversation with another vampire. He finishes talking to him after five minutes, and then he turns his attention to Shelly.
“I’m always available, if you ever change your mind, Christian. I can fulfill your needs as a vampire,” she seductively whispers to him.
She makes me upset, especially with how she stares directly at me, and she purposely leans in on my boyfriend.
Christian takes a step backwards. “Like I said before, I am sure you are a wonderful vampire, but I already met someone, who I want.”
Shelly hands her business card to him and walks out. He flicks her card on the table and leaves it there.
Christian and I put our laptops away. It is hard to ignore him, when his eyes are boring into the back of my head. He steps in behind me, and he wraps those muscular arms around my waist. “I meant every single word of it too. Shall we go on our date now?”
I lean back and inhale his musky cologne. I tilt my head to kiss his cheek softly. I try not to leave a lipstick mark on his cheek. We walk hand in hand, out of his building together. He aids me inside the limousine. The laptops drop to the floorboard. Without a second thought, he moves me to his lap. My boyfriend with the back of his hand caresses my cheek. He rubs his thumb over my bottom lip. Christian leans in to kiss me, but my cell phone halts our precious moment.
“I’m sorry Chris, but this is Saber.”
Christian slinks back in his seat, and allows me to talk to my grandfather. “Hi and what can I do for you this evening?”
Saber laughs joyfully. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything important. I know you have been working hard for Chris lately. I wanted to check in on you, to see if everything is going okay?”
My hand rests on his cheek. “Everything is fine, and you couldn’t have called at a more perfect time. Is there anything else, I can do for you?”
“I want to plan a shopping trip for you. You desperately need a new wardrobe. May I arrange for you to shop at Fierce Apparel in about two weeks? I want to buy a new wardrobe for you. Sean has a decent wardrobe for you in mind. Also, it gives your dear old grandfather, another excuse to spend tons of money on his one and only gr
anddaughter.”
“I don’t know what to say, but I guess it would be okay.”
“Is Chris, around you?”
“He’s sitting, right next to me.”
“Good! Put him on the phone for me, please.”
I hand Chris my phone. “Grandpa wants to have a word with you.”
Christian takes my phone nervously. He starts a conversation with him, but he continues to stroke my cheek with the back of his hand, and he answers all his questions. “That is fine with me. I have to check my schedule, but in two weeks that should be okay. I will make sure she suffers at the hands of Sean. I am in agreement with you that she needs to get out every now and then. I am taking her out right now. That is okay too, and I will tell her for you, goodnight Saber.”
Christian hands me the phone. “Saber told me, to remind you that he will have a limousine ready for your makeover in two weeks. He also wants me, to inform you that he loves you very much.”
“I love him too,” I bashfully admit.
Christian pulls me even closer to him. I lean my head on his shoulder. We pull into another large dock. There are quite a few boats chained to the dock. He exits the limousine first, and he holds out his hand to me. We walk along the pier, and laugh over the events from tonight. We stroll to the end of the pier and once again, I gaze at the stars above us. The stars are out of hiding. You couldn’t have planned for a more perfect evening. He leaves his expensive coat in the limousine, and I left my blazer in the limousine. Christian points out Virgo to me, the North Star, and he seems to know more constellations than I knew of. He shapes the stars out for me, to see the constellations clearer. That is when he makes his move. He leans down, and he carefully places his lips over mine. I have no idea what to do next. My lips seem to know what they’re doing, even though I have no clue if it’s even right. He moves me closer to him and kisses me deeply. I have, to be dreaming right now. This must be another side effect of his blood. I will wake up in my bed all alone again. I wrap my arms around his neck. He slides his tongue in my mouth, and he entices mine to participate. My tongue rubs his in return. The make out session lasts for a good ten minutes until the sounds of sneers sneak in from behind us.
Christian pauses, and he whips around quickly. There are twenty rogues glaring at us. The rogues ruin my special moment with him. Luckily, my cell phone is with me. I quickly slid the casing off, and the alarm sounds in seconds. He’s extremely grateful that I remembered my cell. His cell remains in the limousine. My heels are off, and I place my phone in his pocket. He steps in front of me. “I will advise you all, to leave at once.”
The rogues laugh at him. “Give us the bitch, and we will let you continue with your existence.”
“Well… since you put it that way.” Chris pulls his hair back in a low ponytail. This will probably be the last time; he ever leaves home without his guns. The pier has backup in five minutes. Chris dismantles six of the rogues. I chuck another heel at one of the rogues, and watch him pop like a water balloon. Chris laughs at my heel throwing skills. They try to lunge after me, which was another mistake. Their two heads pop off their shoulders. It feels like twisting a rubber ball filled with water. Ian saves us, by handing out guns. I shot one of them off Chris. Ian splits two in half. Zane lands for the other ten rogues. He threw a silver bomb at them.
Chris yanks me back in time. We took care of the twenty rogues, with just the four of us.
Ian starts piling the bodies on top of each other. “We had to make sure you’re okay. The others are in a middle of a poker game.”
His mood turns south, and he’s upset. When we return to the limousine, he pulls out his cell, and he quickly dials a bunch of numbers. He yells in a different language. I wait until he finishes, and remain patient next to him. He returns to kissing my lips softly. We make it home, after another short make out session. Every single part of my body responds, to his tender touch. My body yearns for more attention from him. The lioness wants to pounce, but I have to tame her for now. He’s about to go on a warpath, and everyone in it will receive his riot act. For the first time, I didn’t cause his temper to flare. I actually have a boyfriend now. He gave me my first official kiss. I check the date, and it is September the seventeenth. He’s my first real boyfriend. I feel extremely giddy for this moment. My boyfriend directs me, to return to my bedroom. After taking a shower, and a change of clothes, I wrote on my calendar our first official date. I also wrote that Chris is mine on this date. I record the important date, and drift off to sleep.

The nightmares commence, but this time I dream of Shelly and Tracy burning me, or hurting the little girl who has no name. I wake up again with cold sweats, and the nightmares feel so real.
Chris knocks on my door. “Are you okay?”
I gasp for air and allow him, to enter my bedroom. The fear never fades away.
Christian takes out a washcloth, and he returns to my bedside. “You are having a lot of nightmares lately. What could be causing them?”
“That stupid Bill 203 gives me the most nightmares. The players change, but it still has the same ending. I’m the one, who is either staked, or burned alive. I’m sorry, but that’s what my nightmares are usually about,” I explain as I take a cup of water from him.
“You should realize that I will never allow anything to happen to you. There is something about you, drawing me in. I need you too much. I want to keep you always with me. I do not understand why you are still having these nightmares,” he kisses my forehead.
“I believe that as long as Reno is out there, I will always have these nightmares. You’re not doing anything wrong, to cause my nightmares,” I confide in him.
“Move over and I will lay beside you. I want to see if it stops, when I am close to you.”
I scoot over and watch him take off his shirt. My hormones intensify, and they are bouncing all over the place. We entangle are arms together. My thoughts speak loud and clear that this is not real. It surprises me that someone like him actually has interest in someone like me. I give him a kiss goodnight, and he reciprocates. My body is anxious for more affection. I yearn for him to take me right here and now, but I’m sure he wants to take things slow. I will eventually have to ask him what his intentions are, soon.

The dream appears familiar to me again. I remain in the emerald field full of wildflowers. The little girl walks over to me, and she hands me an ivory feather. My head cocks to the side, and stares at her strangely. I try to figure out, what this feather symbolizes.
“That’s my name,” she explains. She giggles, and then she disappears. I hate the vague clues she gives me.
~~~***~~~
The sound of the alarm clock awakens me. There are a dozen ruby roses sitting on my desk. I read the card. “I would love to watch you sleep, but I had an emergency meeting this morning. I will see you later, Chris.”
My heart swells, to the size of a hot air balloon. There’s nothing that can kill my mood. I shower and change into my workout clothes. I have to finish the week out with Sam. The workouts will remain inside the gym.
“I overheard someone say that Chris and you are an item now, is that true?” Sam cocks his head, and asks me.
I try to ignore him, but he repeats the question to me.
“Why do you even care? I’m not trying to sound mean, but what does my personal life have anything to do with you?” I snap at him.
Sam doesn’t appear happy, after he receives a tongue-lashing from me.
A few hours later, Christian walks in, and he presses the emergency stop button on my treadmill, leaning in to kiss me. “I am sorry for not watching you sleep this morning. There was an emergency meeting that I needed to handle.”
Sam rolls his eyes, and he leans back in his chair.
I toy with Christian’s tie. “I understand, and I won’t hold it against you.”
“I have to alter your training schedule right now. We have an emergency meeting,
and you have to come with me. Sophia is packing your bags as we speak. We have to leave, and visit my homeland,” Christian startles me with an unexpected trip.
“This is my time to train her!” Sam argues back.
Christian stands toe to toe with Sam. “You will still train her, but you will train her in Greece.”
Sam cowers to Christian, and he nods his head. Sam left the gym in a hurry, because he has to pack his bags. He complains about it, but he’s also talking on his cell phone with his girlfriend.
My bags sit by the door along with Christian’s suitcases. I also notice that our laptops are ready to go. Alexander’s bags are packed, along with his laptop. A few other men are also joining us. Ian, Charlie, Leo, and Zane have their luggage ready to go. The men roll out gray cases. They quickly, load the Hummers down.
Christian and I sit next to each other, with his hand resting over mine. Our relationship doesn’t surprise Alexander. My guess is that nobody really argues with Christian. We cruise to the other side of the island and there’s a small landing strip. A private jet waits on standby. This isn’t a small plane. Ian and Zane move our luggage inside for us. Christian escorts me inside, and his plane astounds me. I’ve never seen such a gorgeous plane in person. I notice a huge sectional that can easily sit all of us comfortably. The other side of the plane has a built-in kitchen with a wrap-around bar. A set of wine glasses are hanging upside down from the top of the bar. He gestures for me, to sit down on the sectional. Christian moves to the cockpit and gives the pilots elicit instructions.
