“Because I want to learn so I can surprise a future date. And if I’m learning, you are.”
“I don’t remember when we signed that contract.”
“Are they always like this?” Arden asked, and Liam snorted.
“Always. Since birth. But you get used to it.”
He paused for dramatic effect. “Sometimes. Maybe.”
“Aww, I love you,” she said and kissed his cheek.
“I love you, too, Liam,” Ethan said, clasping his hands below his chin. “I love you, love you, love you.”
“You’re an asshole,” Lincoln said and then lifted his chin at the other man.
“Thank you.”
“No, he’s an asshole because I love you, Liam. I love you, love you, love you.”
“You’re all assholes.”
“Aw, but we’re your assholes,” Ethan said and straightened. “Wait, that wasn’t a good idea. I have a better line.”
“No, I don’t really care,” Arden said, laughing. “Because we need to get these done, and you guys talking about your assholes really isn’t making me feel like baking.”
“My woman, everyone. My woman.”
Liam kissed her neck, and she shivered before she pushed him away, and they went back to learning how to bake.
As soon as the brownies were in the oven, and he’d secretly given half a slice of bacon to a patiently waiting Jasper in the living room, he wrapped his arms around Arden’s waist and kissed her hard on the mouth.
“I smell bacon, mister.”
“This isn’t the bacon you’re looking for,” he said, waving his arms around.
“Aw, a Star Wars joke. You’re not getting off that easy. I know you’re feeding my dog bacon.”
“Just a little. I promise.”
“Well, at least you came out and admitted it.”
He tugged on her apron and grinned. “You know, I kind of like you in this apron.”
She grinned, her eyes going smoky. “Oh? Just the apron?”
He went impossibly hard beneath his jeans and swallowed. “Oh, yeah, and then I could just bend you over the...”
“We are still here,” Ethan growled. “Seriously. If you’re going to talk about screwing each other while she’s wearing the apron, wait until you’re behind closed doors.”
Liam flipped off his brother then smiled. “You know what? That’s a good idea.” He quickly gathered Arden up in his arms, laughed when she let out a squeal and wrapped her arms around his neck, and then he carried her to the bedroom. “Don’t forget to take the brownies out of the oven when the timer goes off.”
“Liam Montgomery!” She giggled again when he put his hands on the perfect places. He slammed the door shut and heard a whine from Jasper before the dog trotted off, probably towards one of the other guys.
“We can still hear you?” Ethan shouted. Liam just laughed and kissed his woman again.
“You really don’t want to trust us with baking,” Lincoln growled. “You guys can do each other later. Or...I don’t care, you can have sex right out here in the hallway. I don’t mind.”
“I care,” Ethan growled.
“Well, he’s not my brother. I really don’t care. Just don’t burn these brownies. Because you guys will blame me for this somehow.”
“I love this,” Arden said, laughing as she rubbed Liam over his pants. “But we should probably not let the boys burn anything.”
“I can be quick,” Liam said, biting her lip.
“Oh, I know you can get me off quickly. But for you…I want to take a little longer. So after, I promise.” She kissed him again, and he growled.
“That better be a promise.”
“Oh, it’s a promise. A very, very good promise.”
He slapped her on the ass as they made their way out of the bedroom, and she let out a gasp, looking over her shoulder.
“Liam!”
“That’s what I want to hear, you guys coming up and taking care of these brownies,” Lincoln said, laughing.
“Yes, let’s take care of the brownies, and then I can deal with your erection later,” Arden said, completely straight-faced.
“Aw, you come after brownies,” Ethan said and then paused. “Literally.”
“Okay, that’s enough,” Liam growled, adjusting himself behind his zipper. “Let’s start on the next thing. Just know there will be revenge for this, Ethan.”
“Oh, I figured there would be. But I’ll have to find someone who can actually handle me first.”
Liam’s brows rose, and then he kissed Arden on the neck again. He loved doing that.
“And when you do? I just can’t wait to see it.”
