“From reading and practice,” she replied smugly.

“Oh my god, I’ve never,” JC slid out of Reggie.

Reggie looked at JC as she rolled off of her with a sad look on her face.

“JC, are you okay, did I upset you?”

“No, but this is the first time I’ve used this on anyone. You are the first person I’ve ever wanted to do this with.”

“We are going to have to do that again,” Reggie said, pulling JC back onto the bed with her.

“So, I can guess you really enjoyed yourself?”

“Yes, JC, I did but I don’t know if I’m going to be able to walk tomorrow,” she laughed.

JC crawled into Reggie’s arms and shortly after, they both dozed off.

A few hours later, Reggie woke up feeling aroused, she just couldn’t get enough of JC. Gently rubbing her back, she smiled down, as JC opened her eyes.

Reggie moved out of the bed, picked up the strap on and as she went into the bathroom, she turned and looking at JC, she smiled, saying.” I want you on your knees in the middle of the bed when I get back.”

JC jumped off the bed and ran past her. She plopped down on the toilet, to relieve herself, while she watched Reggie wash the strap on. Once done, she washed her hands and ran back into the bedroom.

Reggie followed her back into the room with the strap on in the position—she needed it to be. She looked at the bed, to find JC on her knees in the middle, just looking at her, smiling.

“You are really going to enjoy this, aren’t you?”

  “Yes, Reggie,” She said.

For the next hour, or so, Reggie had her way with JC, with no complaints from her until they were both exhausted. As they cuddled together, Reggie knew JC would never use the payback excuse to have her way with her again. Well, if she did, she knew she would get as good as she got.

The next morning, JC woke with Reggie watching her. She smiled, giving Reggie a kiss good morning.

  Chapter Nine

For the next three days, they spent all of their time in the condo, making love, cooking for each other, talking, and watching movies.

Tuesday, around noon, they were sitting down to lunch, when Reggie’s cell phone rang. She answered it. “Chief Stone speaking. Hi, Bill, what’s going on, you never call me unless it’s an emergency?”

“I’m sorry, Reggie but you will have to cut your vacation short. Tell JC I’m sorry, we need you back here as soon as possible.”

“Is it the whole team, Bill?”

“No, Reggie. This request was just for you and your special skills.”

“Okay, Bill, I’ll let you know when I’ll be there. I need to talk to JC first. I’ll call back within a half an hour.”

“Reggie, I promise I’ll make it up to you guys when this is over.”

“It’s okay, Bill. Thanks, talk to you soon.”

She immediately called Linley. “Linley it’s me Reggie, I have to leave. Here’s JC’s number. She will let you know what’s going on as soon as we find out. The number is 416-555-3546. Love you, Cousin. I’ll talk to you soon and you remember where everything is if something happens but we both know nothing will, because if it does, I’m counting on you and JC coming to get me. I love you, take care.”

  “Reggie, what’s going on?”

“JC, I need a flight back to Toronto this afternoon. Can you take me to the airport? I don’t want to ruin your vacation.”

“Not a problem, Reggie. I’ll even fly you to Toronto. I don’t want to be here without you, I’ll do whatever you want and you know I won’t disobey an order but I’m going home with you.”

“JC, this is not an order. I’m asking you as my girlfriend. What do you want to do?”

“Well, I might as well take you back. I can unpack the rest of my stuff while you’re gone and I’ll be there when you get the rest of the information and then I can call Linley.”

“Honey, call the airport. Tell them we are coming for the plane and have it fueled and have the flight plan done.

“Okay, Reggie, I’m on it. Would you throw my stuff into my bag for me, while you’re doing yours?”

“Yes, dear,” Reggie said as she hugged JC tightly.

After they called John to come and pick up the car, they headed for the airport. All the pre-flight checks were done by JC, so she informed the crew that she would be piloting the plane and that she didn’t need anyone else except her and Reggie. They took off twenty minutes later.

Four hours later JC was taxing to the cargo area at Pearson International airport. They unloaded and headed for the base in Reggie’s Jeep.

The Colonel was waiting for them in his office. They agreed that JC could use Reggie’s jeep if she wanted to, she made sure that JC had the spare key to her house and Jeep. They walked into Colonel Parent’s office hand in hand. Bill didn’t mind at all. All he cared about, was that his team were happy. He allowed JC to stay for the briefing.

“Reggie, here’s what we got. Some shipments from Iraq have been coming into Canada and the United States, loaded with drugs and all we know is, it’s coming through our own base in Iraq, so you are being requested to go undercover with the DEA in Iraq.

“Bill, what time do I have to head out?”

“I’m sorry, Reggie, but there’s a chopper waiting for you at Pearson right now. All your gear is already loaded, they’re just waiting for you.”

“Are you going to take her back to the airport, JC?”

“If I’m aloud to, Sir, I would like to.”

“Get going, you two. Oh, and, Reggie, I got those forms you asked me for. I filled them out how you wanted them, so all you have to do is sign them and JC can bring them bring them back to me.”

  “Thanks, Bill, I appreciate it.”

JC helped Reggie load her personal gear that she had stored in her office and drove her to the cargo area. Reggie signed the paperwork Bill had given her, then she sealed them in the envelope and gave it to JC to deliver.

JC got out of the jeep with Reggie and helped load her gear into the chopper. Reggie turned to her, giving her a hug and deep kisses, as they said their goodbyes.

“Reggie, you take care of yourself and come back to me safely please. I don’t want to lose you just when I found you.”

“I promise, JC. The devil himself will not keep me from coming back to get you.”

Reggie hugged her again and jumped into the helicopter. JC watched her, until she was out of sight. She got back into the jeep and headed for home.

Once Reggie was in the air, she called Chris. “Chris, hi, look I just got an assignment with the DEA in Iraq and if anything happens to me I want you to tell JC all about Debbie please.”

“First off nothing is going to happen to you and yes I will tell her. For now, good luck and stay safe I will keep an eye on JC for you too.”

“I will, Chris. Take care and give my love to the wife and kids.” She hung up.

JC drove to Reggie’s place. She parked the jeep and went to the elevator carrying their two bags over her shoulder. She decided that she would do the laundry and found the laundry room off the kitchen. When she was empting Reggie’s bag, a piece of paper fell out with her name on it. JC opened the paper and read.

JC, somewhere in the last few weeks I fell in love with you and now I have a reason to come home. Beside Linley, I consider you to be a part of my family. I plan on holding you in my arms again real soon. I love you JC. I will call you whenever I can. Your name is going to be Jeff, just in case someone is monitoring my calls. And my last name is White, okay love. Oh, and it looks like I will be a Master Corporal too. Again, I love you JC and don’t forget to call Linley and I’ll call real soon. Love Reggie P.S. And talk to Bill if you need anything, or have any questions.

JC went to Reggie’s couch and laid down, forgetting about the laundry. She couldn’t believe Reggie had left her a note and said that she loved her. She realized she loved Reggie too. Three hours later she was woken by her cell phone ringing.

  “Hello, Master Corporal Mackenzie speaking.”

“Hi, JC, it’s Linley. I didn’t hear from you, so I decided to call and find out what’s going on. What’s up with Reggie, do you know anything? I didn’t like her message she left. I just got called in by my supervisor wanting to know what was going on, because Reggie had called the office after she left the message on my service.”

“Oh my god, Linley I’m so sorry I didn’t call you. I found a note from her and it threw me for a few. She’s gone to Iraq. All I know is it has to do with the importing of drugs to Canada and the United States. She did say she would call me if she could.”

“She threw you for a loop, did she now?”

“You could say that, Linley. She wrote me that she loves me.”

  “Do you love her, JC?”

  “Yeah, I do very much.”

“You got my number, so let me know what’s going on whenever you can, or if you hear from her.”

“Are you on a secure line, Linley?”

  “Yes, I am.”

She informed Linley with as much information as she could.

“JC, if you get any news please let me know.”

“I will, Linley. What I hear you will hear.”

  •••

Reggie arrived in Iraq at the Canadian camp just outside of Bagdad. She was now Master Corporal White, a traffic technician. Her unit was responsible for all supplies coming and going from the base. She would have to check everyone out, including the rest of the traffic technicians. After only a week, she found the traffic technician who was involved in the smuggling operation but he wouldn’t give up the rest of the team. The next morning, she was informed that she would be escorting a convoy into Bagdad, since the last two convoys were attacked. Reggie wasn’t allowed to go into Bagdad, she had no clearance but the Commanding Officer informed her that she was now cleared to go, as a Master Corporal. Reggie couldn’t refuse a direct order. She loaded up her gear and headed for the convoy. No one knew that she was carrying her own weapons, so when she was given a weapon loaded with blanks, they thought everything was going to go as planned. The plan was to kill everyone in the convoy but their own men. Five out of the twenty were insurgents and they were there to steal the shipment. They were the ones bringing the drugs into the base and having them shipped out.

Three hours later, all hell broke loose. They were under attack. Reggie figured out right away that her gun was loaded with blanks, when she shot a guy at close range but he didn’t go down. She killed him with her knife. She then threw her rifle down and pulled out her two sigs Sauer P226 and went to work. She was pissed that someone had given her up and she wanted to know who. No one fucked her over and got away with it. Next thing Reggie knew, she was hit from behind with a rifle butt, she also knew it was a blonde woman who had hit her.

The next night 2100 hrs JC‘s pager went off at the same time her phone rang. It was Linley. “JC, I just got informed that something happened to Reggie, what’s going on? Why didn’t you call me?”

“I haven’t heard anything, Linley, she hasn’t called since she left just over a week ago and my pager just went off. I have to go to work, I’ll call you as soon as I hear anything.”

“Okay, JC, take care, I’m sorry, I’m just worried about her.”

“I know, Linley, I am too.” JC hung up after saying goodbye, grabbed her pistols and ran for her Porsche. She put the light on the dash and floored it to the base. Ten minutes later she pulled up in front of the hanger, as Bill came out to meet her. “Sir, what’s going on? Linley was called and told something had happened to Reggie.”

“Fuck, we were the ones who were supposed to get a hold of her, someone jumped the gun, JC. I need a big favor.”

“Anything you want, you got it, Sir.”

“Can you call Linley and then fly to Calgary and bring her back here? Her commanding officer has already been called and she will meet you at the airport. JC, she’s going with your team to Iraq. She will be commanding the unit.”

JC didn’t hear the last. She was back in her car and tapped her Bluetooth, to make a call to the airport, to file the flight plan and to have the plane readied on the tarmac, waiting for take-off. Her cell phone rang as soon as she disconnected the call. “Master Corporal Mackenzie.”

“JC, it’s me. Slow down and listen. You ran off without me finishing. Once you get Linley, head right back. The team will meet you at the airport. I will file the flight plan, you will refuel while the gear is being loaded and then you leave for Iraq, I will be briefing all of you in the air. I’m coming with you.”

“Okay, Sir, I’m almost at the airport now. Sir, I need to go, my other line is ringing, if you need me call my cell phone.”

  “I’ll see you soon JC.”

I’ll be back here in 9 hours. I’ll see you all at the airport then.”

“Oh, JC, your new rifle came in, I’ll bring it to the airport with us.”

JC answered the other line when it rang again. It was the control tower, telling her to go to runway 23 when she arrived and they wanted to know what she was driving, so she could clear through the gate at the opposite end of the runway. She told them what she was driving and she didn’t need an escort, because she had her flashing light on the dash. They told her that all air traffic would be put in a hold pattern until she took off. Five minutes later, JC had Linley on the phone. She had just cleared the gate and could see her plane light in the distance. “Linley, do you know where to meet me at the airport?”

“Yes, JC. I’m being escorted in three hours, to where your plane will be landing. Where did you get a pilot so fast?”

“I’m the pilot. I’ve been flying for years and you will be my co-pilot”.

“Do you know what’s going on yet, JC?”

“No, Linley, I don’t but we will be briefed in the air on our way to Iraq. The Colonel is coming with us. That’s all I know for now. I’ll see you in about four-and-a-half hours.”

Four hours later, JC was cleared to land in Calgary, she would be taking off right away from runway 3. Again, all air traffic was held until she had refueled and was back in the air. She made the flight in record time. Twenty-five minutes later she and Linley were on their way back to Toronto. Four hours later, JC requested permission to land on runway 23. She would be loaded and refueled right on the runway.

“All traffic will be put in a hold pattern for thirty minutes, or until you are cleared for takeoff when you get here, Master Corporal. Your crew and team are here on the runway awaiting your arrival.”

“Thank you, tower, I see the runway I’ll be on the ground in a few minutes.”

Ten minutes later, JC was again taxing to where they were directing her to go. Twenty minutes later, she was refueled and the team had loaded their gear. They were now waiting on the other pilot to show up.

“Tower, this is leer jet 769, is my replacement pilot here yet?”

“Yes, Master Corporal Mackenzie, he’s on his way to the plane now. Good luck and safe trip, Master Corporal Mackenzie, and Warrant officer Stone.”

“Thank you, tower, we will. Linley, since when did you become a Warrant Officer?”

“Well, JC, I’ve been a Warrant Officer for two years now. I’m still in the reserves, sorry I didn’t tell you.”

“Not a problem, Linley. I don’t have a problem with you weekend warrior types anyway my father is one,” she said laughing.

JC left the plane to see what was taking so long. When she walked down the steps she saw the Colonel talking to a Major. They were watching the last of the gear being loaded. The Major turned to where JC was standing.

“What are you doing here, Dad?”

“I’m the new pilot, Master Corporal and you are going to be the co-pilot, once you are briefed. Any problem with that, Master Corpora?”

“No problems with that at all, Sir.” She hugged her dad. “Thanks, dad, for doing this.”

“Not a problem, anything for family. Your mom and I know what
Reggie means to you, and you know me, anything for Canada too.”

  Chapter Ten

Reggie woke up but didn’t know where she was, or who had her. She hurt all over and when she opened her eyes, she realized she was strung up in an X pattern. She knew her left wrist was broken, by the angle her hand was hanging and she couldn’t move it at all. Her nose was also broken. She didn’t know if she had any internal injuries, since she couldn’t move. She drifted off again, thinking about JC. Her last thoughts, before she passed out were, ‘come get me baby, I need you.’

“Everyone on board, briefing in ten minutes. Major, get us off the ground, if you please.”

“No problem, Colonel,” Doug said, as he headed to the cockpit.

In ten minutes they were in the air heading for Nova Scotia, then on to England.

“Sergeant Turner, I would like to introduce you to Warrant Officer Linley Stone, Reggie’s cousin. She will be in charge of this mission, the rest of the chain of command is normal,” the Colonel said. “Now, everyone, listen up. Here’s what information we have so far. Reggie was sent on a convoy, even though she wasn’t cleared to go, someone over rode the base commander on this one. He was told that she was cleared. Plain and simple, Reggie was setup and she was given a rifle with blanks in it.”

“Do we have any idea who pulled this off, Sir?” Chris asked.

“Yes, we do. They think it was the traffic technician who Reggie had in custody, before she was sent out. It had been planned for days, so she wouldn’t have had any idea what was going on. Linley, you’ve done this before, so what’s your plan?”

“Well, Sir, you and Chris go over everything we know and in six hours we will brief the rest of the team.”

“Okay, Linley, I agree with that. Reggie and four other military members were taken prisoner just outside of Bagdad. Ten other soldiers were killed, along with three insurgents. They found Reggie’s knife in one of them. We don’t even know where they are being held but we are working on it. We will get more information once we arrive. We will have another briefing in six hours, so I want you all to get some rest and, JC, you go ahead and change into your uniform, then go up front and see how the Major is doing.”
