“May the best person win.”
Cocking her head to one side a little smirk pulls at the corners of her mouth.
“I’ll drink to that.”
Clinking our glasses together we both take a sip. Our gazes are fixed on each other. The depths of her green eyes could drown a man, if he looked into them long enough. She may come across as feisty, throwing her sass around, but deep down I know she’s hiding the real her. Maybe if I could get her to open up a little…
“So, want to tell me what happened with Steve?”
“Nope. He’s not worth the waste of breath” I nod. “I’d prefer to keep my hate all fired up, so I can beat him in this fucked game you’re playing.”
Putting the glass back on the desk She stands up grabbing her bag from the floor.
“I really should go. It’s been one hell of a long day. I need food and a long hot bath.”
I walk with her to the door stopping her in her tracks, stretching my arm out across the opening until my hand is resting on the opposite side.
“You know I could oblige in at least one of those things.”
“Is that right?”
“Yeah. We could go and grab some Chinese maybe and go back to your place.”
Shifting just an inch, I fill the doorway with my body and push it up against hers, caging her in against the wall. Her soft breathing changes to heavy gasps as I move the hair from her face.
“This isn't happening, Dylan.”
Oh, she’s so fucking wrong this time.
Without giving her another second to reject me, I clamp my mouth to hers. Threading my fingers into the thick mass of hair and pulling her closer to me, until she’s melting against me and I devour her. My tongue pushes through the partly open seam of her lips, until we’re fighting for dominance just like we did the night we met. Curling her fingers around the lapels of my jacket she tugs me closer to her, until there’s no space between us.
What I’d give to fuck her right here against this wall.
Using my knee, I part her legs and pull her skirt up her thighs until it’s around her hips. Trailing the tips of my fingers over the silky, soft skin over to her pussy. Finding her clit and I press my finger against it again and again, until she groans out. Lifting up her leg she wraps it around the back of one of mine, smoothing her hand down and rubbing her palm over my hard cock. Thrusting my hips forwards I fill her hand, but the feeling is cut short as she brings her hand back up and pushes my jacket from my shoulders. She then unbuttons my shirt in a rushed fashion, like she can’t get it open quick enough. She parts the two halves and biting down on her lip, slides her hands all over my torso.
“I want you Serena, so fucking bad.”
“Fuck Dylan, we really shouldn't be doing this…”
“I don’t care.”
Something passes through her eyes, an acceptance of some kind, because with a smirk she gives me the answer I wanted,
“So, what are you waiting for?”
I don't need telling twice. Pushing my fingers under the waistband of her silky knickers and over her mound, she lets out gasp as I slide a finger into her. She’s soaking fucking wet. As much as I’d like to stay here and make her come like a freight train, I’m way too impatient.
“Fuck me Dylan.” She must have read my mind. Serena reaches down between us, fumbling around with the fastener and unzips my trousers. Reaching inside, her fingers wrap around the head of my dick and pulls it out. I slide her knickers down her legs, she kicks them off as I get out a condom. Rolling it on in less than a second, I lift her up with my hands at the back of her thighs and steady her against the wall. It’s just like I envisioned, I waste no time pushing inside of her until I’m filling her right to the hilt. I get a better grip on her thighs and drive my dick in and out of her until she groaning through her release. Her walls are clamping down on to me urging me on, coating me in her orgasm. Harder and faster, I carry on until I feel the tightness in my balls and I’m releasing everything that's been pent up since Saturday night.
Chapter Seventeen
Serena
Stupid, stupid Serena.
What was I thinking?
That’s right, I wasn’t.
I’ve dug my heels in, stood my ground, determined I wasn’t going to let him get his way. Yet throw in him coming to my defence with Steve and kissing me like I’m all he sees; I was a total goner. My walls came tumbling down around me right along with my knickers. I’ve never felt anything like it in my life though. I now understand why he’s so confident. Not only is he a shark when it comes to his business, he also knows exactly how to push my lady buttons.
“Holy shit, baby. You have no idea how amazing you feel when you come on my dick.” His breath tickles my neck as he speaks, bringing me out of one of the most earth-shattering orgasms I’ve ever had. Even if it was all kinds of wrong.
I’ve just basically shagged my new boss. If this ever got out, I would be ruined. I’ll forever be known as the woman who fucked her way to the top.
No, No. I can’t have that. I’ve worked way too hard to make it this far on my own. I can’t let one momentary lapse kill my career.
“Please can you get off me Dylan.” My voice is cold and emotionless. Placing my hands on his shoulders I push him with what little energy I have left.
“Serena?” I can see the hurt in his eyes when he says my name. “Don’t do this, I wasn’t alone just then. I wasn’t the only one who felt it.”
Unwrapping my legs from around his waist, I push them to the floor giving him no choice but to let go of me.
“I have to go; this was a mistake.”
Not looking at him, unable to stand seeing him looking at me with disappointment on his face, I pull my skirt back down. Grabbing my bag from the floor where I dropped it when things started getting heated, I head straight for the door. Yanking it open, I don’t turn around as I whisper, “Goodbye Dylan.”
With them parting words I make quick work of getting away from the office building and Dylan Proctor as fast as I can. Although I have to push myself because I don’t think my legs want to work right now. The traitors seemed rather comfy wrapped around his trim hips, ensuring that we were connected as one.
He was right. He wasn’t the only one who felt the buzz between us. It was more than just the sexual frustration we were letting out when he was fucking me into next week. It was like he was marking his territory and showing me what it could be like, if only I let him in. Instead all I did was show him just how fucked up my marriage left me. I may put on a brave face and show the world that I’m this put together woman. What they don’t know is, in reality below the exterior is a shit load of scars. Scars I don’t let anyone see not even Bonnie.
Jumping into my car I start the engine and spin off the car park quicker than a formula one driver, in a bid to get away as quick as possible. It’s only when I return home later on in the evening and I’m stripping out of my clothes, that I realise I never picked up my knickers. I left them behind on Dylan’s office floor when I raced out of there. Oh well, at least he’ll have a reminder of our one and only time together.
At six pm on the dot there’s a bang on my front door; Bonnie. I’ve never in my life needed my best friend so much. It’s time I tell her what’s been going on….
“Well blow me down with a feather. You have had an interesting day, haven’t you? No wonder you needed the wine and I’m so glad I picked up two bottles.”
We’ve been huddled up on my sofa for the last hour and a half. We’ve eaten Chinese food and drank a bottle of wine already; mainly I drank. Whilst she sat there with her jaw hitting the floor, as I told her all about my interesting day.
“You have no idea, Bon. I swear it was like I was having an outer body experience the entire time we were having sex. I’ve never experienced anything like it, not even with Steve and we were married for crying out loud.”
“Wow. That’s some serious sh
it honey.”
“Tell me about it. I just freaked and left him standing there still with his cock hanging out.”
At that statement she snorts and spits her wine all down her chin as she laughs at me, “
“Oh my god, I would have loved to have seen that. The mighty Dylan Proctor with his junk hanging out, as a woman abandons him after sex.”
Now when she puts it like that it is sort of funny.
“Do you know what’s baffling me the most, Bon? The fact it’s been a few hours since I saw him, since he kissed me and yet I can still feel him everywhere. My lips still tingle from his kiss. My vagina feels like he’s still inside me, but what's worrying me is that I can feel him here.”
I place my hand that isn’t holding my wine glass over my chest. “You know what, it’s all your fault.”
“Mine?” She asks, pretending to be shocked.
“Yes, yours. It was all your idea to go out Saturday. It was you who persuaded me to let my hair down. Plus, I have to blame someone, I’m not gonna blame myself, am I?” I joke.
Just as we both finishing giggling like a couple of teenage girls, my phone pings with a text from a number I don’t recognize, but I soon know who it is the moment I read the message…
You may run from me Serena, but you can’t hide.
This is not over not by a long shot.
I am so screwed, figuratively, and literally.
Chapter Eighteen
Serena
I’m a coward. It’s the only way to describe me right now.
After Dylan's text last night and with my lack of response to it, I decided to hide. So, instead of going into the office where I know he can find me. I decided to give Jack a call and told him I had bit of a stomach bug. That I would work from home today and get started on my pitch for Dylan. I felt guilty for lying to Jack, but it’s the only way right now. I can’t risk Dylan coming to the office and looking for me. People will start asking questions. If I’m totally honest with myself, I wouldn’t know what say to him if I did see him. Being at home is the only place I have a choice on whether I speak to him or not. If he does come looking for me then I don’t have to open the door and face him. I’ve been that blindsided by him.
I’ve not even thought to ask how he actually did find me. I mean, I questioned him briefly about it, but he just brushed it under the carpet like it was no big deal. Well it is a big deal and if he can find that out and get a hold of my phone number, I’m sure he can find out my address.
The thought thrills and scares me. I’m also one big bag of contradictions and it’s pissing me off.
Concentrating the best, I can on my notes I’ve made for the pitch; which I’m epically failing at may I add. I go to the kitchen and make a coffee, to try and get my head back on my shoulders. My mind is going one hundred miles per hour, and not one of those thoughts are anything to do with my job.
His kiss.
His body.
The way he held me.
The feel of him as he moved inside of me.
Totally lost in my day dream as I stare out of the kitchen window, I’m brought back down to earth when there’s a loud bang on my front door.
Fuck, shit, and bollocks.
I freeze on the spot, I daren’t look who it is if it’s him, I know I’ll cave again. I’m too weak right now not give in to his advances and sweet-talking charm.
Maybe if I ignore it whoever it is will go away?
Standing where I am, I still don’t move when the excessive knocking comes again. Only louder this time followed by, “Serena, open this fucking door now.” The sound of Steve's voice booming through the door, sends prickles all over my skin. He’s not once ever come to see me since I walked out and left him.
So why now?
Just as the kettle is whistling at me, I get my legs into gear and go in the direction of my front door. Even if it’s just to tell him to ‘fuck off’ it would make me a happy woman.
Just as I’m getting there his voice rings out, “Serena, I know you’re in…” his words trail off as I swing the door open. Immediately giving him the curl up and die look.
“What the fuck do you want, Steve?” My hatred for him clear as day in my voice.
“Can I come in? He asks, as he looks over my shoulder, “We need to talk.”
Is he fucking serious right now?
Looking at him I realise he’s being deadly serious. Especially when he steps forward, expecting me to just let him waltz right in.
Yeah well, he can think again. Twat.
Slapping my hand onto the door frame, I stop him in his tracks.
“I don’t think so; you lost the right to be in my private space the minute I found you in bed with that skank. So, I’ll ask you again… what do you want? You have roughly five seconds before I slam the door in your face.” I warn him.
“Wow. I like this Serena, she’s feisty.”
Crossing my arms over my chest, I start to count…
“One…”
“Okay, okay stop. I’ve come to ask you to step down from the Proctor pitch. We both know you won’t beat me. I’m doing you a favour, saving you a shit load of embarrassment in the long run.”
I thought just looking at him was enough to boil my piss, but he’s just taken it to whole new level.
Not saying a word to him, I narrow my eyes taking in his stance and his lack of protection to his most prized possession… Before I can even think about what I’m doing my knee comes up, making direct contact with his party sausage of a dick. He doesn’t see it coming, within in seconds he’s down on his knees and cupping himself on my front door step. I’m surprised my neighbours haven’t come out to see what all the commotion is all about. He’s rolling around and moaning like the little bitch, I have always known he was. Yet I was unable admit it to myself until now. He’s not a man, he’s a pathetic weakling who thinks he’s god's gift.
“Go fuck yourself, Steve. I’ll see you in a week.”
With my parting words, I slam the door on him and go back to work.
Fuck Dylan Proctor, fuck Steve O’Malley. I’m going to win this competition for me and me alone.
No man is going to think they can tell me what to do and get away with it.
I’m a fighter and I have a plan that I intend on sticking to. And I have every intention of giving them pair a big fuck you when I win.
Chapter Nineteen
Dylan
It’s been a few days since I’ve seen or heard from Serena. I’m trying to give her some space. That’s what a decent man does, but it’s fucking killing me. I can still smell her perfume. Still feel her as I fucked her against my office wall. I have it on replay in slow motion in all its glory in my mind. The way she moaned my name. The feel of her tight muscles as she gripped me. It was enough to make me see double.
I’ve passed all the details over to Neil to draw up a contract for Boston Atomic. To prepared it so Serena solely handles the contract, tying her in to me. She’s probably going to murder me for this, but a man has to do what he needs to. I’m thirty-five years of age, and in all my adult years, I’ve never wanted a woman like I want her. Being the determined man that I am - I will get her.
Grabbing my jacket from the back of my chair, I throw it on. Grab my briefcase from the floor, sliding my phone into my pocket.
“Sandy, I’m popping out, any meetings for this morning just rearrange for me.” I tell her walking out of the office.
Pulling up at my destination, I head inside the building smirking to myself. The receptionist sees me as I walk through the glass door. Her eyes widening when she realises who I am.
“H... hello Mr Proctor, how can I help?”
“Is Serena Davenport in today?”
“Erm, yeah she is.” She picks up the phone to phone through, but I stop her, putting my hand on top of hers to stop her from picking it up.
Putting my finger over my lips in a shhh, motion I wi
nk.
“I’ll surprise her.”
Walking down the corridor, I make a quick dash heading for Serena’s office in case someone sees me and alerts her to the fact I’m here.
I walk through to where Serena’s office is and her assistant is tapping away at the computer in her own little world at her desk outside of Serena’s corner space. I walk up to the desk and stand before it, as she slowly looks up at me, a nervous smile forming on her lips.
“Hey. I’m here to see Ms Davenport.”
“Erm, is she expecting you?”
I mime the words no to her with a shake of my head and smirk.
“I’ll let myself through. Go grab a coffee, I just need a word with Serena.”
Looking through the glass of the office wall I watch her for a minute while she works. Lost in concentration, but on hearing the click of the door she lifts her head seeing me and holds my stare. While she keeps her composure, it doesn’t take much for the traitor in my pants to recognise her. Two of the buttons on her shirt are open showing a little cleavage. Her red hair is swept back of her face and she has glasses on.
Fuck me. Now can you see why I have the biggest hard on?
Rapping the glass softly with my knuckles I walk in without an invite, until I’m standing in front of her desk. Relaxing my posture, I slide my hands into my pockets, as her gaze travels slowly up my body.
“Good morning Ms Davenport, would you mind if I sit?”
“What are you doing here? I still have over the weekend yet?” Her eyes narrow at me in question.
“I know you do. I’m not here for that.”
Looking down to her desk I see she’s working on her pitch. With her forearms on the desk she covers most of what she’s done. I feel the smirk on my face as she does, and she gives me a sarcastic grin.
“I’d offer you a coffee, but I know how much you hated it last time. So, what do I owe this little visit?”
Her eyes are wild, a slight flush spreads across her cheeks as she fidgets in her chair. Not waiting for the invitation I’m probably not going to get; I pull the chair out and sit down, raising my leg to rest my ankle across my knee. Her pretty green eyes watch every move, as I hold on to my leg.
