To the love of my life, Jacob Pendleton, though it took us eight years to figure things out, you are the happiest ending to my story. Thank you for being by my side during all these years of recovery, as well as during the writing of this book. My life with you and our precious sons is everything I could have ever wanted.

HOLLY K. DUNN is a survivor, a motivator, and a tribute to the resiliency of the human spirit. The victim of a violent physical and sexual assault and witness to her boyfriend’s murder, Holly has become a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who face life’s darkest trials. In her work as a motivational speaker and trainer, Holly uses her horrific experience and long journey of healing to inspire and enlighten her audiences. She motivates others to reclaim their lives after trauma, and works with her community to build a network of healing and outreach to victims of abuse and sexual assault. Holly graduated in 2000 from the University of Kentucky in Lexington with a degree in finance. She also earned an MBA from the University of Southern Indiana in 2006, and an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from Oakland City University in 2007.
