The Giant’s Join-the-Dots
Furball’s lost her fur!
Can you join the dots and make her fluffy again?
FURBALL’S HAMSTER HIDEOUT
Furball loves snuggling in her sock.
Make your pet a comfy place to sleep.
You will need:
An empty plastic ice cream tub
Scissors
Shredded newspaper
An old, clean sock
1. Clean and dry your ice cream tub, and throw away the lid.
2. Ask a grown-up to cut a hole out of one side, to make a doorway.
3. Turn the tub upside down and place it in the cage, like a mini house.
4. Fill your hamster house with shredded newspaper, and a comfortable old sock.
THE SNARK SUPER SWING
Snarks are what ooms call squirrels, and they love jumping around in the trees.
Give your pet a mini-playground so he or she can get active too!
You will need:
A cardboard tube a bit longer than your hamster Scissors or a compass
A piece of string twice the height of your cage
1. Ask a grown-up to cut the tube in half, long-ways. Choose the bigger half to use for your swing, and then poke a small hole through either end.
2. Thread the piece of string down through one hole, along the underside of the cardboard, and pull it up through the hole at the other end.
3. Put the swing in the cage, and ask a grown-up to help you tie the two long ends of the string securely to the roof of the cage.
4. Make sure the swing is close to the floor so your hamster can get in and out easily.
