I stretched my hand out to shake on it. Piper pulled back quickly and shook her hand like I’d broken it.
“You’re in trouble,” Brittany said. “All she has to do is walk over and ask that guy over there if he’ll kiss you. He’ll do it, you know.”
“I know,” Piper said. “But I know Liv. She might go over and ask him to throw a football with her or challenge him to a race. But she won’t kiss him.”
And the sad thing was, she was right. But that was going to change.
