Desire pooled on my senses for her. "Want to bet on that?" I said, meeting stare after longing stare. I had a feeling that we'd be challenging ourselves for a long time. My book might almost be done, but my life with her has just began. I licked my lips and gave her room to stand. "I want to see you naked and ready when I go to your room, Lynx. Don't disappoint me."
Her mouth parted as she got up. "Hurry," she answered huskily. Lynx gave me a light squeeze on the ass before she went to the stairs.
I stared at the windows, satisfied with my life, a smile spreading on my lips. This wasn't a love story. Far from that. It was a discovery, an admittance, a realization. If you felt butterflies in your stomach while witnessing that, then lucky for both of us. I did a better job than what I've set out to do.
After everything's been said and done, let's stop for a moment and return to the reason why I created this book, why I went through all the trouble. What did it take to be a lesbian?
I've learned that it wasn't the race, the age, the people around you, or belief in religion. The answer was, none of that mattered. We could never really describe it in one sentence that would make anyone unwilling to open their hearts to us understand. We just came to be, and here we were. Believe me, I know. Whistling an ending song that could be anything in the world you'd relate to, I turned to the stairs and departed, ready to have a wild night with the love of my life before an early rise.
Acknowledgment
This book wouldn't be possible without God. Thank you, God, for giving me this opportunity to open people's minds. And you, you know who you are. Thank you for dedicating your time, effort, and energy in everything I do. I would be locked in a mental institution without you, though I know you're one of the people who cause it too. To the members of my fans club, thanks once again for trying to boost my career, for promoting my books endlessly, and for showering me with love when I need it the most. You guys are one of the reasons why I'll always love what I do. Special mention to my cat for meowing endlessly outside the window that I have to buy ear plugs just to finish this book.
To you who never gives up on me. Let's grow together. There's always room for improvement.
And to the following people, thank you for the translation. I'm truly grateful for your assistance. My readers all over the world, you rock!
