  Janice

The little bells hung on the door chimed as the man walked in. Still holding a bunch of red roses, she turned around with a smile.

“Hello, sir, may I help you?” She grinned amiably. Putting the vase away, she walked gracefully to the counter.

“Yes, indeed.” There was certainty in his voice. He narrowed his eyes and his mouth was split into a wide cunning smile.

“Oh, it’s you, Mr. Johnson.” She recognized her customer at once. “You came here yesterday. Did you make your wife happy?”

“Yes.” Mr. Johnson leaned forwards and sniffed. “Janice… you’re still as tempting as always.”

  “Huh?” Janice raised her brows.

  “I like your smell.”

“Mr. Johnson,” Janice tried her best to remain calm and made a faint smile. “Thank you for your compliment. Do you want the same thing you ordered yesterday?”

“What did I order yesterday?” Mr. Johnson grinned and approached her.

“Tulips, sir.” Janice looked away to avoid his gaze.

“You said Tulips mean the declaration of love.” He didn’t seem to sense her rebellion. He kept moving closer.

  “Yes, that’s right.” Janice said.

“I want another type of flowers today.” Mr. Johnson said as he seized Janice’s hands.

“You want a change?” Janice widened her eyes, staring straight into his.

“Yes.” He whispered into her ears. “I want a flower called Janice.”
