The Fincredible Diary of Fin Spencer Page 7

by Ciaran Murtagh

But then it got even better when I came home. It turned out we didn’t have to sell anything after all. One of my dad’s mates had tickets for the concert but couldn’t go to the new show. Dad had bought them off him! I’ve always said my dad is the best dad ever!

When I got to bed I thought about my day and wondered if there was anything I should change in this diary. BRAD was off my back because I’d stood up to him. JOSH and I were friends again because I’d said sorry. I was going to see X-WING because I had parents who were always thinking about me. And CLAUDIA RONSON had asked me out. None of this was thanks to the diary. It was all thanks to me.

I’ve realised I don’t need a magic diary to make things better, I just need to be myself. If I do the right thing at the right time, I won’t have to change it afterwards and if I don’t do the right thing at the right time – well, I should do my best to correct mistakes myself. I think it’s time to ditch this thing.

Like I said at the start, I’m not a diary person. I’m a STUNTBOY. I don’t need a diary like this. It’s time to say goodbye. If I want to make millions selling my story in years to come, I’ll just have to try and remember it. Meddling with the past like this just isn’t worth it. Unless it’s something really important. NO! Not even then. This is FIN SPENCER: Stuntboy signing off forever.

Although … maybe first I should do something about Ellie being better than me at We can’t have that, can we?
