Pyro's Final Flame : Twisted Iron MC Page 12

by Liberty Parker

Their affiliation with the moniker MC is a laughing matter in mine and most of the other motorcycle clubs’ opinions. They’re a gang of misfits, who are branded and known as a motorcycle club, which I’ll gladly help strip them of. It would be my pleasure to rid the world of those pussies. Many have tried, but they seem to just resurface like a case of a bad rodent infestation in almost every state. Hopefully, we’re prepared for all scenarios. We have studied their acts of the past and laid out multiple plans accordingly. Now we have to hope that for once in their miserable existence that they know what’s good for them and let this go for good. Otherwise, blood will most certainly be shed and lives will be lost. Rogue and Kolton have a meeting planned later today and if I know my pres the way I think I do; we’ll know in a few short hours exactly what our plan of action is gonna be.

My blood begins to pump and flow recklessly through my veins at this very thought. Blood, mayhem, torture, and the possibility of fireworks at my own hands? Yeah, this is the shit I thrive on. The only downfall is the fact that my woman is at the center of it all. This is so personal to me that I’m certain the devil himself couldn’t take me out now without one helluva fight on his hands. Shara and I have barely started our lives together, and we’ve got many more memories we’ve yet to make. So, I’ll be damned if I let that get cut short due to some maniacal pussies holding onto an old grudge.

So deep in thought as I sit outside chain smoking and thinking of all the ways this could play out, I never hear my woman as she joins me outside. Her delicate, but soft touch as she begins to massage my shoulders alerts me to her presence.

“So much tension, DP. What’s going through that skull of yours?” She reaches her head around, silently asking me for a drag off my lit tobacco.

“Just thinking, my little savage. Probably overthinking,” I add as I oblige, giving her a taste of the nicotine I’m currently puffing on. “Hell, I know I’m doing some overthinking considering I never even heard you make your way outside. And that, my love, is not good. I need to regain my focus with a clear head. Get dressed,” I order her, “let’s go for a ride.”

I can feel the warmth of her breath as her lips make contact with the top of my head as she plants a kiss. “Give me five minutes and there will be nothing but wind in our hair, and miles behind us.”

The wind in my face seems to be all the therapy I needed. Looking into my side mirror, I see Shara’s head thrown back. The freedom of the open road as the ground passes underneath us, opens up my senses and my mind’s synapses are once again in place. Sometimes you just need to relax to allow yourself to refocus. Her hands are traveling up and down my stomach, causing it to clench with each movement. Her fingers are grazing over my cut, but I swear I can feel everything they’re doing. I am so intune with her, that I can practically read her thoughts. I know that tonight, she’ll be under me, clawing up my shoulders and back as I pound away inside of her. It’ll take nothing more than me giving her a smoldering look before she’s climbing me like a tree. I love her unbridled and watching her lose control of her inhibitions. We ride through the streets of town then through the winding country roads before we make it to a place of peaceful existence for the both of us. This is a place where we come when we need to leave our lives behind us for a short time. When I shut the bike off, I lift up my hand to help her dismount. Once we both have our helmets removed, we walk up the hill, hand in hand. Neither one of us need words to fill in the silence. The birds are chirping as they nest for the night and there’s a small breeze encompassing our surroundings with a fragrance of wildflowers. Nature’s natural perfume that does nothing for me the way my woman does. But it still is nice not to be dragging the city’s smog into my lungs.

“I never get tired of coming here,” Shara says, as she stops and tilts her head toward the sky. The breeze is blowing her hair in the wind, making her a beautiful portrait to admire. It never ceases to amaze me how much beauty surrounds this woman. I could stare at her for hours and never grow tired of watching her.

“I could stare at this beautiful canvas all day,” I tell her. She turns her head in my direction as a sultry smile graces her face when she recognizes that it’s her I’m enraptured by, and complimenting; not that of the scenery surrounding us.

“Remember the first time we came here?” she questions me as she once again turns her face looking at all the wonders of the world surrounding us.

“I do. It was our first ride together. I wanted to share this place with you something fierce. I’d never brought anyone out here before that. No one was important enough to me to show my solitary place where I could just be.” It was my sacred place; none of my brothers to this day know where I come.

“When you told me you’d never brought anyone here before, I felt special… important.”

“You are both special and important, Shara. Never doubt that, my little savage.” She’s become the sole reason I live each and every second of my life to the fullest. I used to think I was satisfied with my existence, but once she sauntered her sexy ass into both of my worlds, I understood that all I was doing was trudging my way through. I’ve already dubbed and patched her as my old lady, now it’s time for something more. I want my ring on her finger and her belly swelling with my child. I want to see her head thrown back in laughter as our children frolic and play. She’s been let down too many times by men in her life, I want to show her that I’m in this for the long haul. Patting my pocket, I feel the ring box mixed in with my knife and keys. Slyly pulling it from its hiding place, a place it’s been for weeks now, just waiting for the right time, I lower myself to one knee… just how it’s done in those romance movies she enjoys.

She must’ve seen me drop out of the corner of her eye because she whips around then throws her hand up over her mouth before breathlessly whispering my name, “Pyro.”

“I’m not the romantic type of guy, Shara. Never have been and I don’t see that changing anytime in the near future. All I can tell you and promise you is that there won’t be a day that goes by that I won’t love you. My first and last thoughts will always be of you. I’ll strive every damn day of our lives to see to your happiness. I’ll be your shoulder to cry on when the day’s been bad, my hands will get bloody next to yours as we rid the world of its trash. I’ll fuck you as much as our bodies can take, then hold you in my arms while we fall asleep. I want babies with you and the whole white picket fence.”

“I don’t need a perfect cookie cutter house, Pyro. I only need you,” she says with her chin trembling and tears now coating her cheeks.

“Is that a yes then, Shara?” I ask, even though I’m sure of her answer.

“That’s always a yes, Pyro. My Dark Prince, you’ve given me everything and so much more. I love you.” She reaches up and wipes the tears away. She throws her left hand out and spreads her fingers apart. “Need my ring.”

Smiling brightly, I take the sparkling piece of jewelry out of the velvet box and slide it on her ring finger. Perfect fit. Just like she is to me.

  Shara

I’m trying not to portray the loss of words I’m feeling. I never foresaw Pyro and I having that piece of paper proclaiming we belong to one another. I thought that me wearing his patch was as far as things would go between us. And I was perfectly okay with that. As long as he’s mine one way or another, I was utterly, blissfully happy. But this step, it’s huge for the both of us. Pyro came prepared, he went to his bike and pulled out a blanket that was stuffed into his saddle bags; then laid it out under my favorite tree. We simply laid on it and talked about our future and where we saw it going. Simple touches and fiery kisses were as intimate as we got. Just laying there in his arms was more than enough for me.

Now, as we pull up to our home, it somehow appears different. It’s ours, not just his that I’ve been a long-time visitor, an interloper of. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it never truly felt like mine; even if I did call it such. But now that our future has been mapped out, the scenery and f
eeling surrounding the home has changed.

Excited to go inside and announce my pending nuptials to my dad, my heart slowly sinks to the pit of my stomach as I search the house and backyard for him with no luck.

Pyro’s caught on and is helping look, but when I open the closet door to the room he was staying in, I don’t see a single one of his belongings. “What? No!” I can feel Pyro’s body press against mine from behind as he places his hands on top of my shoulders.

“Maybe he’s still in the meeting with Rogue?” he offers.

My eyes begin to burn as tears prick the back of my lids and I try desperately to hold them in, but fail as I feel two slip and roll down each cheek. Wiping them away, I remark, “And if that’s the case, Asher, why would he need to bring his belongings?” I turn to face my man head on, “I know that I am not privy to club information, but I swear on everything if I find out that my dad has been threatened or harmed in any way, shape or form by anyone in this club…”

Pyro’s hand quickly finds my mouth and covers it, muffling the rest of my words. “Don’t you dare think that or better yet, finish that sentence, Shara. You’re Twisted Iron now. Not those piss poor excuses of an MC, the Death Destructorz. We’re family around here and you should know that by now. So, to even think ill or speak negatively against your club brothers and sisters could and most likely would get us both killed.” He removes his hand from my mouth and points his finger at me. “Watch your damn mouth, woman. You’re mine, and anything you do is a direct reflection of and on me. Let me call Rogue and see if he knows anything.”

  Pyro

Pulling out my cell, I call Rogue as I turn away from Shara and begin to walk into the living area of our house.

  “Talk to me,” Rogue answers.

“Sorry to bother you, pres, but I have a question.”

“And depending on the question, I might have an answer. Make it quick, brother. Spending some quality time with my woman.”

“Well, I know that you and Kolton had a meeting today and, well, now he’s just up and left. Any idea where he might be? Has he decided to stay at the clubhouse?” I look over at Shara who has become like a Siamese twin that’s attached to my hip as she bites at her cuticles and eagerly awaits any word.

“God dammit!” Rogue roars out through the phone and I watch as my woman’s eyes grow wide with concern, knowing she could hear him. “My best guess is that he’s gone back to California to try and help ready Steel Empire face-to-face for the endless possibilities headed all of our ways. I highly advised against this as he’s more helpful to his daughter by staying here with us. I didn’t really get too much more out of him besides the fact that this entire thing has stirred up some buried emotions and he’s ready to rid the world of that trash. That would be fine and dandy for him and Steel Empire, but we’ve got the missing link smack dab in the middle of our club. One thing is for certain, there’s a war about to go down and it directly involves one of our own. So, I’ll be damned if they try to exclude us from this. As this club’s president, I won’t be at all satisfied until I’ve seen life drain from the lives of the Death Destructorz. Church first thing in the morning and I’ll let the others know. Oh, and you might as well get your fill of pussy tonight because no matter what, tomorrow, we pack and prepare to make our way to the West Coast.”

“See you in the morning, pres,” I reply before Rogue ends the call. I knew we would be going to war; I just didn’t suspect it would be so damn soon. But, the sooner we rid those fuckers from this world, the better. I’m ready to make things legal between my woman and I and plant her so full of my seed that she’s bearing our child sooner rather than later; and I’m not comfortable one bit having her pregnant while these assholes are out to get her.

“Well?” she asks me while still chewing at her nail beds. I reach out and pull her fingers gently away from her mouth. “I heard the profanity in the beginning, but the rest afterward sounded muffled. But, by the sound of your tone and brief answers, it isn’t good I take it?”

“Listen up, my little savage,” I begin, taking her hands into mine, “your dad is fine most likely.”

Yanking her hands free from mine, she shouts, “Most likely? What the fuck, Pyro? What does that mean?”

Taking her hands back into mine a little more forcefully this time, I rub my thumb over the ring I recently placed on her finger. “After their meeting earlier and some things your dad mentioned, Rogue believes he’s gone back to California. Probably in an attempt to rectify this whole situation himself with some help from the Steel Empire. That’s great and all, but you’re not just Steel Empire’s blood, Shara. You’re my old lady, Twisted Iron, my fiancé, future mother of my children and the next generation here. We have a vested interest in seeing this whole through to the bitter end and this is not something that we will turn a blind eye to. I am gonna warn you now that you’re about to experience your first ever club lockdown.” I can feel my head lower as a lump forms in my throat while I gather the strength to tell her, “We’ll most likely be heading out the day after tomorrow, if we don’t end up riding out tomorrow afternoon. I won’t know until later tomorrow morning, my love.” I squeeze her hands in mine. For some reason, the thought of never seeing her again, or losing one of my brothers is becoming more real by the second; and that fear will only continue to grow until we’re there amidst the middle of this shit storm.

“Well, fuck,” she replies somberly, almost as if she’s in shock, or expected this. Grabbing her cell, she tells me, “I’ll get his ass on the phone and find out what’s going on. He’ll definitely answer for me, I’m his child for fuck’s sake.”

I watch as she taps her foot mindlessly as her phone rings time and again with no answer. “Shara, baby, he’s okay. He’s got the backing of another powerful MC. I know you’re worried, and I’m not gonna sit here and try to convince you to stow that away. But, he’s done a great job so far keeping you and himself protected. I’m sure you’ll hear from him when he feels it’s safe enough for you. Baby, you’ve got to trust him, as hard as it sounds,” I try to calm and assure her.

She throws herself into my arms and begins to sob uncontrollably. “I just want it all to end, Asher,” she mumbles through her breakdown.

Her entire body is shaking and I have never seen her cry in this manner. In between her sobs, she intermittently lifts her head from my chest long enough to scream. The cries she’s hollering out are so full of anger and loud enough I’m certain the nearest neighbors can probably hear. No words, nothing in particular, just pure rage-filled screams; and I feel helpless. I want to make this disappear and all better for her, and I will, but for now all I can do is hold her as she unleashes her emotions.

  Shara

The smell of food being cooked and freshly brewed coffee arouses my senses, waking me from my slumber. As I begin to stretch out my arms and my eyes begin to flutter open, I can make out the silhouette of my man entering the bedroom.

“Woke up early and had a light load of groceries delivered. No way I was leaving you, and I knew we were needing to make a run. Didn’t get too much because I know neither of us are gonna be here for a little while,” he tells me, taking up residence beside me on the bed. Leaning down, he places a kiss on my forehead. “You tossed quite a bit last night so I was trying to let you sleep as long as possible. But, I’m glad you’re waking up now because I need to get some food in you before we have to leave. There’s bacon, eggs, biscuits, orange juice, and some fresh coffee.” He gently pats my leg. “Come on, let’s eat,” he commands as he stands up.

Still sleepy, I grumble a little as I push the blanket off of me and stand, stretching my legs. I check my phone to see if I’ve possibly heard anything back from my dad and aside from a text message from Nova, there’s nothing. I sigh underneath my breath. “Smells amazing, DP,” I praise him while following him into the kitchen.

After devouring breakfast, I dread my shower, and every other thing I need to do to get
myself ready for the events about to unfold today. The thought of being away from my man for an unforeseeable amount of time does not sit well with me. I’m certain the other women feel the same way, so having each other to lean on during this time will be needed.

As I brush my teeth, Asher approaches me from behind, rubbing his hands up and down my back. “It’s all gonna work out, baby. Everything will be fine and when I return, I’ll bring your dad back with me alive and well.”

After I spit and rinse my mouth out, I rebut, “How can you be so sure? Pyro, how can you make such a promise to me with no way of possibly knowing the future?” I can feel the pressure building behind my eyes as tears once again threaten to steal the show. Get yourself together, Shara. My goodness you’re becoming soft.

“I make no promises, my love. Only that I want you to rest easy while I’m away knowing that I’m doing everything possible in my power to make it back safely to you; and bring your dad also. This club as a unit are not rookies where threats are concerned. We’re strong and resilient. I don’t see that changing and I’m gonna need you to trust and believe in this; in me,” he issues with such confidence in his tone.

Turning to face him, I nod before nestling my head into his chest where he wraps his arms around me; my personal safety net. As much as I long for a guarantee of his safe return to me, I knew the life I signed up for when I became his.

  Pyro

The ride to the clubhouse felt surreal. As much as I love revving my baby’s engine and flying down the road, a part of me wanted to stretch this ride out as long as possible. I wanted to soak in and revel in each moment I have right now with my woman. Am I afraid for my life? Not even a little. What has me concerned is that I can’t promise her anything about this upcoming battle. Death doesn’t scare me one bit, but the thought of what would happen to Shara if something did, does frighten me. She’s been through enough in this lifetime that she needs some good, she deserves it, and I believe that is up to me to see it through. Not to mention the thought of another man touching her with his grimy hands makes me rage with anger inside. I vow on everything I’ve ever loved that I would haunt and torture that motherfucker from beyond the grave. But, I can’t let Shara know I’m having any of these thoughts; she can’t see me sweat. She’s in a vulnerable and emotionally weakened state at the moment as it is. It’s my job as her man, her protector now, to do my best at always making sure she feels safe and secure. As we park and I turn my bike off, I scan the clubhouse parking lot noticing not everyone’s here yet. With her head resting against my back, Shara gives my waist a tight squeeze and my eyes close as I pray there are many more memories like this to look forward to. For now, I have got to show her strength.
