  THE END

P.S. One more little thing you might like to know . . .

Just as they were coming to the end of the parade, one of the streamers fell straight into Nicola's hand.To her surprise, there was a gold envelope attached to it with her name written in thick black letters: NICOLA BERRY.

Curious, she opened it.There was a white card inside. It said:

  Dear Nicola,

I understand you're the leader of a brigade of highly trained intergalactic freedom fighters and that you recently saved a planet by the name of EARTH.

Our small but exquisite planet is currently facing grave danger of a rather unusual kind and we would like to engage your services. Payment would be both generous and delicious.

If you are available and interested in taking on a new mission, please don't hesitate to call this number: 902856082484509342 508905180891230943809421.

We look forward with much anticipation to hearing from you,

  COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF,

  PLANET OF SHOBBLE

Nicola put the card back in the envelope and looked at the other members of the Space Brigade.Would they be interested in taking on another mission?

She had a feeling the answer would be a very definite ...YES.

Liane Moriarty had her first story published when she was ten years old. Her mother still thinks it's the best thing she's ever written. When she is not writing she's either eating chocolate, reading in the bathtub or competing with her husband to see who can get their baby to laugh the fastest.
