“Are you serious?”
“As a heart attack. You happy?”
My hand slid up behind her neck, bringing her face just inches away from mine. “As I could ever be. I promise to love you forever, Charlee.” I spoke against her lips.
“Forever and almost always, right?” She teased as I looked at her confused. “Because you always seem just out of my grasp when it comes to the always part.” She teased.
I shook my head at her. “Forever and always, Charlee.”
“I think I can deal with that.” She kissed me hard and my pulse began to race, just as she pulled back and opened the door. I got out first and turned to help my wife out of the car to go celebrate with the people we loved the most in this world.
There was nothing left for me to want or need in this life because this amazing woman had already gave me more than I could ever ask for. She was my wife, my best friend and now she was going to be the mother of my child. I admired her. She was everything I wasn’t, but strived to be. We were off to start our forever side by side, and I couldn’t wait to see where this crazy life would take us. All I knew was, as long as I had her by my side, this was bound to be the best ride of my life.
