Acknowledgments
This book was made possible by the original writings of Nellie Bly (Around the World in 72 Days) and Elizabeth Bisland (In Seven Stages: A Flying Trip Around the World). It was a joy to combine their work and create a novelized version to bring their story back to life for a new generation.
Thanks to the support of my newsletter group! All of you encourage me to keep writing. Gratitude also to my early readers Kristi Doyle, Sarah Chanis, Shawna Shade, and especially Julie Ropelewski who went above and beyond. To my street team: Sydney, Alice, Jen, Sarah, Charity, Emily K., Julianna, Emily M., and Carissa, thank you for your encouragement. To Brandi Stewart, for a final edit and your constant support. To my writing pal Kitty Bucholtz who challenges me to try new things and assured me the path to independent publishing wasn’t as dark and scary as it seems.
To my family, maybe now that the book is done I’ll quit talking about Liz and Nellie. Maybe. Thanks for your patience while I worked out this fun story. If I ever retrace their route, I’ll take you along.
And finally my readers. It would be a much duller life if my stories stayed in my head. The introvert in me finds it nerve-wracking to imagine people reading my stories, but I’m glad you are. Please consider leaving a review to help other readers decide whether to read about the around the world adventure of Liz and Nellie.
