Sweet Satisfaction Page 10

“Please let me fuck your mouth my way,” he groaned. He’d never begged before, and he considered this giving her an education in blowjobs .

Her eyes widened and she kissed the tip of his cock. “What do you want? I’ll do anything for you. You know that .”

“I do.” He grinned. “Lie on your back.” He positioned her so that the base of her head barely hung over the edge of the bed and then he stepped onto the cold floor. He was so hard and spun up, he didn’t care .

She looked at him from upside down. She looked like sex goddess. Her hair hung around her to the floor in heavy waves. He pressed his cock to her lips and slid it into her mouth. He hissed loudly as he pushed it to the back of her throat. She gagged lightly, but it didn’t take her long to realize he could go deep this way. So deep .

His balls pressed to her lips he was so fucking deep in her mouth. He felt his spine tingle and spasm. Cami looked into his eyes, locked on his gaze while he pumped in and out of her. His hands slammed on either side of the mattress as his mouth found her sweet pussy .

A muffled groan came from her throat as he thrust his tongue inside her. He couldn’t stop now. His fucking orgasm was on the brink of explosion. He licked and sucked her clit until she was rocking her hips into his face. Oh, fuck he loved this sweet dirty girl. He lapped at her, harder and faster until they both came. Her pussy glistened with her juices. He roared over the bed as he emptied his release deep in her throat .

“Fucking, shit,” he growled. “Oh, baby,” he panted, pulling his cock from between her lips .

She grinned, wiping her mouth and then spinning out from under him .

“So that’s how you like your blowjobs? Upside down?” She giggled .

He kissed her. “That’s how I like them with you. You’re fucking incredible. Do you know that ?”

“Incredible enough for coffee in bed?” she asked .

He laughed loudly. “Especially for that.” He hopped up and looked around for a pair of pants. He was going to need to start keeping extra clothes here if he was going to stay over more often. He threaded a T-shirt on over his head .

“Want me to go to Hurricanes ?”

She nodded. “And muffins? Can you bring back muffins ?”

“I can do that. Might cost you another blowjob.” She threw a white pillow at him and he dodged the attack .

He grabbed his wallet from the dresser .

“What are we going to do today?” Cami asked .

“You’re the one who doesn’t want to get out of bed .”

Her eyes widened. “Would you do that? Could we spend an entire Sunday in bed? We could watch Christmas movies .”

“And football?” He thought he’d at least ask .

“Half and half?” she suggested .

He laughed. “Fine. You have a deal .”

She let the sheet fall from her breast and he stopped in the doorway. “Maybe we won’t watch anything if you’re going to be dressed like that today .”

She winked. “This is exactly how I plan to be dressed .”

Holy fuck. He shook his head and walked out of the room. “Going to get your coffee,” he called over his shoulder .

  Nineteen

  Cami

I t was the day before Christmas Eve. Cami stopped by Evan’s office after she delivered boxes of peppermints and divinity to the senior home. Georgia greeted her in the hallway .

  She looked completely stressed .

“Georgia, are you all right?” Cami asked. She looked around to see if there was anyone who could them. She’d never seen anyone look so pale .

“No. No. There’s a leak at the community building .”

“Is someone hurt? Did something happen?” She had this sudden instinct to check on Evan. It was silly that a leak could somehow hurt him, but Georgia was acting like someone had died .

“Flooded. The whole place is flooded .”

“Oh I’m sorry.” Cami crinkled her forehead. She looked up when Evan strolled out of his office .

“Hey, you.” He had a terse smile on his face .

“What’s going on? Something about the community building?” She wasn’t sure she could leave Georgia sitting on the bench in the hallway .

Evan exhaled. It was hard to focus when he looked this good in a suit .

“The entire first floor is flooded. Pipes burst overnight when the temperature dropped below freezing .”

“I’m sorry. But I still don’t get what the crisis is. I mean other than it’s a big building .”

Evan pointed to the announcement board over her head, stapled with town flyers and advertisements. There was a large one in the middle that read Snow Ball .

  “Ohh.”

He nodded. “Yeah. Ohh. We’re going to have to cancel the ball .”

She jumped from the bench. “You can’t cancel it. We’ve always had the Snow Ball .”

“Ordinances won’t allow us to use the school gym. There’s nowhere else big enough to accommodate that size crowd. And I just talked to Bart. It’s supposed to snow tomorrow night. We can’t hold it outside .”

She didn’t know who in the hell Bart was, but that didn’t matter .

  “I know somewhere .”

Georgia stopped sniffling and looked up. “Honey, there’s no place in town .”

Cami smiled. “Yes, there is. I can host it .”

  “What?” Evan looked stunned .

“The entire side of the shop is vacant. That space is huge and you know they used to have the Snow Ball there years ago, back when it started .”

Georgia nodded. “That’s right. I went to my first Snow Ball in that building .”

  “See? It’s perfect .”

Evan scowled. That was never a good sign. “Cami, you don’t know what you’re signing up for .”

“I’ve already cleaned it out. It’s spotless. I’m sure there’s a decorating committee or something that can bring the decorations over. Samantha and Jamie will help me. We can pull this off. We’ll have the Snow Ball at the shop and you don’t have to cancel anything .”

He looked between the two women. “Are you absolutely sure ?”

She nodded. “I am. I want to do this for Harpers Point .”

Georgia scrunched her lips together. “And I was thinking it would be a nice touch if you’d sing, honey. Everyone would love it .”

“No.” Evan’s voice was curt. Cami was sure he was being protective, but the iciness shocked her .

“Sure, I could sing something .”

“Cami, that’s going overboard,” he argued. “Hosting the ball and performing ?”

“Just a few songs. I won’t do a full set or anything .”

Georgia clapped her hands together. “This is going to be lovely. Wait until I tell Claudine .”

Cami smiled. “I’m glad I came in when I did .”

“And why are you here?” Evan asked .

“Can we step in your office ?”

Georgia looked like she had recovered from her panic. Evan pulled Cami into his office .

“You know I don’t think this is a good idea for — ”

But she didn’t let him finish his sentence before she threw his arms around his neck. His mouth covered hers in an instant. “You know I’ve always had a fantasy about you and my office.” He waggled his eyebrows .

  “Have you?” she teased .

“Want to try it out ?”

“Not when Georgia in on the other side of a flimsy door.” She smiled. “I stopped by to ask you about Christmas .”

  “Christmas?”

She nodded. “Yeah. That big holiday we’ve spent all month preparing for .”

“Oh right. Christmas. That Christmas. What about it ?”

She shoved her hands in her back pockets. “Well, I wondered since we’ve been spending so much time together lately… well…we haven’t exactly been public about it, but do you want to spend Christmas with me ?”

He let out a deep laugh.
Baby, where else would I be on Christmas morning ?”

  She sighed. “Really ?”

“Really. Let’s do it. Your place or mine ?”

“We have to do mine I guess because of my car .”

Evan shook his head. “I think I’m done sneaking around. Who cares if the mayor is fucking the woman he loves .”

  Cami’s eyes widened .

“What? I can say fucking at work.” He looked serious .

“No.” She shook her head. “It was the other word .”

  “Love?”

She nodded. “You love me ?”

He tangled his hands in her hair and kissed her. “Of course I love you. I fucking love you. I love fucking you. I love everything about you .”

“I love you too.” She followed his eyes. “And right now I’m actually considering playing out your crazy sex fantasy in your office .”

He laughed harder than before. “Nice try, but you were right about that one.” He pinched her on the ass and she squirmed .

“Then let’s do Christmas at your house. We did decorate the tree together. And it’s cozier. I just have the little upstairs apartment .”

“I like your place too .”

His arms were around her waist. She liked how he held her. How he always liked to touch her .

“But it should be your house .”

“All right,” he agreed. “After the ball on Christmas Eve we’ll head back to Cove Avenue where I promise to give you every gift you’ve ever wanted all night long .”

She blushed. What in the hell would Georgia think if she overheard any of this .

  “You promise, Mr. Mayor ?”

He nodded. “Many times over .”

Cami reached for her bag. “I better go. I have a lot to coordinate before tomorrow night .”

“I’ll see you after work .”

Just as she suspected Georgia was on the other side of the door, her neck strained in the direction of Evan’s office .

“Good-bye, Georgia. I’ll see you at the ball .”

“Oh, honey. Thank you so much. So, so much .”

“No problem.” Cami raced out of City Hall, realizing she had just gotten in way over her head .

  Twenty

  Evan

H e didn’t have magical memories of the Snow Ball like Cami did. It wasn’t some sort of fairytale event he looked forward to. But tonight, the Snow Ball was going to be different. He looked inside the inner pocket on his tuxedo. The ring was still there .

Fuck. He shouldn’t be nervous. He had fought in war. Won an election. He was in charge of this town. He faced down crisis and disasters, but nothing made him want to run like the idea of asking Cami to marry him. Again .

He wanted her to have the ring when she woke up on Christmas morning, but he knew he might not make it that long. It had been on the tip of his tongue so many times. It was ready to fly out of his mouth. He wanted her to marry him. He always had .

It was one of those dreams he had never let go of, even though he had convinced himself he had. He just needed her back in his life to realize it .

“Mayor, looking good. Looking sharp in that tux.” One of the sound technicians walked past him as he strolled into the shop .

He stopped in his tracks. He couldn’t believe it. The place had been transformed into a Christmas palace. He stared at the ceiling. There was an enormous chandelier hanging from the center, where the historic one used to swing .

  “Surprised?”

He turned when he heard Cami’s voice .

“How? Where did you find it ?”

“Actually, I went to your grandmother’s to get that recipe. And it turns out, if you ask her anything from about fifty years ago, she’s sharp as a tack .”

He laughed. “Grandmother knew where to find the chandelier ?”

She nodded. “And she has so much information about the history of this town. Someone should write a book about her .”

“Or a song.” He winked .

“Or a song.” Cami smiled .

  “I can’t believe what you’ve done in here .”

“It wasn’t me. It was the decorating committee, and my little elves .”

“Well, your little elves are talented. This is going to be a Snow Ball, no one will ever forget .”

“I need to run upstairs and put on my dress. Can you watch everything for me while I’m there ?”

“Of course, baby. Anything you need .”

“Twenty minutes. Ok thirty minutes topped .”

He chuckled. “You’re going to dress for a ball in thirty minutes ?”

“I’m going to try.” She reached up on her toes and kissed him gently. “I can’t wait for the night to begin .”

Fuck. Yeah, he wasn’t going to make it to Christmas morning. That ring would be on her finger before midnight .

“I’ve got everything down here. Go get ready .”

Cami ran to the opposite end of the room and disappeared through the French doors and took the back entrance to her apartment .

Evan surveyed the activity going on. The stage was set on the far end of the room. They didn’t need to add a dancefloor. There were Christmas trees and lights everywhere. This was one time he hoped the Post did show up and take a million pictures. This was the kind of publicity the town could use .

“Hey, excuse me.” Someone tapped Evan on the shoulder. He turned around to face a guy with graying hair that needed to be cut. It was shaggy on the top and around his ears .

  “Yes?”

“I’m looking for Cami Addison. I can’t seem to find her and she’s not answering her cell .”

“Are you dropping something off? I can help.” He didn’t have a fucking clue where anything went, but he’d figure it out .

  “Yeah. A contract .”

Evan scratched the back of his head. Cami wasn’t authorized to sign contracts on behalf of the town. “What’s it for?” he asked .

The guy sighed. “It’s between Cami and me. Do you know where I can find her ?”

Evan didn’t like the way this was going. “What is it you need? Cami’s not available right now ?”

“Hey, man. I didn’t fly all the way from Nashville and then rent a car to drive out to the middle of nowhere to talk to one of her minions .”

  “Did you say Nashville ?”

  “Yeah. I’m Cami’s manager .”

He thought he saw red and black splotches flashing around the guy’s face. “Cami doesn’t have a manager anymore,” he stated. He wasn’t sure where he found the strength to keep from slugging the guy .

“I’m Peter Handle. I’ve been Cami’s manager for almost ten years. I need to talk to her about this contract. It has an expiration date on it, or else I wouldn’t be here. It’s Christmas Eve. You’ve got to realize this is a pretty big deal. Don’t you ?”

It was as if he had cut a hole beneath Evan’s ribs and let the air out in painful breaths. It seeped out, searing him. Why the fuck was this happening again? Cami had a manager? And a contract? Was she going to tell him she was headed back to Nashville ?

No. Fucking no. He wasn’t going through this again. She’d broken his heart before. And he wasn’t doing this. If she wanted to leave, then why should he stop her? Why should he have to convince her that there was no other place like Harpers Point ?

He strolled out of the ballroom and out the door. Peter shouted at him to stop, but he kept going. He didn’t turn around. He didn’t pause. He kept walking. He wouldn’t be the one to be left behind this time .

  Twenty-One

  Cami

“H as anyone seen the mayor?” Cami shouted over the microphone testing. “Anyone?” She had looked in the kitchen and by the sidewalk .

The ballroom was filling up now with the dates of the volunteers and a few early birds. She couldn’t find Evan anywhere. She tried calling him again, but his phone went straight to voicemail .

She smiled when she saw Ben and Hamp stroll in. “Hey guys.
Have either of you seen Evan? I can’t find him .”

She was wearing the most beautiful gown she had ever worn. She hoped it made up for her prom dress. She was dying for Evan to see her in it. And more excited for him to turn it into a pile of red tulle on his bedroom floor. It was strapless and hugged her breasts. They felt a little tender, but she smiled knowing now why that was .

She had a surprise for Evan. A huge surprise. She wanted to wait until Christmas morning to tell him, but she didn’t think she could wait that long .

The signs had been there all week, she just hadn’t put it together until this morning. She looked at the calendar for her shipping orders and realized the date was circled two weeks ago for her period. She was two weeks late. And if she counted correctly, that meant they conceived this baby their first night together. In the kitchen. It made her giggle a little .

While she was getting ready upstairs she ripped open the pregnancy test, peed on the stick, and waited the terrifying three minutes. Only, once she saw the two pink lines, she wasn’t terrified. She was overjoyed. She was elated. She was so freaking happy, she couldn’t wait to jump in his arms and tell him he was going to be a daddy .

“Nope. Haven’t seen him,” Ben answered. “But I want him to try this new beer flavor .”

She sighed. “Ok. If you do, will you please tell him I’m looking for him ?”

“Will do, Cami.” Hamp squeezed her on the shoulder as they made their way to the cocktail bar .

“Oh, honey. Look at you. Look at this place.” It was Claudine and Geogia. They each hugged her .

“Oh good. I’m glad I found you. Have you seen Evan?” She asked. “I mean, Mayor Jacobs.” She tried to sound formal .

They exchanged a knowing grin. “We know you two are an item. You don’t have to hide it from us,” Claudine whispered. “We can keep a secret .”

“Oh good.” Cami smiled. She wasn’t ready to discuss any details. She needed to find Evan and tell him she was pregnant .

“Remember that first night you moved in?” Claudine continued. “I saw that look in your eye. I knew it was just a matter of time before you two got back together .”
