“Daaamn, my girl is serious.” Bianca said, now on her second drink.

“You ain’t never lied,” Lauren said as she peeked down at her phone, realizing that she’d gotten a text.

Hey Boo, how have you been? Jamal

Lauren contemplated for a split second, and then decided to text him back.

  I’m okay. Lolo

I’m coming home and I want to see you & my son. Is that possible? Jamal

Lauren knew that Jamal was no good for her. However, with Rich acting a fool right now it wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

  Maybe. Lolo

Maybe is better than no. You good, tho? Jamal

  Yeah. Lolo

I’ll hit you up when I’m in town. Jamal

  K. Lolo

“Let me out,” Lauren told Bianca. “I need about three more of these drinks.” She said, wanting to feel lit for the night. Jamal messaging her at that moment had her caught up in her feelings.

Kerry leaned over to talk to Bianca. “What’s up with Lolo tonight?”

Bianca shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know, but what I do know is that I’m heading to this stage and throw my girl a few of these dubs. Fuck the dollars. The more money she makes, the quicker her ass can get outta my house,” she teased causing Kerry to laugh.

“Hell, I’m coming with you.” Kerry said still laughing as they headed toward the stage.

Meanwhile, ShaKita was enjoying her lap dances as poor Coco was still scoping out the scene. She felt better to see the Ware sister’s with her, but she definitely wasn’t feeling all the attention ShaKita was getting from the women that surrounded her.

I should walk over there, but then I’ll seem desperate. She thought, sipping on her fifth drink. She was definitely feeling good, but feeling good had her wanting to get ‘bout it ‘bout it. She’s probably just in here trying to get over our break-up. She thought, attempting to sike herself out. She tapped her cousin that she’d come with on the shoulder.

She leaned over toward her cousin. “Aye, are you ready to go? I think I’ve had enough of this tonight.”

“Shit, I’m ready when you’re ready. You’re the one that wanted to come here. You know I’m strictly dickly. Are you ready now, because your ex is over there with those women around her?” Her cousin asked.

“Naaah, I’ve just had way too many drinks and I think it’s time to take it in.” She said, but inside she was definitely sad and feeling some type of way. ShaKita was acting like a woman that had been single for months.

“Hold up.” Her cousin said, admiring the tall, good looking brother that passed their table. He had on a New York fitted, navy blue cap turned to the back and a tatted up sleeve. The diamonds sparkled in his ears, showcasing his handsome smile when he turned their way. He was definitely some sweet eye candy.

“Damn,” Coco said also enjoying the view. She was never into men; had never had a dick in her thirty-two years of life, but this sexy man could get it. “Who is that? I’ve never seen him around these parts of town?”

“I don’t know, but he’s heading in the back. We need to sit for a second. I might wanna holla at him.” The cousin said.

“Cool with me,” Coco agreed. “You know what? I’m gonna go holla at Kita right quick. Just to speak, you know. I miss her so much that I’m watching nigga’s now.” She teased.

“Go ‘head on girl. Do your thing. You’re looking fly as hell tonight, too. Show them bitches that they ain’t got shit on you.”

“I sure am,” she said standing up. She had on a pair of black, leather Jeggings and a short, yellow halter top. The matching yellow Red Bottoms definitely accentuated her sexy look. As she walked toward the back of the club where ShaKita was, she could see the handsome brother stop to speak with Lauren right quick.

Damn, is that her man? She quickly thought. The Ware sisters are hell. The man walked off though as she got closer causing her to have to speak to Lauren as she passed by.

“Heyyyy Coco,” Lauren said as her eyes bulged. Coco only waved with a sweet smile and kept walking. “Oooooh shit,” Lauren whispered, and then downed another drink while quickly getting up from her seat.

Coco stopped as the handsome man walked up to ShaKita and kissed her right in the mouth. WHAT THE FUCK? Coco quickly thought.

Even if she wanted to turn back now she couldn’t, because after that sensual kiss, ShaKita glanced in her direction. The look on her face told Coco all she needed to know as she walked straight up to them, immediately putting her hand on the side of her hip.

“Well hey ShaKita,” she spoke as Rocky backed up a little. In his mind, he’d already figured it out.

“Coco,” ShaKita said. “I didn’t know that you were here.”

“Yeah, I’ve been here.” She told her then looked back at Rocky. He definitely looked like someone ShaKita would be interested in and it broke her heart. “Who is this?”

“Well, uh…” ShaKita was almost speechless.

“Who the fuck is this?” She questioned again.

“Hey calm down,” Rocky said, attempting to step in.

  “Just chill, Coco.” ShaKita said.

POOOOOW!!! The loud slap that Coco had given ShaKita sounded off over the music. “Bitch, you were fucking him all along!”

ShaKita didn’t have time to think about any of it as she jumped up from her seat and grabbed Coco around the neck and to the floor they went. Rocky was trying to break it up, but ShaKita had gone ham and cheese on Coco right quick.

“BITCH, DON’T YOU EVER PUT YO’ MUTHAFUCKIN’ HANDS IN MY FACE!!!” she yelled out while punching Coco numerous times back to back. Coco couldn’t hang with her and probably was wishing that she would’ve just turned her drunk ass around and went on home. The crowd around them began to spread out as Rocky grabbed ShaKita off of Coco and held her back. Thinking that the fight was over since Rocky was holding ShaKita back, her cousin then ran up and snuck in a good lick to ShaKita’s face. That pissed Rocky off and he wanted to turn her loose, but unfortunately for her cousin, Lauren had already tagged that ass.

Lauren and the cousin was passing blow for blow, but Lauren kicked her in the stomach causing a slight delay in her next move. Bianca then stepped in from out of nowhere and nearly wiped the floor with her ass. It took both bouncers to get the sisters off of the cousin. Coco was still laid out on the floor from the severe punches that ShaKita had stuck her with. The bouncers had to carry both Coco and the cousin out of the strip club followed by making the sisters leave as well.

  Chapter 11

The next morning, Janay found herself scrolling through the grocery aisles. She was picking up a few packages so she could cook dinner later that day for Finn. Brison was secure in his baby seat in the front part of the buggy as she pushed it slowly checking the shelves, making sure that she didn’t forget anything. As she reached over and grabbed the Crisco Canola Oil, her cell phone began to ring. She looked at the caller ID noticing that it was Kerry calling.

  “What’s up, Sis.” She answered.

“Hey Sis, what are doing?” Kerry asked.

“Got my butt in this grocery store buying something to cook for later,” she responded. “What’s up?”

Kerry was anxiously waiting to hear her ask what was up, because she couldn’t wait to tell her about what had happened at the strip club. “Giiiiiiirrrrrrl, let me tell you what happened last night.” She started. “Your sisters got into a huge fight.”

“WHO?” Janay quickly asked. She was always interested in hearing about some Ware sister drama.

“Okay, let me break it down for you. So, last night we all went to Dips and Splits.”

  Janay frowned. “The strip club?”

“Yes, the strip club,” Kerry responded. “Tessa works there now.”

  “Bianca’s Tessa?”

“Yes, and since Bianca is anxious to help her be able to move out of her house soon, she wanted all of us to go support her. Plus, it was a cool way for us to get out the house a
nd have a good time together.”

  “Okay, keep going.”

“Well, we’re having this good time. Like I never thought that going to Dips and Splits would be that much fun, but it really was until your sisters started acting up.”

“Damn, what happened?” Janay asked while bending the corner to head down another aisle as she continued to browse the shelves.

“So, you know about Kita breaking up with Coco. Well, Coco was there, but none of us knew it. Kita was having a damn good time and had called Rocky to come out and party with her.”

“Oh shit,” Janay whispered as she picked up a box of Idaho Mash Potatoes.

“Tessa came out on the stage to dance while me and Bianca went where she was so we could make it rain on her. I’d gotten caught up with some ol’ cute dude that started making it rain on me. So, I stopped throwing my dollars and started twerking on him.”

“Girl, stop!” Janay said with a light chuckle.

“Next thing I know is that about twenty or so minutes after that, all hell broke loose.”

“Noooo,” Janay said, still waiting for the juicy scoop.

“Yessss honey, and how about Rocky came in the club and walked up to ShaKita. I guess that wouldn’t have been so bad, but then they shared a passionate kiss once they saw each other. And, guess who saw it?”

“COCO,” Janay answered, almost wanting to cover her face.

“Yep, and she had the guts to slap Kita in the face.”

  “No she didn’t.”

“Yes the hell she did and Kita beat her so bad that her cousin jumped in it.”

“Damn,” Janay whispered while shaking her head.

Kerry continued. “Her cousin actually caught Kita in the face while Rocky was holding her back, but Lauren was right there to tag that ass. Honey, Lauren’s drunk ass can go, but she had to kick that cock strong bitch to get her to back off. No sooner than she kicked her though, Bianca was on that ass. Lord, help that poor child.”

“Bianca got a hold of her, too?” Janay asked, feeling bad for Coco’s cousin and she didn’t even know her. “I can only imagine how that ended.”

“It ended with the bouncers having to carry Coco and her cousin out of the club. Girrrrrl, your sisters weren’t playing.”

  “Damn,” Janay said.

“Then they put our asses out.” Kerry laughed.

Janay chuckled about them getting put out too. “So, what were you doing, just standing there watching, Ms. Referee?”

“Hell, it wasn’t any need for me to jump in it, because you know they can hold their own. I just made sure that nobody else tried to jump in it.”

  “True.”

“You know we’ve never jumped in any of their fights unless we had no choice too.” She said, being that they were the oldest two and the calmer ones.

“Yeah, like the time when ol’ fat ass Lisa came walking her ratchet ass across the street that day with her and sisters and spit that hunk of cold in Kita’s face.”

  “Ewww, I remember that shit!”

“Yeah and I bet that bitch couldn’t spit for a week after that. We beat the hell outta them bitches!” Janay said causing Kerry to laugh.

“ShaKita and Bianca beat Lisa out of her clothes. She had them big, saggy titties hanging everywhere trying to fight. Then she grabbed Kita in the head lock. Kita bit her titty and said it left a nasty taste in her mouth for days.”

Janay laughed. “Hell, that’s cause she couldn’t breathe. Bianca said, she’ll be damned if she died from suffocation of that big bitch. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get a bitch off you.”

“You ain’t never lied, because I bet she turned her loose then.”

Janay kept laughing while trying to talk. “She sure did and then Bianca jumped in to help her and beat her ass so bad!” They both laughed out loud. Janay looked around the grocery store, knowing that she had people scoping her out.

“I still got a scar on my knee from fighting the other sister.” Kerry laughed.

“Hell, I think we all still got some kind of scars from fighting those super sized bitches. What were they eating back then? Talk about being cornbread fed; girrrrrl, they weren’t playing with it.” Janay laughed as she hit the corner and started down another aisle, running right into Heather. Her laughing instantly stopped as she and Heather stood face to face. This wasn’t someone that she was expecting to run into. It was like her heart had skipped a beat upon seeing her.

“Uh, let me call you back Sis,” Janay quickly said and ended their call.

“Hey Janay,” Heather spoke as soon as she slid her phone down inside of her purse.

  “Hey Heather,” she spoke back.

Heather peeked inside the baby seat at a sleeping Brison and smiled then focused her attention back on Janay. “How are you?” She asked, remembering that the last time that they were together Janay was going off about her showing up to their dinner party.

“I’m good,” Janay said. She had spoken to Finn many times over about what had happened that night and just wanted to apologize to Heather since she had the chance to make things right.

Neither could find the words to say as they both contemplated walking off. Heather figured why not her first. “Well, it was good seeing you,” she said, feeling somewhat uneasy about how Janay really felt about her.

“Look, before you leave,” Janay said, having to suck it up and just say it. “I wanted to apologize about last week. I don’t know what got into me.”

“No, it’s okay,” Heather responded with an unsure look on her face.

“No, it’s not okay. I hate having these feelings about you, but it just seems like you’re always all over my husband.” She said as a younger man walked by staring at them like he was trying to get an ear full.

“I’m sorry if I’ve offended you or have made you feel some type of way. Finn and I have just always been close. I know I may cross a thin line, but that’s because I’m just not used to this.”

  “What, him being married?”

“Well, maybe.” Heather responded. “But, I respect it and I’ve moved on. I’m sorry that I intruded on your dinner party. Had I known it would’ve turned out the way it did; I wouldn’t have come.”

“Well, Mrs. Carter always make sure you’re somewhere around. I guess it’s not your fault.”

“I don’t know what you mean by that, because Finn’s mom didn’t invite me, Aunt Lily did.” She said.

Janay frowned. “Aunt Lily invited you?”

“Yes, she just still can’t get over the fact that Finn and I have gone our separate ways. Mrs. Carter has finally accepted it, but Aunt Lily, not so much so.”

Janay stood there with a clueless expression on her face. Aunt Lily had been so nice and sweet to her. She couldn’t understand what was going on. “Oh, okay. Well, I’m glad that I saw you because I wanted to apologize.” She said, feeling so disconnected at the moment.

“No, problem and I’ll definitely respect your marriage. Finn and I are just friends. He reminds me all the time that he’s happily married. I do apologize for offending you, also.” Heather said.

Janay just smiled softly at her. “Well, I guess we’ll be going.” She said.

“Yeah, okay.” Heather responded then attempted to walk off.

“Hey,” Janay called out. “If you don’t mind me asking, what are your thoughts on Aunt Lily? I mean, how do you really feel about her.”

  “Weeeell,” Heather began.

“I mean,” Janay cut in. “She told me about her son and all. I just kind of felt bad for her. Do you know anything about that?”

“The only thing that I know is that he was killed. They never found out who did it. But, to answer your first question she is pretty cool with me. A little weird at times-”

“Weird, what you mean by weird?” Janay curiously asked.

“Oh, I just mean that she has some sort of attachment to Finn, but I think it’s because of her son dying and they were so close in age.

“Oh, okay. That’s understandable then.” Janay said, still curiously thinking. “I’ll see you around, I’m sure.”

“Yeah,” Heather said as she walked off then stopped. “Her husband used to be sick just like Finn’s father, but he died like ten years ago. Nobody ever talks about him either, though. That was always strange to me,” she said like she had gotten caught up in her thoughts then snapped back. “I’m just glad to see Mr. Carter doing better.”

Janay nervously swallowed hard as she cleared her throat. “Yeah, me too.” She said as Brison woke up, speaking his baby gibberish. This caused Janay to glance over at him. “Well, somebody is trying to tell me that he’s hungry.”

Heather smiled. “I see and he’s gotten so big, looking just like his daddy,” she said, still feeling somewhat envious that Janay had the life that she thought she’d have with Finn.

“Guess this time we’re heading on up to the front now. Talk to you later.” And with that, Janay pushed the buggy as she walked off, but thoughts of their conversation definitely plagued her thoughts.

Lauren had come home in the wee hours of the morning with intense emotions running through her veins. Having to fight Coco’s cousin reminded her that she was no pushover. It also reminded her that being with Rich was just too much for her at the moment and somehow she was going to have to get him out of her life. Instead of letting him run her over, she had to stand up for herself. Watching how crazy he was looking at Bianca when she was all up in his face, also told her that he wasn’t as bad as he claimed he was.

When she’d gotten home a few hours prior, it didn’t help that Rich was gone in her car. She definitely was beyond tired of that. She didn’t even get in her bed, because she didn’t want to sleep next to him so she got in her son’s bed and fell asleep. She lay there feeling like she was having a bad dream about Rich trying to kill her. Next thing she remembered was waking up with Rich’s hands around her throat. Immediately she started, kicking and fighting. He had certainly lost his everlasting mind and the look in his eyes told her that he meant business.

“Oh bitch, you been talking to your baby daddy?” He questioned. “Yeah, I peeped out your cell phone while you laying here knocked out.”
